Il avait l'esprit agité, et ne pouvait dormir.(F) Dan 2:1 Im zweiten Jahr des Reiches Nebukadnezars hatte Nebukadnezar einen Traum, davon er erschrak, daß er aufwachte.(D) Dan 2:1 καὶ ἐν τῷ ἔτει τῷ δευτέρῳ τῆς βασιλείας Ναβουχοδονοσορ συνέβη εἰς ὁράματα καὶ ἐνύπνια ἐμπεσεῖν τὸν βασιλέα καὶ ταραχθῆναι ἐν τῷ ἐνυπνίῳ αὐτοῦ καὶ ὁ ὕπνος αὐτοῦ ἐγένετο ἀπ᾽ αὐτοῦ(lxx) Dan 2:1 Now in the second year of Nebuchadnezzar's reign, Nebuchadnezzar had dreams; and his spirit was so troubled that his sleep left him.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 2:2 ============ Dan 2:2 Then the king gave orders to call in the magicians, the conjurers, the sorcerers and the Chaldeans to tell the king his dreams. So they came in and stood before the king.(nasb) Dan 2:2 Praecepit autem rex ut convocarentur arioli, et magi, et malefici, et Chaldaei, ut indicarent regi somnia sua. Qui cum venissent, steterunt coram rege.(vulgate) Daniel 2:2 Y el rey mandó llamar a magos, astrólogos, encantadores y caldeos, para que declarasen al rey sus sueños. Vinieron, pues, y se presentaron delante del rey.(E) Daniel 2:2 Le roi fit appeler les magiciens, les astrologues, les enchanteurs et les Chaldéens, pour qu'ils lui disent ses songes. Ils vinrent, et se présentèrent devant le roi.(F) Dan 2:2 Und er hieß alle Seher und Weisen und Zauberer und Chaldäer zusammenfordern, daß sie dem König seinen Traum sagen sollten. Und sie kamen und traten vor den König.(D) Dan 2:2 καὶ ἐπέταξεν ὁ βασιλεὺς εἰσενεχθῆναι τοὺς ἐπαοιδοὺς καὶ τοὺς μάγους καὶ τοὺς φαρμακοὺς τῶν Χαλδαίων ἀναγγεῖλαι τῷ βασιλεῖ τὰ ἐνύπνια αὐτοῦ καὶ παραγενόμενοι ἔστησαν παρὰ τῷ βασιλεῖ(lxx) Dan 2:2 Then the king gave the command to call the magicians, the astrologers, the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans to tell the king his dreams. So they came and stood before the king.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 2:3 ============ Dan 2:3 The king said to them, "I had a dream and my spirit is anxious to understand the dream."(nasb) Dan 2:3 Et dixit ad eos rex: Vidi somnium, et mente confusus ignoro quid viderim.(vulgate) Daniel 2:3 Y el rey les dijo: He tenido un sueño, y mi espíritu se ha perturbado por saber del sueño.(E) Daniel 2:3 Le roi leur dit: J'ai eu un songe; mon esprit est agité, et je voudrais connaître ce songe.(F) Dan 2:3 Und der König sprach zu ihnen: Ich habe einen Traum gehabt, der hat mich erschreckt; und ich wollte gern wissen, was es für ein Traum gewesen sei.(D) Dan 2:3 καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς ὁ βασιλεύς ἐνύπνιον ἑώρακα καὶ ἐκινήθη μου τὸ πνεῦμα ἐπιγνῶναι οὖν θέλω τὸ ἐνύπνιον(lxx) Dan 2:3 And the king said to them, "I have had a dream, and my spirit is anxious to know the dream."(nkjv) ======= Daniel 2:4 ============ Dan 2:4 Then the Chaldeans spoke to the king in Aramaic. "O king, live forever! Tell the dream to your servants, and we will declare the interpretation."(nasb) Dan 2:4 Responderuntque Chaldaei regi syriace: Rex, in sempiternum vive! dic somnium servis tuis, et interpretationem ejus indicabimus.(vulgate) Daniel 2:4 Entonces hablaron los caldeos al rey en lengua aramea: Rey, para siempre vive; di el sueño a tus siervos, y mostraremos la interpretación.(E) Daniel 2:4 Les Chaldéens répondirent au roi en langue araméenne: O roi, vis éternellement! dis le songe à tes serviteurs, et nous en donnerons l'explication.(F) Dan 2:4 Da sprachen die Chaldäer zum König auf chaldäisch: Der König lebe ewiglich! Sage deinen Knechten den Traum, so wollen wir ihn deuten.(D) Dan 2:4 καὶ ἐλάλησαν οἱ Χαλδαῖοι πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα Συριστί κύριε βασιλεῦ τὸν αἰῶνα ζῆθι ἀνάγγειλον τὸ ἐνύπνιόν σου τοῖς παισί σου καὶ ἡμεῖς σοι φράσομεν τὴν σύγκρισιν αὐτοῦ(lxx) Dan 2:4 Then the Chaldeans spoke to the king in Aramaic, "O king, live forever! Tell your servants the dream, and we will give the interpretation."(nkjv) ======= Daniel 2:5 ============ Dan 2:5 The king replied to the Chaldeans, "The command from me is firm: if you do not make known to me the dream and its interpretation, you will be torn limb from limb and your houses will be made a rubbish heap.