Or would that we had died in this wilderness!(nasb) ======= Numbers 14:3 ============ Num 14:3 And wherefore hath the LORD brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?(KJV) Numbers 14:3 Wherefore nowe hath the Lorde brought vs into this lande to fall vpon the sworde? Our wiues, and our children shall be a pray: were it not better for vs to returne into Egypt?(Geneva) Nombres 14:3 Pourquoi l'Eternel nous fait-il aller dans ce pays, où nous tomberons par l'épée, où nos femmes et nos petits enfants deviendront une proie? Ne vaut-il pas mieux pour nous retourner en Egypte?(FR) 3 ׃14 וְלָמָ֣ה יְ֠הוָה מֵבִ֨יא אֹתָ֜נוּ אֶל־הָאָ֤רֶץ הַזֹּאת֙ לִנְפֹּ֣ל בַּחֶ֔רֶב נָשֵׁ֥ינוּ וְטַפֵּ֖נוּ יִהְי֣וּ לָבַ֑ז הֲל֧וֹא ט֦וֹב לָ֖נוּ שׁ֥וּב מִצְרָֽיְמָה׃ Numbers Num 14:3 Why is the Lord bringing us into this land, to fall by the sword? Their protection has been removed from them, and the Lord is with us; do not fear them."(nasb) ======= Numbers 14:10 ============ Num 14:10 But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. Then the glory of the Lord appeared in the tent of meeting to all the sons of Israel. (nasb) ======= Numbers 14:11 ============ Num 14:11 And the LORD said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have shewed among them?(KJV) Numbers 14:11 And the Lord said vnto Moses, How long will this people prouoke me, and howe long will it be, yer they beleeue me, for al the signes which I haue shewed among them?(Geneva) Nombres 14:11 Et l'Eternel dit à Moïse: Jusqu'à quand ce peuple me méprisera-t-il? Jusqu'à quand ne croira-t-il pas en moi, malgré tous les prodiges que j'ai faits au milieu de lui?(FR) 11 ׃14 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֔ה עַד־אָ֥נָה יְנַאֲצֻ֖נִי הָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֑ה וְעַד־אָ֙נָה֙ לֹא־יַאֲמִ֣ינוּ בִ֔י בְּכֹל֙ הָֽאֹת֔וֹת אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשִׂ֖יתִי בְּקִרְבּֽוֹ׃ Numbers Num 14:11 The Lord said to Moses, "How long will this people spurn Me? And how long will they not believe in Me, despite all the signs which I have performed in their midst?(nasb) ======= Numbers 14:12 ============ Num 14:12 I will smite them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make of thee a greater nation and mightier than they.(KJV) Numbers 14:12 I will smite them with the pestilence and destroy them, and will make thee a greater nation and mightier then they.(Geneva) Nombres 14:12 Je le frapperai par la peste, et je le détruirai; mais je ferai de toi une nation plus grande et plus puissante que lui.(FR) 12 ׃14 אַכֶּ֥נּוּ בַדֶּ֖בֶר וְאוֹרִשֶׁ֑נּוּ וְאֶֽעֱשֶׂה֙ אֹֽתְךָ֔ לְגוֹי־גָּד֥וֹל וְעָצ֖וּם מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃ Numbers Num 14:12 I will smite them with pestilence and dispossess them, and I will make you into a nation greater and mightier than they."(nasb) ======= Numbers 14:13 ============ Num 14:13 And Moses said unto the LORD, Then the Egyptians shall hear it, (for thou broughtest up this people in thy might from among them;)(KJV) Numbers 14:13 But Moses saide vnto the Lorde, When the Egyptians shall heare it, (for thou broughtest this people by thy power from among them)(Geneva) Nombres 14:13 Moïse dit à l'Eternel: Les Egyptiens l'apprendront, eux du milieu desquels tu as fait monter ce peuple par ta puissance,(FR) 13 ׃14 וַיֹּ֥אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֖ה אֶל־יְהוָ֑ה וְשָׁמְע֣וּ מִצְרַ֔יִם כִּֽי־הֶעֱלִ֧יתָ בְכֹחֲךָ֛ אֶת־הָעָ֥ם הַזֶּ֖ה מִקִּרְבּֽוֹ׃ Numbers Num 14:13 But Moses said to the Lord, "Then the Egyptians will hear of it, for by Your strength You brought up this people from their midst,(nasb) ======= Numbers 14:14 ============ Num 14:14 And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land: for they have heard that thou LORD art among this people, that thou LORD art seen face to face, and that thy cloud standeth over them, and that thou goest before them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night.