Today's Date: ======= Ezekiel 17:1 ============ Eze 17:1 Now the word of the Lord came to me saying, (nasb) Eze 17:1 And the word of the Lord came to me, saying, (nkjv) Eze 17:1 Und des HERRN Wort geschah zu mir und sprach:(dhs) Eze 17:1 καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων (lxx) ======= Ezekiel 17:2 ============ Eze 17:2 "Son of man, propound a riddle and speak a parable to the house of Israel, (nasb) Eze 17:2 "Son of man, pose a riddle, and speak a parable to the house of Israel, (nkjv) Eze 17:2 Du Menschenkind, lege doch dem Hause Israel ein Rätsel vor und ein Gleichnis(dhs) Eze 17:2 υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου διήγησαι διήγημα καὶ εἰπὸν παραβολὴν πρὸς τὸν οἶκον τοῦ Ισραηλ (lxx) ======= Ezekiel 17:3 ============ Eze 17:3 saying, 'Thus says the Lord God, "A great eagle with great wings, long pinions and a full plumage of many colors came to Lebanon and took away the top of the cedar. (nasb) Eze 17:3 and say, 'Thus says the Lord God: "A great eagle with large wings and long pinions, Full of feathers of various colors, Came to Lebanon And took from the cedar the highest branch. (nkjv) Eze 17:3 und sprich: So spricht der HERR HERR: Ein großer Adler mit großen Flügeln und langen Fittichen und voll Federn, die bunt waren, kam auf den Libanon und nahm den Wipfel von der Zeder(dhs) Eze 17:3 καὶ ἐρεῖς τάδε λέγει κύριος ὁ ἀετὸς ὁ μέγας ὁ μεγαλοπτέρυγος ὁ μακρὸς τῇ ἐκτάσει πλήρης ὀνύχων ὃς ἔχει τὸ ἥγημα εἰσελθεῖν εἰς τὸν Λίβανον καὶ ἔλαβε τὰ ἐπίλεκτα τῆς κέδρου (lxx) ======= Ezekiel 17:4 ============ Eze 17:4 He plucked off the topmost of its young twigs and brought it to a land of merchants; he set it in a city of traders. (nasb) Eze 17:4 He cropped off its topmost young twig And carried it to a land of trade; He set it in a city of merchants. (nkjv) Eze 17:4 und brach das oberste Reis ab und führte es ins Krämerland und setzte es in die Kaufmannstadt.(dhs) Eze 17:4 τὰ ἄκρα τῆς ἁπαλότητος ἀπέκνισεν καὶ ἤνεγκεν αὐτὰ εἰς γῆν Χανααν εἰς πόλιν τετειχισμένην ἔθετο αὐτά (lxx) ======= Ezekiel 17:5 ============ Eze 17:5 He also took some of the seed of the land and planted it in fertile soil. He placed it beside abundant waters; he set it like a willow. (nasb) Eze 17:5 Then he took some of the seed of the land And planted it in a fertile field; He placed it by abundant waters And set it like a willow tree. (nkjv) Eze 17:5 Er nahm auch vom Samen des Landes und pflanzte es in gutes Land, da viel Wasser war, und setzte es lose hin.(dhs) Eze 17:5 καὶ ἔλαβεν ἀπὸ τοῦ σπέρματος τῆς γῆς καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτὸ εἰς τὸ πεδίον φυτὸν ἐφ᾽ ὕδατι πολλῷ ἐπιβλεπόμενον ἔταξεν αὐτό (lxx) ======= Ezekiel 17:6 ============ Eze 17:6 Then it sprouted and became a low, spreading vine with its branches turned toward him, but its roots remained under it. So it became a vine and yielded shoots and sent out branches. (nasb) Eze 17:6 And it grew and became a spreading vine of low stature; Its branches turned toward him, But its roots were under it. So it became a vine, Brought forth branches, And put forth shoots. (nkjv) Eze 17:6 Und es wuchs und ward ein ausgebreiteter Weinstock und niedrigen Stammes; denn seine Reben bogen sich zu ihm, und seine Wurzeln waren unter ihm; und er war also ein Weinstock, der Reben kriegte und Zweige.