Præcipe filiis Israël, ut adducant ad te vaccam rufam ætatis integræ, in qua nulla sit macula, nec portaverit jugum:(vulgate) Numbers 19:2 This is the ordinance of the lawe, which the Lorde hath commanded, saying, Speake vnto the children of Israel that they bring thee a red kowe without blemish, wherein is no spot, vpon the which neuer came yoke.(Geneva) Num 19:2 Diese Weise soll ein Gesetz sein, das der HERR geboten hat und gesagt: Sage den Kindern Israel, daß sie zu dir führen ein rötliche Kuh ohne Gebrechen, an der kein Fehl sei und auf die noch nie ein Joch gekommen ist.(dhs) Num 19:2 "This is the ordinance of the law which the Lord has commanded, saying: 'Speak to the children of Israel, that they bring you a red heifer without blemish, in which there is no defect and on which a yoke has never come.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 19:3 ============ Num 19:3 You shall give it to Eleazar the priest, and it shall be brought outside the camp and be slaughtered in his presence.(nas) Num 19:3 καὶ δώσεις αὐτὴν πρὸς Ελεαζαρ τὸν ἱερέα καὶ ἐξάξουσιν αὐτὴν ἔξω τῆς παρεμβολῆς εἰς τόπον καθαρὸν καὶ σφάξουσιν αὐτὴν ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ (lxx) Num 19:3 tradetisque eam Eleazaro sacerdoti, qui eductam extra castra, immolabit in conspectu omnium:(vulgate) Numbers 19:3 And ye shal giue her vnto Eleazar ye Priest, that hee may bring her without the hoste, and cause her to be slaine before his face.(Geneva) Num 19:3 Und gebt sie dem Priester Eleasar; der soll sie hinaus vor das Lager führen und daselbst vor ihm schlachten lassen.(dhs) Num 19:3 You shall give it to Eleazar the priest, that he may take it outside the camp, and it shall be slaughtered before him;(nkjv) ======= Numbers 19:4 ============ Num 19:4 Next Eleazar the priest shall take some of its blood with his finger and sprinkle some of its blood toward the front of the tent of meeting seven times.(nas) Num 19:4 καὶ λήμψεται Ελεαζαρ ἀπὸ τοῦ αἵματος αὐτῆς καὶ ῥανεῖ ἀπέναντι τοῦ προσώπου τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου ἀπὸ τοῦ αἵματος αὐτῆς ἑπτάκις (lxx) Num 19:4 et tingens digitum in sanguine ejus, asperget contra fores tabernaculi septem vicibus,(vulgate) Numbers 19:4 Then shall Eleazar the Priest take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle it before the Tabernacle of the Congregation seuen times,(Geneva) Num 19:4 Und Eleasar, der Priester, soll von ihrem Blut mit seinem Finger nehmen und stracks gegen die Hütte des Stifts siebenmal sprengen(dhs) Num 19:4 and Eleazar the priest shall take some of its blood with his finger, and sprinkle some of its blood seven times directly in front of the tabernacle of meeting.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 19:5 ============ Num 19:5 Then the heifer shall be burned in his sight; its hide and its flesh and its blood, with its refuse, shall be burned.(nas) Num 19:5 καὶ κατακαύσουσιν αὐτὴν ἐναντίον αὐτοῦ καὶ τὸ δέρμα καὶ τὰ κρέα αὐτῆς καὶ τὸ αἷμα αὐτῆς σὺν τῇ κόπρῳ αὐτῆς κατακαυθήσεται (lxx) Num 19:5 comburetque eam cunctis videntibus, tam pelle et carnibus ejus quam sanguine et fimo flammæ traditis.(vulgate) Numbers 19:5 And cause the kow to be burnt in his sight: with her skinne, and her flesh, and her blood, & her doung shal he burne her.(Geneva) Num 19:5 und die Kuh vor ihm verbrennen lassen, beides, ihr Fell und ihr Fleisch, dazu ihr Blut samt ihrem Mist.(dhs) Num 19:5 Then the heifer shall be burned in his sight: its hide, its flesh, its blood, and its offal shall be burned.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 19:6 ============ Num 19:6 The priest shall take cedar wood and hyssop and scarlet material and cast it into the midst of the burning heifer.(nas) Num 19:6 καὶ λήμψεται ὁ ἱερεὺς ξύλον κέδρινον καὶ ὕσσωπον καὶ κόκκινον καὶ ἐμβαλοῦσιν εἰς μέσον τοῦ κατακαύματος τῆς δαμάλεως (lxx) Num 19:6 Lignum quoque cedrinum, et hyssopum, coccumque bis tinctum sacerdos mittet in flammam, quæ vaccam vorat.