(KJV) Numbers 14:14 Then they shall say to the inhabitants of this land, (for they haue heard that thou, Lorde, art among this people, and that thou, Lorde, art seene face to face, and that thy cloude standeth ouer them, and that thou goest before them by day time in a pillar of a cloude, and in a pillar of fire by night)(Geneva) Nombres 14:14 et ils le diront aux habitants de ce pays. Ils savaient que toi, l'Eternel, tu es au milieu de ce peuple; que tu apparais visiblement, toi, l'Eternel; que ta nuée se tient sur lui; que tu marches devant lui le jour dans une colonne de nuée, et la nuit dans une colonne de feu.(FR) 14 ׃14 וְאָמְר֗וּ אֶל־יוֹשֵׁב֮ הָאָ֣רֶץ הַזֹּאת֒ שָֽׁמְעוּ֙ כִּֽי־אַתָּ֣ה יְהוָ֔ה בְּקֶ֖רֶב הָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֑ה אֲשֶׁר־עַ֨יִן בְּעַ֜יִן נִרְאָ֣ה ׀ אַתָּ֣ה יְהוָ֗ה וַעֲנָֽנְךָ֙ עֹמֵ֣ד עֲלֵהֶ֔ם וּבְעַמֻּ֣ד עָנָ֗ן אַתָּ֨ה הֹלֵ֤ךְ לִפְנֵיהֶם֙ יוֹמָ֔ם וּבְעַמּ֥וּד אֵ֖שׁ לָֽיְלָה׃ Numbers Num 14:14 and they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land. They have heard that You, O Lord, are in the midst of this people, for You, O Lord, are seen eye to eye, while Your cloud stands over them; and You go before them in a pillar of cloud by day and in a pillar of fire by night.(nasb) ======= Numbers 14:15 ============ Num 14:15 Now if thou shalt kill all this people as one man, then the nations which have heard the fame of thee will speak, saying,(KJV) Numbers 14:15 That thou wilt kill this people as one man: so the heathen which haue heard the fame of thee, shall thus say,(Geneva) Nombres 14:15 Si tu fais mourir ce peuple comme un seul homme, les nations qui ont entendu parler de toi diront:(FR) 15 ׃14 וְהֵמַתָּ֛ה אֶת־הָעָ֥ם הַזֶּ֖ה כְּאִ֣ישׁ אֶחָ֑ד וְאָֽמְרוּ֙ הַגּוֹיִ֔ם אֲשֶׁר־שָׁמְע֥וּ אֶֽת־שִׁמְעֲךָ֖ לֵאמֹֽר׃ Numbers Num 14:15 Now if You slay this people as one man, then the nations who have heard of Your fame will say,(nasb) ======= Numbers 14:16 ============ Num 14:16 Because the LORD was not able to bring this people into the land which he sware unto them, therefore he hath slain them in the wilderness.(KJV) Numbers 14:16 Because the Lord was not able to bring this people into the lande, which he sware vnto them, therefore hath he slaine them in the wildernesse.(Geneva) Nombres 14:16 L'Eternel n'avait pas le pouvoir de mener ce peuple dans le pays qu'il avait juré de lui donner: c'est pour cela qu'il l'a égorgé dans le désert.(FR) 16 ׃14 מִבִּלְתִּ֞י יְכֹ֣לֶת יְהוָ֗ה לְהָבִיא֙ אֶת־הָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֔ה אֶל־הָאָ֖רֶץ אֲשֶׁר־נִשְׁבַּ֣ע לָהֶ֑ם וַיִּשְׁחָטֵ֖ם בַּמִּדְבָּֽר׃ Numbers Num 14:16 'Because the Lord could not bring this people into the land which He promised them by oath, therefore He slaughtered them in the wilderness.'