Today's Date: ======= Isaiah 2:1 ============ Isa 2:1 The word which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.(nasb) Isa 2:1 ὁ λόγος ὁ γενόμενος παρὰ κυρίου πρὸς Ησαιαν υἱὸν Αμως περὶ τῆς Ιουδαίας καὶ περὶ Ιερουσαλημ (lxx) Isa 2:1 Verbum quod vidit Isaias, filius Amos, super Juda et Jerusalem.(vulgate) Isa 2:1 Dies ist's, das Jesaja, der Sohn des Amoz, sah von Juda und Jerusalem:(dhs) Isa 2:1 The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 2:2 ============ Isa 2:2 Now it will come about that In the last days The mountain of the house of the Lord Will be established as the chief of the mountains, And will be raised above the hills; And all the nations will stream to it.(nasb) Isa 2:2 ὅτι ἔσται ἐν ταῖς ἐσχάταις ἡμέραις ἐμφανὲς τὸ ὄρος κυρίου καὶ ὁ οἶκος τοῦ θεοῦ ἐπ᾽ ἄκρων τῶν ὀρέων καὶ ὑψωθήσεται ὑπεράνω τῶν βουνῶν καὶ ἥξουσιν ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸ πάντα τὰ ἔθνη (lxx) Isa 2:2 [Et erit in novissimis diebus: præparatus mons domus Domini in vertice montium, et elevabitur super colles; et fluent ad eum omnes gentes,(vulgate) Isa 2:2 Es wird zur letzten Zeit der Berg, da des HERRN Haus ist, fest stehen, höher denn alle Berge, und über alle Hügel erhaben werden, und werden alle Heiden dazu laufen(dhs) Isa 2:2 Now it shall come to pass in the latter days That the mountain of the Lord's house Shall be established on the top of the mountains, And shall be exalted above the hills; And all nations shall flow to it.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 2:3 ============ Isa 2:3 And many peoples will come and say, "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, To the house of the God of Jacob; That He may teach us concerning His ways And that we may walk in His paths." For the law will go forth from Zion And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.(nasb) Isa 2:3 καὶ πορεύσονται ἔθνη πολλὰ καὶ ἐροῦσιν δεῦτε καὶ ἀναβῶμεν εἰς τὸ ὄρος κυρίου καὶ εἰς τὸν οἶκον τοῦ θεοῦ Ιακωβ καὶ ἀναγγελεῖ ἡμῖν τὴν ὁδὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ πορευσόμεθα ἐν αὐτῇ ἐκ γὰρ Σιων ἐξελεύσεται νόμος καὶ λόγος κυρίου ἐξ Ιερουσαλημ (lxx) Isa 2:3 et ibunt populi multi, et dicent: Venite, et ascendamus ad montem Domini, et ad domum Dei Jacob; et docebit nos vias suas, et ambulabimus in semitis ejus, quia de Sion exibit lex, et verbum Domini de Jerusalem.(vulgate) Isa 2:3 und viele Völker hingehen und sagen: Kommt, laßt uns auf den Berg des HERRN gehen, zum Hause des Gottes Jakobs, daß er uns lehre seine Wege und wir wandeln auf seinen Steigen! Denn von Zion wird das Gesetz ausgehen, und des HERRN Wort von Jerusalem.(dhs) Isa 2:3 Many people shall come and say, "Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths." For out of Zion shall go forth the law, And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 2:4 ============ Isa 2:4 And He will judge between the nations, And will render decisions for many peoples; And they will hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, And never again will they learn war.(nasb) Isa 2:4 καὶ κρινεῖ ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν ἐθνῶν καὶ ἐλέγξει λαὸν πολύν καὶ συγκόψουσιν τὰς μαχαίρας αὐτῶν εἰς ἄροτρα καὶ τὰς ζιβύνας αὐτῶν εἰς δρέπανα καὶ οὐ λήμψεται ἔτι ἔθνος ἐπ᾽ ἔθνος μάχαιραν καὶ οὐ μὴ μάθωσιν ἔτι πολεμεῖν (lxx) Isa 2:4 Et judicabit gentes, et arguet populos multos; et conflabunt gladios suos in vomeres, et lanceas suas in falces. Non levabit gens contra gentem gladium, nec exercebuntur ultra ad prælium.(vulgate) Isa 2:4 Und er wird richten unter den Heiden und strafen viele Völker. Da werden sie ihre Schwerter zu Pflugscharen und ihre Spieße zu Sicheln machen. Denn es wird kein Volk gegen das andere ein Schwert aufheben, und werden hinfort nicht mehr kriegen lernen.