God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 46:2 ============ Psa 46:2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change And though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea;(nas) Psa 46:2 ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν καταφυγὴ καὶ δύναμις βοηθὸς ἐν θλίψεσιν ταῖς εὑρούσαις ἡμᾶς σφόδρα (lxx) Psa 46:2 [Vulgate 45:3] ideo non timebimus cum fuerit translata terra et concussi montes in corde maris(vulgate) 3 ׃46 עַל־כֵּ֣ן לֹא־נִ֭ירָא בְּהָמִ֣יר אָ֑רֶץ וּבְמ֥וֹט הָ֝רִ֗ים בְּלֵ֣ב יַמִּֽים׃ Psalms Psa 46:2 Darum fürchten wir uns nicht, wenngleich die Welt unterginge und die Berge mitten ins Meer sänken,(dhs) Psa 46:2 Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;(nkjv) ======= Psalm 46:3 ============ Psa 46:3 Though its waters roar and foam, Though the mountains quake at its swelling pride. Selah.(nas) Psa 46:3 διὰ τοῦτο οὐ φοβηθησόμεθα ἐν τῷ ταράσσεσθαι τὴν γῆν καὶ μετατίθεσθαι ὄρη ἐν καρδίαις θαλασσῶν (lxx) Psa 46:3 [Vulgate 45:4] sonantibus et intumescentibus gurgitibus eius et agitatis montibus in potentia eius semper(vulgate) 4 ׃46 יֶהֱמ֣וּ יֶחְמְר֣וּ מֵימָ֑יו יִֽרְעֲשֽׁוּ־הָרִ֖ים בְּגַאֲוָת֣וֹ סֶֽלָה׃ Psalms Psa 46:3 wenngleich das Meer wütete und wallte und von seinem Ungestüm die Berge einfielen. Selah(nkjv) ======= Psalm 46:4 ============ Psa 46:4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, The holy dwelling places of the Most High.(nas) Psa 46:4 ἤχησαν καὶ ἐταράχθησαν τὰ ὕδατα αὐτῶν ἐταράχθησαν τὰ ὄρη ἐν τῇ κραταιότητι αὐτοῦ διάψαλμα (lxx) Psa 46:4 [Vulgate 45:5] fluminis divisiones laetificant civitatem Dei sanctum tabernaculum Altissimi(vulgate) 5 ׃46 נָהָ֗ר פְּלָגָ֗יו יְשַׂמְּח֥וּ עִיר־אֱלֹהִ֑ים קְ֝דֹ֗שׁ מִשְׁכְּנֵ֥י עֶלְיֽוֹן׃ Psalms Psa 46:4 Dennoch soll die Stadt Gottes fein lustig bleiben mit ihren Brünnlein, da die heiligen Wohnungen des Höchsten sind.(dhs) Psa 46:4 There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 46:5 ============ Psa 46:5 God is in the midst of her, she will not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.(nas) Psa 46:5 τοῦ ποταμοῦ τὰ ὁρμήματα εὐφραίνουσιν τὴν πόλιν τοῦ θεοῦ ἡγίασεν τὸ σκήνωμα αὐτοῦ ὁ ὕψιστος (lxx) Psa 46:5 [Vulgate 45:6] Dominus in medio eius non commovebitur auxiliabitur ei Deus in ipso ortu matutino(vulgate) 6 ׃46 אֱלֹהִ֣ים בְּ֭קִרְבָּה בַּל־תִּמּ֑וֹט יַעְזְרֶ֥הָ אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים לִפְנ֥וֹת בֹּֽקֶר׃ Psalms Psa 46:5 Gott ist bei ihr drinnen, darum wird sie fest bleiben; Gott hilft ihr früh am Morgen.(dhs) Psa 46:5 God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 46:6 ============ Psa 46:6 The nations made an uproar, the kingdoms tottered; He raised His voice, the earth melted.