So the girl went and called the child's mother.(nasb) ======= Exodus 2:9 ============ Exo 2:9 And Pharaoh's daughter said unto her, Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give thee thy wages. And the women took the child, and nursed it.(KJV) Exodus 2:9 To whome Pharaohs daughter sayde, Take this childe away, and nurce it for me, and I wil reward thee. So the woman took the child and nursed him.(nasb) ======= Exodus 2:10 ============ Exo 2:10 And the child grew, and she brought him unto Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son. And she named him Moses, and said, "Because I drew him out of the water."(nasb) ======= Exodus 2:11 ============ Exo 2:11 And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren.(KJV) Exodus 2:11 And in those dayes, when Moses was growen, he went forth vnto his brethren, & looked on their burdens: also he sawe an Egyptian smiting an Ebrewe one of his brethren.(Geneva) Exode 2:11 En ce temps-là, Moïse, devenu grand, se rendit vers ses frères, et fut témoin de leurs pénibles travaux. And Moses feared, and said, Surely this thing is known.(KJV) Exodus 2:14 And hee answered, Who made thee a man of authoritie, and a iudge ouer vs? Thinkest thou to kill mee, as thou killedst the Egyptian? Then Moses feared and sayde, Certainly this thing is knowen.(Geneva) Exode 2:14 Et cet homme répondit: Qui t'a établi chef et juge sur nous? Are you intending to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?" Then Moses was afraid and said, "Surely the matter has become known." (nasb) ======= Exodus 2:15 ============ Exo 2:15 Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to slay Moses. Alors Moïse se leva, prit leur défense, et fit boire leur troupeau.(FR) 17 ׃2 וַיָּבֹ֥אוּ הָרֹעִ֖ים וַיְגָרְשׁ֑וּם וַיָּ֤קָם מֹשֶׁה֙ וַיּ֣וֹשִׁעָ֔ן וַיַּ֖שְׁקְ אֶת־צֹאנָֽם׃ Exodus Exo 2:17 Then the shepherds came and drove them away, but Moses stood up and helped them and watered their flock.(nasb) ======= Exodus 2:18 ============ Exo 2:18 And when they came to Reuel their father, he said, How is it that ye are come so soon to day?(KJV) Exodus 2:18 And whe they came to Reuel their father, he said, Howe are ye come so soone to day?(Geneva) Exode 2:18 Quand elles furent de retour auprès de Réuel, leur père, il dit: Pourquoi revenez-vous si tôt aujourd'hui?(FR) 18 ׃2 וַתָּבֹ֕אנָה אֶל־רְעוּאֵ֖ל אֲבִיהֶ֑ן וַיֹּ֕אמֶר מַדּ֛וּעַ מִהַרְתֶּ֥ן בֹּ֖א הַיּֽוֹם׃ Exodus Exo 2:18 When they came to Reuel their father, he said, "Why have you come back so soon today?"(nasb) ======= Exodus 2:19 ============ Exo 2:19 And they said, An Egyptian delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds, and also drew water enough for us, and watered the flock.(KJV) Exodus 2:19 And they saide, A man of Egypt deliuered vs from the hand of the shepherdes, and also drew vs water ynough, and watered the sheepe.(Geneva) Exode 2:19 Elles répondirent: Un Egyptien nous a délivrées de la main des bergers, et même il nous a puisé de l'eau, et a fait boire le troupeau.(FR) 19 ׃2 וַתֹּאמַ֕רְןָ אִ֣ישׁ מִצְרִ֔י הִצִּילָ֖נוּ מִיַּ֣ד הָרֹעִ֑ים וְגַם־דָּלֹ֤ה דָלָה֙ לָ֔נוּ וַיַּ֖שְׁקְ אֶת־הַצֹּֽאן׃ Exodus Exo 2:19 So they said, "An Egyptian delivered us from the hand of the shepherds, and what is more, he even drew the water for us and watered the flock."(nasb) ======= Exodus 2:20 ============ Exo 2:20 And he said unto his daughters, And where is he? why is it that ye have left the man? call him, that he may eat bread.(KJV) Exodus 2:20 Then he saide vnto his daughters, And where is he? why haue ye so left the man? call him that he may eate bread.(Geneva) Exode 2:20 Et il dit à ses filles: Où est-il? Appelez-le, pour qu'il prenne quelque nourriture.(FR) 20 ׃2 וַיֹּ֥אמֶר אֶל־בְּנֹתָ֖יו וְאַיּ֑וֹ לָ֤מָּה זֶּה֙ עֲזַבְתֶּ֣ן אֶת־הָאִ֔ישׁ קִרְאֶ֥ן ל֖וֹ וְיֹ֥אכַל לָֽחֶם׃ Exodus Exo 2:20 He said to his daughters, "Where is he then? Why is it that you have left the man behind? Invite him to have something to eat."(nasb) ======= Exodus 2:21 ============ Exo 2:21 And Moses was content to dwell with the man: and he gave Moses Zipporah his daughter.(KJV) Exodus 2:21 And Moses agreed to dwell with the man: who gaue vnto Moses Zipporah his daughter:(Geneva) Exode 2:21 Moïse se décida à demeurer chez cet homme, qui lui donna pour femme Séphora, sa fille.(FR) 21 ׃2 וַיּ֥וֹאֶל מֹשֶׁ֖ה לָשֶׁ֣בֶת אֶת־הָאִ֑ישׁ וַיִּתֵּ֛ן אֶת־צִפֹּרָ֥ה בִתּ֖וֹ לְמֹשֶֽׁה׃ Exodus Exo 2:21 Moses was willing to dwell with the man, and he gave his daughter Zipporah to Moses.(nasb) ======= Exodus 2:22 ============ Exo 2:22 And she bare him a son, and he called his name Gershom: for he said, I have been a stranger in a strange land.(KJV) Exodus 2:22 And she bare a sonne, whose name he called Gershom: for he said, I haue bene a stranger in a strange lande.(Geneva) Exode 2:22 Elle enfanta un fils, qu'il appela du nom de Guerschom, car, dit-il, j'habite un pays étranger.(FR) 22 ׃2 וַתֵּ֣לֶד בֵּ֔ן וַיִּקְרָ֥א אֶת־שְׁמ֖וֹ גֵּרְשֹׁ֑ם כִּ֣י אָמַ֔ר גֵּ֣ר הָיִ֔יתִי בְּאֶ֖רֶץ נָכְרִיָּֽה׃ פ Exodus Exo 2:22 Then she gave birth to a son, and he named him Gershom, for he said, "I have been a sojourner in a foreign land."(nasb) ======= Exodus 2:23 ============ Exo 2:23 And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.(KJV) Exodus 2:23 Then in processe of time, the King of Egypt dyed, and the children of Israel sighed for the bondage and cryed: and their crie for the bondage came vp vnto God.(Geneva) Exode 2:23 Longtemps après, le roi d'Egypte mourut, et les enfants d'Israël gémissaient encore sous la servitude, et poussaient des cris.
