Et avec eux étaient les prophètes de Dieu, qui les assistaient.(F) Ezr 5:2 Da machten sich auf Serubabel, der Sohn Sealthiels, und Jesua, der Sohn Jozadaks, und fingen an zu bauen das Haus Gottes zu Jerusalem, und mit ihnen die Propheten Gottes, die sie stärkten.(D) Ezr 5:2 τότε ἀνέστησαν Ζοροβαβελ ὁ τοῦ Σαλαθιηλ καὶ Ἰησοῦς ὁ υἱὸς Ιωσεδεκ καὶ ἤρξαντο οἰκοδομῆσαι τὸν οἶκον τοῦ θεοῦ τὸν ἐν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ μετ᾽ αὐτῶν οἱ προφῆται τοῦ θεοῦ βοηθοῦντες αὐτοῖς(lxx) Ezr 5:2 So Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and Jeshua the son of Jozadak rose up and began to build the house of God which is in Jerusalem; and the prophets of God were with them, helping them.(nkjv) ======= Ezra 5:3 ============ Ezr 5:3 At that time Tattenai, the governor of the province beyond the River, and Shethar-bozenai and their colleagues came to them and spoke to them thus, "Who issued you a decree to rebuild this temple and to finish this structure?"(nasb) Ezr 5:3 In ipso autem tempore venit ad eos Thathanai, qui erat dux trans flumen, et Stharbuzanai, et consiliarii eorum: sicque dixerunt eis: Quis dedit vobis consilium ut domum hanc ædificaretis, et muros ejus instauraretis?(vulgate) Esdras 5:3 En aquel tiempo vino a ellos Tatnai, governador al otro lado del río, y Setar-boznai y sus compañeros, y les dijeron así: ¿Quién os dio mandamiento para edificar esta casa, y restablecer estos muros?(E) Esdras 5:3 Dans ce même temps, Thathnaï, gouverneur de ce côté du fleuve, Schethar-Boznaï, et leurs collègues, vinrent auprès d'eux et leur parlèrent ainsi: Qui vous a donné l'autorisation de bâtir cette maison et de relever ces murs?(F) Ezr 5:3 Zu der Zeit kam Thathnai, der Landpfleger diesseits des Wassers, und Sethar-Bosnai und ihr Rat und sprachen also zu ihnen: Wer hat euch befohlen, dies Haus zu bauen und seine Mauern zu machen?(D) Ezr 5:3 ἐν αὐτῷ τῷ καιρῷ ἦλθεν ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς Θανθαναι ἔπαρχος πέραν τοῦ ποταμοῦ καὶ Σαθαρβουζανα καὶ οἱ σύνδουλοι αὐτῶν καὶ τοῖα εἶπαν αὐτοῖς τίς ἔθηκεν ὑμῖν γνώμην τοῦ οἰκοδομῆσαι τὸν οἶκον τοῦτον καὶ τὴν χορηγίαν ταύτην καταρτίσασθαι(lxx) Ezr 5:3 At the same time Tattenai the governor of the region beyond the River and Shethar-Boznai and their companions came to them and spoke thus to them: "Who has commanded you to build this temple and finish this wall?"(nkjv) ======= Ezra 5:4 ============ Ezr 5:4 Then we told them accordingly what the names of the men were who were reconstructing this building.(nasb) Ezr 5:4 Ad quod respondimus eis, quæ essent nomina hominum auctorum ædificationis illius.(vulgate) Esdras 5:4 Entonces les dijeron así: ¿Cuáles son los nombres de los varones que edifican este edificio?(E) Esdras 5:4 Ils leur dirent encore: Quels sont les noms des hommes qui construisent cet édifice?(F) Ezr 5:4 Da sagten wir ihnen, wie die Männer hießen, die diesen Bau taten.(D) Ezr 5:4 τότε ταῦτα εἴποσαν αὐτοῖς τίνα ἐστὶν τὰ ὀνόματα τῶν ἀνδρῶν τῶν οἰκοδομούντων τὴν πόλιν ταύτην(lxx) Ezr 5:4 Then, accordingly, we told them the names of the men who were constructing this building.(nkjv) ======= Ezra 5:5 ============ Ezr 5:5 But the eye of their God was on the elders of the Jews, and they did not stop them until a report could come to Darius, and then a written reply be returned concerning it.