(nasb) Dan 2:5 Et respondens rex ait Chaldaeis: Sermo recessit a me: nisi indicaveritis mihi somnium, et conjecturam ejus, peribitis vos, et domus vestrae publicabuntur.(vulgate) Daniel 2:5 Respondió el rey y dijo a los caldeos: El asunto se me fue; si no me mostráis el sueño y su interpretación, seréis descuartizados, y vuestras casas serán puestas por muladares.(E) Daniel 2:5 Le roi reprit la parole et dit aux Chaldéens: La chose m'a échappé; si vous ne me faites connaître le songe et son explication, vous serez mis en pièces, et vos maisons seront réduites en un tas d'immondices.(F) Dan 2:5 Der König antwortete und sprach zu den Chaldäern: Es ist mir entfallen. Werdet ihr mir den Traum nicht anzeigen und ihn deuten, so sollt ihr in Stücke zerhauen und eure Häuser schändlich zerstört werden.(D) Dan 2:5 ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ ὁ βασιλεὺς εἶπε τοῖς Χαλδαίοις ὅτι ἐὰν μὴ ἀπαγγείλητέ μοι ἐπ᾽ ἀληθείας τὸ ἐνύπνιον καὶ τὴν τούτου σύγκρισιν δηλώσητέ μοι παραδειγματισθήσεσθε καὶ ἀναληφθήσεται ὑμῶν τὰ ὑπάρχοντα εἰς τὸ βασιλικόν(lxx) Dan 2:5 The king answered and said to the Chaldeans, "My decision is firm: if you do not make known the dream to me, and its interpretation, you shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made an ash heap.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 2:6 ============ Dan 2:6 But if you declare the dream and its interpretation, you will receive from me gifts and a reward and great honor; therefore declare to me the dream and its interpretation."(nasb) Dan 2:6 Si autem somnium, et conjecturam ejus narraveritis, praemia, et dona, et honorem multum accipietis a me. Somnium igitur, et interpretationem ejus indicate mihi.(vulgate) Daniel 2:6 Y si mostrareis el sueño y su interpretación, recibiréis de mí dones y recompensas y grande honra; por tanto, mostradme el sueño y su interpretación.(E) Daniel 2:6 Mais si vous me dites le songe et son explication, vous recevrez de moi des dons et des présents, et de grands honneurs. C'est pourquoi dites-moi le songe et son explication.(F) Dan 2:6 Werdet ihr mir aber den Traum anzeigen und deuten, so sollt ihr Geschenke, Gaben und große Ehre von mir haben. Darum so sagt mir den Traum und seine Deutung.(D) Dan 2:6 ἐὰν δὲ τὸ ἐνύπνιον διασαφήσητέ μοι καὶ τὴν τούτου σύγκρισιν ἀναγγείλητε λήψεσθε δόματα παντοῖα καὶ δοξασθήσεσθε ὑπ᾽ ἐμοῦ δηλώσατέ μοι τὸ ἐνύπνιον καὶ κρίνατε(lxx) Dan 2:6 However, if you tell the dream and its interpretation, you shall receive from me gifts, rewards, and great honor. Therefore tell me the dream and its interpretation."(nkjv) ======= Daniel 2:7 ============ Dan 2:7 They answered a second time and said, "Let the king tell the dream to his servants, and we will declare the interpretation."(nasb) Dan 2:7 Responderunt secundo, atque dixerunt: Rex somnium dicat servis suis, et interpretationem illius indicabimus.(vulgate) Daniel 2:7 Respondieron la segunda vez, y dijeron: Diga el rey el sueño a sus siervos, y mostraremos su interpretación.(E) Daniel 2:7 Ils répondirent pour la seconde fois: Que le roi dise le songe à ses serviteurs, et nous en donnerons l'explication.(F) Dan 2:7 Sie antworteten wiederum und sprachen: Der König sage seinen Knechten den Traum, so wollen wir ihn deuten.(D) Dan 2:7 ἀπεκρίθησαν δὲ ἐκ δευτέρου λέγοντες βασιλεῦ τὸ ὅραμα εἰπόν καὶ οἱ παῖδές σου κρινοῦσι πρὸς ταῦτα(lxx) Dan 2:7 They answered again and said, "Let the king tell his servants the dream, and we will give its interpretation."(nkjv) ======= Daniel 2:8 ============ Dan 2:8 The king replied, "I know for certain that you are bargaining for time, inasmuch as you have seen that the command from me is firm,(nasb) Dan 2:8 Respondit rex, et ait: Certe novi quod tempus redimitis, scientes quod recesserit a me sermo.(vulgate) Daniel 2:8 El rey respondió, y dijo: Yo conozco ciertamente que vosotros ponéis dilaciones, porque veis que el asunto se me ha ido.(E) Daniel 2:8 Le roi reprit la parole et dit: Je m'aperçois, en vérité, que vous voulez gagner du temps, parce que vous voyez que la chose m'a échappé.