(vulgate) Numbers 19:6 Then shal the Priest take cedar wood, and hyssope & skarlet lace, and cast them in the mids of the fire where the kow burneth.(Geneva) Num 19:6 Und der Priester soll Zedernholz und Isop und scharlachrote Wolle nehmen und auf die brennende Kuh werfen(dhs) Num 19:6 And the priest shall take cedar wood and hyssop and scarlet, and cast them into the midst of the fire burning the heifer.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 19:7 ============ Num 19:7 The priest shall then wash his clothes and bathe his body in water, and afterward come into the camp, but the priest shall be unclean until evening.(nas) Num 19:7 καὶ πλυνεῖ τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτοῦ ὁ ἱερεὺς καὶ λούσεται τὸ σῶμα αὐτοῦ ὕδατι καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα εἰσελεύσεται εἰς τὴν παρεμβολήν καὶ ἀκάθαρτος ἔσται ὁ ἱερεὺς ἕως ἑσπέρας (lxx) Num 19:7 Et tunc demum, lotis vestibus et corpore suo, ingredietur in castra, commaculatusque erit usque ad vesperum.(vulgate) Numbers 19:7 Then shal the Priest wash his clothes, and he shal wash his flesh in water, and then come into the hoste, and the Priest shalbe vncleane vnto the euen.(Geneva) Num 19:7 und soll seine Kleider waschen und seinen Leib mit Wasser baden und darnach ins Lager gehen und unrein sein bis an den Abend.(dhs) Num 19:7 Then the priest shall wash his clothes, he shall bathe in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp; the priest shall be unclean until evening.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 19:8 ============ Num 19:8 The one who burns it shall also wash his clothes in water and bathe his body in water, and shall be unclean until evening.(nas) Num 19:8 καὶ ὁ κατακαίων αὐτὴν πλυνεῖ τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτοῦ καὶ λούσεται τὸ σῶμα αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀκάθαρτος ἔσται ἕως ἑσπέρας (lxx) Num 19:8 Sed et ille qui combusserit eam, lavabit vestimenta sua et corpus, et immundus erit usque ad vesperum.(vulgate) Numbers 19:8 Also he that burneth her, shall wash his clothes in water, and wash his flesh in water, and be vncleane vntill euen.(Geneva) Num 19:8 Und der sie verbrannt hat, soll auch seine Kleider mit Wasser waschen und seinen Leib in Wasser baden und unrein sein bis an den Abend.(dhs) Num 19:8 And the one who burns it shall wash his clothes in water, bathe in water, and shall be unclean until evening.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 19:9 ============ Num 19:9 Now a man who is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer and deposit them outside the camp in a clean place, and the congregation of the sons of Israel shall keep it as water to remove impurity; it is purification from sin.(nas) Num 19:9 καὶ συνάξει ἄνθρωπος καθαρὸς τὴν σποδὸν τῆς δαμάλεως καὶ ἀποθήσει ἔξω τῆς παρεμβολῆς εἰς τόπον καθαρόν καὶ ἔσται τῇ συναγωγῇ υἱῶν Ισραηλ εἰς διατήρησιν ὕδωρ ῥαντισμοῦ ἅγνισμά ἐστιν (lxx) Num 19:9 Colliget autem vir mundus cineres vaccæ, et effundet eos extra castra in loco purissimo, ut sint multitudini filiorum Israël in custodiam, et in aquam aspersionis: quia pro peccato vacca combusta est.(vulgate) Numbers 19:9 And a man, that is cleane, shal take vp the ashes of the kow, & put them without the hoste in a cleane place: and it shalbe kept for the Congregation of the children of Israel for a sprinkling water: it is a sinne offring.(Geneva) Num 19:9 Und ein reiner Mann soll die Asche von der Kuh aufraffen und sie schütten draußen vor dem Lager an eine reine Stätte, daß sie daselbst verwahrt werde für die Gemeinde der Kinder Israel zum Sprengwasser; denn es ist ein Sündopfer.(dhs) Num 19:9 Then a man who is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer, and store them outside the camp in a clean place; and they shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for the water of purification; it is for purifying from sin.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 19:10 ============ Num 19:10 The one who gathers the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes and be unclean until evening; and it shall be a perpetual statute to the sons of Israel and to the alien who sojourns among them.