(nasb) Ezr 5:5 Oculus autem Dei eorum factus est super senes Judæorum, et non potuerunt inhibere eos. Et on laissa continuer les travaux pendant l'envoi d'un rapport à Darius et jusqu'à la réception d'une lettre sur cet objet.(F) Ezr 5:5 Aber das Auge ihres Gottes war über den Ältesten der Juden, daß ihnen nicht gewehrt ward, bis daß man die Sache an Darius gelangen ließ und darüber eine Schrift wiederkäme.(D) Ezr 5:5 καὶ οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ τοῦ θεοῦ ἐπὶ τὴν αἰχμαλωσίαν Ιουδα καὶ οὐ κατήργησαν αὐτούς ἕως γνώμη τῷ Δαρείῳ ἀπηνέχθη καὶ τότε ἀπεστάλη τῷ φορολόγῳ ὑπὲρ τούτου(lxx) Ezr 5:5 But the eye of their God was upon the elders of the Jews, so that they could not make them cease till a report could go to Darius. Then a written answer was returned concerning this matter.(nkjv) ======= Ezra 5:6 ============ Ezr 5:6 This is the copy of the letter which Tattenai, the governor of the province beyond the River, and Shethar-bozenai and his colleagues the officials, who were beyond the River, sent to Darius the king.(nasb) Ezr 5:6 Exemplar epistolæ, quam misit Thathanai dux regionis trans flumen, et Stharbuzanai, et consiliatores ejus Arphasachæi, qui erant trans flumen, ad Darium regem.(vulgate) Esdras 5:6 Copia de la carta que Tatnai, gobernador de más allá del río, y Setar-boznai, y sus compañeros los aparsaqueos, que [estaban] al otro lado del río, enviaron al rey Darío.(E) Esdras 5:6 Copie de la lettre envoyée au roi Darius par Thathnaï, gouverneur de ce côté du fleuve. Schethar-Boznaï, et leurs collègues d'Apharsac, demeurant de ce côté du fleuve.(F) Ezr 5:6 Dies ist aber der Inhalt des Briefes Thathnais, des Landpflegers diesseits des Wassers, und Sethar-Bosnais und ihres Rats, derer von Apharsach, die diesseits des Wassers waren, an den König Darius.(D) Ezr 5:6 διασάφησις ἐπιστολῆς ἧς ἀπέστειλεν Θανθαναι ὁ ἔπαρχος τοῦ πέραν τοῦ ποταμοῦ καὶ Σαθαρβουζανα καὶ οἱ σύνδουλοι αὐτῶν Αφαρσαχαῖοι οἱ ἐν τῷ πέραν τοῦ ποταμοῦ Δαρείῳ τῷ βασιλεῖ(lxx) Ezr 5:6 This is a copy of the letter that Tattenai sent: The governor of the region beyond the River, and Shethar-Boznai, and his companions, the Persians who were in the region beyond the River, to Darius the king.(nkjv) ======= Ezra 5:7 ============ Ezr 5:7 They sent a report to him in which it was written thus: "To Darius the king, all peace.(nasb) Ezr 5:7 Sermo, quem miserant ei, sic scriptus erat: Dario regi pax omnis.(vulgate) Esdras 5:7 Le enviaron una carta, en la que estaba escrito de esta manera: Al rey Darío toda paz.(E) Esdras 5:7 Ils lui adressèrent un rapport ainsi conçu: Au roi Darius, salut!(F) Ezr 5:7 Und die Worte die sie zu ihm sandten, lauteten also: Dem König Darius allen Frieden!(D) Ezr 5:7 ῥῆσιν ἀπέστειλαν πρὸς αὐτόν καὶ τάδε γέγραπται ἐν αὐτῷ Δαρείῳ τῷ βασιλεῖ εἰρήνη πᾶσα(lxx) Ezr 5:7 (They sent a letter to him, in which was written thus) To Darius the king: All peace.(nkjv) ======= Ezra 5:8 ============ Ezr 5:8 Let it be known to the king that we have gone to the province of Judah, to the house of the great God, which is being built with huge stones, and beams are being laid in the walls; and this work is going on with great care and is succeeding in their hands.(nasb) Ezr 5:8 Notum sit regi, isse nos ad Judæam provinciam, ad domum Dei magni, quæ ædificatur lapide impolito, et ligna ponuntur in parietibus: opusque illud diligenter exstruitur, et crescit in manibus eorum.