(dhs) Eze 17:6 καὶ ἀνέτειλεν καὶ ἐγένετο εἰς ἄμπελον ἀσθενοῦσαν καὶ μικρὰν τῷ μεγέθει τοῦ ἐπιφαίνεσθαι αὐτήν τὰ κλήματα αὐτῆς ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν καὶ αἱ ῥίζαι αὐτῆς ὑποκάτω αὐτῆς ἦσαν καὶ ἐγένετο εἰς ἄμπελον καὶ ἐποίησεν ἀπώρυγας καὶ ἐξέτεινεν τὴν ἀναδενδράδα αὐτῆς (lxx) ======= Ezekiel 17:7 ============ Eze 17:7 "But there was another great eagle with great wings and much plumage; and behold, this vine bent its roots toward him and sent out its branches toward him from the beds where it was planted, that he might water it. (nasb) Eze 17:7 "But there was another great eagle with large wings and many feathers; And behold, this vine bent its roots toward him, And stretched its branches toward him, From the garden terrace where it had been planted, That he might water it. (nkjv) Eze 17:7 Und da war ein anderer großer Adler mit großen Flügeln und vielen Federn; und siehe, der Weinstock hatte verlangen an seinen Wurzeln zu diesem Adler und streckte seine Reben aus gegen ihn, daß er gewässert würde, vom Platz, da er gepflanzt war.(dhs) Eze 17:7 καὶ ἐγένετο ἀετὸς ἕτερος μέγας μεγαλοπτέρυγος πολὺς ὄνυξιν καὶ ἰδοὺ ἡ ἄμπελος αὕτη περιπεπλεγμένη πρὸς αὐτόν καὶ αἱ ῥίζαι αὐτῆς πρὸς αὐτόν καὶ τὰ κλήματα αὐτῆς ἐξαπέστειλεν αὐτῷ τοῦ ποτίσαι αὐτὴν σὺν τῷ βώλῳ τῆς φυτείας αὐτῆς (lxx) ======= Ezekiel 17:8 ============ Eze 17:8 It was planted in good soil beside abundant waters, that it might yield branches and bear fruit and become a splendid vine."' (nasb) Eze 17:8 It was planted in good soil by many waters, To bring forth branches, bear fruit, And become a majestic vine." ' (nkjv) Eze 17:8 Und war doch auf einen guten Boden an viel Wasser gepflanzt, da er wohl hätte können Zweige bringen, Früchte tragen und ein herrlicher Weinstock werden.(dhs) Eze 17:8 εἰς πεδίον καλὸν ἐφ᾽ ὕδατι πολλῷ αὕτη πιαίνεται τοῦ ποιεῖν βλαστοὺς καὶ φέρειν καρπὸν τοῦ εἶναι εἰς ἄμπελον μεγάλην (lxx) ======= Ezekiel 17:9 ============ Eze 17:9 Say, 'Thus says the Lord God, "Will it thrive? Will he not pull up its roots and cut off its fruit, so that it withers--so that all its sprouting leaves wither? And neither by great strength nor by many people can it be raised from its roots again. (nasb) Eze 17:9 "Say, 'Thus says the Lord God: "Will it thrive? Will he not pull up its roots, Cut off its fruit, And leave it to wither? All of its spring leaves will wither, And no great power or many people Will be needed to pluck it up by its roots. (nkjv) Eze 17:9 So sprich nun: Also sagt der HERR HERR: Sollte der geraten? Ja, man wird seine Wurzeln ausrotten und seine Früchte abreißen, und er wird verdorren, daß alle Blätter seines Gewächses verdorren werden; und es wird nicht geschehen durch großen Arm noch viel Volks, daß man ihn von seinen Wurzeln wegführe.