Today's Date: ======= Jeremiah 28:1 ============ Jer 28:1 Now in the same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, in the fifth month, Hananiah the son of Azzur, the prophet, who was from Gibeon, spoke to me in the house of the Lord in the presence of the priests and all the people, saying,(nasb) Jer 28:1 Et factum est in anno illo, in principio regni Sedeciæ regis Juda, in anno quarto, in mense quinto, dixit ad me Hananias filius Azur, propheta de Gabaon, in domo Domini, coram sacerdotibus et omni populo, dicens:(vulgate) Jeremías 28:1 Y aconteció en el mismo año, en el principio del reinado de Sedequías, rey de Judá, en el año cuarto, en el quinto mes, que Hananías, hijo de Azur, profeta que [era] de Gabaón, me habló en la casa de Jehová delante de los sacerdotes y de todo el pueblo, diciendo:(E) Jérémie 28:1 Dans la même année, au commencement du règne de Sédécias, roi de Juda, le cinquième mois de la quatrième année, Hanania, fils d'Azzur, prophète, de Gabaon, me dit dans la maison de l'Eternel, en présence des sacrificateurs et de tout le peuple:(F) Jer 28:1 Und in demselben Jahr, im Anfang des Königreiches Zedekias, des Königs in Juda, im fünften Monat des vierten Jahres, sprach Hananja, der Sohn Assurs, ein Prophet von Gibeon, zu mir im Hause des HERRN, in Gegenwart der Priester und alles Volks, und sagte:(D) Jer 28:1 τάδε λέγει κύριος ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐξεγείρω ἐπὶ Βαβυλῶνα καὶ ἐπὶ τοὺς κατοικοῦντας Χαλδαίους ἄνεμον καύσωνα διαφθείροντα(lxx) Jer 28:1 And it happened in the same year, at the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year and in the fifth month, that Hananiah the son of Azur the prophet, who was from Gibeon, spoke to me in the house of the Lord in the presence of the priests and of all the people, saying,(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 28:2 ============ Jer 28:2 "Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, 'I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.(nasb) Jer 28:2 Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum, Deus Israël: Contrivi jugum regis Babylonis.(vulgate) Jeremías 28:2 Así habló Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, diciendo: Quebranté el yugo del rey de Babilonia.(E) Jérémie 28:2 Ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël: Je brise le joug du roi de Babylone!(F) Jer 28:2 So spricht der HERR Zebaoth der Gott Israels: Ich habe das Joch des Königs zu Babel zerbrochen;(D) Jer 28:2 καὶ ἐξαποστελῶ εἰς Βαβυλῶνα ὑβριστάς καὶ καθυβρίσουσιν αὐτὴν καὶ λυμανοῦνται τὴν γῆν αὐτῆς οὐαὶ ἐπὶ Βαβυλῶνα κυκλόθεν ἐν ἡμέρᾳ κακώσεως αὐτῆς(lxx) Jer 28:2 "Thus speaks the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, saying: 'I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 28:3 ============ Jer 28:3 Within two years I am going to bring back to this place all the vessels of the Lord's house, which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place and carried to Babylon.(nasb) Jer 28:3 Adhuc duo anni dierum, et ego referri faciam ad locum istum omnia vasa domus Domini, quæ tulit Nabuchodonosor rex Babylonis de loco isto, et transtulit ea in Babylonem.(vulgate) Jeremías 28:3 Dentro de dos años haré volver a este lugar todos los vasos de la casa de Jehová, que Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, tomó de este lugar para meterlos en Babilonia.(E) Jérémie 28:3 Encore deux années, et je fais revenir dans ce lieu tous les ustensiles de la maison de l'Eternel, que Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, a enlevés de ce lieu, et qu'il a emportés à Babylone.(F) Jer 28:3 und ehe zwei Jahre um sind, will ich alle Gefäße des Hauses des HERRN, welche Nebukadnezar, der Könige zu Babel, hat von diesem Ort weggenommen und gen Babel geführt, wiederum an diesen Ort bringen;(D) Jer 28:3 ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν τεινέτω ὁ τείνων τὸ τόξον αὐτοῦ καὶ περιθέσθω ᾧ ἐστιν ὅπλα αὐτῷ καὶ μὴ φείσησθε ἐπὶ νεανίσκους αὐτῆς καὶ ἀφανίσατε πᾶσαν τὴν δύναμιν αὐτῆς(lxx) Jer 28:3 Within two full years I will bring back to this place all the vessels of the Lord's house, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place and carried to Babylon.