(vulgate) Esdras 5:8 Sea notorio al rey, que fuimos a la provincia de Judea, a la casa del gran Dios, la cual se edifica de piedras grandes; y los maderos son puestos en las paredes, y la obra se hace aprisa, y prospera en sus manos.(E) Esdras 5:8 Que le roi sache que nous sommes allés dans la province de Juda, à la maison du grand Dieu. Elle se construit en pierres de taille, et le bois se pose dans les murs; le travail marche rapidement et réussit entre leurs mains.(F) Ezr 5:8 Es sei kund dem König, daß wir ins jüdische Land gekommen sind zu dem Hause des großen Gottes, welches man baut mit behauenen Steinen, und Balken legt man in die Wände, und das Werk geht frisch vonstatten unter ihrer Hand.(D) Ezr 5:8 γνωστὸν ἔστω τῷ βασιλεῖ ὅτι ἐπορεύθημεν εἰς τὴν Ιουδαίαν χώραν εἰς οἶκον τοῦ θεοῦ τοῦ μεγάλου καὶ αὐτὸς οἰκοδομεῖται λίθοις ἐκλεκτοῖς καὶ ξύλα ἐντίθεται ἐν τοῖς τοίχοις καὶ τὸ ἔργον ἐκεῖνο ἐπιδέξιον γίνεται καὶ εὐοδοῦται ἐν ταῖς χερσὶν αὐτῶν(lxx) Ezr 5:8 Let it be known to the king that we went into the province of Judea, to the temple of the great God, which is being built with heavy stones, and timber is being laid in the walls; and this work goes on diligently and prospers in their hands.(nkjv) ======= Ezra 5:9 ============ Ezr 5:9 Then we asked those elders and said to them thus, 'Who issued you a decree to rebuild this temple and to finish this structure?'(nasb) Ezr 5:9 Interrogavimus ergo senes illos, et ita diximus eis: Quis dedit vobis potestatem ut domum hanc ædificaretis, et muros hos instauraretis?(vulgate) Esdras 5:9 Entonces preguntamos a los ancianos, diciéndoles así: ¿Quién os dio mandamiento para edificar esta casa, y para restablecer estos muros?(E) Esdras 5:9 Nous avons interrogé les anciens, et nous leur avons ainsi parlé: Qui vous a donné l'autorisation de bâtir cette maison et de relever ces murs?(F) Ezr 5:9 Wir aber haben die Ältesten gefragt und zu ihnen gesagt also: Wer hat euch befohlen, dies Haus zu bauen und seine Mauern zu machen?(D) Ezr 5:9 τότε ἠρωτήσαμεν τοὺς πρεσβυτέρους ἐκείνους καὶ οὕτως εἴπαμεν αὐτοῖς τίς ἔθηκεν ὑμῖν γνώμην τὸν οἶκον τοῦτον οἰκοδομῆσαι καὶ τὴν χορηγίαν ταύτην καταρτίσασθαι(lxx) Ezr 5:9 Then we asked those elders, and spoke thus to them: "Who commanded you to build this temple and to finish these walls?"(nkjv) ======= Ezra 5:10 ============ Ezr 5:10 We also asked them their names so as to inform you, and that we might write down the names of the men who were at their head.(nasb) Ezr 5:10 Sed et nomina eorum quæsivimus ab eis, ut nuntiaremus tibi: scripsimusque nomina eorum virorum, qui sunt principes in eis.(vulgate) Esdras 5:10 Y también les preguntamos sus nombres para hacértelo saber, para escribirte los nombres de los varones que [eran] los jefes de ellos.(E) Esdras 5:10 Nous leur avons aussi demandé leurs noms pour te les faire connaître, et nous avons mis par écrit les noms des hommes qui sont à leur tête.(F) Ezr 5:10 Auch fragten wir, wie sie hießen, auf daß wir sie dir kundtäten und die Namen der Männer aufschrieben, die ihre Obersten waren.(D) Ezr 5:10 καὶ τὰ ὀνόματα αὐτῶν ἠρωτήσαμεν αὐτοὺς γνωρίσαι σοι ὥστε γράψαι σοι τὰ ὀνόματα τῶν ἀνδρῶν τῶν ἀρχόντων αὐτῶν(lxx) Ezr 5:10 We also asked them their names to inform you, that we might write the names of the men who were chief among them.