Today's Date: ======= Ezra 1:1 ============ Ezr 1:1 Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, in order to fulfill the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he sent a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying:(nas) Ezr 1:1 καὶ ἐν τῷ πρώτῳ ἔτει Κύρου τοῦ βασιλέως Περσῶν τοῦ τελεσθῆναι λόγον κυρίου ἀπὸ στόματος Ιερεμιου ἐξήγειρεν κύριος τὸ πνεῦμα Κύρου βασιλέως Περσῶν καὶ παρήγγειλεν φωνὴν ἐν πάσῃ βασιλείᾳ αὐτοῦ καί γε ἐν γραπτῷ λέγων (lxx) Ezr 1:1 In anno primo Cyri regis Persarum, ut compleretur verbum Domini ex ore Jeremiæ, suscitavit Dominus spiritum Cyri regis Persarum: et traduxit vocem in omni regno suo, etiam per scripturam, dicens:(vulgate) Ezra 1:1 Nowe in the first yere of Cyrus King of Persia (that the worde of the Lord, spoken by the mouth of Ieremiah, might be accomplished) the Lorde stirred vp the spirite of Cyrus King of Persia, and hee made a Proclamation thorowe all his Kingdome, and also by writing, saying,(Geneva) Ezr 1:1 Im ersten Jahr des Kores, des Königs in Persien (daß erfüllt würde das Wort des HERRN durch den Mund Jeremia's geredet), erweckte der HERR den Geist des Kores, des Königs in Persien, daß er ausrufen ließ durch sein ganzes Königreich, auch durch Schrift, und sagen:(dhs) Ezr 1:1 Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying,(nkjv) ======= Ezra 1:2 ============ Ezr 1:2 "Thus says Cyrus king of Persia, 'The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and He has appointed me to build Him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.(nas) Ezr 1:2 οὕτως εἶπεν Κῦρος βασιλεὺς Περσῶν πάσας τὰς βασιλείας τῆς γῆς ἔδωκέν μοι κύριος ὁ θεὸς τοῦ οὐρανοῦ καὶ αὐτὸς ἐπεσκέψατο ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ τοῦ οἰκοδομῆσαι αὐτῷ οἶκον ἐν Ιερουσαλημ τῇ ἐν τῇ Ιουδαίᾳ (lxx) Ezr 1:2 Hæc dicit Cyrus rex Persarum: Omnia regna terræ dedit mihi Dominus Deus cæli, et ipse præcepit mihi ut ædificarem ei domum in Jerusalem, quæ est in Judæa.(vulgate) Ezra 1:2 Thus saith Cyrus King of Persia, The Lorde God of heauen hath giuen me all the kingdomes of the earth, and he hath commanded me to builde him an house in Ierusalem, which is in Iudah.(Geneva) Ezr 1:2 So spricht Kores, der König in Persien: Der HERR, der Gott des Himmels, hat mir alle Königreiche der Erde gegeben, und hat mir befohlen, ihm ein Haus zu bauen zu Jerusalem in Juda.(dhs) Ezr 1:2 Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: All the kingdoms of the earth the Lord God of heaven has given me. And He has commanded me to build Him a house at Jerusalem which is in Judah.(nkjv) ======= Ezra 1:3 ============ Ezr 1:3 Whoever there is among you of all His people, may his God be with him! Let him go up to Jerusalem which is in Judah and rebuild the house of the Lord, the God of Israel; He is the God who is in Jerusalem.(nas) Ezr 1:3 τίς ἐν ὑμῖν ἀπὸ παντὸς τοῦ λαοῦ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔσται ὁ θεὸς αὐτοῦ μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀναβήσεται εἰς Ιερουσαλημ τὴν ἐν τῇ Ιουδαίᾳ καὶ οἰκοδομησάτω τὸν οἶκον θεοῦ Ισραηλ αὐτὸς ὁ θεὸς ὁ ἐν Ιερουσαλημ (lxx) Ezr 1:3 Quis est in vobis de universo populo ejus? Sit Deus illius cum ipso. Ascendat in Jerusalem, quæ est in Judæa, et ædificet domum Domini Dei Israël: ipse est Deus qui est in Jerusalem.(vulgate) Ezra 1:3 Who is he among you of all his people with whome his God is? let him goe vp to Ierusalem which is in Iudah, and buylde the house of the Lorde God of Israel: he is the God, which is in Ierusalem.(Geneva) Ezr 1:3 Wer nun unter euch seine Volkes ist, mit dem Sei Gott, und er ziehe hinauf gen Jerusalem in Juda und baue das Haus des HERRN, des Gottes Israels. Er ist der Gott, der zu Jerusalem ist.