(F) Dan 2:8 Der König antwortete und sprach: Wahrlich, ich merke es, daß ihr Frist sucht, weil ihr seht, daß mir's entfallen ist.(D) Dan 2:8 καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς ὁ βασιλεύς ἐπ᾽ ἀληθείας οἶδα ὅτι καιρὸν ὑμεῖς ἐξαγοράζετε καθάπερ ἑωράκατε ὅτι ἀπέστη ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ τὸ πρᾶγμα καθάπερ οὖν προστέταχα οὕτως ἔσται(lxx) Dan 2:8 The king answered and said, "I know for certain that you would gain time, because you see that my decision is firm:(nkjv) ======= Daniel 2:9 ============ Dan 2:9 that if you do not make the dream known to me, there is only one decree for you. For you have agreed together to speak lying and corrupt words before me until the situation is changed; therefore tell me the dream, that I may know that you can declare to me its interpretation."(nasb) Dan 2:9 Si ergo somnium non indicaveritis mihi, una est de vobis sententia, quod interpretationem quoque fallacem, et deceptione plenam composueritis, ut loquamini mihi donec tempus pertranseat. Somnium itaque dicite mihi, ut sciam quod interpretationem quoque ejus veram loquamini.(vulgate) Daniel 2:9 Si no me mostráis el sueño, una sola sentencia será de vosotros. Ciertamente preparáis respuesta mentirosa y perversa que decir delante de mí, entre tanto que se pasa el tiempo; por tanto, decidme el sueño, para que yo entienda que me podéis mostrar su interpretación.(E) Daniel 2:9 Si donc vous ne me faites pas connaître le songe, la même sentence vous enveloppera tous; vous voulez vous préparer à me dire des mensonges et des faussetés, en attendant que les temps soient changés. C'est pourquoi dites-moi le songe, et je saurai si vous êtes capables de m'en donner l'explication.(F) Dan 2:9 Aber werdet ihr mir nicht den Traum sagen, so geht das Recht über euch, als die ihr Lügen und Gedichte vor mir zu reden euch vorgenommen habt, bis die Zeit vorübergehe. Darum so sagt mir den Traum, so kann ich merken, daß ihr auch die Deutung trefft.(D) Dan 2:9 ἐὰν μὴ τὸ ἐνύπνιον ἀπαγγείλητέ μοι ἐπ᾽ ἀληθείας καὶ τὴν τούτου σύγκρισιν δηλώσητε θανάτῳ περιπεσεῖσθε συνείπασθε γὰρ λόγους ψευδεῖς ποιήσασθαι ἐπ᾽ ἐμοῦ ἕως ἂν ὁ καιρὸς ἀλλοιωθῇ νῦν οὖν ἐὰν τὸ ῥῆμα εἴπητέ μοι ὃ τὴν νύκτα ἑώρακα γνώσομαι ὅτι καὶ τὴν τούτου κρίσιν δηλώσετε(lxx) Dan 2:9 if you do not make known the dream to me, there is only one decree for you! For you have agreed to speak lying and corrupt words before me till the time has changed. Therefore tell me the dream, and I shall know that you can give me its interpretation."(nkjv) ======= Daniel 2:10 ============ Dan 2:10 The Chaldeans answered the king and said, "There is not a man on earth who could declare the matter for the king, inasmuch as no great king or ruler has ever asked anything like this of any magician, conjurer or Chaldean.(nasb) Dan 2:10 Respondentes ergo Chaldaei coram rege, dixerunt: Non est homo super terram, qui sermonem tuum, rex, possit implere: sed neque regum quisquam magnus et potens verbum hujuscemodi sciscitatur ab omni ariolo, et mago, et Chaldaeo.(vulgate) Daniel 2:10 Los caldeos respondieron delante del rey, y dijeron: No hay hombre sobre la tierra que pueda declarar el asunto del rey; pues ningún rey, príncipe, o señor, preguntó cosa semejante a ningún mago, ni astrólogo, ni caldeo.(E) Daniel 2:10 Les Chaldéens répondirent au roi: Il n'est personne sur la terre qui puisse dire ce que demande le roi; aussi jamais roi, quelque grand et puissant qu'il ait été, n'a exigé une pareille chose d'aucun magicien, astrologue ou Chaldéen.(F) Dan 2:10 Da antworteten die Chaldäer vor dem König und sprachen zu ihm: Es ist kein Mensch auf Erden, der sagen könne, was der König fordert. So ist auch kein König, wie groß oder mächtig er sei, der solches von irgend einem Sternseher, Weisen oder Chaldäer fordere.(D) Dan 2:10 καὶ ἀπεκρίθησαν οἱ Χαλδαῖοι ἐπὶ τοῦ βασιλέως ὅτι οὐδεὶς τῶν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς δυνήσεται εἰπεῖν τῷ βασιλεῖ ὃ ἑώρακε καθάπερ σὺ ἐρωτᾷς καὶ πᾶς βασιλεὺς καὶ πᾶς δυνάστης τοιοῦτο πρᾶγμα οὐκ ἐπερωτᾷ πάντα σοφὸν καὶ μάγον καὶ Χαλδαῖον(lxx) Dan 2:10 The Chaldeans answered the king, and said, "There is not a man on earth who can tell the king's matter; therefore no king, lord, or ruler has ever asked such things of any magician, astrologer, or Chaldean.