Answer me in Your faithfulness, in Your righteousness!(nas) Psa 143:1 ψαλμὸς τῷ Δαυιδ ὅτε αὐτὸν ὁ υἱὸς καταδιώκει κύριε εἰσάκουσον τῆς προσευχῆς μου ἐνώτισαι τὴν δέησίν μου ἐν τῇ ἀληθείᾳ σου ἐπάκουσόν μου ἐν τῇ δικαιοσύνῃ σου (lxx) Psa 143:1 [Vulgate 142:1] canticum David Domine exaudi orationem meam ausculta deprecationem meam in veritate tua exaudi me in iustitia tua(vulgate) 1 ׃143 מִזְמ֗וֹר לְדָ֫וִ֥ד יְהוָ֤ה ׀ שְׁמַ֬ע תְּפִלָּתִ֗י הַאֲזִ֥ינָה אֶל־תַּחֲנוּנַ֑י בֶּאֱמֻנָתְךָ֥ עֲ֝נֵ֗נִי בְּצִדְקָתֶֽךָ׃ Psalms Psa 143:1 (Ein Psa lm Davids.) HERR, erhöre mein Gebet, vernimm mein Flehen um deiner Wahrheit willen, erhöre mich um deiner Gerechtigkeit willen(dhs) Psa 143:1 A Psalm of David. In Your faithfulness answer me, And in Your righteousness.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 143:2 ============ Psa 143:2 And do not enter into judgment with Your servant, For in Your sight no man living is righteous.(nas) Psa 143:2 καὶ μὴ εἰσέλθῃς εἰς κρίσιν μετὰ τοῦ δούλου σου ὅτι οὐ δικαιωθήσεται ἐνώπιόν σου πᾶς ζῶν (lxx) Psa 143:2 [Vulgate 142:2] et non venias ad iudicandum cum servo tuo quia non iustificabitur in conspectu tuo omnis vivens(vulgate) 2 ׃143 וְאַל־תָּב֣וֹא בְ֭מִשְׁפָּט אֶת־עַבְדֶּ֑ךָ כִּ֤י לֹֽא־יִצְדַּ֖ק לְפָנֶ֣יךָ כָל־חָֽי׃ Psalms Psa 143:2 und gehe nicht ins Gericht mit deinem Knechte; denn vor dir ist kein Lebendiger gerecht.(dhs) Psa 143:2 Do not enter into judgment with Your servant, For in Your sight no one living is righteous.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 143:3 ============ Psa 143:3 For the enemy has persecuted my soul; He has crushed my life to the ground; He has made me dwell in dark places, like those who have long been dead.(nas) Psa 143:3 ὅτι κατεδίωξεν ὁ ἐχθρὸς τὴν ψυχήν μου ἐταπείνωσεν εἰς γῆν τὴν ζωήν μου ἐκάθισέν με ἐν σκοτεινοῖς ὡς νεκροὺς αἰῶνος (lxx) Psa 143:3 [Vulgate 142:3] persecutus est enim inimicus animam meam confregit in terra vitam meam posuit me in tenebris quasi mortuos antiquos(vulgate) 3 ׃143 כִּ֥י רָ֘דַ֤ף אוֹיֵ֨ב ׀ נַפְשִׁ֗י דִּכָּ֣א לָ֭אָרֶץ חַיָּתִ֑י הוֹשִׁיבַ֥נִי בְ֝מַחֲשַׁכִּ֗ים כְּמֵתֵ֥י עוֹלָֽם׃ Psalms Psa 143:3 Denn der Feind verfolgt meine Seele und schlägt mein Leben zu Boden; er legt mich ins Finstere wie die, so längst tot sind.(dhs) Psa 143:3 For the enemy has persecuted my soul; He has crushed my life to the ground; He has made me dwell in darkness, Like those who have long been dead.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 143:4 ============ Psa 143:4 Therefore my spirit is overwhelmed within me; My heart is appalled within me.(nas) Psa 143:4 καὶ ἠκηδίασεν ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ τὸ πνεῦμά μου ἐν ἐμοὶ ἐταράχθη ἡ καρδία μου (lxx) Psa 143:4 [Vulgate 142:4] et anxius fuit in me spiritus meus in medio mei sollicitum fuit cor meum(vulgate) 4 ׃143 וַתִּתְעַטֵּ֣ף עָלַ֣י רוּחִ֑י בְּ֝תוֹכִ֗י יִשְׁתּוֹמֵ֥ם לִבִּֽי׃ Psalms Psa 143:4 Und mein Geist ist in mir geängstet; mein Herz ist mir in meinem Leibe verzehrt.(dhs) Psa 143:4 Therefore my spirit is overwhelmed within me; My heart within me is distressed.