Today's Date: ======= Isaiah 16:1 ============ Isa 16:1 Send the tribute lamb to the ruler of the land, From Sela by way of the wilderness to the mountain of the daughter of Zion.(nasb) Isa 16:1 [Emitte agnum, Domine, dominatorem terræ, de petra deserti ad montem filiæ Sion.(vulgate) Isaías 16:1 Enviad cordero al gobernador de la tierra, desde Sela del desierto hasta el monte de la hija de Sión.(E) Ésaïe 16:1 Envoyez les agneaux au souverain du pays, Envoyez-les de Séla, par le désert, A la montagne de la fille de Sion.(F) Isa 16:1 Schickt dem Landesherrn Lämmer von Sela aus der Wüste zum Berge der Tochter Zion!(D) Isa 16:1 ἀποστελῶ ὡς ἑρπετὰ ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν μὴ πέτρα ἔρημός ἐστιν τὸ ὄρος Σιων(lxx) Isa 16:1 Send the lamb to the ruler of the land, From Sela to the wilderness, To the mount of the daughter of Zion.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 16:2 ============ Isa 16:2 Then, like fleeing birds or scattered nestlings, The daughters of Moab will be at the fords of the Arnon.(nasb) Isa 16:2 Et erit: sicut avis fugiens, et pulli de nido avolantes, sic erunt filiæ Moab in transcensu Arnon.(vulgate) Isaías 16:2 Y será que cual ave espantada que huye de su nido, [así] serán las hijas de Moab en los vados de Arnón.(E) Ésaïe 16:2 Tel un oiseau fugitif, telle une nichée effarouchée, Telles seront les filles de Moab, au passage de l'Arnon. -(F) Isa 16:2 Aber wie ein Vogel dahinfliegt, der aus dem Nest getrieben wird, so werden sein die Töchter Moabs in den Furten des Arnon.(D) Isa 16:2 ἔσῃ γὰρ ὡς πετεινοῦ ἀνιπταμένου νεοσσὸς ἀφῃρημένος θύγατερ Μωαβ ἔπειτα δέ Αρνων(lxx) Isa 16:2 For it shall be as a wandering bird thrown out of the nest; So shall be the daughters of Moab at the fords of the Arnon.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 16:3 ============ Isa 16:3 "Give us advice, make a decision; Cast your shadow like night at high noon; Hide the outcasts, do not betray the fugitive.(nasb) Isa 16:3 Ini consilium, coge concilium; pone quasi noctem umbram tuam in meridie; absconde fugientes, et vagos ne prodas.(vulgate) Isaías 16:3 Reúne consejo, haz juicio; pon tu sombra en medio del día como la noche; esconde a los desterrados, no entregues a los que andan errantes.(E) Ésaïe 16:3 Donne conseil, fais justice, Couvre-nous en plein midi de ton ombre comme de la nuit, Cache ceux que l'on poursuit, Ne trahis pas le fugitif!(F) Isa 16:3 "Sammelt Rat, haltet Gericht, mache deinen Schatten des Mittags wie die Nacht; verbirg die Verjagten, und melde die Flüchtlinge nicht!(D) Isa 16:3 πλείονα βουλεύου ποιεῖτε σκέπην πένθους αὐτῇ διὰ παντός ἐν μεσημβρινῇ σκοτίᾳ φεύγουσιν ἐξέστησαν μὴ ἀπαχθῇς(lxx) Isa 16:3 "Take counsel, execute judgment; Make your shadow like the night in the middle of the day; Hide the outcasts, Do not betray him who escapes.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 16:4 ============ Isa 16:4 "Let the outcasts of Moab stay with you; Be a hiding place to them from the destroyer." For the extortioner has come to an end, destruction has ceased, Oppressors have completely disappeared from the land.(nasb) Isa 16:4 Habitabunt apud te profugi mei; Moab, esto latibulum eorum a facie vastatoris: finitus est enim pulvis, consummatus est miser, defecit qui conculcabat terram.