(nkjv) ======= Ezra 5:11 ============ Ezr 5:11 Thus they answered us, saying, 'We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth and are rebuilding the temple that was built many years ago, which a great king of Israel built and finished.(nasb) Ezr 5:11 Hujuscemodi autem sermonem responderunt nobis dicentes: Nos sumus servi Dei cæli et terræ, et ædificamus templum, quod erat exstructum ante hos annos multos, quodque rex Israël magnus ædificaverat, et exstruxerat.(vulgate) Esdras 5:11 Y nos respondieron, diciendo así: Nosotros somos siervos del Dios del cielo y de la tierra, y reedificamos la casa que ya muchos años antes había sido edificada, la cual edificó y terminó el gran rey de Israel.(E) Esdras 5:11 Voici la réponse qu'ils nous ont faite: Nous sommes les serviteurs du Dieu des cieux et de la terre, et nous rebâtissons la maison qui avait été construite il y a bien des années; un grand roi d'Israël l'avait bâtie et achevée.(F) Ezr 5:11 Sie aber gaben uns solche Worte zur Antwort und sprachen: Wir sind Knechte des Gottes im Himmel und der Erde und bauen das Haus, das vormals vor vielen Jahren gebaut war, das ein großer König Israels gebaut hat und aufgerichtet.(D) Ezr 5:11 καὶ τοιοῦτο ῥῆμα ἀπεκρίθησαν ἡμῖν λέγοντες ἡμεῖς ἐσμεν δοῦλοι τοῦ θεοῦ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ τῆς γῆς καὶ οἰκοδομοῦμεν τὸν οἶκον ὃς ἦν ᾠκοδομημένος πρὸ τούτου ἔτη πολλά καὶ βασιλεὺς τοῦ Ισραηλ μέγας ᾠκοδόμησεν αὐτὸν καὶ κατηρτίσατο αὐτὸν(lxx) Ezr 5:11 And thus they returned us an answer, saying: "We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and we are rebuilding the temple that was built many years ago, which a great king of Israel built and completed.(nkjv) ======= Ezra 5:12 ============ Ezr 5:12 But because our fathers had provoked the God of heaven to wrath, He gave them into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, the Chaldean, who destroyed this temple and deported the people to Babylon.(nasb) Ezr 5:12 Postquam autem ad iracundiam provocaverunt patres nostri Deum cæli, tradidit eos in manus Nabuchodonosor regis Babylonis Chaldæi, domum quoque hanc destruxit, et populum ejus transtulit in Babylonem.(vulgate) Esdras 5:12 Mas después que nuestros padres provocaron a ira al Dios de los cielos, Él los entregó en mano de Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia, caldeo, el cual destruyó esta casa, e hizo trasportar al pueblo a Babilonia.(E) Esdras 5:12 Mais après que nos pères eurent irrité le Dieu des cieux, il les livra entre les mains de Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, le Chaldéen, qui détruisit cette maison et emmena le peuple captif à Babylone.(F) Ezr 5:12 Da aber unsre Väter den Gott des Himmels erzürnten, gab er sie in die Hand Nebukadnezars, des Königs zu Babel, des Chaldäers; der zerbrach dies Haus und führte das Volk weg gen Babel.(D) Ezr 5:12 αὐτοῖς ἀφ᾽ ὅτε δὲ παρώργισαν οἱ πατέρες ἡμῶν τὸν θεὸν τοῦ οὐρανοῦ ἔδωκεν αὐτοὺς εἰς χεῖρας Ναβουχοδονοσορ βασιλέως Βαβυλῶνος τοῦ Χαλδαίου καὶ τὸν οἶκον τοῦτον κατέλυσεν καὶ τὸν λαὸν ἀπῴκισεν εἰς Βαβυλῶνα(lxx) Ezr 5:12 But because our fathers provoked the God of heaven to wrath, He gave them into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, the Chaldean, who destroyed this temple and carried the people away to Babylon.(nkjv) ======= Ezra 5:13 ============ Ezr 5:13 However, in the first year of Cyrus king of Babylon, King Cyrus issued a decree to rebuild this house of God.