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 28:4 ============ Jer 28:4 I am also going to bring back to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and all the exiles of Judah who went to Babylon, 'declares the Lord, 'for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.'"(nasb) Jer 28:4 Et Jechoniam filium Joakim regem Juda, et omnem transmigrationem Juda, qui ingressi sunt in Babylonem, ego convertam ad locum istum, ait Dominus: conteram enim jugum regis Babylonis.(vulgate) Jeremías 28:4 Y yo traeré otra vez a este lugar a Jeconías, hijo de Joacim, rey de Judá, y a todos los trasportados de Judá que entraron en Babilonia, dice Jehová; porque yo quebrantaré el yugo del rey de Babilonia.(E) Jérémie 28:4 Et je ferai revenir dans ce lieu, dit l'Eternel, Jeconia, fils de Jojakim, roi de Juda, et tous les captifs de Juda, qui sont allés à Babylone; car je briserai le joug du roi de Babylone.(F) Jer 28:4 Dazu Jechonja, den Sohn Jojakims, den König Juda's samt allen Gefangenen aus Juda, die gen Babel geführt sind, will ich auch wieder an diesen Ort bringen, spricht der HERR; denn ich will das Joch des Königs zu Babel zerbrechen.(D) Jer 28:4 καὶ πεσοῦνται τραυματίαι ἐν γῇ Χαλδαίων καὶ κατακεκεντημένοι ἔξωθεν αὐτῆς(lxx) Jer 28:4 And I will bring back to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, with all the captives of Judah who went to Babylon,' says the Lord, 'for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.' "(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 28:5 ============ Jer 28:5 Then the prophet Jeremiah spoke to the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests and in the presence of all the people who were standing in the house of the Lord,(nasb) Jer 28:5 Et dixit Jeremias propheta ad Hananiam prophetam, in oculis sacerdotum, et in oculis omnis populi qui stabat in domo Domini:(vulgate) Jeremías 28:5 Entonces el profeta Jeremías respondió al profeta Hananías, delante de los sacerdotes y delante de todo el pueblo que estaba en la casa de Jehová.(E) Jérémie 28:5 Jérémie, le prophète, répondit à Hanania, le prophète, en présence des sacrificateurs et de tout le peuple qui se tenaient dans la maison de l'Eternel.(F) Jer 28:5 Da sprach der Prophet Jeremia zu dem Propheten Hananja in der Gegenwart der Priester und des ganzen Volks, die im Hause des HERRN standen,(D) Jer 28:5 διότι οὐκ ἐχήρευσεν Ισραηλ καὶ Ιουδας ἀπὸ θεοῦ αὐτῶν ἀπὸ κυρίου παντοκράτορος ὅτι ἡ γῆ αὐτῶν ἐπλήσθη ἀδικίας ἀπὸ τῶν ἁγίων Ισραηλ(lxx) Jer 28:5 Then the prophet Jeremiah spoke to the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests and in the presence of all the people who stood in the house of the Lord,(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 28:6 ============ Jer 28:6 and the prophet Jeremiah said, "Amen! May the Lord do so; may the Lord confirm your words which you have prophesied to bring back the vessels of the Lord's house and all the exiles, from Babylon to this place.(nasb) Jer 28:6 et ait Jeremias propheta: Amen! sic faciat Dominus: suscitet Dominus verba tua quæ prophetasti, ut referantur vasa in domum Domini, et omnis transmigratio de Babylone ad locum istum.(vulgate) Jeremías 28:6 Y el profeta Jeremías dijo: Amén, así lo haga Jehová. Confirme Jehová tus palabras, con las cuales profetizaste que los vasos de la casa de Jehová, y todos los trasportados, han de ser devueltos de Babilonia a este lugar.(E) Jérémie 28:6 Jérémie, le prophète, dit: Amen! que l'Eternel fasse ainsi! que l'Eternel accomplisse les paroles que tu as prophétisées, et qu'il fasse revenir de Babylone en ce lieu les ustensiles de la maison de l'Eternel et tous les captifs!