Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 127:2 ============ Psa 127:2 It is vain for you to rise up early, To retire late, To eat the bread of painful labors; For He gives to His beloved even in his sleep.(nasb) Psa 127:2 [vulgate 126:2] frustra vobis est de mane consurgere postquam sederitis qui manducatis panem idolorum sic dabit diligentibus se somnum(vulgate) Salmos 127:2 Por demás es que os levantéis de madrugada, y vayáis tarde a reposar, y que comáis pan de dolores; pues que a su amado dará Dios el sueño.(E) Psaume 127:2 En vain vous levez-vous matin, vous couchez-vous tard, Et mangez-vous le pain de douleur; Il en donne autant à ses bien-aimés pendant leur sommeil.(F) Psa 127:2 Es ist umsonst, daß ihr früh aufstehet und hernach lange sitzet und esset euer Brot mit Sorgen; denn seinen Freunden gibt er's schlafend.(D) Psa 127:2 εἰς μάτην ὑμῖν ἐστιν τοῦ ὀρθρίζειν ἐγείρεσθαι μετὰ τὸ καθῆσθαι οἱ ἔσθοντες ἄρτον ὀδύνης ὅταν δῷ τοῖς ἀγαπητοῖς αὐτοῦ ὕπνον(lxx) Psa 127:2 It is vain for you to rise up early, To sit up late, To eat the bread of sorrows; For so He gives His beloved sleep.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 127:3 ============ Psa 127:3 Behold, children are a gift of the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward.(nasb) Psa 127:3 [vulgate 126:3] ecce hereditas Domini filii mercis fructus ventris(vulgate) Salmos 127:3 He aquí, herencia de Jehová son los hijos; cosa de estima el fruto del vientre.(E) Psaume 127:3 Voici, des fils sont un héritage de l'Eternel, Le fruit des entrailles est une récompense.(F) Psa 127:3 Siehe, Kinder sind eine Gabe des HERRN, und Leibesfrucht ist ein Geschenk.(D) Psa 127:3 ἰδοὺ ἡ κληρονομία κυρίου υἱοί ὁ μισθὸς τοῦ καρποῦ τῆς γαστρός(lxx) Psa 127:3 Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 127:4 ============ Psa 127:4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one's youth.(nasb) Psa 127:4 [vulgate 126:4] sicut sagittae in manu potentis ita filii iuventutis(vulgate) Salmos 127:4 Como saetas en mano del valiente, así [son] los hijos habidos en la juventud.(E) Psaume 127:4 Comme les flèches dans la main d'un guerrier, Ainsi sont les fils de la jeunesse.(F) Psa 127:4 Wie die Pfeile in der Hand des Starken, also geraten die jungen Knaben.(D) Psa 127:4 ὡσεὶ βέλη ἐν χειρὶ δυνατοῦ οὕτως οἱ υἱοὶ τῶν ἐκτετιναγμένων(lxx) Psa 127:4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one's youth.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 127:5 ============ Psa 127:5 How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them; They will not be ashamed When they speak with their enemies in the gate.(nasb) Psa 127:5 [vulgate 126:5] beatus vir qui implevit faretram suam ex ipsis non confundentur cum loquentur inimicis in porta(vulgate) Salmos 127:5 Bienaventurado el hombre que llenó su aljaba de ellos; no será avergonzado cuando hablare con los enemigos en la puerta.(E) Psaume 127:5 Heureux l'homme qui en a rempli son carquois! Ils ne seront pas confus, Quand ils parleront avec des ennemis à la porte.(F) Psa 127:5 Wohl dem, der seinen Köcher derselben voll hat!