(nas) Num 19:10 καὶ πλυνεῖ τὰ ἱμάτια ὁ συνάγων τὴν σποδιὰν τῆς δαμάλεως καὶ ἀκάθαρτος ἔσται ἕως ἑσπέρας καὶ ἔσται τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ καὶ τοῖς προσκειμένοις προσηλύτοις νόμιμον αἰώνιον (lxx) Num 19:10 Cumque laverit qui vaccæ portaverat cineres vestimenta sua, immundus erit usque ad vesperum. Habebunt hoc filii Israël, et advenæ qui habitant inter eos, sanctum jure perpetuo.~(vulgate) Numbers 19:10 Therefore he that gathereth the ashes of the kowe, shal wash his clothes, and remaine vncleane vntil euen: and it shalbe vnto the children of Israel, and vnto the stranger that dwelleth among them, a statute for euer.(Geneva) Num 19:10 Und derselbe, der die Asche der Kuh aufgerafft hat, soll seine Kleider waschen und unrein sein bis an den Abend. Dies soll ein ewiges Recht sein den Kindern Israel und den Fremdlingen, die unter euch wohnen.(dhs) Num 19:10 And the one who gathers the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until evening. It shall be a statute forever to the children of Israel and to the stranger who dwells among them.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 19:11 ============ Num 19:11 'The one who touches the corpse of any person shall be unclean for seven days.(nas) Num 19:11 ὁ ἁπτόμενος τοῦ τεθνηκότος πάσης ψυχῆς ἀνθρώπου ἀκάθαρτος ἔσται ἑπτὰ ἡμέρας (lxx) Num 19:11 Qui tetigerit cadaver hominis, et propter hoc septem diebus fuerit immundus,(vulgate) Numbers 19:11 Hee that toucheth the dead body of any man, shalbe vncleane euen seuen dayes.(Geneva) Num 19:11 Wer nun irgend einen toten Menschen anrührt, der wird sieben Tage unrein sein.(dhs) Num 19:11 'He who touches the dead body of anyone shall be unclean seven days.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 19:12 ============ Num 19:12 That one shall purify himself from uncleanness with the water on the third day and on the seventh day, and then he will be clean; but if he does not purify himself on the third day and on the seventh day, he will not be clean.(nas) Num 19:12 οὗτος ἁγνισθήσεται τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ τρίτῃ καὶ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ ἑβδόμῃ καὶ καθαρὸς ἔσται ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ἀφαγνισθῇ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ τρίτῃ καὶ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ ἑβδόμῃ οὐ καθαρὸς ἔσται (lxx) Num 19:12 aspergetur ex hac aqua die tertio et septimo, et sic mundabitur. Si die tertio aspersus non fuerit, septimo non poterit emundari.(vulgate) Numbers 19:12 Hee shall purifie himselfe therewith the third day, and the seuenth day he shall be cleane: but if he purifie not himselfe the thirde day, then the seuenth day he shall not be cleane.(Geneva) Num 19:12 Der soll sich hiermit entsündigen am dritten Tage und am siebenten Tage, so wird er rein; und wo er sich nicht am dritten Tage und am siebenten Tage entsündigt, so wird er nicht rein werden.(dhs) Num 19:12 He shall purify himself with the water on the third day and on the seventh day; then he will be clean. But if he does not purify himself on the third day and on the seventh day, he will not be clean.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 19:13 ============ Num 19:13 Anyone who touches a corpse, the body of a man who has died, and does not purify himself, defiles the tabernacle of the Lord; and that person shall be cut off from Israel. Because the water for impurity was not sprinkled on him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness is still on him.(nas) Num 19:13 πᾶς ὁ ἁπτόμενος τοῦ τεθνηκότος ἀπὸ ψυχῆς ἀνθρώπου ἐὰν ἀποθάνῃ καὶ μὴ ἀφαγνισθῇ τὴν σκηνὴν κυρίου ἐμίανεν ἐκτριβήσεται ἡ ψυχὴ ἐκείνη ἐξ Ισραηλ ὅτι ὕδωρ ῥαντισμοῦ οὐ περιερραντίσθη ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν ἀκάθαρτός ἐστιν ἔτι ἡ ἀκαθαρσία αὐτοῦ ἐν αὐτῷ ἐστιν (lxx) Num 19:13 Omnis qui tetigerit humanæ animæ morticinum, et aspersus hac commistione non fuerit, polluet tabernaculum Domini et peribit ex Israël: quia aqua expiationis non est aspersus, immundus erit, et manebit spurcitia ejus super eum.