(F) Jer 28:6 und sagte: Amen! Der HERR tue also; der HERR bestätige dein Wort, das du geweissagt hast, daß er die Gefäße aus dem Hause des HERRN von Babel wieder bringe an diesen Ort samt allen Gefangenen.(D) Jer 28:6 φεύγετε ἐκ μέσου Βαβυλῶνος καὶ ἀνασῴζετε ἕκαστος τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ καὶ μὴ ἀπορριφῆτε ἐν τῇ ἀδικίᾳ αὐτῆς ὅτι καιρὸς ἐκδικήσεως αὐτῆς ἐστιν παρὰ κυρίου ἀνταπόδομα αὐτὸς ἀνταποδίδωσιν αὐτῇ(lxx) Jer 28:6 and the prophet Jeremiah said, "Amen! The Lord do so; the Lord perform your words which you have prophesied, to bring back the vessels of the Lord's house and all who were carried away captive, from Babylon to this place.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 28:7 ============ Jer 28:7 Yet hear now this word which I am about to speak in your hearing and in the hearing of all the people!(nasb) Jer 28:7 Verumtamen audi verbum hoc quod ego loquor in auribus tuis, et in auribus universi populi:(vulgate) Jeremías 28:7 Con todo eso, oye ahora esta palabra que yo hablo en tus oídos y en los oídos de todo el pueblo:(E) Jérémie 28:7 Seulement écoute cette parole que je prononce à tes oreilles et aux oreilles de tout le peuple:(F) Jer 28:7 Aber doch höre auch dies Wort, das ich vor deinen Ohren rede und vor den Ohren des ganzen Volks:(D) Jer 28:7 ποτήριον χρυσοῦν Βαβυλὼν ἐν χειρὶ κυρίου μεθύσκον πᾶσαν τὴν γῆν ἀπὸ τοῦ οἴνου αὐτῆς ἐπίοσαν ἔθνη διὰ τοῦτο ἐσαλεύθησαν(lxx) Jer 28:7 Nevertheless hear now this word that I speak in your hearing and in the hearing of all the people:(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 28:8 ============ Jer 28:8 The prophets who were before me and before you from ancient times prophesied against many lands and against great kingdoms, of war and of calamity and of pestilence.(nasb) Jer 28:8 prophetæ qui fuerunt ante me et ante te, ab initio, et prophetaverunt super terras multas et super regna magna de prælio, et de afflictione, et de fame:(vulgate) Jeremías 28:8 Los profetas que fueron antes de mí y antes de ti en tiempos pasados, profetizaron sobre muchas tierras y grandes reinos, de guerra, y de aflicción, y de pestilencia.(E) Jérémie 28:8 Les prophètes qui ont paru avant moi et avant toi, dès les temps anciens, ont prophétisé contre des pays puissants et de grands royaumes la guerre, le malheur et la peste;(F) Jer 28:8 Die Propheten, die vor mir und vor dir gewesen sind von alters her, die haben wider viel Länder und Königreiche geweissagt von Krieg, von Unglück und von Pestilenz;(D) Jer 28:8 καὶ ἄφνω ἔπεσεν Βαβυλὼν καὶ συνετρίβη θρηνεῖτε αὐτήν λάβετε ῥητίνην τῇ διαφθορᾷ αὐτῆς εἴ πως ἰαθήσεται(lxx) Jer 28:8 The prophets who have been before me and before you of old prophesied against many countries and great kingdoms--of war and disaster and pestilence.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 28:9 ============ Jer 28:9 The prophet who prophesies of peace, when the word of the prophet comes to pass, then that prophet will be known as one whom the Lord has truly sent."(nasb) Jer 28:9 propheta qui vaticinatus est pacem, cum venerit verbum ejus, scietur propheta quem misit Dominus in veritate.(vulgate) Jeremías 28:9 El profeta que profetizó de paz, cuando se cumpliere la palabra del profeta, será conocido el profeta que Jehová en verdad lo envió.(E) Jérémie 28:9 mais si un prophète prophétise la paix, c'est par l'accomplissement de ce qu'il prophétise qu'il sera reconnu comme véritablement envoyé par l'Eternel.(F) Jer 28:9 wenn aber ein Prophet von Frieden weissagt, den wird man kennen, ob ihn der HERR wahrhaftig gesandt hat, wenn sein Wort erfüllt wird.(D) Jer 28:9 ἰατρεύσαμεν τὴν Βαβυλῶνα καὶ οὐκ ἰάθη ἐγκαταλίπωμεν αὐτὴν καὶ ἀπέλθωμεν ἕκαστος εἰς τὴν γῆν αὐτοῦ ὅτι ἤγγισεν εἰς οὐρανὸν τὸ κρίμα αὐτῆς ἐξῆρεν ἕως τῶν ἄστρων(lxx) Jer 28:9 As for the prophet who prophesies of peace, when the word of the prophet comes to pass, the prophet will be known as one whom the Lord has truly sent."