(dhs) Eze 17:9 διὰ τοῦτο εἰπόν τάδε λέγει κύριος εἰ κατευθυνεῖ οὐχὶ αἱ ῥίζαι τῆς ἁπαλότητος αὐτῆς καὶ ὁ καρπὸς σαπήσεται καὶ ξηρανθήσεται πάντα τὰ προανατέλλοντα αὐτῆς καὶ οὐκ ἐν βραχίονι μεγάλῳ οὐδ᾽ ἐν λαῷ πολλῷ τοῦ ἐκσπάσαι αὐτὴν ἐκ ῥιζῶν αὐτῆς (lxx) ======= Ezekiel 17:10 ============ Eze 17:10 Behold, though it is planted, will it thrive? Will it not completely wither as soon as the east wind strikes it--wither on the beds where it grew?"'" (nasb) Eze 17:10 Behold, it is planted, Will it thrive? Will it not utterly wither when the east wind touches it? It will wither in the garden terrace where it grew." ' " (nkjv) Eze 17:10 Siehe, er ist zwar gepflanzt; aber sollte er geraten? Say, 'Behold, the king of Babylon came to Jerusalem, took its king and princes and brought them to him in Babylon. (nasb) Eze 17:12 "Say now to the rebellious house: 'Do you not know what these things mean?' Tell them, 'Indeed the king of Babylon went to Jerusalem and took its king and princes, and led them with him to Babylon. (nkjv) Eze 17:12 Sprich doch zu diesem ungehorsamen Haus: Wißt ihr nicht, was das ist? Und sprich: Siehe, es kam ein König zu Babel gen Jerusalem und nahm ihren König und ihre Fürsten und führte sie weg zu sich gen Babel.(dhs) Eze 17:12 υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου εἰπὸν δὴ πρὸς τὸν οἶκον τὸν παραπικραίνοντα οὐκ ἐπίστασθε τί ἦν ταῦτα εἰπόν ὅταν ἔλθῃ βασιλεὺς Βαβυλῶνος ἐπὶ Ιερουσαλημ καὶ λήμψεται τὸν βασιλέα αὐτῆς καὶ τοὺς ἄρχοντας αὐτῆς καὶ ἄξει αὐτοὺς πρὸς ἑαυτὸν εἰς Βαβυλῶνα (lxx) ======= Ezekiel 17:13 ============ Eze 17:13 He took one of the royal family and made a covenant with him, putting him under oath. He also took away the mighty of the land, (nasb) Eze 17:13 And he took the king's offspring, made a covenant with him, and put him under oath. He also took away the mighty of the land, (nkjv) Eze 17:13 Und nahm einen vom königlichen Geschlecht und machte einen Bund mit ihm und nahm einen Eid von ihm; aber die Gewaltigen im Lande nahm er weg,(dhs) Eze 17:13 καὶ λήμψεται ἐκ τοῦ σπέρματος τῆς βασιλείας καὶ διαθήσεται πρὸς αὐτὸν διαθήκην καὶ εἰσάξει αὐτὸν ἐν ἀρᾷ καὶ τοὺς ἡγουμένους τῆς γῆς λήμψεται (lxx) ======= Ezekiel 17:14 ============ Eze 17:14 that the kingdom might be in subjection, not exalting itself, but keeping his covenant that it might continue. (nasb) Eze 17:14 that the kingdom might be brought low and not lift itself up, but that by keeping his covenant it might stand. (nkjv) Eze 17:14 damit das Königreich demütig bliebe und sich nicht erhöbe, auf daß sein Bund gehalten würde und bestünde.(dhs) Eze 17:14 τοῦ γενέσθαι εἰς βασιλείαν ἀσθενῆ τὸ καθόλου μὴ ἐπαίρεσθαι τοῦ φυλάσσειν τὴν διαθήκην αὐτοῦ καὶ ἱστάνειν αὐτήν (lxx) ======= Ezekiel 17:15 ============ Eze 17:15 But he rebelled against him by sending his envoys to Egypt that they might give him horses and many troops. Will he succeed? Will he who does such things escape? Can he indeed break the covenant and escape? (nasb) Eze 17:15 But he rebelled against him by sending his ambassadors to Egypt, that they might give him horses and many people. Will he prosper? Will he who does such things escape? Can he break a covenant and still be delivered? (nkjv) Eze 17:15 Aber derselbe fiel von ihm ab und sandte seine Botschaft nach Ägypten, daß man ihm Rosse und viel Volks schicken sollte. Sollte es dem geraten? Sollte er davonkommen, der solches tut? und sollte der, so den Bund bricht davonkommen?