(vulgate) Numbers 19:13 Whosoeuer toucheth ye corps of any man that is dead, and purgeth not himselfe, defileth the Tabernacle of the Lord, and that person shall be cut off from Israel, because the sprinkling water was not sprinkled vpon him: he shall be vncleane, and his vncleannesse shall remaine still vpon him.(Geneva) Num 19:13 Wenn aber jemand irgend einen toten Menschen anrührt und sich nicht entsündigen wollte, der verunreinigt die Wohnung des HERRN, und solche Seele soll ausgerottet werden aus Israel. Darum daß das Sprengwasser nicht über ihn gesprengt ist, so ist er unrein; seine Unreinigkeit bleibt an ihm.(dhs) Num 19:13 Whoever touches the body of anyone who has died, and does not purify himself, defiles the tabernacle of the Lord. He shall be unclean, because the water of purification was not sprinkled on him; his uncleanness is still on him.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 19:14 ============ Num 19:14 'This is the law when a man dies in a tent: everyone who comes into the tent and everyone who is in the tent shall be unclean for seven days.(nas) Num 19:14 καὶ οὗτος ὁ νόμος ἄνθρωπος ἐὰν ἀποθάνῃ ἐν οἰκίᾳ πᾶς ὁ εἰσπορευόμενος εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν καὶ ὅσα ἐστὶν ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ ἀκάθαρτα ἔσται ἑπτὰ ἡμέρας (lxx) Num 19:14 Ista est lex hominis qui moritur in tabernaculo: omnes qui ingrediuntur tentorium illius, et universa vasa quæ ibi sunt, polluta erunt septem diebus.(vulgate) Numbers 19:14 This is the law, Whe a man dieth in a tent, all that come into the tent, and all that is in the tent, shalbe vncleane seuen dayes,(Geneva) Num 19:14 Das ist das Gesetz: Wenn ein Mensch in der Hütte stirbt, soll jeder, der in die Hütte geht und wer in der Hütte ist, unrein sein sieben Tage.(dhs) Num 19:14 'This is the law when a man dies in a tent: All who come into the tent and all who are in the tent shall be unclean seven days;(nkjv) ======= Numbers 19:15 ============ Num 19:15 Every open vessel, which has no covering tied down on it, shall be unclean.(nas) Num 19:15 καὶ πᾶν σκεῦος ἀνεῳγμένον ὅσα οὐχὶ δεσμὸν καταδέδεται ἐπ᾽ αὐτῷ ἀκάθαρτά ἐστιν (lxx) Num 19:15 Vas, quod non habuerit operculum nec ligaturam desuper, immundum erit.(vulgate) Numbers 19:15 And all the vessels that bee open, which haue no couering fastened vpon them, shall be vncleane.(Geneva) Num 19:15 Und alles offene Gerät, das keinen Deckel noch Band hat, ist unrein.(dhs) Num 19:15 and every open vessel, which has no cover fastened on it, is unclean.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 19:16 ============ Num 19:16 Also, anyone who in the open field touches one who has been slain with a sword or who has died naturally, or a human bone or a grave, shall be unclean for seven days.(nas) Num 19:16 καὶ πᾶς ὃς ἐὰν ἅψηται ἐπὶ προσώπου τοῦ πεδίου τραυματίου ἢ νεκροῦ ἢ ὀστέου ἀνθρωπίνου ἢ μνήματος ἑπτὰ ἡμέρας ἀκάθαρτος ἔσται (lxx) Num 19:16 Si quis in agro tetigerit cadaver occisi hominis, aut per se mortui, sive os illius, vel sepulchrum, immundus erit septem diebus.(vulgate) Numbers 19:16 Also whosoeuer toucheth one that is slaine with a sworde in the fielde, or a dead person, or a bone of a dead man, or a graue, shall be vncleane seuen dayes.(Geneva) Num 19:16 Auch wer anrührt auf dem Felde einen, der erschlagen ist mit dem Schwert, oder einen Toten oder eines Menschen Gebein oder ein Grab, der ist unrein sieben Tage.(dhs) Num 19:16 Whoever in the open field touches one who is slain by a sword or who has died, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven days.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 19:17 ============ Num 19:17 Then for the unclean person they shall take some of the ashes of the burnt purification from sin and flowing water shall be added to them in a vessel.