(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 28:10 ============ Jer 28:10 Then Hananiah the prophet took the yoke from the neck of Jeremiah the prophet and broke it.(nasb) Jer 28:10 Et tulit Hananias propheta catenam de collo Jeremiæ prophetæ, et confregit eam.(vulgate) Jeremías 28:10 Entonces el profeta Hananías quitó el yugo del cuello del profeta Jeremías y lo quebró.(E) Jérémie 28:10 Alors Hanania, le prophète, enleva le joug de dessus le cou de Jérémie, le prophète, et il le brisa.(F) Jer 28:10 Da nahm Hananja das Joch vom Halse des Propheten Jeremia und zerbrach es.(D) Jer 28:10 ἐξήνεγκεν κύριος τὸ κρίμα αὐτοῦ δεῦτε καὶ ἀναγγείλωμεν εἰς Σιων τὰ ἔργα κυρίου θεοῦ ἡμῶν(lxx) Jer 28:10 Then Hananiah the prophet took the yoke off the prophet Jeremiah's neck and broke it.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 28:11 ============ Jer 28:11 Hananiah spoke in the presence of all the people, saying, "Thus says the Lord, 'Even so will I break within two full years the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon from the neck of all the nations.'" Then the prophet Jeremiah went his way.(nasb) Jer 28:11 Et ait Hananias in conspectu omnis populi, dicens: Hæc dicit Dominus: Sic confringam jugum Nabuchodonosor regis Babylonis, post duos annos dierum de collo omnium gentium.(vulgate) Jeremías 28:11 Y habló Hananías en presencia de todo el pueblo, diciendo: Así dice Jehová: De esta manera quebraré el yugo de Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, del cuello de todas las gentes dentro de dos años. Y el profeta Jeremías se fue por su camino.(E) Jérémie 28:11 Et Hanania dit en présence de tout le peuple: Ainsi parle l'Eternel: C'est ainsi que, dans deux années, je briserai de dessus le cou de toutes les nations le joug de Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone. Et Jérémie, le prophète, s'en alla.(F) Jer 28:11 Und Hananja sprach in Gegenwart des ganzen Volks: So spricht der HERR: Ebenso will ich zerbrechen das Joch Nebukadnezars, des Königs zu Babel, ehe zwei Jahre um kommen, vom Halse aller Völker. Und der Prophet Jeremia ging seines Weges.(D) Jer 28:11 παρασκευάζετε τὰ τοξεύματα πληροῦτε τὰς φαρέτρας ἤγειρεν κύριος τὸ πνεῦμα βασιλέως Μήδων ὅτι εἰς Βαβυλῶνα ἡ ὀργὴ αὐτοῦ τοῦ ἐξολεθρεῦσαι αὐτήν ὅτι ἐκδίκησις κυρίου ἐστίν ἐκδίκησις λαοῦ αὐτοῦ ἐστιν(lxx) Jer 28:11 And Hananiah spoke in the presence of all the people, saying, "Thus says the Lord: 'Even so I will break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon from the neck of all nations within the space of two full years.' " And the prophet Jeremiah went his way.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 28:12 ============ Jer 28:12 The word of the Lord came to Jeremiah after Hananiah the prophet had broken the yoke from off the neck of the prophet Jeremiah, saying,(nasb) Jer 28:12 Et abiit Jeremias propheta in viam suam. Et factum est verbum Domini ad Jeremiam, postquam confregit Hananias propheta catenam de collo Jeremiæ, dicens:(vulgate) Jeremías 28:12 Y después que el profeta Hananías quebró el yugo del cuello del [profeta] Jeremías, vino palabra de Jehová a Jeremías, diciendo:(E) Jérémie 28:12 Après que Hanania, le prophète, eut brisé le joug de dessus le cou de Jérémie, le prophète, la parole de l'Eternel fut adressée à Jérémie, en ces mots:(F) Jer 28:12 Aber des HERRN Wort geschah zu Jeremia, nachdem der Prophet Hananja das Joch zerbrochen hatte vom Halse des Propheten Jeremia und sprach:(D) Jer 28:12 ἐπὶ τειχέων Βαβυλῶνος ἄρατε σημεῖον ἐπιστήσατε φαρέτρας ἐγείρατε φυλακάς ἑτοιμάσατε ὅπλα ὅτι ἐνεχείρησεν καὶ ποιήσει κύριος ἃ ἐλάλησεν ἐπὶ τοὺς κατοικοῦντας Βαβυλῶνα(lxx) Jer 28:12 Now the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, after Hananiah the prophet had broken the yoke from the neck of the prophet Jeremiah, saying,(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 28:13 ============ Jer 28:13 "Go and speak to Hananiah, saying, 'Thus says the Lord, "You have broken the yokes of wood, but you have made instead of them yokes of iron."