(dhs) Isa 2:4 He shall judge between the nations, And rebuke many people; They shall beat their swords into plowshares, And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, Neither shall they learn war anymore.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 2:5 ============ Isa 2:5 Come, house of Jacob, and let us walk in the light of the Lord.(nasb) Isa 2:5 καὶ νῦν ὁ οἶκος τοῦ Ιακωβ δεῦτε πορευθῶμεν τῷ φωτὶ κυρίου (lxx) Isa 2:5 Domus Jacob, venite, et ambulemus in lumine Domini.]~(vulgate) Isa 2:5 Kommt nun, ihr vom Hause Jakob, laßt uns wandeln im Lichte des HERRN!(dhs) Isa 2:5 O house of Jacob, come and let us walk In the light of the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 2:6 ============ Isa 2:6 For You have abandoned Your people, the house of Jacob, Because they are filled with influences from the east, And they are soothsayers like the Philistines, And they strike bargains with the children of foreigners.(nasb) Isa 2:6 ἀνῆκεν γὰρ τὸν λαὸν αὐτοῦ τὸν οἶκον τοῦ Ισραηλ ὅτι ἐνεπλήσθη ὡς τὸ ἀπ᾽ ἀρχῆς ἡ χώρα αὐτῶν κληδονισμῶν ὡς ἡ τῶν ἀλλοφύλων καὶ τέκνα πολλὰ ἀλλόφυλα ἐγενήθη αὐτοῖς (lxx) Isa 2:6 [Projecisti enim populum tuum, domum Jacob, quia repleti sunt ut olim, et augeres habuerunt ut Philisthiim, et pueris alienis adhæserunt.(vulgate) Isa 2:6 Aber du hast dein Volk, das Haus Jakob, lassen fahren; denn sie treibens mehr als die gegen den Aufgang und sind Tagewähler wie die Philister und hängen sich an die Kinder der Fremden.(dhs) Isa 2:6 For You have forsaken Your people, the house of Jacob, Because they are filled with eastern ways; They are soothsayers like the Philistines, And they are pleased with the children of foreigners.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 2:7 ============ Isa 2:7 Their land has also been filled with silver and gold And there is no end to their treasures; Their land has also been filled with horses And there is no end to their chariots.(nasb) Isa 2:7 ἐνεπλήσθη γὰρ ἡ χώρα αὐτῶν ἀργυρίου καὶ χρυσίου καὶ οὐκ ἦν ἀριθμὸς τῶν θησαυρῶν αὐτῶν καὶ ἐνεπλήσθη ἡ γῆ ἵππων καὶ οὐκ ἦν ἀριθμὸς τῶν ἁρμάτων αὐτῶν (lxx) Isa 2:7 Repleta est terra argento et auro, et non est finis thesaurorum ejus.(vulgate) Isa 2:7 Ihr Land ist voll Silber und Gold, und ihrer Schätze ist kein Ende; ihr Land ist voll Rosse, und ihrer Wagen ist kein Ende.(dhs) Isa 2:7 Their land is also full of silver and gold, And there is no end to their treasures; Their land is also full of horses, And there is no end to their chariots.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 2:8 ============ Isa 2:8 Their land has also been filled with idols; They worship the work of their hands, That which their fingers have made.(nasb) Isa 2:8 καὶ ἐνεπλήσθη ἡ γῆ βδελυγμάτων τῶν ἔργων τῶν χειρῶν αὐτῶν καὶ προσεκύνησαν οἷς ἐποίησαν οἱ δάκτυλοι αὐτῶν (lxx) Isa 2:8 Et repleta est terra ejus equis, et innumerabiles quadrigæ ejus. Et repleta est terra ejus idolis; opus manuum suarum adoraverunt, quod fecerunt digiti eorum.(vulgate) Isa 2:8 Auch ist ihr Land voll Götzen; sie beten an ihrer Hände Werk, das ihre Finger gemacht haben.(dhs) Isa 2:8 Their land is also full of idols; They worship the work of their own hands, That which their own fingers have made.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 2:9 ============ Isa 2:9 So the common man has been humbled And the man of importance has been abased, But do not forgive them.(nasb) Isa 2:9 καὶ ἔκυψεν ἄνθρωπος καὶ ἐταπεινώθη ἀνήρ καὶ οὐ μὴ ἀνήσω αὐτούς (lxx) Isa 2:9 Et incurvavit se homo, et humiliatus est vir; ne ergo dimittas eis.(vulgate) Isa 2:9 Da bückt sich der Pöbel, da demütigen sich die Herren. Das wirst du ihnen nicht vergeben.(dhs) Isa 2:9 People bow down, And each man humbles himself; Therefore do not forgive them.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 2:10 ============ Isa 2:10 Enter the rock and hide in the dust From the terror of the Lord and from the splendor of His majesty.