(nasb) ======= Numbers 14:17 ============ Num 14:17 And now, I beseech thee, let the power of my LORD be great, according as thou hast spoken, saying,(KJV) Numbers 14:17 And now, I beseech thee, let the power of my Lorde be great, according as thou hast spoken, saying,(Geneva) Nombres 14:17 Maintenant, que la puissance du Seigneur se montre dans sa grandeur, comme tu l'as déclaré en disant:(FR) 17 ׃14 וְעַתָּ֕ה יִגְדַּל־נָ֖א כֹּ֣חַ אֲדֹנָ֑י כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר דִּבַּ֖רְתָּ לֵאמֹֽר׃ Numbers Num 14:17 But now, I pray, let the power of the Lord be great, just as You have declared,(nasb) ======= Numbers 14:18 ============ Num 14:18 The LORD is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.(KJV) Numbers 14:18 The Lord is slowe to anger, and of great mercie, and forgiuing iniquitie, and sinne, but not making the wicked innocent, and visiting the wickednes of the fathers vpon the children, in the thirde and fourth generation:(Geneva) Nombres 14:18 L'Eternel est lent à la colère et riche en bonté, il pardonne l'iniquité et la rébellion; mais il ne tient point le coupable pour innocent, et il punit l'iniquité des pères sur les enfants jusqu'à la troisième et la quatrième génération.(FR) 18 ׃14 יְהוָ֗ה אֶ֤רֶךְ אַפַּ֙יִם֙ וְרַב־חֶ֔סֶד נֹשֵׂ֥א עָוֺ֖ן וָפָ֑שַׁע וְנַקֵּה֙ לֹ֣א יְנַקֶּ֔ה פֹּקֵ֞ד עֲוֺ֤ן אָבוֹת֙ עַל־בָּנִ֔ים עַל־שִׁלֵּשִׁ֖ים וְעַל־רִבֵּעִֽים׃ Numbers Num 14:18 'The Lord is slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, forgiving iniquity and transgression; but He will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generations.'(nasb) ======= Numbers 14:19 ============ Num 14:19 Pardon, I beseech thee, the iniquity of this people according unto the greatness of thy mercy, and as thou hast forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now.(KJV) Numbers 14:19 Be mercifull, I beseech thee, vnto the iniquitie of this people, according to thy great mercie, and as thou hast forgiuen this people from Egypt, euen vntill nowe.(Geneva) Nombres 14:19 Pardonne l'iniquité de ce peuple, selon la grandeur de ta miséricorde, comme tu as pardonné à ce peuple depuis l'Egypte jusqu'ici.(FR) 19 ׃14 סְלַֽח־נָ֗א לַעֲוֺ֛ן הָעָ֥ם הַזֶּ֖ה כְּגֹ֣דֶל חַסְדֶּ֑ךָ וְכַאֲשֶׁ֤ר נָשָׂ֙אתָה֙ לָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֔ה מִמִּצְרַ֖יִם וְעַד־הֵֽנָּה׃ Numbers Num 14:19 Pardon, I pray, the iniquity of this people according to the greatness of Your lovingkindness, just as You also have forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now." Ne vous faites pas battre par vos ennemis.(FR) 42 ׃14 אַֽל־תַּעֲל֔וּ כִּ֛י אֵ֥ין יְהוָ֖ה בְּקִרְבְּכֶ֑ם וְלֹא֙ תִּנָּ֣גְפ֔וּ לִפְנֵ֖י אֹיְבֵיכֶֽם׃ Numbers Num 14:42 Do not go up, or you will be struck down before your enemies, for the Lord is not among you.(nasb) ======= Numbers 14:43 ============ Num 14:43 For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there before you, and ye shall fall by the sword: because ye are turned away from the LORD, therefore the LORD will not be with you.(KJV) Numbers 14:43 For the Amalekites & the Canaanites are there before you, and ye shall fall by the sworde: for in as much as ye are turned away from the Lord, the Lord also will not be with you.(Geneva) Nombres 14:43 Car les Amalécites et les Cananéens sont là devant vous, et vous tomberiez par l'épée. Parce que vous vous êtes détournés de l'Eternel, l'Eternel ne sera point avec vous.(FR) 43 ׃14 כִּי֩ הָעֲמָלֵקִ֨י וְהַכְּנַעֲנִ֥י שָׁם֙ לִפְנֵיכֶ֔ם וּנְפַלְתֶּ֖ם בֶּחָ֑רֶב כִּֽי־עַל־כֵּ֤ן שַׁבְתֶּם֙ מֵאַחֲרֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה וְלֹא־יִהְיֶ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה עִמָּכֶֽם׃ Numbers Num 14:43 For the Amalekites and the Canaanites will be there in front of you, and you will fall by the sword, inasmuch as you have turned back from following the Lord.