(dhs) Eze 17:15 καὶ ἀποστήσεται ἀπ᾽ αὐτοῦ τοῦ ἐξαποστέλλειν ἀγγέλους ἑαυτοῦ εἰς Αἴγυπτον τοῦ δοῦναι αὐτῷ ἵππους καὶ λαὸν πολύν εἰ κατευθυνεῖ εἰ διασωθήσεται ὁ ποιῶν ἐναντία καὶ παραβαίνων διαθήκην εἰ σωθήσεται (lxx) ======= Ezekiel 17:16 ============ Eze 17:16 As I live,' declares the Lord God, 'Surely in the country of the king who put him on the throne, whose oath he despised and whose covenant he broke, in Babylon he shall die. (nasb) Eze 17:16 As I live,' says the Lord God, 'surely in the place where the king dwells who made him king, whose oath he despised and whose covenant he broke--with him in the midst of Babylon he shall die. (nkjv) Eze 17:16 So wahr ich lebe spricht der HERR HERR, an dem Ort des Königs, der ihn zum König gesetzt hat, dessen Eid er verachtet und dessen Bund er gebrochen hat, da soll er sterben, nämlich zu Babel.(dhs) Eze 17:16 ζῶ ἐγώ λέγει κύριος ἐὰν μὴ ἐν ᾧ τόπῳ ὁ βασιλεὺς ὁ βασιλεύσας αὐτόν ὃς ἠτίμωσεν τὴν ἀράν μου καὶ ὃς παρέβη τὴν διαθήκην μου μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ ἐν μέσῳ Βαβυλῶνος τελευτήσει (lxx) ======= Ezekiel 17:17 ============ Eze 17:17 Pharaoh with his mighty army and great company will not help him in the war, when they cast up ramps and build siege walls to cut off many lives. (nasb) Eze 17:17 Nor will Pharaoh with his mighty army and great company do anything in the war, when they heap up a siege mound and build a wall to cut off many persons. (nkjv) Eze 17:17 Auch wird ihm Pharao nicht beistehen im Kriege mit großem Heer und vielem Volk, wenn man den Wall aufwerfen wird und die Bollwerke bauen, daß viel Leute umgebracht werden.(dhs) Eze 17:17 καὶ οὐκ ἐν δυνάμει μεγάλῃ οὐδ᾽ ἐν ὄχλῳ πολλῷ ποιήσει πρὸς αὐτὸν Φαραω πόλεμον ἐν χαρακοβολίᾳ καὶ ἐν οἰκοδομῇ βελοστάσεων τοῦ ἐξᾶραι ψυχάς (lxx) ======= Ezekiel 17:18 ============ Eze 17:18 Now he despised the oath by breaking the covenant, and behold, he pledged his allegiance, yet did all these things; he shall not escape.'" (nasb) Eze 17:18 Since he despised the oath by breaking the covenant, and in fact gave his hand and still did all these things, he shall not escape.' (nasb) Eze 17:19 Therefore thus says the Lord God: "As I live, surely My oath which he despised, and My covenant which he broke, I will recompense on his own head. Then I will bring him to Babylon and enter into judgment with him there regarding the unfaithful act which he has committed against Me. (nasb) Eze 17:20 I will spread My net over him, and he shall be taken in My snare. I will bring him to Babylon and try him there for the treason which he committed against Me. (nasb) Eze 17:21 All his fugitives with all his troops shall fall by the sword, and those who remain shall be scattered to every wind; and you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken." (nkjv) Eze 17:21 Und alle seine Flüchtigen, die ihm anhingen, sollen durchs Schwert fallen, und ihre übrigen sollen in alle Winde zerstreut werden; und ihr sollt's erfahren, daß ich, der HERR, es geredet habe.