(vulgate) Isaías 16:4 Moren contigo mis desterrados, oh Moab; sé para ellos escondedero de la presencia del destructor: porque el atormentador fenecerá, el destructor tendrá fin, el opresor será consumido de sobre la tierra.(E) Ésaïe 16:4 Laisse séjourner chez toi les exilés de Moab, Sois pour eux un refuge contre le dévastateur! Car l'oppression cessera, la dévastation finira, Celui qui foule le pays disparaîtra.(F) Isa 16:4 Laß meine Verjagten bei dir herbergen; sei du für Moab ein Schirm vor dem Verstörer, so wird der Dränger ein Ende haben, der Verstörer aufhören und der Untertreter ablassen im Lande."(D) Isa 16:4 παροικήσουσίν σοι οἱ φυγάδες Μωαβ ἔσονται σκέπη ὑμῖν ἀπὸ προσώπου διώκοντος ὅτι ἤρθη ἡ συμμαχία σου καὶ ὁ ἄρχων ἀπώλετο ὁ καταπατῶν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς(lxx) Isa 16:4 Let My outcasts dwell with you, O Moab; Be a shelter to them from the face of the spoiler. For the extortioner is at an end, Devastation ceases, The oppressors are consumed out of the land.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 16:5 ============ Isa 16:5 A throne will even be established in lovingkindness, And a judge will sit on it in faithfulness in the tent of David; Moreover, he will seek justice And be prompt in righteousness.(nasb) Isa 16:5 Et præparabitur in misericordia solium, et sedebit super illud in veritate in tabernaculo David, judicans et quærens judicium, et velociter reddens quod justum est.(vulgate) Isaías 16:5 Y en misericordia será establecido el trono; y sobre él se sentará firmemente, en el tabernáculo de David, quien juzgue y busque el juicio, y apresure la justicia.(E) Ésaïe 16:5 Et le trône s'affermira par la clémence; Et l'on y verra siéger fidèlement, dans la maison de David, Un juge ami du droit et zélé pour la justice. -(F) Isa 16:5 Es wird aber ein Stuhl bereitet werden aus Gnaden, daß einer darauf sitze in der Wahrheit, in der Hütte Davids, und richte und trachte nach Recht und fördere Gerechtigkeit.(D) Isa 16:5 καὶ διορθωθήσεται μετ᾽ ἐλέους θρόνος καὶ καθίεται ἐπ᾽ αὐτοῦ μετὰ ἀληθείας ἐν σκηνῇ Δαυιδ κρίνων καὶ ἐκζητῶν κρίμα καὶ σπεύδων δικαιοσύνην(lxx) Isa 16:5 In mercy the throne will be established; And One will sit on it in truth, in the tabernacle of David, Judging and seeking justice and hastening righteousness."(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 16:6 ============ Isa 16:6 We have heard of the pride of Moab, an excessive pride; Even of his arrogance, pride, and fury; His idle boasts are false.(nasb) Isa 16:6 Audivimus superbiam Moab: superbus est valde; superbia ejus, et arrogantia ejus, et indignatio ejus plus quam fortitudo ejus.(vulgate) Isaías 16:6 Hemos oído de la soberbia de Moab, [es] soberbio en extremo; de su soberbia, su arrogancia y su altivez; pero sus mentiras no permanecerán.(E) Ésaïe 16:6 Nous entendons l'orgueil du superbe Moab, Sa fierté et sa hauteur, son arrogance et ses vains discours.(F) Isa 16:6 Wir hören aber von dem Hochmut Moabs, daß er gar groß ist, daß auch ihr Hochmut, Stolz und Zorn größer ist denn ihre Macht.(D) Isa 16:6 ἠκούσαμεν τὴν ὕβριν Μωαβ ὑβριστὴς σφόδρα τὴν ὑπερηφανίαν ἐξῆρας οὐχ οὕτως ἡ μαντεία σου(lxx) Isa 16:6 We have heard of the pride of Moab-- He is very proud-- Of his haughtiness and his pride and his wrath; But his lies shall not be so.