Moreover, they built for themselves high places in all their towns, from watchtower to fortified city.(nas) 2Ki 17:9 καὶ ὅσοι ἠμφιέσαντο οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ λόγους οὐχ οὕτως κατὰ κυρίου θεοῦ αὐτῶν καὶ ᾠκοδόμησαν ἑαυτοῖς ὑψηλὰ ἐν πάσαις ταῖς πόλεσιν αὐτῶν ἀπὸ πύργου φυλασσόντων ἕως πόλεως ὀχυρᾶς (lxx) 2Ki 17:9 Et offenderunt filii Israël verbis non rectis Dominum Deum suum: et ædificaverunt sibi excelsa in cunctis urbibus suis, a turre custodum usque ad civitatem munitam.(vulgate) 2 Kings 17:9 And the children of Israel had done secretly things that were not vpright before the Lorde their God, & throughout all their cities had built hie places, both from the tower of the watch, to the defensed citie,(Geneva) 2Ki 17:9 und die Kinder Israels schmückten ihre Sachen wider den HERRN, ihren Gott, die doch nicht gut waren, also daß sie sich Höhen bauten in allen Städten, von den Wachttürmen bis zu den festen Städten,(dhs) 2Ki 17:9 Also the children of Israel secretly did against the Lord their God things that were not right, and they built for themselves high places in all their cities, from watchtower to fortified city.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 17:10 ============ 2Ki 17:10 They set for themselves sacred pillars and Asherim on every high hill and under every green tree,(nas) 2Ki 17:10 καὶ ἐστήλωσαν ἑαυτοῖς στήλας καὶ ἄλση ἐπὶ παντὶ βουνῷ ὑψηλῷ καὶ ὑποκάτω παντὸς ξύλου ἀλσώδους (lxx) 2Ki 17:10 Feceruntque sibi statuas et lucos in omni colle sublimi, et subter omne lignum nemorosum:(vulgate) 2 Kings 17:10 And had made them images and groues vpon euery hie hill, and vnder euery greene tree,(Geneva) 2Ki 17:10 und richteten Säulen auf und Ascherabilder auf allen hohen Hügeln und unter allen grünen Bäumen,(dhs) 2Ki 17:10 They set up for themselves sacred pillars and wooden images on every high hill and under every green tree.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 17:11 ============ 2Ki 17:11 and there they burned incense on all the high places as the nations did which the Lord had carried away to exile before them; and they did evil things provoking the Lord.(nas) 2Ki 17:11 καὶ ἐθυμίασαν ἐκεῖ ἐν πᾶσιν ὑψηλοῖς καθὼς τὰ ἔθνη ἃ ἀπῴκισεν κύριος ἐκ προσώπου αὐτῶν καὶ ἐποίησαν κοινωνοὺς καὶ ἐχάραξαν τοῦ παροργίσαι τὸν κύριον (lxx) 2Ki 17:11 et adolebant ibi incensum super aras in morem gentium quas transtulerat Dominus a facie eorum: feceruntque verba pessima irritantes Dominum.(vulgate) 2 Kings 17:11 And there burnt incense in all the hie places, as did the heathen, whom the Lord had taken away before them, and wrought wicked things to anger the Lord,(Geneva) 2Ki 17:11 und räucherten daselbst auf allen Höhen wie die Heiden, die der HERR vor ihnen weggetrieben hatte, und sie trieben böse Stücke, den HERRN zu erzürnen,(dhs) 2Ki 17:11 There they burned incense on all the high places, like the nations whom the Lord had carried away before them; And they followed vanity and became vain, and went after the nations which surrounded them, concerning which the Lord had commanded them not to do like them.(nas) 2Ki 17:15 καὶ τὰ μαρτύρια αὐτοῦ ὅσα διεμαρτύρατο αὐτοῖς οὐκ ἐφύλαξαν καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν ὀπίσω τῶν ματαίων καὶ ἐματαιώθησαν καὶ ὀπίσω τῶν ἐθνῶν τῶν περικύκλῳ αὐτῶν ὧν ἐνετείλατο αὐτοῖς τοῦ μὴ ποιῆσαι κατὰ ταῦτα (lxx) 2Ki 17:15 Et abjecerunt legitima ejus, et pactum quod pepigit cum patribus eorum, et testificationes quibus contestatus est eos: secutique sunt vanitates, et vane egerunt: et secuti sunt gentes quæ erant per circuitum eorum, super quibus præceperat Dominus eis ut non facerent sicut et illæ faciebant.(vulgate) 2 Kings 17:15 And they refused his statutes and his couenant, that he made with their fathers, & his testimonies (wherewith he witnessed vnto them) and they followed vanitie, and became vaine, and followed the heathen that were round about them: concerning whome the Lord had charged them, that they should not do like them.