(nas) Gen 28:9 καὶ ἐπορεύθη Ησαυ πρὸς Ισμαηλ καὶ ἔλαβεν τὴν Μαελεθ θυγατέρα Ισμαηλ τοῦ υἱοῦ Αβρααμ ἀδελφὴν Ναβαιωθ πρὸς ταῖς γυναιξὶν αὐτοῦ γυναῖκα (lxx) Gen 28:9 ivit ad Ismaëlem, et duxit uxorem absque iis, quas prius habebat, Maheleth filiam Ismaël filii Abraham, sororem Nabaioth.~(vulgate) Genesis 28:9 Then went Esau to Ishmael, & tooke vnto the wiues, which he had, Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael Abrahams sonne, the sister of Nabaioth, to be his wife.(Geneva) Gen 28:9 ging er hin zu Ismael und nahm zu den Weibern, die er zuvor hatte, Mahalath, die Tochter Ismaels, des Sohnes Abrahams, die Schwester Nebajoths, zum Weibe.(dhs) Gen 28:9 So Esau went to Ishmael and took Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael, Abraham's son, the sister of Nebajoth, to be his wife in addition to the wives he had.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 28:10 ============ Gen 28:10 Then Jacob departed from Beersheba and went toward Haran.(nas) Gen 28:10 καὶ ἐξῆλθεν Ιακωβ ἀπὸ τοῦ φρέατος τοῦ ὅρκου καὶ ἐπορεύθη εἰς Χαρραν (lxx) Gen 28:10 Igitur egressus Jacob de Bersabee, pergebat Haran.(vulgate) Genesis 28:10 Now Iaakob departed from Beer-sheba, and went to Haran,(Geneva) Gen 28:10 Aber Jakob zog aus von Beer-Seba und reiste gen Haran(dhs) Gen 28:10 Now Jacob went out from Beersheba and went toward Haran.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 28:11 ============ Gen 28:11 He came to a certain place and spent the night there, because the sun had set; and he took one of the stones of the place and put it under his head, and lay down in that place.(nas) Gen 28:11 καὶ ἀπήντησεν τόπῳ καὶ ἐκοιμήθη ἐκεῖ ἔδυ γὰρ ὁ ἥλιος καὶ ἔλαβεν ἀπὸ τῶν λίθων τοῦ τόπου καὶ ἔθηκεν πρὸς κεφαλῆς αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐκοιμήθη ἐν τῷ τόπῳ ἐκείνῳ (lxx) Gen 28:11 Cumque venisset ad quemdam locum, et vellet in eo requiescere post solis occubitum, tulit de lapidibus qui jacebant, et supponens capiti suo, dormivit in eodem loco.(vulgate) Genesis 28:11 And he came vnto a certaine place, and taried there al night, because the sunne was downe, and tooke of the stones of the place, and layde vnder his head and slept in the same place.(Geneva) Gen 28:11 und kam an einen Ort, da blieb er über Nacht; denn die Sonne war untergegangen. And he took one of the stones of that place and put it at his head, and he lay down in that place to sleep.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 28:12 ============ Gen 28:12 He had a dream, and behold, a ladder was set on the earth with its top reaching to heaven; and behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.(nas) Gen 28:12 καὶ ἐνυπνιάσθη καὶ ἰδοὺ κλίμαξ ἐστηριγμένη ἐν τῇ γῇ ἧς ἡ κεφαλὴ ἀφικνεῖτο εἰς τὸν οὐρανόν καὶ οἱ ἄγγελοι τοῦ θεοῦ ἀνέβαινον καὶ κατέβαινον ἐπ᾽ αὐτῆς (lxx) Gen 28:12 Viditque in somnis scalam stantem super terram, et cacumen illius tangens cælum: angelos quoque Dei ascendentes et descendentes per eam,(vulgate) Genesis 28:12 Then he dreamed, & behold, there stoode a ladder vpon the earth, and the top of it reached vp to heauen: and loe, the Angels of God went vp and downe by it.(Geneva) Gen 28:12 Und ihm träumte; und siehe, eine Leiter stand auf der Erde, die rührte mit der Spitze an den Himmel, und siehe, die Engel Gottes stiegen daran auf und nieder;(dhs) Gen 28:12 Then he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and its top reached to heaven; and there the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 28:13 ============ Gen 28:13 And behold, the Lord stood above it and said, "I am the Lord, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie, I will give it to you and to your descendants.(nas) Gen 28:13 ὁ δὲ κύριος ἐπεστήρικτο ἐπ᾽ αὐτῆς καὶ εἶπεν ἐγὼ κύριος ὁ θεὸς Αβρααμ τοῦ πατρός σου καὶ ὁ θεὸς Ισαακ μὴ φοβοῦ ἡ γῆ ἐφ᾽ ἧς σὺ καθεύδεις ἐπ᾽ αὐτῆς σοὶ δώσω αὐτὴν καὶ τῷ σπέρματί σου (lxx) Gen 28:13 et Dominum innixum scalæ dicentem sibi: Ego sum Dominus Deus Abraham patris tui, et Deus Isaac: terram, in qua dormis, tibi dabo et semini tuo.(vulgate) Genesis 28:13 And behold, the Lord stoode aboue it, & sayd, I am the Lord God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Izhak: the land, vpon the which thou sleepest, wil I giue thee and thy seede.