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 16:7 ============ Isa 16:7 Therefore Moab will wail; everyone of Moab will wail. You will moan for the raisin cakes of Kir-hareseth As those who are utterly stricken.(nasb) Isa 16:7 Idcirco ululabit Moab ad Moab; universus ululabit: his qui lætantur super muros cocti lateris, loquimini plagas suas.(vulgate) Isaías 16:7 Por tanto, aullará Moab, todo él aullará; gemiréis por los fundamentos de Kir-hareset, en gran manera heridos.(E) Ésaïe 16:7 C'est pourquoi Moab gémit sur Moab, tout gémit; Vous soupirez sur les ruines de Kir-Haréseth, Profondément abattus.(F) Isa 16:7 Darum wird ein Moabiter über den andern heulen; allesamt werden sie Heulen. Über die Grundfesten der Stadt Kir-Hareseth werden sie seufzen, ganz zerschlagen.(D) Isa 16:7 οὐχ οὕτως ὀλολύξει Μωαβ ἐν γὰρ τῇ Μωαβίτιδι πάντες ὀλολύξουσιν τοῖς κατοικοῦσιν Δεσεθ μελετήσεις καὶ οὐκ ἐντραπήσῃ(lxx) Isa 16:7 Therefore Moab shall wail for Moab; Everyone shall wail. For the foundations of Kir Hareseth you shall mourn; Surely they are stricken.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 16:8 ============ Isa 16:8 For the fields of Heshbon have withered, the vines of Sibmah as well; The lords of the nations have trampled down its choice clusters Which reached as far as Jazer and wandered to the deserts; Its tendrils spread themselves out and passed over the sea.(nasb) Isa 16:8 Quoniam suburbana Hesebon deserta sunt, et vineam Sabama domini gentium exciderunt: flagella ejus usque ad Jazer pervenerunt, erraverunt in deserto; propagines ejus relictæ sunt, transierunt mare.(vulgate) Isaías 16:8 Porque los campos de Hesbón se han marchitado, [también] las vides de Sibma; los señores de las naciones pisotearon sus mejores sarmientos; habían llegado hasta Jazer, y se habían extendido por el desierto; se extendieron sus plantas, pasaron el mar.(E) Ésaïe 16:8 Car les campagnes de Hesbon languissent; Les maîtres des nations ont brisé les ceps de la vigne de Sibma, Qui s'étendaient jusqu'à Jaezer, qui erraient dans le désert: Les rameaux se prolongeaient, et allaient au delà de la mer.(F) Isa 16:8 Denn Hesbon ist ein wüstes Feld geworden; der Weinstock zu Sibma ist verderbt; die Herren unter den Heiden haben seine edlen Reben zerschlagen, die da reichten bis gen Jaser und sich zogen in die Wüste; ihre Schößlinge sind zerstreut und über das Meer geführt.(D) Isa 16:8 τὰ πεδία Εσεβων πενθήσει ἄμπελος Σεβαμα καταπίνοντες τὰ ἔθνη καταπατήσατε τὰς ἀμπέλους αὐτῆς ἕως Ιαζηρ οὐ μὴ συνάψητε πλανήθητε τὴν ἔρημον οἱ ἀπεσταλμένοι ἐγκατελείφθησαν διέβησαν γὰρ τὴν ἔρημον(lxx) Isa 16:8 For the fields of Heshbon languish, And the vine of Sibmah; The lords of the nations have broken down its choice plants, Which have reached to Jazer And wandered through the wilderness. Her branches are stretched out, They are gone over the sea.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 16:9 ============ Isa 16:9 Therefore I will weep bitterly for Jazer, for the vine of Sibmah; I will drench you with my tears, O Heshbon and Elealeh; For the shouting over your summer fruits and your harvest has fallen away.(nasb) Isa 16:9 Super hoc plorabo in fletu Jazer vineam Sabama; inebriabo de lacrima mea, Hesebon et Eleale, quoniam super vindemiam tuam et super messem tuam vox calcantium irruit.