(nasb) Isa 2:10 καὶ νῦν εἰσέλθετε εἰς τὰς πέτρας καὶ κρύπτεσθε εἰς τὴν γῆν ἀπὸ προσώπου τοῦ φόβου κυρίου καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς δόξης τῆς ἰσχύος αὐτοῦ ὅταν ἀναστῇ θραῦσαι τὴν γῆν (lxx) Isa 2:10 Ingredere in petram, et abscondere in fossa humo a facie timoris Domini, et a gloria majestatis ejus.(vulgate) Isa 2:10 Gehe in den Felsen und verbirg dich in der Erde vor der Furcht des HERRN und vor seiner herrlichen Majestät.(dhs) Isa 2:10 Enter into the rock, and hide in the dust, From the terror of the Lord And the glory of His majesty.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 2:11 ============ Isa 2:11 The proud look of man will be abased And the loftiness of man will be humbled, And the Lord alone will be exalted in that day.(nasb) Isa 2:11 οἱ γὰρ ὀφθαλμοὶ κυρίου ὑψηλοί ὁ δὲ ἄνθρωπος ταπεινός καὶ ταπεινωθήσεται τὸ ὕψος τῶν ἀνθρώπων καὶ ὑψωθήσεται κύριος μόνος ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ (lxx) Isa 2:11 Oculi sublimes hominis humiliati sunt, et incurvabitur altitudo virorum; exaltabitur autem Dominus solus in die illa.(vulgate) Isa 2:11 Denn alle hohen Augen werden erniedrigt werden, und die hohe Männer sind, werden sich bücken müssen; der HERR aber wird allein hoch sein zu der Zeit.(dhs) Isa 2:11 The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, The haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, And the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 2:12 ============ Isa 2:12 For the Lord of hosts will have a day of reckoning Against everyone who is proud and lofty And against everyone who is lifted up, That he may be abased.(nasb) Isa 2:12 ἡμέρα γὰρ κυρίου σαβαωθ ἐπὶ πάντα ὑβριστὴν καὶ ὑπερήφανον καὶ ἐπὶ πάντα ὑψηλὸν καὶ μετέωρον καὶ ταπεινωθήσονται (lxx) Isa 2:12 Quia dies Domini exercituum super omnem superbum, et excelsum, et super omnem arrogantem, et humiliabitur;(vulgate) Isa 2:12 Denn der Tag des HERRN Zebaoth wird gehen über alles Hoffärtige und Hohe und über alles Erhabene, daß es erniedrigt werde;(dhs) Isa 2:12 For the day of the Lord of hosts Shall come upon everything proud and lofty, Upon everything lifted up-- And it shall be brought low--(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 2:13 ============ Isa 2:13 And it will be against all the cedars of Lebanon that are lofty and lifted up, Against all the oaks of Bashan,(nasb) Isa 2:13 καὶ ἐπὶ πᾶσαν κέδρον τοῦ Λιβάνου τῶν ὑψηλῶν καὶ μετεώρων καὶ ἐπὶ πᾶν δένδρον βαλάνου Βασαν (lxx) Isa 2:13 et super omnes cedros Libani sublimes et erectas, et super omnes quercus Basan,(vulgate) Isa 2:13 auch über alle hohen und erhabenen Zedern auf dem Libanon und über alle Eichen in Basan;(dhs) Isa 2:13 Upon all the cedars of Lebanon that are high and lifted up, And upon all the oaks of Bashan;(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 2:14 ============ Isa 2:14 Against all the lofty mountains, Against all the hills that are lifted up,(nasb) Isa 2:14 καὶ ἐπὶ πᾶν ὄρος καὶ ἐπὶ πάντα βουνὸν ὑψηλὸν (lxx) Isa 2:14 et super omnes montes excelsos, et super omnes colles elevatos,(vulgate) Isa 2:14 über alle hohen Berge und über alle erhabenen Hügel;(dhs) Isa 2:14 Upon all the high mountains, And upon all the hills that are lifted up;(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 2:15 ============ Isa 2:15 Against every high tower, Against every fortified wall,(nasb) Isa 2:15 καὶ ἐπὶ πάντα πύργον ὑψηλὸν καὶ ἐπὶ πᾶν τεῖχος ὑψηλὸν (lxx) Isa 2:15 et super omnem turrim excelsam, et super omnem murum munitum,(vulgate) Isa 2:15 über alle hohen Türme und über alle festen Mauern;(dhs) Isa 2:15 Upon every high tower, And upon every fortified wall;(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 2:16 ============ Isa 2:16 Against all the ships of Tarshish And against all the beautiful craft.