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 2:11 ============ Dan 2:11 Moreover, the thing which the king demands is difficult, and there is no one else who could declare it to the king except gods, whose dwelling place is not with mortal flesh."(nasb) Dan 2:11 Sermo enim, quem tu quaeris, rex, gravis est: nec reperietur quisquam qui indicet illum in conspectu regis, exceptis diis, quorum non est cum hominibus conversatio.(vulgate) Daniel 2:11 Finalmente, el asunto que el rey demanda, es singular, ni hay quien lo pueda declarar delante del rey, salvo los dioses cuya morada no es con la carne.(E) Daniel 2:11 Ce que le roi demande est difficile; il n'y a personne qui puisse le dire au roi, excepté les dieux, dont la demeure n'est pas parmi les hommes.(F) Dan 2:11 Denn was der König fordert, ist zu hoch, und ist auch sonst niemand, der es vor dem König sagen könne, ausgenommen die Götter, die bei den Menschen nicht wohnen.(D) Dan 2:11 καὶ ὁ λόγος ὃν ζητεῖς βασιλεῦ βαρύς ἐστι καὶ ἐπίδοξος καὶ οὐδείς ἐστιν ὃς δηλώσει ταῦτα τῷ βασιλεῖ εἰ μήτι ἄγγελος οὗ οὐκ ἔστι κατοικητήριον μετὰ πάσης σαρκός ὅθεν οὐκ ἐνδέχεται γενέσθαι καθάπερ οἴει(lxx) Dan 2:11 It is a difficult thing that the king requests, and there is no other who can tell it to the king except the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh."(nkjv) ======= Daniel 2:12 ============ Dan 2:12 Because of this the king became indignant and very furious and gave orders to destroy all the wise men of Babylon.(nasb) Dan 2:12 Quo audito, rex, in furore et in ira magna, praecepit ut perirent omnes sapientes Babylonis.(vulgate) Daniel 2:12 Por esta causa el rey se enojó, y enfurecido, mandó que matasen a todos los sabios de Babilonia.(E) Daniel 2:12 Là-dessus le roi se mit en colère, et s'irrita violemment. Il ordonna qu'on fasse périr tous les sages de Babylone.(F) Dan 2:12 Da ward der König sehr zornig und befahl, alle Weisen zu Babel umzubringen.(D) Dan 2:12 τότε ὁ βασιλεὺς στυγνὸς γενόμενος καὶ περίλυπος προσέταξεν ἐξαγαγεῖν πάντας τοὺς σοφοὺς τῆς Βαβυλωνίας(lxx) Dan 2:12 For this reason the king was angry and very furious, and gave a command to destroy all the wise men of Babylon.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 2:13 ============ Dan 2:13 So the decree went forth that the wise men should be slain; and they looked for Daniel and his friends to kill them.(nasb) Dan 2:13 Et egressa sententia, sapientes interficiebantur: quaerebanturque Daniel et socii ejus, ut perirent.(vulgate) Daniel 2:13 Y se publicó el decreto, de que los sabios fueran llevados a la muerte; y buscaron a Daniel y a sus compañeros para matarlos.(E) Daniel 2:13 La sentence fut publiée, les sages étaient mis à mort, et l'on cherchait Daniel et ses compagnons pour les faire périr.(F) Dan 2:13 Und das Urteil ging aus, daß man die Weisen töten sollte; und Dan el samt seinen Gesellen ward auch gesucht, daß man sie tötete.(D) Dan 2:13 καὶ ἐδογματίσθη πάντας ἀποκτεῖναι ἐζητήθη δὲ ὁ Δανιηλ καὶ πάντες οἱ μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ χάριν τοῦ συναπολέσθαι(lxx) Dan 2:13 So the decree went out, and they began killing the wise men; and they sought Daniel and his companions, to kill them.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 2:14 ============ Dan 2:14 Then Daniel replied with discretion and discernment to Arioch, the captain of the king's bodyguard, who had gone forth to slay the wise men of Babylon;(nasb) Dan 2:14 Tunc Daniel requisivit de lege atque sententia ab Arioch principe militiae regis, qui egressus fuerat ad interficiendos sapientes Babylonis.(vulgate) Daniel 2:14 Entonces Daniel habló avisada y prudentemente a Arioc, capitán de la guardia del rey, que había salido para matar a los sabios de Babilonia.(E) Daniel 2:14 Alors Daniel s'adressa d'une manière prudente et sensée à Arjoc, chef des gardes du roi, qui était sorti pour mettre à mort les sages de Babylone.