(vulgate) Isaías 16:9 Por lo cual lamentaré con lloro de Jazer la viña de Sibma; te bañaré de mis lágrimas, oh Hesbón y Eleale; porque los gritos de alegría sobre tus frutos de verano y sobre tu cosecha han cesado.(E) Ésaïe 16:9 Aussi je pleure sur la vigne de Sibma, comme sur Jaezer; Je vous arrose de mes larmes, Hesbon, Elealé! Car sur votre récolte et sur votre moisson Est venu fondre un cri de guerre.(F) Isa 16:9 Darum weine ich um Jaser und um den Weinstock zu Sibma und vergieße viel Tränen um Hesbon und Eleale. Denn es ist ein Gesang in deinen Sommer und in deine Ernte gefallen,(D) Isa 16:9 διὰ τοῦτο κλαύσομαι ὡς τὸν κλαυθμὸν Ιαζηρ ἄμπελον Σεβαμα τὰ δένδρα σου κατέβαλεν Εσεβων καὶ Ελεαλη ὅτι ἐπὶ τῷ θερισμῷ καὶ ἐπὶ τῷ τρυγήτῳ σου καταπατήσω καὶ πάντα πεσοῦνται(lxx) Isa 16:9 Therefore I will bewail the vine of Sibmah, With the weeping of Jazer; I will drench you with my tears, O Heshbon and Elealeh; For battle cries have fallen Over your summer fruits and your harvest.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 16:10 ============ Isa 16:10 Gladness and joy are taken away from the fruitful field; In the vineyards also there will be no cries of joy or jubilant shouting, No treader treads out wine in the presses, For I have made the shouting to cease.(nasb) Isa 16:10 Et auferetur lætitia et exsultatio de Carmelo, et in vineis non exsultabit neque jubilabit. Vinum in torculari non calcabit qui calcare consueverat; vocem calcantium abstuli.(vulgate) Isaías 16:10 Quitado es el gozo y la alegría del campo fértil; en las viñas no cantarán, ni se regocijarán; el pisador no pisará vino en los lagares; el júbilo [del lagarero] he hecho cesar.(E) Ésaïe 16:10 La joie et l'allégresse ont disparu des campagnes; Dans les vignes, plus de chants, plus de réjouissances! Le vendangeur ne foule plus le vin dans les cuves; J'ai fait cesser les cris de joie.(F) Isa 16:10 daß Freude und Wonne im Felde aufhört, und in den Weinbergen jauchzt noch ruft man nicht. Man keltert keinen Wein in den Keltern; ich habe dem Gesang ein Ende gemacht.(D) Isa 16:10 καὶ ἀρθήσεται εὐφροσύνη καὶ ἀγαλλίαμα ἐκ τῶν ἀμπελώνων σου καὶ ἐν τοῖς ἀμπελῶσίν σου οὐ μὴ εὐφρανθήσονται καὶ οὐ μὴ πατήσουσιν οἶνον εἰς τὰ ὑπολήνια πέπαυται γάρ(lxx) Isa 16:10 Gladness is taken away, And joy from the plentiful field; In the vineyards there will be no singing, Nor will there be shouting; No treaders will tread out wine in the presses; I have made their shouting cease.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 16:11 ============ Isa 16:11 Therefore my heart intones like a harp for Moab And my inward feelings for Kir-hareseth.(nasb) Isa 16:11 Super hoc venter meus ad Moab quasi cithara sonabit, et viscera mea ad murum cocti lateris.(vulgate) Isaías 16:11 Por tanto, mis entrañas sonarán como arpa por Moab, y mi interior por Kir-hareset.(E) Ésaïe 16:11 Aussi mes entrailles frémissent sur Moab, comme une harpe, Et mon coeur sur Kir-Harès.(F) Isa 16:11 Darum rauscht mein Herz über Moab wie eine Harfe und mein Inwendiges über Kir-Heres.(D) Isa 16:11 διὰ τοῦτο ἡ κοιλία μου ἐπὶ Μωαβ ὡς κιθάρα ἠχήσει καὶ τὰ ἐντός μου ὡσεὶ τεῖχος ὃ ἐνεκαίνισας(lxx) Isa 16:11 Therefore my heart shall resound like a harp for Moab, And my inner being for Kir Heres.