(Geneva) 2Ki 17:15 dazu verachteten sie seine Gebote und seinen Bund, den er mit ihren Vätern gemacht hatte, und seine Zeugnisse, die er unter ihnen tat, und wandelten ihrer Eitelkeit nach und wurden eitel den Heiden nach, die um sie her wohnten, von welchen ihnen der HERR geboten hatte, sie sollten nicht wie sie tun;(dhs) 2Ki 17:15 And they rejected His statutes and His covenant that He had made with their fathers, and His testimonies which He had testified against them; they followed idols, became idolaters, and went after the nations who were all around them, concerning whom the Lord had charged them that they should not do like them.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 17:16 ============ 2Ki 17:16 They forsook all the commandments of the Lord their God and made for themselves molten images, even two calves, and made an Asherah and worshiped all the host of heaven and served Baal.(nas) 2Ki 17:16 ἐγκατέλιπον τὰς ἐντολὰς κυρίου θεοῦ αὐτῶν καὶ ἐποίησαν ἑαυτοῖς χώνευμα δύο δαμάλεις καὶ ἐποίησαν ἄλση καὶ προσεκύνησαν πάσῃ τῇ δυνάμει τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ ἐλάτρευσαν τῷ Βααλ (lxx) 2Ki 17:16 Et dereliquerunt omnia præcepta Domini Dei sui: feceruntque sibi conflatiles duos vitulos, et lucos, et adoraverunt universam militiam cæli: servieruntque Baal,(vulgate) 2 Kings 17:16 Finally they left all the commaundements of the Lorde their God, and made them molten images, euen two calues, and made a groue, and worshipped all the hoste of heauen, and serued Baal.(Geneva) 2Ki 17:16 aber sie verließen alle Gebote des HERRN, ihres Gottes, und machten sich zwei gegossene Kälber und Ascherabild und beteten an alles Heer des Himmels und dienten Baal(dhs) 2Ki 17:16 So they left all the commandments of the Lord their God, made for themselves a molded image and two calves, made a wooden image and worshiped all the host of heaven, and served Baal.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 17:17 ============ 2Ki 17:17 Then they made their sons and their daughters pass through the fire, and practiced divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking Him.(nas) 2Ki 17:17 καὶ διῆγον τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτῶν καὶ τὰς θυγατέρας αὐτῶν ἐν πυρὶ καὶ ἐμαντεύοντο μαντείας καὶ οἰωνίζοντο καὶ ἐπράθησαν τοῦ ποιῆσαι τὸ πονηρὸν ἐν ὀφθαλμοῖς κυρίου παροργίσαι αὐτόν (lxx) 2Ki 17:17 et consecraverunt filios suos et filias suas per ignem: et divinationibus inserviebant, et auguriis: et tradiderunt se ut facerent malum coram Domino, ut irritarent eum.(vulgate) 2 Kings 17:17 And they made their sonnes and their daughters passe thorowe the fire, and vsed witchcraft and inchantments, yea, solde them selues to doe euill in the sight of the Lord, to anger him.(Geneva) 2Ki 17:17 und ließen ihre Söhne und Töchter durchs Feuer gehen und gingen mit Weissagen und Zaubern um und verkauften sich, zu tun, was dem HERRN übel gefiel, ihn zu erzürnen:(dhs) 2Ki 17:17 And they caused their sons and daughters to pass through the fire, practiced witchcraft and soothsaying, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 17:18 ============ 2Ki 17:18 So the Lord was very angry with Israel and removed them from His sight; none was left except the tribe of Judah.(nas) 2Ki 17:18 καὶ ἐθυμώθη κύριος σφόδρα ἐν τῷ Ισραηλ καὶ ἀπέστησεν αὐτοὺς ἀπὸ τοῦ προσώπου αὐτοῦ καὶ οὐχ ὑπελείφθη πλὴν φυλὴ Ιουδα μονωτάτη (lxx) 2Ki 17:18 Iratusque est Dominus vehementer Israëli, et abstulit eos a conspectu suo, et non remansit nisi tribus Juda tantummodo.(vulgate) 2 Kings 17:18 Therefore the Lord was exceeding wroth with Israel, and put them out of his sight, and none was left but the tribe of Iudah onely.(Geneva) 2Ki 17:18 da ward der HERR sehr zornig über Israel und tat sie von seinem Angesicht, daß nichts übrigblieb denn der Stamm Juda allein.(dhs) 2Ki 17:18 Therefore the Lord was very angry with Israel, and removed them from His sight;