(dhs) Ezr 1:3 Who is among you of all His people? May his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem which is in Judah, and build the house of the Lord God of Israel (He is God), which is in Jerusalem.(nkjv) ======= Ezra 1:4 ============ Ezr 1:4 Every survivor, at whatever place he may live, let the men of that place support him with silver and gold, with goods and cattle, together with a freewill offering for the house of God which is in Jerusalem.'" (nas) Ezr 1:4 καὶ πᾶς ὁ καταλειπόμενος ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν τόπων οὗ αὐτὸς παροικεῖ ἐκεῖ καὶ λήμψονται αὐτὸν ἄνδρες τοῦ τόπου αὐτοῦ ἐν ἀργυρίῳ καὶ χρυσίῳ καὶ ἀποσκευῇ καὶ κτήνεσιν μετὰ τοῦ ἑκουσίου εἰς οἶκον τοῦ θεοῦ τοῦ ἐν Ιερουσαλημ (lxx) Ezr 1:4 Et omnes reliqui in cunctis locis ubicumque habitant, adjuvent eum viri de loco suo argento et auro, et substantia, et pecoribus, excepto quod voluntarie offerunt templo Dei, quod est in Jerusalem.~(vulgate) Ezra 1:4 And euery one that remayneth in any place (where he soiourneth) let the men of his place relieue him with siluer and with golde, and with substance, and with cattel, and with a willing offring, for the house of God that is in Ierusalem.(Geneva) Ezr 1:4 Und wer noch übrig ist an allen Orten, da der Fremdling ist, dem sollen helfen die Leute seines Orts mit Silber und Gold, Gut und Vieh, außer dem, was sie aus freiem Willen geben zum Hause Gottes zu Jerusalem.(dhs) Ezr 1:4 And whoever is left in any place where he dwells, let the the heads of fathers' households of Judah and Benjamin and the priests and the Levites arose, even everyone whose spirit God had stirred to go up and rebuild the house of the Lord which is in Jerusalem.(nas) Ezr 1:5 καὶ ἀνέστησαν ἄρχοντες τῶν πατριῶν τῷ Ιουδα καὶ Βενιαμιν καὶ οἱ ἱερεῖς καὶ οἱ Λευῖται πάντων ὧν ἐξήγειρεν ὁ θεὸς τὸ πνεῦμα αὐτῶν τοῦ ἀναβῆναι οἰκοδομῆσαι τὸν οἶκον κυρίου τὸν ἐν Ιερουσαλημ (lxx) Ezr 1:5 Et surrexerunt principes patrum de Juda et Benjamin, et sacerdotes, et Levitæ, et omnis cujus Deus suscitavit spiritum, ut ascenderent ad ædificandum templum Domini, quod erat in Jerusalem.(vulgate) Ezra 1:5 Then the chiefe fathers of Iudah & Beniamin, & the Priests & Leuites rose vp, with al them whose spirit God had raysed to goe vp, to builde the house of the Lord which is in Ierusalem.(Geneva) Ezr 1:5 Da machten sich auf die Obersten der Vaterhäuser aus Juda und Benjamin und die Priester und Leviten, alle, deren Geist Gott erweckte, hinaufzuziehen und zu bauen valuables, aside from all that was given as a freewill offering.(nas) Ezr 1:6 καὶ πάντες οἱ κυκλόθεν ἐνίσχυσαν ἐν χερσὶν αὐτῶν ἐν σκεύεσιν ἀργυρίου ἐν χρυσῷ ἐν ἀποσκευῇ καὶ ἐν κτήνεσιν καὶ ἐν ξενίοις πάρεξ τῶν ἐν ἑκουσίοις (lxx) Ezr 1:6 Universique qui erant in circuitu, adjuverunt manus eorum in vasis argenteis et aureis, in substantia et jumentis, in supellectili, exceptis his quæ sponte obtulerant.(vulgate) Ezra 1:6 And all they that were about them, strengthened their handes with vessels of siluer, with golde, with substance and with cattell, and with precious thinges, besides all that was willingly offred.(Geneva) Ezr 1:6 Und alle, die um sie her waren, stärkten ihre Hände mit silbernem und goldenem Geräte, mit Gut und Vieh und Kleinoden, außer dem, Was sie freiwillig gods;(nas) Ezr 1:7 καὶ ὁ βασιλεὺς Κῦρος ἐξήνεγκεν τὰ σκεύη οἴκου κυρίου ἃ ἔλαβεν Ναβουχοδονοσορ ἀπὸ Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτὰ ἐν οἴκῳ θεοῦ αὐτοῦ (lxx) Ezr 1:7 Rex quoque Cyrus protulit vasa templi Domini, quæ tulerat Nabuchodonosor de Jerusalem, et posuerat ea in templo dei sui.