(dhs) Eze 17:21 ἐν πάσῃ παρατάξει αὐτοῦ ἐν ῥομφαίᾳ πεσοῦνται καὶ τοὺς καταλοίπους εἰς πάντα ἄνεμον διασπερῶ καὶ ἐπιγνώσεσθε διότι ἐγὼ κύριος λελάληκα (lxx) ======= Ezekiel 17:22 ============ Eze 17:22 Thus says the Lord God, "I will also take a sprig from the lofty top of the cedar and set it out; I will pluck from the topmost of its young twigs a tender one and I will plant it on a high and lofty mountain. (nasb) Eze 17:22 Thus says the Lord God: "I will take also one of the highest branches of the high cedar and set it out. I will crop off from the topmost of its young twigs a tender one, and will plant it on a high and prominent mountain. (nkjv) Eze 17:22 So spricht der HERR HERR: Ich will auch von dem Wipfel des hohen Zedernbaumes nehmen und oben auf seinen Zweigen ein zartes Reis brechen und will's auf einen hohen, erhabenen Berg pflanzen;(dhs) Eze 17:22 διότι τάδε λέγει κύριος καὶ λήμψομαι ἐγὼ ἐκ τῶν ἐπιλέκτων τῆς κέδρου ἐκ κορυφῆς καρδίας αὐτῶν ἀποκνιῶ καὶ καταφυτεύσω ἐγὼ ἐπ᾽ ὄρος ὑψηλόν καὶ κρεμάσω αὐτὸν (lxx) ======= Ezekiel 17:23 ============ Eze 17:23 On the high mountain of Israel I will plant it, that it may bring forth boughs and bear fruit and become a stately cedar. And birds of every kind will nest under it; they will nest in the shade of its branches. (nasb) Eze 17:23 On the mountain height of Israel I will plant it; and it will bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a majestic cedar. Under it will dwell birds of every sort; in the shadow of its branches they will dwell. (nkjv) Eze 17:23 auf den hohen Berg Israels will ich's pflanzen, daß es Zweige gewinne und Früchte bringe und ein herrlicher Zedernbaum werde, also daß allerlei Vögel unter ihm wohnen und allerlei Fliegendes unter dem Schatten seiner Zweige bleiben möge.(dhs) Eze 17:23 ἐν ὄρει μετεώρῳ τοῦ Ισραηλ καὶ καταφυτεύσω καὶ ἐξοίσει βλαστὸν καὶ ποιήσει καρπὸν καὶ ἔσται εἰς κέδρον μεγάλην καὶ ἀναπαύσεται ὑποκάτω αὐτοῦ πᾶν θηρίον καὶ πᾶν πετεινὸν ὑπὸ τὴν σκιὰν αὐτοῦ ἀναπαύσεται τὰ κλήματα αὐτοῦ ἀποκατασταθήσεται (lxx) ======= Ezekiel 17:24 ============ Eze 17:24 All the trees of the field will know that I am the Lord; I bring down the high tree, exalt the low tree, dry up the green tree and make the dry tree flourish. I am the Lord; I have spoken, and I will perform it." (nasb) Eze 17:24 And all the trees of the field shall know that I, the Lord, have brought down the high tree and exalted the low tree, dried up the green tree and made the dry tree flourish; I, the Lord, have spoken and have done it." (nkjv) Eze 17:24 Und sollen alle Feldbäume erfahren, daß ich, der HERR, den hohen Baum erniedrigt habe und den niedrigen Baum erhöht habe und den grünen Baum ausgedörrt und den dürren Baum grünend gemacht habe. Ich, der HERR, rede es und tue es auch.(dhs) Eze 17:24 καὶ γνώσονται πάντα τὰ ξύλα τοῦ πεδίου διότι ἐγὼ κύριος ὁ ταπεινῶν ξύλον ὑψηλὸν καὶ ὑψῶν ξύλον ταπεινὸν καὶ ξηραίνων ξύλον χλωρὸν καὶ ἀναθάλλων ξύλον ξηρόν ἐγὼ κύριος λελάληκα καὶ ποιήσω (lxx) top of the page