(F) Dan 2:14 Da erwiderte Dan el klug und verständig dem Arioch, dem obersten Richter des Königs, welcher auszog, zu töten die Weisen zu Babel.(D) Dan 2:14 τότε Δανιηλ εἶπε βουλὴν καὶ γνώμην ἣν εἶχεν Αριώχῃ τῷ ἀρχιμαγείρῳ τοῦ βασιλέως ᾧ προσέταξεν ἐξαγαγεῖν τοὺς σοφιστὰς τῆς Βαβυλωνίας(lxx) Dan 2:14 Then with counsel and wisdom Daniel answered Arioch, the captain of the king's guard, who had gone out to kill the wise men of Babylon;(nkjv) ======= Daniel 2:15 ============ Dan 2:15 he said to Arioch, the king's commander, "For what reason is the decree from the king so urgent?" Then Arioch informed Daniel about the matter.(nasb) Dan 2:15 Et interrogavit eum, qui a rege potestatem acceperat, quam ob causam tam crudelis sententia a facie regis esset egressa. Cum ergo rem indicasset Arioch Danieli,(vulgate) Daniel 2:15 Habló y dijo a Arioc capitán del rey: ¿Cuál es la causa por la que este decreto se publique de parte del rey tan apresuradamente? Entonces Arioc declaró el asunto a Daniel.(E) Daniel 2:15 Il prit la parole et dit à Arjoc, commandant du roi: Pourquoi la sentence du roi est-elle si sévère? Und Arioch zeigte es dem Dan el an.(D) Dan 2:15 καὶ ἐπυνθάνετο αὐτοῦ λέγων περὶ τίνος δογματίζεται πικρῶς παρὰ τοῦ βασιλέως τότε τὸ πρόσταγμα ἐσήμανεν ὁ Αριώχης τῷ Δανιηλ(lxx) Dan 2:15 he answered and said to Arioch the king's captain, "Why is the decree from the king so urgent?" Et Daniel bénit le Dieu des cieux.(F) Dan 2:19 Da ward Dan el solch verborgenes Ding durch ein Gesicht des Nachts offenbart.(D) Dan 2:19 τότε τῷ Δανιηλ ἐν ὁράματι ἐν αὐτῇ τῇ νυκτὶ τὸ μυστήριον τοῦ βασιλέως ἐξεφάνθη εὐσήμως τότε Δανιηλ εὐλόγησε τὸν κύριον τὸν ὕψιστον(lxx) Dan 2:19 Then the secret was revealed to Daniel in a night vision. So Daniel blessed the God of heaven.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 2:20 ============ Dan 2:20 Daniel said, "Let the name of God be blessed forever and ever, For wisdom and power belong to Him.(nasb) Dan 2:20 et locutus ait: Sit nomen Domini benedictum a saeculo et usque in saeculum: quia sapientia et fortitudo ejus sunt.(vulgate) Daniel 2:20 Y Daniel habló, y dijo: Sea bendito el nombre de Dios desde la eternidad hasta la eternidad; porque suya es la sabiduría y el poder.(E) Daniel 2:20 Daniel prit la parole et dit: Béni soit le nom de Dieu, d'éternité en éternité! A lui appartiennent la sagesse et la force.(F) Dan 2:20 Darüber lobte Dan el den Gott des Himmels, fing an und sprach: Gelobt sei der Name Gottes von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit! denn sein ist beides, Weisheit und Stärke.(D) Dan 2:20 καὶ ἐκφωνήσας εἶπεν ἔσται τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ κυρίου τοῦ μεγάλου εὐλογημένον εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα ὅτι ἡ σοφία καὶ ἡ μεγαλωσύνη αὐτοῦ ἐστι(lxx) Dan 2:20 Daniel answered and said: "Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, For wisdom and might are His.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 2:21 ============ Dan 2:21 "It is He who changes the times and the epochs; He removes kings and establishes kings; He gives wisdom to wise men And knowledge to men of understanding.(nasb) Dan 2:21 Et ipse mutat tempora, et aetates: transfert regna, atque constituit: dat sapientiam sapientibus, et scientiam intelligentibus disciplinam.(vulgate) Daniel 2:21 Y Él cambia los tiempos y las sazones; quita reyes, y pone reyes; da la sabiduría a los sabios, y la ciencia a los entendidos.(E) Daniel 2:21 C'est lui qui change les temps et les circonstances, qui renverse et qui établit les rois, qui donne la sagesse aux sages et la science à ceux qui ont de l'intelligence.(F) Dan 2:21 Er ändert Zeit und Stunde; er setzt Könige ab und setzt Könige ein; er gibt den Weisen ihre Weisheit und den Verständigen ihren Verstand;(D) Dan 2:21 καὶ αὐτὸς ἀλλοιοῖ καιροὺς καὶ χρόνους μεθιστῶν βασιλεῖς καὶ καθιστῶν διδοὺς σοφοῖς σοφίαν καὶ σύνεσιν τοῖς ἐν ἐπιστήμῃ οὖσιν(lxx) Dan 2:21 And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 2:22 ============ Dan 2:22 "It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, And the light dwells with Him.