(vulgate) Ezra 1:7 Also the King Cyrus brought forth the vessels of the house of the Lord, which Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of Ierusalem, and had put them in the house of his god.(Geneva) Ezr 1:7 Und der König Kores tat heraus die Gefäße des Hauses des HERRN, die Nebukadnezar aus Jerusalem genommen hatte und in seines Gottes Haus getan hatte.(dhs) Ezr 1:7 King Cyrus also brought out the articles of the house of the Lord, which Nebuchadnezzar had taken from Jerusalem and put in the temple of his gods;(nkjv) ======= Ezra 1:8 ============ Ezr 1:8 and Cyrus, king of Persia, had them brought out by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, and he counted them out to Sheshbazzar, the prince of Judah.(nas) Ezr 1:8 καὶ ἐξήνεγκεν αὐτὰ Κῦρος βασιλεὺς Περσῶν ἐπὶ χεῖρα Μιθραδάτου γασβαρηνου καὶ ἠρίθμησεν αὐτὰ τῷ Σασαβασαρ ἄρχοντι τοῦ Ιουδα (lxx) Ezr 1:8 Protulit autem ea Cyrus rex Persarum per manum Mithridatis filii Gazabar, et annumeravit ea Sassabasar principi Juda.(vulgate) Ezra 1:8 Euen them did Cyrus King of Persia bring forth by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, & counted them vnto Sheshbazzar the Prince of Iudah.(Geneva) Ezr 1:8 Aber Kores, der König in Persien, tat sie heraus durch Mithredath, den Schatzmeister; der zählte sie dar Sesbazar, dem Fürsten Juda's.(dhs) Ezr 1:8 and Cyrus king of Persia brought them out by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, and counted them out to Sheshbazzar the prince of Judah.(nkjv) ======= Ezra 1:9 ============ Ezr 1:9 Now this was their number: 30 gold dishes, 1,000 silver dishes, 29 duplicates;(nas) Ezr 1:9 καὶ οὗτος ὁ ἀριθμὸς αὐτῶν ψυκτῆρες χρυσοῖ τριάκοντα καὶ ψυκτῆρες ἀργυροῖ χίλιοι παρηλλαγμένα ἐννέα καὶ εἴκοσι (lxx) Ezr 1:9 Et hic est numerus eorum: phialæ aureæ triginta, phialæ argenteæ mille, cultri viginti novem, scyphi aurei triginta,(vulgate) Ezra 1:9 And this is the nomber of them, thirtie basins of golde, a thousand basins of siluer, nine and twentie kniues,(Geneva) Ezr 1:9 Und dies ist ihre Zahl: dreißig goldene Becken und tausend silberne Becken, neunundzwanzig Messer,(dhs) Ezr 1:9 This is the number of them: thirty gold platters, one thousand silver platters, twenty-nine knives,(nkjv) ======= Ezra 1:10 ============ Ezr 1:10 30 gold bowls, 410 silver bowls of a second kind and 1,000 other articles.(nas) Ezr 1:10 κεφφουρη χρυσοῖ τριάκοντα καὶ ἀργυροῖ διακόσιοι καὶ σκεύη ἕτερα χίλια (lxx) Ezr 1:10 scyphi argentei secundi quadringenti decem, vasa alia mille.(vulgate) Ezra 1:10 Thirtie boules of gold, and of siluer boules of the second sort, foure hundreth and tenne, and of other vessels, a thousand.(Geneva) Ezr 1:10 dreißig goldene Becher und der andern, silbernen Becher vierhundertundzehn und anderer of gold and silver numbered 5,400. Sheshbazzar brought them all up with the exiles who went up from Babylon to Jerusalem. (nas) Ezr 1:11 πάντα τὰ σκεύη τῷ χρυσῷ καὶ τῷ ἀργύρῳ πεντακισχίλια καὶ τετρακόσια τὰ πάντα ἀναβαίνοντα μετὰ Σασαβασαρ ἀπὸ τῆς ἀποικίας ἐκ Βαβυλῶνος εἰς Ιερουσαλημ (lxx) Ezr 1:11 Omnia vasa aurea et argentea quinque millia quadringenta: universa tulit Sassabasar cum his qui ascendebant de transmigratione Babylonis in Jerusalem.(vulgate) Ezra 1:11 All the vessels of golde and siluer were fiue thousand & foure hundreth. Sheshbazzar brought vp all with them of the captiuitie that came vp from Babel to Ierusalem.(Geneva) Ezr 1:11 daß aller Gefäße, golden und silbern, waren fünftausend und vierhundert. Alle brachte sie Sesbazar herauf mit denen, die aus der Gefangenschaft von Babel heraufzogen gen Jerusalem.(dhs) Ezr 1:11 All the articles of gold and silver were five thousand four hundred.