(nasb) Ezr 5:13 Anno autem primo Cyri regis Babylonis, Cyrus rex proposuit edictum ut domus Dei hæc ædificaretur.(vulgate) Esdras 5:13 Pero en el año primero de Ciro rey de Babilonia, el [mismo] rey Ciro dio mandamiento para que esta casa de Dios fuese reedificada.(E) Esdras 5:13 Toutefois, la première année de Cyrus, roi de Babylone, le roi Cyrus donna l'ordre de rebâtir cette maison de Dieu.(F) Ezr 5:13 Aber im ersten Jahr des Kores, des Königs zu Babel, befahl derselbe König Kores, dies Haus Gottes zu bauen.(D) Ezr 5:13 ἀλλ᾽ ἐν ἔτει πρώτῳ Κύρου τοῦ βασιλέως Κῦρος ὁ βασιλεὺς ἔθετο γνώμην τὸν οἶκον τοῦ θεοῦ τοῦτον οἰκοδομηθῆναι(lxx) Ezr 5:13 However, in the first year of Cyrus king of Babylon, King Cyrus issued a decree to build this house of God.(nkjv) ======= Ezra 5:14 ============ Ezr 5:14 Also the gold and silver utensils of the house of God which Nebuchadnezzar had taken from the temple in Jerusalem, and brought them to the temple of Babylon, these King Cyrus took from the temple of Babylon and they were given to one whose name was Sheshbazzar, whom he had appointed governor.(nasb) Ezr 5:14 Nam et vasa templi Dei aurea et argentea, quæ Nabuchodonosor tulerat de templo, quod erat in Jerusalem, et asportaverat ea in templum Babylonis, protulit Cyrus rex de templo Babylonis, et data sunt Sassabasar vocabulo, quem et principem constituit,(vulgate) Esdras 5:14 Y también los vasos de oro y de plata de la casa de Dios, que Nabucodonosor había sacado del templo que estaba en Jerusalén, y los había metido en el templo de Babilonia, el rey Ciro los sacó del templo de Babilonia, y fueron entregados a Sesbasar, al cual había puesto por gobernador;(E) Esdras 5:14 Et même le roi Cyrus ôta du temple de Babylone les ustensiles d'or et d'argent de la maison de Dieu, que Nebucadnetsar avait enlevés du temple de Jérusalem et transportés dans le temple de Babylone, il les fit remettre au nommé Scheschbatsar, qu'il établit gouverneur,(F) Ezr 5:14 Denn auch die goldenen und silbernen Gefäße im Hause Gottes, die Nebukadnezar aus dem Tempel zu Jerusalem nahm und brachte sie in den Tempel zu Babel, nahm der König Kores aus dem Tempel zu Babel und gab sie Sesbazar mit Namen, den er zum Landpfleger setzte,(D) Ezr 5:14 καὶ τὰ σκεύη τοῦ οἴκου τοῦ θεοῦ τὰ χρυσᾶ καὶ τὰ ἀργυρᾶ ἃ Ναβουχοδονοσορ ἐξήνεγκεν ἀπὸ οἴκου τοῦ ἐν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ἀπήνεγκεν αὐτὰ εἰς ναὸν τοῦ βασιλέως ἐξήνεγκεν αὐτὰ Κῦρος ὁ βασιλεὺς ἀπὸ ναοῦ τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ ἔδωκεν τῷ Σασαβασαρ τῷ θησαυροφύλακι τῷ ἐπὶ τοῦ θησαυροῦ(lxx) Ezr 5:14 Also, the gold and silver articles of the house of God, which Nebuchadnezzar had taken from the temple that was in Jerusalem and carried into the temple of Babylon--those King Cyrus took from the temple of Babylon, and they were given to one named Sheshbazzar, whom he had made governor.(nkjv) ======= Ezra 5:15 ============ Ezr 5:15 He said to him, "Take these utensils, go and deposit them in the temple in Jerusalem and let the house of God be rebuilt in its place."(nasb) Ezr 5:15 dixitque ei: Hæc vasa tolle, et vade, et pone ea in templo, quod est in Jerusalem, et domus Dei ædificetur in loco suo.(vulgate) Esdras 5:15 y le dijo: Toma estos vasos, ve, y ponlos en el templo que [está] en Jerusalén; go, carry them to the temple site that is in Jerusalem, and let the house of God be rebuilt on its former site.'