(nasb) Dan 2:22 Ipse revelat profunda et abscondita, et novit in tenebris constituta: et lux cum eo est.(vulgate) Daniel 2:22 Él revela lo profundo y lo escondido; conoce lo que [está] en tinieblas, y la luz mora con Él.(E) Daniel 2:22 Il révèle ce qui est profond et caché, il connaît ce qui est dans les ténèbres, et la lumière demeure avec lui.(F) Dan 2:22 er offenbart, was tief und verborgen ist; er weiß, was in der Finsternis liegt, denn bei ihm ist eitel Licht.(D) Dan 2:22 ἀνακαλύπτων τὰ βαθέα καὶ σκοτεινὰ καὶ γινώσκων τὰ ἐν τῷ σκότει καὶ τὰ ἐν τῷ φωτί καὶ παρ᾽ αὐτῷ κατάλυσις(lxx) Dan 2:22 He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, And light dwells with Him.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 2:23 ============ Dan 2:23 "To You, O God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise, For You have given me wisdom and power; Even now You have made known to me what we requested of You, For You have made known to us the king's matter."(nasb) Dan 2:23 Tibi, Deus patrum nostrorum, confiteor, teque laudo, quia sapientiam et fortitudinem dedisti mihi, et nunc ostendisti mihi quae rogavimus te, quia sermonem regis aperuisti nobis.(vulgate) Daniel 2:23 A ti, oh Dios de mis padres, te doy gracias y te alabo, que me diste sabiduría y fortaleza, y ahora me enseñaste lo que te pedimos; pues nos has enseñado el asunto del rey.(E) Daniel 2:23 Dieu de mes pères, je te glorifie et je te loue de ce que tu m'as donné la sagesse et la force, et de ce que tu m'as fait connaître ce que nous t'avons demandé, de ce que tu nous as révélé le secret du roi.(F) Dan 2:23 Ich danke dir und lobe dich, Gott meiner Väter, der du mir Weisheit und Stärke verleihst und jetzt offenbart hast, darum wir dich gebeten haben; denn du hast uns des Königs Sache offenbart.(D) Dan 2:23 σοί κύριε τῶν πατέρων μου ἐξομολογοῦμαι καὶ αἰνῶ ὅτι σοφίαν καὶ φρόνησιν ἔδωκάς μοι καὶ νῦν ἐσήμανάς μοι ὅσα ἠξίωσα τοῦ δηλῶσαι τῷ βασιλεῖ πρὸς ταῦτα(lxx) Dan 2:23 "I thank You and praise You, O God of my fathers; You have given me wisdom and might, And have now made known to me what we asked of You, For You have made known to us the king's demand."(nkjv) ======= Daniel 2:24 ============ Dan 2:24 Therefore, Daniel went in to Arioch, whom the king had appointed to destroy the wise men of Babylon; he went and spoke to him as follows. "Do not destroy the wise men of Babylon! Take me into the king's presence, and I will declare the interpretation to the king."(nasb) Dan 2:24 Post haec Daniel ingressus ad Arioch, quem constituerat rex ut perderet sapientes Babylonis, sic ei locutus est: Sapientes Babylonis ne perdas: introduc me in conspectu regis, et solutionem regi narrabo.(vulgate) Daniel 2:24 Después de esto Daniel entró a Arioc, al cual el rey había puesto para matar a los sabios de Babilonia; fue, y le dijo así: No mates a los sabios de Babilonia; llévame delante del rey, que yo mostraré al rey la interpretación.(E) Daniel 2:24 Après cela, Daniel se rendit auprès d'Arjoc, à qui le roi avait ordonné de faire périr les sages de Babylone; il alla, et lui parla ainsi: Ne fais pas périr les sages de Babylone! Conduis-moi devant le roi, et je donnerai au roi l'explication.(F) Dan 2:24 Da ging Dan el hinein zu Arioch, der vom König Befehl hatte, die Weisen zu Babel umzubringen, und sprach zu ihm also: Du sollst die Weisen zu Babel nicht umbringen, sondern führe mich hinein zum König, ich will dem König die Deutung sagen.(D) Dan 2:24 εἰσελθὼν δὲ Δανιηλ πρὸς τὸν Αριωχ τὸν κατασταθέντα ὑπὸ τοῦ βασιλέως ἀποκτεῖναι πάντας τοὺς σοφιστὰς τῆς Βαβυλωνίας εἶπεν αὐτῷ τοὺς μὲν σοφιστὰς τῆς Βαβυλωνίας μὴ ἀπολέσῃς εἰσάγαγε δέ με πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα καὶ ἕκαστα τῷ βασιλεῖ δηλώσω(lxx) Dan 2:24 Therefore Daniel went to Arioch, whom the king had appointed to destroy the wise men of Babylon. He went and said thus to him: "Do not destroy the wise men of Babylon; take me before the king, and I will tell the king the interpretation."