(nasb) Jer 28:13 Vade, et dices Hananiæ: Hæc dicit Dominus: Catenas ligneas contrivisti, et facies pro eis catenas ferreas.(vulgate) Jeremías 28:13 Ve, y habla a Hananías, diciendo: Así dice Jehová: Yugos de madera quebraste, mas en vez de ellos harás yugos de hierro.(E) Jérémie 28:13 Va, et dis à Hanania: Ainsi parle l'Eternel: Tu as brisé un joug de bois, et tu auras à sa place un joug de fer.(F) Jer 28:13 Geh hin und sage Hananja: So spricht der HERR: Du hast das hölzerne Joch zerbrochen und hast nun ein eisernes Joch an jenes Statt gemacht.(D) Jer 28:13 κατασκηνοῦντας ἐφ᾽ ὕδασι πολλοῖς καὶ ἐπὶ πλήθει θησαυρῶν αὐτῆς ἥκει τὸ πέρας σου ἀληθῶς εἰς τὰ σπλάγχα σου(lxx) Jer 28:13 "Go and tell Hananiah, saying, 'Thus says the Lord: "You have broken the yokes of wood, but you have made in their place yokes of iron."(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 28:14 ============ Jer 28:14 For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, "I have put a yoke of iron on the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they will serve him. And I have also given him the beasts of the field."'"(nasb) Jer 28:14 Quia hæc dicit Dominus exercituum, Deus Israël: Jugum ferreum posui super collum cunctarum gentium istarum, ut serviant Nabuchodonosor regi Babylonis, et servient ei: insuper et bestias terræ dedi ei.(vulgate) Jeremías 28:14 Porque así dice Jehová de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel: Yugo de hierro puse sobre el cuello de todas estas naciones, para que sirvan a Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, y le servirán; y aun también le he dado las bestias del campo.(E) Jérémie 28:14 Car ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël: Je mets un joug de fer sur le cou de toutes ces nations, pour qu'elles soient asservies à Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, et elles lui seront asservies; je lui donne aussi les animaux des champs.(F) Jer 28:14 Denn so spricht der HERR Zebaoth, der Gott Israels: Ein eisernes Joch habe ich allen diesen Völkern an den Hals gehängt, damit sie dienen sollen Nebukadnezar, dem König zu Babel, und müssen ihm dienen; denn ich habe ihm auch die wilden Tiere gegeben.(D) Jer 28:14 ὅτι ὤμοσεν κύριος κατὰ τοῦ βραχίονος αὐτοῦ διότι πληρώσω σε ἀνθρώπων ὡσεὶ ἀκρίδων καὶ φθέγξονται ἐπὶ σὲ οἱ καταβαίνοντες(lxx) Jer 28:14 For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: "I have put a yoke of iron on the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they shall serve him. I have given him the beasts of the field also." ' "(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 28:15 ============ Jer 28:15 Then Jeremiah the prophet said to Hananiah the prophet, "Listen now, Hananiah, the Lord has not sent you, and you have made this people trust in a lie.(nasb) Jer 28:15 Et dixit Jeremias propheta ad Hananiam prophetam: Audi, Hanania: non misit te Dominus, et tu confidere fecisti populum istum in mendacio.(vulgate) Jeremías 28:15 Entonces el profeta Jeremías dijo al profeta Hananías: Ahora oye, Hananías; Jehová no te envió, y tú has hecho que este pueblo confíe en mentira.(E) Jérémie 28:15 Et Jérémie, le prophète, dit à Hanania, le prophète: Ecoute, Hanania! L'Eternel ne t'a point envoyé, et tu inspires à ce peuple une fausse confiance.(F) Jer 28:15 Und der Prophet Jeremia sprach zum Propheten Hananja: Höre doch, Hananja! Der HERR hat dich nicht gesandt, und du hast gemacht, daß dies Volk auf Lügen sich verläßt.(D) Jer 28:15 ποιῶν γῆν ἐν τῇ ἰσχύι αὐτοῦ ἑτοιμάζων οἰκουμένην ἐν τῇ σοφίᾳ αὐτοῦ ἐν τῇ συνέσει αὐτοῦ ἐξέτεινεν τὸν οὐρανόν(lxx) Jer 28:15 Then the prophet Jeremiah said to Hananiah the prophet, "Hear now, Hananiah, the Lord has not sent you, but you make this people trust in a lie.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 28:16 ============ Jer 28:16 Therefore thus says the Lord, 'Behold, I am about to remove you from the face of the earth.