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 16:12 ============ Isa 16:12 So it will come about when Moab presents himself, When he wearies himself upon his high place And comes to his sanctuary to pray, That he will not prevail.(nasb) Isa 16:12 Et erit: cum apparuerit quod laboravit Moab super excelsis suis, ingredietur ad sancta sua ut obsecret, et non valebit.](vulgate) Isaías 16:12 Y sucederá que cuando Moab apareciere cansado sobre los lugares altos, que vendrá a su santuario a orar, pero no le valdrá.(E) Ésaïe 16:12 On voit Moab, qui se fatigue sur les hauts lieux; Il entre dans son sanctuaire pour prier, et il ne peut rien obtenir.(F) Isa 16:12 Alsdann wird's offenbar werden, wie Moab müde ist bei den Altären und wie er zu seinem Heiligtum gegangen sei, zu beten, und doch nichts ausgerichtet habe.(D) Isa 16:12 καὶ ἔσται εἰς τὸ ἐντραπῆναί σε ὅτι ἐκοπίασεν Μωαβ ἐπὶ τοῖς βωμοῖς καὶ εἰσελεύσεται εἰς τὰ χειροποίητα αὐτῆς ὥστε προσεύξασθαι καὶ οὐ μὴ δύνηται ἐξελέσθαι αὐτόν(lxx) Isa 16:12 And it shall come to pass, When it is seen that Moab is weary on the high place, That he will come to his sanctuary to pray; But he will not prevail.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 16:13 ============ Isa 16:13 This is the word which the Lord spoke earlier concerning Moab.(nasb) Isa 16:13 Hoc verbum quod locutus est Dominus ad Moab ex tunc.(vulgate) Isaías 16:13 Ésta [es] la palabra que pronunció Jehová acerca de Moab desde aquel tiempo.(E) Ésaïe 16:13 Telle est la parole que l'Eternel a prononcée dès longtemps sur Moab.(F) Isa 16:13 Das ist's, was der HERR dazumal gegen Moab geredet hat.(D) Isa 16:13 τοῦτο τὸ ῥῆμα ὃ ἐλάλησεν κύριος ἐπὶ Μωαβ ὁπότε καὶ ἐλάλησεν(lxx) Isa 16:13 This is the word which the Lord has spoken concerning Moab since that time.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 16:14 ============ Isa 16:14 But now the Lord speaks, saying, "Within three years, as a hired man would count them, the glory of Moab will be degraded along with all his great population, and his remnant will be very small and impotent."(nasb) Isa 16:14 Et nunc locutus est Dominus, dicens: In tribus annis, quasi anni mercenarii, auferetur gloria Moab super omni populo multo, et relinquetur parvus et modicus, nequaquam multus.(vulgate) Isaías 16:14 Pero ahora Jehová ha hablado, diciendo: Dentro de tres años, como los años de un jornalero, será abatida la gloria de Moab, con toda su gran multitud; y el remanente [será] muy pequeño y débil.(E) Ésaïe 16:14 Et maintenant l'Eternel parle, et dit: Dans trois ans, comme les années d'un mercenaire, La gloire de Moab sera l'objet du mépris, Avec toute cette grande multitude; Et ce qui restera sera peu de chose, presque rien.(F) Isa 16:14 Nun aber redet der HERR und spricht: In drei Jahren, wie eines Tagelöhners Jahre sind, wird die Herrlichkeit Moabs gering werden bei all seiner großen Menge, daß gar wenig übrigbleibe und nicht viel.(D) Isa 16:14 καὶ νῦν λέγω ἐν τρισὶν ἔτεσιν ἐτῶν μισθωτοῦ ἀτιμασθήσεται ἡ δόξα Μωαβ ἐν παντὶ τῷ πλούτῳ τῷ πολλῷ καὶ καταλειφθήσεται ὀλιγοστὸς καὶ οὐκ ἔντιμος(lxx) Isa 16:14 But now the Lord has spoken, saying, "Within three years, as the years of a hired man, the glory of Moab will be despised with all that great multitude, and the remnant will be very small and feeble."(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 17:1 ============ top of the page