(nkjv) ======= Daniel 2:25 ============ Dan 2:25 Then Arioch hurriedly brought Daniel into the king's presence and spoke to him as follows. "I have found a man among the exiles from Judah who can make the interpretation known to the king!"(nasb) Dan 2:25 Tunc Arioch festinus introduxit Danielem ad regem, et dixit ei: Inveni hominem de filiis transmigrationis Juda, qui solutionem regi annuntiet.(vulgate) Daniel 2:25 Entonces Arioc llevó prestamente a Daniel delante del rey, y le dijo así: He hallado a un varón de los cautivos de Judá, el cual declarará al rey la interpretación.(E) Daniel 2:25 Arjoc conduisit promptement Daniel devant le roi, et lui parla ainsi: J'ai trouvé parmi les captifs de Juda un homme qui donnera l'explication au roi.(F) Dan 2:25 Arioch brachte Dan el eilends hinein vor den König und sprach zu ihm also: Es ist einer gefunden unter den Gefangenen aus Juda, der dem König die Deutung sagen kann.(D) Dan 2:25 τότε Αριωχ κατὰ σπουδὴν εἰσήγαγεν τὸν Δανιηλ πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ ὅτι εὕρηκα ἄνθρωπον σοφὸν ἐκ τῆς αἰχμαλωσίας τῶν υἱῶν τῆς Ιουδαίας ὃς τῷ βασιλεῖ δηλώσει ἕκαστα(lxx) Dan 2:25 Then Arioch quickly brought Daniel before the king, and said thus to him, "I have found a man of the captives of Judah, who will make known to the king the interpretation."(nkjv) ======= Daniel 2:26 ============ Dan 2:26 The king said to Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, "Are you able to make known to me the dream which I have seen and its interpretation?"(nasb) Dan 2:26 Respondit rex, et dixit Danieli, cujus nomen erat Baltassar: Putasne vere potes mihi indicare somnium, quod vidi, et interpretationem ejus?(vulgate) Daniel 2:26 Respondió el rey, y dijo a Daniel, al cual llamaban Beltsasar: ¿Podrás tú hacerme entender el sueño que vi, y su interpretación?(E) Daniel 2:26 Le roi prit la parole et dit à Daniel, qu'on nommait Beltschatsar: Es-tu capable de me faire connaître le songe que j'ai eu et son explication?(F) Dan 2:26 Der König antwortete und sprach zu Dan el, den sie Beltsazar hießen: Bist du, der mir den Traum, den ich gesehen habe, und seine Deutung anzeigen kann?(D) Dan 2:26 ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ ὁ βασιλεὺς εἶπε τῷ Δανιηλ ἐπικαλουμένῳ δὲ Χαλδαϊστὶ Βαλτασαρ δυνήσῃ δηλῶσαί μοι τὸ ὅραμα ὃ εἶδον καὶ τὴν τούτου σύγκρισιν(lxx) Dan 2:26 The king answered and said to Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, "Are you able to make known to me the dream which I have seen, and its interpretation?"(nkjv) ======= Daniel 2:27 ============ Dan 2:27 Daniel answered before the king and said, "As for the mystery about which the king has inquired, neither wise men, conjurers, magicians nor diviners are able to declare it to the king.(nasb) Dan 2:27 Et respondens Daniel coram rege, ait: Mysterium, quod rex interrogat, sapientes, magi, arioli, et aruspices nequeunt indicare regi:(vulgate) Daniel 2:27 Daniel respondió delante del rey, y dijo: El misterio que el rey demanda, ni sabios, ni astrólogos, ni magos, ni adivinos lo pueden enseñar al rey.(E) Daniel 2:27 Daniel répondit en présence du roi et dit: Ce que le roi demande est un secret que les sages, les astrologues, les magiciens et les devins, ne sont pas capables de découvrir au roi.(F) Dan 2:27 Dan el fing an vor dem König und sprach: Das verborgene Ding, das der König fordert von den Weisen, Gelehrten, Sterndeutern und Wahrsagern, steht in ihrem Vermögen nicht, dem König zu sagen.(D) Dan 2:27 ἐκφωνήσας δὲ ὁ Δανιηλ ἐπὶ τοῦ βασιλέως εἶπεν τὸ μυστήριον ὃ ἑώρακεν ὁ βασιλεύς οὐκ ἔστι σοφῶν καὶ φαρμακῶν καὶ ἐπαοιδῶν καὶ γαζαρηνῶν ἡ δήλωσις(lxx) Dan 2:27 Daniel answered in the presence of the king, and said, "The secret which the king has demanded, the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, and the soothsayers cannot declare to the king.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 2:28 ============ Dan 2:28 However, there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries, and He has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what will take place in the latter days. This was your dream and the visions in your mind while on your bed.