(nasb) Isa 2:16 καὶ ἐπὶ πᾶν πλοῖον θαλάσσης καὶ ἐπὶ πᾶσαν θέαν πλοίων κάλλους (lxx) Isa 2:16 et super omnes naves Tharsis, et super omne quod visu pulchrum est,(vulgate) Isa 2:16 über alle Schiffe im Meer und über alle köstliche Arbeit:(dhs) Isa 2:16 Upon all the ships of Tarshish, And upon all the beautiful sloops.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 2:17 ============ Isa 2:17 The pride of man will be humbled And the loftiness of men will be abased; The Lord alone will be exalted in that day,(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 2:18 ============ Isa 2:18 But the idols will completely vanish.(nasb) Isa 2:18 καὶ τὰ χειροποίητα πάντα κατακρύψουσιν (lxx) Isa 2:18 et idola penitus conterentur;(vulgate) Isa 2:18 Und mit den Götzen wird's ganz aus sein.(dhs) Isa 2:18 But the idols He shall utterly abolish.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 2:19 ============ Isa 2:19 Men will go into caves of the rocks And into holes of the ground Before the terror of the Lord And the splendor of His majesty, When He arises to make the earth tremble.(nasb) Isa 2:19 εἰσενέγκαντες εἰς τὰ σπήλαια καὶ εἰς τὰς σχισμὰς τῶν πετρῶν καὶ εἰς τὰς τρώγλας τῆς γῆς ἀπὸ προσώπου τοῦ φόβου κυρίου καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς δόξης τῆς ἰσχύος αὐτοῦ ὅταν ἀναστῇ θραῦσαι τὴν γῆν (lxx) Isa 2:19 et introibunt in speluncas petrarum, et in voragines terræ, a facie formidinis Domini et a gloria majestatis ejus, cum surrexerit percutere terram.(vulgate) Isa 2:19 Da wird man in der Felsen Höhlen gehen und in der Erde Klüfte vor der Furcht des HERRN und vor seiner herrlichen Majestät, wenn er sich aufmachen wird, zu schrecken die Erde.(dhs) Isa 2:19 They shall go into the holes of the rocks, And into the caves of the earth, From the terror of the Lord And the glory of His majesty, When He arises to shake the earth mightily.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 2:20 ============ Isa 2:20 In that day men will cast away to the moles and the bats Their idols of silver and their idols of gold, Which they made for themselves to worship,(nasb) Isa 2:20 τῇ γὰρ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ ἐκβαλεῖ ἄνθρωπος τὰ βδελύγματα αὐτοῦ τὰ ἀργυρᾶ καὶ τὰ χρυσᾶ ἃ ἐποίησαν προσκυνεῖν τοῖς ματαίοις καὶ ταῖς νυκτερίσιν (lxx) Isa 2:20 In die illa projiciet homo idola argenti sui, et simulacra auri sui, quæ fecerat sibi ut adoraret, talpas et vespertiliones.(vulgate) Isa 2:20 Zu der Zeit wird jedermann wegwerfen seine silbernen und goldenen Götzen, die er sich hat machen lassen, anzubeten, in die Löcher der Maulwürfe und der Fledermäuse,(dhs) Isa 2:20 In that day a man will cast away his idols of silver And his idols of gold, Which they made, each for himself to worship, To the moles and bats,(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 2:21 ============ Isa 2:21 In order to go into the caverns of the rocks and the clefts of the cliffs Before the terror of the Lord and the splendor of His majesty, When He arises to make the earth tremble.(nasb) Isa 2:21 τοῦ εἰσελθεῖν εἰς τὰς τρώγλας τῆς στερεᾶς πέτρας καὶ εἰς τὰς σχισμὰς τῶν πετρῶν ἀπὸ προσώπου τοῦ φόβου κυρίου καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς δόξης τῆς ἰσχύος αὐτοῦ ὅταν ἀναστῇ θραῦσαι τὴν γῆν (lxx) Isa 2:21 Et ingreditur scissuras petrarum et in cavernas saxorum, a facie formidinis Domini, et a gloria majestatis ejus, cum surrexerit percutere terram.(vulgate) Isa 2:21 auf daß er möge in die Steinritzen und Felsklüfte kriechen vor der Furcht des HERRN und vor seiner herrlichen Majestät, wenn er sich aufmachen wird, zu schrecken die Erde.(dhs) Isa 2:21 To go into the clefts of the rocks, And into the crags of the rugged rocks, From the terror of the Lord And the glory of His majesty, When He arises to shake the earth mightily.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 2:22 ============ Isa 2:22 Stop regarding man, whose breath of life is in his nostrils;