(nas) Psa 46:6 ὁ θεὸς ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῆς οὐ σαλευθήσεται βοηθήσει αὐτῇ ὁ θεὸς τὸ πρὸς πρωί (lxx) Psa 46:6 [Vulgate 45:7] conturbatae sunt gentes concussa sunt regna dedit vocem suam prostrata est terra(vulgate) 7 ׃46 הָמ֣וּ ג֭וֹיִם מָ֣טוּ מַמְלָכ֑וֹת נָתַ֥ן בְּ֝קוֹל֗וֹ תָּמ֥וּג אָֽרֶץ׃ Psalms Psa 46:6 Die Heiden müssen verzagen und die Königreiche fallen; das Erdreich muß vergehen, wenn er sich hören läßt.(dhs) Psa 46:6 The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 46:7 ============ Psa 46:7 The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah.(nas) Psa 46:7 ἐταράχθησαν ἔθνη ἔκλιναν βασιλεῖαι ἔδωκεν φωνὴν αὐτοῦ ἐσαλεύθη ἡ γῆ (lxx) Psa 46:7 [Vulgate 45:8] Dominus exercituum nobiscum protector noster Deus Iacob semper(vulgate) 8 ׃46 יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֣וֹת עִמָּ֑נוּ מִשְׂגָּֽב־לָ֝נוּ אֱלֹהֵ֖י יַעֲקֹ֣ב סֶֽלָה׃ Psalms Psa 46:7 Der HERR Zebaoth ist mit uns; der Gott Jakobs ist unser Schutz. Selah(nkjv) ======= Psalm 46:8 ============ Psa 46:8 Come, behold the works of the Lord, Who has wrought desolations in the earth.(nas) Psa 46:8 κύριος τῶν δυνάμεων μεθ᾽ ἡμῶν ἀντιλήμπτωρ ἡμῶν ὁ θεὸς Ιακωβ διάψαλμα (lxx) Psa 46:8 [Vulgate 45:9] venite et videte opera Domini quantas posuerit solitudines in terra(vulgate) 9 ׃46 לְֽכוּ־חֲ֭זוּ מִפְעֲל֣וֹת יְהוָ֑ה אֲשֶׁר־שָׂ֖ם שַׁמּ֣וֹת בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ Psalms Psa 46:8 Kommet her und schauet die Werke des HERRN, der auf Erden solch zerstören anrichtet,(dhs) Psa 46:8 Come, behold the works of the Lord, Who has made desolations in the earth.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 46:9 ============ Psa 46:9 He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariots with fire.(nas) Psa 46:9 δεῦτε ἴδετε τὰ ἔργα κυρίου ἃ ἔθετο τέρατα ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς (lxx) Psa 46:9 [Vulgate 45:10] conpescuit bella usque ad extremum terrae arcum confringet et concidet hastam plaustra conburet igni(vulgate) 10 ׃46 מַשְׁבִּ֥ית מִלְחָמוֹת֮ עַד־קְצֵ֢ה הָ֫אָ֥רֶץ קֶ֣שֶׁת יְ֭שַׁבֵּר וְקִצֵּ֣ץ חֲנִ֑ית עֲ֝גָל֗וֹת יִשְׂרֹ֥ף בָּאֵֽשׁ׃ Psalms Psa 46:9 der den Kriegen steuert in aller Welt, den Bogen zerbricht, Spieße zerschlägt und Wagen mit Feuer verbrennt.(dhs) Psa 46:9 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariot in the fire.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 46:10 ============ Psa 46:10 "Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. "(nas) Psa 46:10 ἀνταναιρῶν πολέμους μέχρι τῶν περάτων τῆς γῆς τόξον συντρίψει καὶ συγκλάσει ὅπλον καὶ θυρεοὺς κατακαύσει ἐν πυρί (lxx) Psa 46:10 [Vulgate 45:11] cessate et cognoscite quoniam ego sum Deus exaltabor in gentibus exaltabor in terra(vulgate) 11 ׃46 הַרְפּ֣וּ וּ֭דְעוּ כִּי־אָנֹכִ֣י אֱלֹהִ֑ים אָר֥וּם בַּ֝גּוֹיִ֗ם אָר֥וּם בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ Psalms Psa 46:10 Seid stille und erkennet, daß ich GOTT bin.