(nasb) Dan 2:28 sed est Deus in caelo revelans mysteria, qui indicavit tibi, rex Nabuchodonosor, quae ventura sunt in novissimis temporibus. Somnium tuum, et visiones capitis tui in cubili tuo hujuscemodi sunt.(vulgate) Daniel 2:28 Mas hay un Dios en el cielo, el cual revela los misterios, y Él ha hecho saber al rey Nabucodonosor lo que ha de acontecer en los postreros días. Your dream, and the visions of your head upon your bed, were these:(nkjv) ======= Daniel 2:29 ============ Dan 2:29 As for you, O king, while on your bed your thoughts turned to what would take place in the future; and He who reveals mysteries has made known to you what will take place.(nasb) Dan 2:29 Tu, rex, cogitare coepisti in strato tuo, quid esset futurum post haec: et qui revelat mysteria, ostendit tibi quae ventura sunt.(vulgate) Daniel 2:29 Estando tú, oh rey, en tu cama subieron tus pensamientos por saber lo que había de suceder en lo por venir; y el que revela los misterios te mostró lo que ha de suceder.(E) Daniel 2:29 Sur ta couche, ô roi, il t'est monté des pensées touchant ce qui sera après ce temps-ci; et celui qui révèle les secrets t'a fait connaître ce qui arrivera.(F) Dan 2:29 Mit deinem Traum und deinem Gesichten, da du schliefest, verhielt sich's also: Du, König, dachtest auf deinem Bette, wie es doch hernach zugehen würde; und der, so verborgene Dinge offenbart, hat dir angezeigt, wie es gehen werde.(D) Dan 2:29 σύ βασιλεῦ κατακλιθεὶς ἐπὶ τῆς κοίτης σου ἑώρακας πάντα ὅσα δεῖ γενέσθαι ἐπ᾽ ἐσχάτων τῶν ἡμερῶν καὶ ὁ ἀνακαλύπτων μυστήρια ἐδήλωσέ σοι ἃ δεῖ γενέσθαι(lxx) Dan 2:29 As for you, O king, thoughts came to your mind while on your bed, about what would come to pass after this; and He who reveals secrets has made known to you what will be.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 2:30 ============ Dan 2:30 But as for me, this mystery has not been revealed to me for any wisdom residing in me more than in any other living man, but for the purpose of making the interpretation known to the king, and that you may understand the thoughts of your mind.(nasb) Dan 2:30 Mihi quoque non in sapientia, quae est in me plus quam in cunctis viventibus, sacramentum hoc revelatum est: sed ut interpretatio regi manifesta fieret, et cogitationes mentis tuae scires.(vulgate) Daniel 2:30 Y a mí me ha sido revelado este misterio, no porque en mí haya más sabiduría que en todos los vivientes, sino por aquellos que debían hacer saber al rey la interpretación, y para que tú entendieses los pensamientos de tu corazón.(E) Daniel 2:30 Si ce secret m'a été révélé, ce n'est point qu'il y ait en moi une sagesse supérieure à celle de tous les vivants; mais c'est afin que l'explication soit donnée au roi, et que tu connaisses les pensées de ton coeur.(F) Dan 2:30 So ist mir solch verborgenes Ding offenbart, nicht durch meine Weisheit, als wäre sie größer denn aller, die da leben; sondern darum, daß dem König die Deutung angezeigt würde und du deines Herzens Gedanken erführest.(D) Dan 2:30 κἀμοὶ δὲ οὐ παρὰ τὴν σοφίαν τὴν οὖσαν ἐν ἐμοὶ ὑπὲρ πάντας τοὺς ἀνθρώπους τὸ μυστήριον τοῦτο ἐξεφάνθη ἀλλ᾽ ἕνεκεν τοῦ δηλωθῆναι τῷ βασιλεῖ ἐσημάνθη μοι ἃ ὑπέλαβες τῇ καρδίᾳ σου ἐν γνώσει(lxx) Dan 2:30 But as for me, this secret has not been revealed to me because I have more wisdom than anyone living, but for our sakes who make known the interpretation to the king, and that you may know the thoughts of your heart.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 2:31 ============ Dan 2:31 "You, O king, were looking and behold, there was a single great statue; that statue, which was large and of extraordinary splendor, was standing in front of you, and its appearance was awesome.(nasb) Dan 2:31 Tu, rex, videbas, et ecce quasi statua una grandis: statua illa magna, et statura sublimis stabat contra te, et intuitus ejus erat terribilis.(vulgate) Daniel 2:31 Tú, oh rey, veías, y he aquí una gran imagen. but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay.(nkjv) ======= Daniel 2:44 ============ Dan 2:44 In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed, and that kingdom will not be left for another people;