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 143:5 ============ Psa 143:5 I remember the days of old; I meditate on all Your doings; I muse on the work of Your hands.(nas) Psa 143:5 ἐμνήσθην ἡμερῶν ἀρχαίων καὶ ἐμελέτησα ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς ἔργοις σου ἐν ποιήμασιν τῶν χειρῶν σου ἐμελέτων (lxx) Psa 143:5 [Vulgate 142:5] recordabar dierum antiquorum meditabar omnia opera tua facta manuum tuarum loquebar(vulgate) 5 ׃143 זָ֘כַ֤רְתִּי יָמִ֨ים ׀ מִקֶּ֗דֶם הָגִ֥יתִי בְכָל־פָּעֳלֶ֑ךָ בְּֽמַעֲשֵׂ֖ה יָדֶ֣יךָ אֲשׂוֹחֵֽחַ׃ Psalms Psa 143:5 Ich gedenke an die vorigen Zeiten; ich rede von allen deinen Taten und sage von den Werken deiner Hände.(dhs) Psa 143:5 I remember the days of old; I meditate on all Your works; I muse on the work of Your hands.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 143:6 ============ Psa 143:6 I stretch out my hands to You; My soul longs for You, as a parched land. Selah.(nas) Psa 143:6 διεπέτασα τὰς χεῖράς μου πρὸς σέ ἡ ψυχή μου ὡς γῆ ἄνυδρός σοι διάψαλμα (lxx) Psa 143:6 [Vulgate 142:6] expandi manus meas ad te anima mea quasi terra sitiens ad te semper(vulgate) 6 ׃143 פֵּרַ֣שְׂתִּי יָדַ֣י אֵלֶ֑יךָ נַפְשִׁ֓י ׀ כְּאֶֽרֶץ־עֲיֵפָ֖ה לְךָ֣ סֶֽלָה׃ Psalms Psa 143:6 Ich breite meine Hände aus zu dir; meine Seele dürstet nach dir wie ein dürres Land. Selah(nkjv) ======= Psalm 143:7 ============ Psa 143:7 Answer me quickly, O Lord, my spirit fails; Do not hide Your face from me, Or I will become like those who go down to the pit.(nas) Psa 143:7 ταχὺ εἰσάκουσόν μου κύριε ἐξέλιπεν τὸ πνεῦμά μου μὴ ἀποστρέψῃς τὸ πρόσωπόν σου ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ καὶ ὁμοιωθήσομαι τοῖς καταβαίνουσιν εἰς λάκκον (lxx) Psa 143:7 [Vulgate 142:7] cito exaudi me Domine defecit spiritus meus ne abscondas faciem tuam a me et conparabor descendentibus in lacum(vulgate) 7 ׃143 מַ֘הֵ֤ר עֲנֵ֨נִי ׀ יְהוָה֮ כָּלְתָ֢ה ר֫וּחִ֥י אַל־תַּסְתֵּ֣ר פָּנֶ֣יךָ מִמֶּ֑נִּי וְ֝נִמְשַׁ֗לְתִּי עִם־יֹ֥רְדֵי בֽוֹר׃ Psalms Psa 143:7 HERR, erhöre mich bald, mein Geist vergeht; verbirg dein Antlitz nicht von mir, daß ich nicht gleich werde denen, die in die Grube fahren.(dhs) Psa 143:7 Answer me speedily, O Lord; My spirit fails! Do not hide Your face from me, Lest I be like those who go down into the pit.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 143:8 ============ Psa 143:8 Let me hear Your lovingkindness in the morning; For I trust in You; Teach me the way in which I should walk; For to You I lift up my soul.(nas) Psa 143:8 ἀκουστὸν ποίησόν μοι τὸ πρωὶ τὸ ἔλεός σου ὅτι ἐπὶ σοὶ ἤλπισα γνώρισόν μοι κύριε ὁδὸν ἐν ᾗ πορεύσομαι ὅτι πρὸς σὲ ἦρα τὴν ψυχήν μου (lxx) Psa 143:8 [Vulgate 142:8] fac me audire mane misericordiam tuam quoniam in te confido notam fac mihi viam in qua ambulo quoniam ad te levavi animam meam(vulgate) 8 ׃143 הַשְׁמִ֘יעֵ֤נִי בַבֹּ֨קֶר ׀ חַסְדֶּךָ֮ כִּֽי־בְךָ֢ בָ֫טָ֥חְתִּי הוֹדִיעֵ֗נִי דֶּֽרֶךְ־ז֥וּ אֵלֵ֑ךְ כִּֽי־אֵ֝לֶיךָ נָשָׂ֥אתִי נַפְשִֽׁי׃ Psalms Psa 143:8 Laß mich frühe hören deine Gnade; denn ich hoffe auf dich. Tue mir kund den Weg, darauf ich gehen soll; denn mich verlangt nach dir.