(Geneva) Gen 28:13 und der HERR stand obendarauf und sprach: Ich bin der HERR, Abrahams, deines Vaters, Gott und Isaaks Gott; das Land darauf du liegst, will ich dir und deinem Samen geben.(dhs) Gen 28:13 And behold, the Lord stood above it and said: "I am the Lord God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 28:14 ============ Gen 28:14 Your descendants will also be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out to the west and to the east and to the north and to the south; and in you and in your descendants shall all the families of the earth be blessed.(nas) Gen 28:14 καὶ ἔσται τὸ σπέρμα σου ὡς ἡ ἄμμος τῆς γῆς καὶ πλατυνθήσεται ἐπὶ θάλασσαν καὶ ἐπὶ λίβα καὶ ἐπὶ βορρᾶν καὶ ἐπ᾽ ἀνατολάς καὶ ἐνευλογηθήσονται ἐν σοὶ πᾶσαι αἱ φυλαὶ τῆς γῆς καὶ ἐν τῷ σπέρματί σου (lxx) Gen 28:14 Eritque semen tuum quasi pulvis terræ: dilataberis ad occidentem, et orientem, et septentrionem, et meridiem: et benedicentur in te et in semine tuo cunctæ tribus terræ.(vulgate) Genesis 28:14 And thy seede shall be as the dust of the earth, & thou shalt spread abroad to the West, and to the East, & to the North, & to the South, and in thee and in thy seede shall all the families of the earth be blessed.(Geneva) Gen 28:14 Und dein Same soll werden wie der Staub auf Erden, und du sollst ausgebreitet werden gegen Abend, Morgen, Mitternacht und Mittag; und durch dich und deinen Samen sollen alle Geschlechter auf Erden gesegnet werden.(dhs) Gen 28:14 Also your descendants shall be as the dust of the earth; you shall spread abroad to the west and the east, to the north and the south; and in you and in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 28:15 ============ Gen 28:15 Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you."(nas) Gen 28:15 καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ μετὰ σοῦ διαφυλάσσων σε ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ πάσῃ οὗ ἐὰν πορευθῇς καὶ ἀποστρέψω σε εἰς τὴν γῆν ταύτην ὅτι οὐ μή σε ἐγκαταλίπω ἕως τοῦ ποιῆσαί με πάντα ὅσα ἐλάλησά σοι (lxx) Gen 28:15 Et ero custos tuus quocumque perrexeris, et reducam te in terram hanc: nec dimittam nisi complevero universa quæ dixi.(vulgate) Genesis 28:15 And lo, I am with thee, and wil keepe thee whithersoeuer thou goest, and will bring thee againe into this lande: for I will not forsake thee vntill I haue performed that, that I haue promised thee.(Geneva) Gen 28:15 Und siehe, ich bin mit dir und will dich behüten, wo du hin ziehst, und will dich wieder herbringen in dies Land. Denn ich will dich nicht lassen, bis daß ich tue alles, was ich dir geredet habe.(dhs) Gen 28:15 Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you."(nkjv) ======= Genesis 28:16 ============ Gen 28:16 Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, "Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it."(nas) Gen 28:16 καὶ ἐξηγέρθη Ιακωβ ἀπὸ τοῦ ὕπνου αὐτοῦ καὶ εἶπεν ὅτι ἔστιν κύριος ἐν τῷ τόπῳ τούτῳ ἐγὼ δὲ οὐκ ᾔδειν (lxx) Gen 28:16 Cumque evigilasset Jacob de somno, ait: Vere Dominus est in loco isto, et ego nesciebam.(vulgate) Genesis 28:16 Then Iaakob awoke out of his sleepe, & sayde, Surely the Lorde is in this place, and I was not aware.(Geneva) Gen 28:16 Da nun Jakob von seinem Schlaf aufwachte, sprach er: Gewiß ist der HERR an diesem Ort, und ich wußte es nicht;(dhs) Gen 28:16 Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, "Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it."(nkjv) ======= Genesis 28:17 ============ Gen 28:17 He was afraid and said, "How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven."(nas) Gen 28:17 καὶ ἐφοβήθη καὶ εἶπεν ὡς φοβερὸς ὁ τόπος οὗτος οὐκ ἔστιν τοῦτο ἀλλ᾽ ἢ οἶκος θεοῦ καὶ αὕτη ἡ πύλη τοῦ οὐρανοῦ (lxx) Gen 28:17 Pavensque, Quam terribilis est, inquit, locus iste! non est hic aliud nisi domus Dei, et porta cæli.(vulgate) Genesis 28:17 And he was afraid, & said, How fearefull is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heauen.(Geneva) Gen 28:17 und fürchtete sich und sprach: Wie heilig ist diese Stätte! Hier ist nichts anderes als Gottes Haus, und hier ist die Pforte des Himmels.(dhs) Gen 28:17 And he was afraid and said, "How awesome is this place!