(nas) Num 19:17 καὶ λήμψονται τῷ ἀκαθάρτῳ ἀπὸ τῆς σποδιᾶς τῆς κατακεκαυμένης τοῦ ἁγνισμοῦ καὶ ἐκχεοῦσιν ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν ὕδωρ ζῶν εἰς σκεῦος (lxx) Num 19:17 Tollentque de cineribus combustionis atque peccati, et mittent aquas vivas super eos in vas:(vulgate) Numbers 19:17 Therfore for an vncleane person they shall take of the burnt ashes of the sinne offring, and pure water shalbe put thereto in a vessel.(Geneva) Num 19:17 So sollen sie nun für den Unreinen nehmen Asche von diesem verbrannten Sündopfer und fließendes Wasser darauf tun in ein Gefäß.(dhs) Num 19:17 And for an unclean person they shall take some of the ashes of the heifer burnt for purification from sin, and running water shall be put on them in a vessel.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 19:18 ============ Num 19:18 A clean person shall take hyssop and dip it in the water, and sprinkle it on the tent and on all the furnishings and on the persons who were there, and on the one who touched the bone or the one slain or the one dying naturally or the grave.(nas) Num 19:18 καὶ λήμψεται ὕσσωπον καὶ βάψει εἰς τὸ ὕδωρ ἀνὴρ καθαρὸς καὶ περιρρανεῖ ἐπὶ τὸν οἶκον καὶ ἐπὶ τὰ σκεύη καὶ ἐπὶ τὰς ψυχάς ὅσαι ἐὰν ὦσιν ἐκεῖ καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν ἡμμένον τοῦ ὀστέου τοῦ ἀνθρωπίνου ἢ τοῦ τραυματίου ἢ τοῦ τεθνηκότος ἢ τοῦ μνήματος (lxx) Num 19:18 in quibus cum homo mundus tinxerit hyssopum, asperget ex eo omne tentorium, et cunctam supellectilem, et homines hujuscemodi contagione pollutos:(vulgate) Numbers 19:18 And a cleane person shal take hyssope & dip it in the water, and sprinkle it vpon the tent, and vpon all the vessels, and on the persons that were therein, and vpon him that touched ye bone, or the slayne, or the dead, or the graue.(Geneva) Num 19:18 Und ein reiner Mann soll Isop nehmen und ins Wasser tauchen und die Hütte besprengen und alle Geräte und alle Seelen, die darin sind; also auch den, der eines Toten Gebein oder einen Erschlagenen oder Toten oder ein Grab angerührt hat.(dhs) Num 19:18 A clean person shall take hyssop and dip it in the water, sprinkle it on the tent, on all the vessels, on the persons who were there, or on the one who touched a bone, the slain, the dead, or a grave.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 19:19 ============ Num 19:19 Then the clean person shall sprinkle on the unclean on the third day and on the seventh day; and on the seventh day he shall purify him from uncleanness, and he shall wash his clothes and bathe himself in water and shall be clean by evening.(nas) Num 19:19 καὶ περιρρανεῖ ὁ καθαρὸς ἐπὶ τὸν ἀκάθαρτον ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ τρίτῃ καὶ ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ ἑβδόμῃ καὶ ἀφαγνισθήσεται τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ ἑβδόμῃ καὶ πλυνεῖ τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτοῦ καὶ λούσεται ὕδατι καὶ ἀκάθαρτος ἔσται ἕως ἑσπέρας (lxx) Num 19:19 atque hoc modo mundus lustrabit immundum tertio et septimo die: expiatusque die septimo, lavabit et se et vestimenta sua, et immundus erit usque ad vesperum.(vulgate) Numbers 19:19 And the cleane person shall sprinkle vpon the vncleane the third day, and the seuenth day, and hee shall purifie him selfe the seuenth day, and wash his clothes, and wash himself in water, and shalbe cleane at euen.(Geneva) Num 19:19 Es soll aber der Reine den Unreinen am dritten Tage und am siebenten Tage entsündigen; und er soll seine Kleider waschen und sich mit Wasser baden, so wird er am Abend rein.(dhs) Num 19:19 The clean person shall sprinkle the unclean on the third day and on the seventh day; and on the seventh day he shall purify himself, wash his clothes, and bathe in water; and at evening he shall be clean.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 19:20 ============ Num 19:20 'But the man who is unclean and does not purify himself from uncleanness, that person shall be cut off from the midst of the assembly, because he has defiled the sanctuary of the Lord;