(dhs) Psa 143:8 Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, For in You do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, For I lift up my soul to You.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 143:9 ============ Psa 143:9 Deliver me, O Lord, from my enemies; I take refuge in You.(nas) Psa 143:9 ἐξελοῦ με ἐκ τῶν ἐχθρῶν μου κύριε ὅτι πρὸς σὲ κατέφυγον (lxx) Psa 143:9 [Vulgate 142:9] libera me de inimicis meis Domine a te protectus sum(vulgate) 9 ׃143 הַצִּילֵ֖נִי מֵאֹיְבַ֥י ׀ יְהוָ֗ה אֵלֶ֥יךָ כִסִּֽתִי׃ Psalms Psa 143:9 Errette mich, mein Gott, von meinen Feinden; zu dir habe ich Zuflucht.(dhs) Psa 143:9 Deliver me, O Lord, from my enemies; In You I take shelter.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 143:10 ============ Psa 143:10 Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground.(nas) Psa 143:10 δίδαξόν με τοῦ ποιεῖν τὸ θέλημά σου ὅτι σὺ εἶ ὁ θεός μου τὸ πνεῦμά σου τὸ ἀγαθὸν ὁδηγήσει με ἐν γῇ εὐθείᾳ (lxx) Psa 143:10 [Vulgate 142:10] doce me ut faciam voluntatem tuam quia tu Deus meus spiritus tuus bonus deducet me in terra recta(vulgate) 10 ׃143 לַמְּדֵ֤נִי ׀ לַֽעֲשׂ֣וֹת רְצוֹנֶךָ֮ כִּֽי־אַתָּ֢ה אֱל֫וֹהָ֥י רוּחֲךָ֥ טוֹבָ֑ה תַּ֝נְחֵ֗נִי בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִישֽׁוֹר׃ Psalms Psa 143:10 Lehre mich tun nach deinem Wohlgefallen, denn du bist mein Gott; dein guter Geist führe mich auf ebener Bahn.(dhs) Psa 143:10 Teach me to do Your will, For You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 143:11 ============ Psa 143:11 For the sake of Your name, O Lord, revive me. In Your righteousness bring my soul out of trouble.(nas) Psa 143:11 ἕνεκα τοῦ ὀνόματός σου κύριε ζήσεις με ἐν τῇ δικαιοσύνῃ σου ἐξάξεις ἐκ θλίψεως τὴν ψυχήν μου (lxx) Psa 143:11 [Vulgate 142:11] propter nomen tuum Domine vivificabis me in iustitia tua educes de angustia animam meam(vulgate) 11 ׃143 לְמַֽעַן־שִׁמְךָ֣ יְהוָ֣ה תְּחַיֵּ֑נִי בְּצִדְקָתְךָ֓ ׀ תּוֹצִ֖יא מִצָּרָ֣ה נַפְשִֽׁי׃ Psalms Psa 143:11 HERR, erquicke mich um deines Namens willen; führe meine Seele aus der Not um deiner Gerechtigkeit willen(dhs) Psa 143:11 Revive me, O Lord, for Your name's sake! For Your righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 143:12 ============ Psa 143:12 And in Your lovingkindness, cut off my enemies And destroy all those who afflict my soul, For I am Your servant.(nas) Psa 143:12 καὶ ἐν τῷ ἐλέει σου ἐξολεθρεύσεις τοὺς ἐχθρούς μου καὶ ἀπολεῖς πάντας τοὺς θλίβοντας τὴν ψυχήν μου ὅτι δοῦλός σού εἰμι ἐγώ (lxx) Psa 143:12 [Vulgate 142:12] et in misericordia tua dissipabis inimicos meos et perdes omnes ligantes animam meam ego enim sum servus tuus(vulgate) 12 ׃143 וּֽבְחַסְדְּךָ֮ תַּצְמִ֢ית אֹ֫יְבָ֥י וְֽ֭הַאֲבַדְתָּ כָּל־צֹרֲרֵ֣י נַפְשִׁ֑י כִּ֝֗י אֲנִ֣י עַבְדֶּֽךָ׃ Psalms Psa 143:12 und verstöre meine Feinde um deiner Güte willen und bringe alle um, die meine Seele ängsten; denn ich bin dein Knecht.(dhs) Psa 143:12 In Your mercy cut off my enemies, And destroy all those who afflict my soul; For I am Your servant.(nkjv) ======= Psalm 144:1 ============ top of the page