(nkjv) ======= Ezra 5:16 ============ Ezr 5:16 Then that Sheshbazzar came and laid the foundations of the house of God in Jerusalem; and from then until now it has been under construction and it is not yet completed.'(nasb) Ezr 5:16 Tunc itaque Sassabasar ille venit et posuit fundamenta templi Dei in Jerusalem, et ex eo tempore usque nunc ædificatur, et necdum completum est.(vulgate) Esdras 5:16 Entonces este Sesbasar vino, y puso los fundamentos de la casa de Dios que estaba en Jerusalén, y desde entonces hasta ahora se edifica, y aún no está terminada.(E) Esdras 5:16 Ce Scheschbatsar est donc venu, et il a posé les fondements de la maison de Dieu à Jérusalem; depuis lors jusqu'à présent elle se construit, et elle n'est pas achevée.(F) Ezr 5:16 Da kam derselbe Sesbazar und legte den Grund am Hause Gottes zu Jerusalem. Seit der Zeit baut man, und es ist noch nicht vollendet.(D) Ezr 5:16 τότε Σασαβασαρ ἐκεῖνος ἦλθεν καὶ ἔδωκεν θεμελίους τοῦ οἴκου τοῦ θεοῦ τοῦ ἐν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ἀπὸ τότε ἕως τοῦ νῦν ᾠκοδομήθη καὶ οὐκ ἐτελέσθη(lxx) Ezr 5:16 Then the same Sheshbazzar came and laid the foundation of the house of God which is in Jerusalem; but from that time even until now it has been under construction, and it is not finished."(nkjv) ======= Ezra 5:17 ============ Ezr 5:17 "Now if it pleases the king, let a search be conducted in the king's treasure house, which is there in Babylon, if it be that a decree was issued by King Cyrus to rebuild this house of God at Jerusalem; and let the king send to us his decision concerning this matter."(nasb) Ezr 5:17 Nunc ergo si videtur regi bonum, recenseat in bibliotheca regis, quæ est in Babylone, utrumnam a Cyro rege jussum fuerit ut ædificaretur domus Dei in Jerusalem, et voluntatem regis super hac re mittat ad nos.(vulgate) Esdras 5:17 Y ahora, si al rey parece bien, búsquese en la casa de los tesoros del rey que está allí en Babilonia, si es así que por el rey Ciro había sido dado mandamiento para reedificar esta casa de Dios en Jerusalén, y envíenos a decir la voluntad del rey sobre esto.(E) Esdras 5:17 Maintenant, si le roi le trouve bon, que l'on fasse des recherches dans la maison des trésors du roi à Babylone, pour voir s'il y a eu de la part du roi Cyrus un ordre donné pour la construction de cette maison de Dieu à Jérusalem. Puis, que le roi nous transmette sa volonté sur cet objet.(F) Ezr 5:17 Gefällt es nun dem König, so lasse er suchen in dem Schatzhause des Königs, das zu Babel ist, ob's von dem König Kores befohlen sei, das Haus Gottes zu Jerusalem zu bauen, und sende zu uns des Königs Meinung darüber.(D) Ezr 5:17 καὶ νῦν εἰ ἐπὶ τὸν βασιλέα ἀγαθόν ἐπισκεπήτω ἐν οἴκῳ τῆς γάζης τοῦ βασιλέως Βαβυλῶνος ὅπως γνῷς ὅτι ἀπὸ βασιλέως Κύρου ἐτέθη γνώμη οἰκοδομῆσαι τὸν οἶκον τοῦ θεοῦ ἐκεῖνον τὸν ἐν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ γνοὺς ὁ βασιλεὺς περὶ τούτου πεμψάτω πρὸς ἡμᾶς(lxx) Ezr 5:17 Now therefore, if it seems good to the king, let a search be made in the king's treasure house, which is there in Babylon, whether it is so that a decree was issued by King Cyrus to build this house of God at Jerusalem, and let the king send us his pleasure concerning this matter.(nkjv) ======= Ezra 6:1 ============ top of the page
