Today's Date: 3/9/2025 ======= Deuteronomy 13:1 ============ Deu 13:1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,(KJV) Deuteronomy 13:1 If there arise amog you a prophet or a dreamer of dreames, (and giue thee a signe or wonder,(Geneva) Deutéronome 13:1 S'il s'élève au milieu de toi un prophète ou un songeur qui t'annonce un signe ou un prodige,(FR) 2 ׃13 כִּֽי־יָק֤וּם בְּקִרְבְּךָ֙ נָבִ֔יא א֖וֹ חֹלֵ֣ם חֲל֑וֹם וְנָתַ֥ן אֵלֶ֛יךָ א֖וֹת א֥וֹ מוֹפֵֽת׃ Deuteronomy Deu 13:1 "If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder,(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 13:2 ============ Deu 13:2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;(KJV) Deuteronomy 13:2 And the signe and the wonder, which hee hath tolde thee, come to passe) saying, Let vs go after other gods, which thou hast not knowen, and let vs serue them,(Geneva) Deutéronome 13:2 et qu'il y ait accomplissement du signe ou du prodige dont il t'a parlé en disant: Allons après d'autres dieux, -des dieux que tu ne connais point, -et servons-les!(FR) 3 ׃13 וּבָ֤א הָאוֹת֙ וְהַמּוֹפֵ֔ת אֲשֶׁר־דִּבֶּ֥ר אֵלֶ֖יךָ לֵאמֹ֑ר נֽ͏ֵלְכָ֞ה אַחֲרֵ֨י אֱלֹהִ֧ים אֲחֵרִ֛ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹֽא־יְדַעְתָּ֖ם וְנָֽעָבְדֵֽם׃ Deuteronomy Deu 13:2 and the sign or the wonder comes true, concerning which he spoke to you, saying, 'Let us go after other gods (whom you have not known) and let us serve them,'(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 13:3 ============ Deu 13:3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.(KJV) Deuteronomy 13:3 Thou shalt not hearken vnto the wordes of the prophet, or vnto that dreamer of dreames: for the Lord your God prooueth you, to knowe whether ye loue the Lord your God with al your heart, and with all your soule.(Geneva) Deutéronome 13:3 tu n'écouteras pas les paroles de ce prophète ou de ce songeur, car c'est l'Eternel, votre Dieu, qui vous met à l'épreuve pour savoir si vous aimez l'Eternel, votre Dieu, de tout votre coeur et de toute votre âme.(FR) 4 ׃13 לֹ֣א תִשְׁמַ֗ע אֶל־דִּבְרֵי֙ הַנָּבִ֣יא הַה֔וּא א֛וֹ אֶל־חוֹלֵ֥ם הַחֲל֖וֹם הַה֑וּא כִּ֣י מְנַסֶּ֞ה יְהוָ֤ה אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶם֙ אֶתְכֶ֔ם לָדַ֗עַת הֲיִשְׁכֶ֤ם אֹֽהֲבִים֙ אֶת־יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֔ם בְּכָל־לְבַבְכֶ֖ם וּבְכָל־נַפְשְׁכֶֽם׃ Deuteronomy Deu 13:3 you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams; for the Lord your God is testing you to find out if you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 13:4 ============ Deu 13:4 Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.(KJV) Deuteronomy 13:4 Yee shall walke after the Lorde your God and feare him, and shall keepe his commaundements, and hearken vnto his voyce, and yee shall serue him, and cleaue vnto him.(Geneva) Deutéronome 13:4 Vous irez après l'Eternel, votre Dieu, et vous le craindrez; vous observerez ses commandements, vous obéirez à sa voix, vous le servirez, et vous vous attacherez à lui.(FR) 5 ׃13 אַחֲרֵ֨י יְהוָ֧ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֛ם תֵּלֵ֖כוּ וְאֹת֣וֹ תִירָ֑אוּ וְאֶת־מִצְוֺתָ֤יו תִּשְׁמֹ֙רוּ֙ וּבְקֹל֣וֹ תִשְׁמָ֔עוּ וְאֹת֥וֹ תַעֲבֹ֖דוּ וּב֥וֹ תִדְבָּקֽוּן׃ Deuteronomy Deu 13:4 You shall follow the Lord your God and fear Him; and you shall keep His commandments, listen to His voice, serve Him, and cling to Him.(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 13:5 ============ Deu 13:5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.(KJV) Deuteronomy 13:5 But that prophet, or that dreamer of dreames, he shall be slaine, because hee hath spoken to turne you away from the Lord your God (which brought you out of the lande of Egypt, and deliuered you out of the house of bodage) to thrust thee out of the way, wherein the Lorde thy God commanded thee to walke: so shalt thou take the euill away foorth of the middes of thee.(Geneva) Deutéronome 13:5 Ce prophète ou ce songeur sera puni de mort, car il a parlé de révolte contre l'Eternel, votre Dieu, qui vous a fait sortir du pays d'Egypte et vous a délivrés de la maison de servitude, et il a voulu te détourner de la voie dans laquelle l'Eternel, ton Dieu, t'a ordonné de marcher. Tu ôteras ainsi le mal du milieu de toi.(FR) 6 ׃13 וְהַנָּבִ֣יא הַה֡וּא א֣וֹ חֹלֵם֩ הַחֲל֨וֹם הַה֜וּא יוּמָ֗ת כִּ֣י דִבֶּר־סָ֠רָה עַל־יְהוָ֨ה אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֜ם הַמּוֹצִ֥יא אֶתְכֶ֣ם ׀ מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֗יִם וְהַפֹּֽדְךָ֙ מִבֵּ֣ית עֲבָדִ֔ים לְהַדִּֽיחֲךָ֙ מִן־הַדֶּ֔רֶךְ אֲשֶׁ֧ר צִוְּךָ֛ יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ לָלֶ֣כֶת בָּ֑הּ וּבִֽעַרְתָּ֥ הָרָ֖ע מִקִּרְבֶּֽךָ׃ Deuteronomy Deu 13:5 But that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death, because he has counseled rebellion against the Lord your God who brought you from the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the house of slavery, to seduce you from the way in which the Lord your God commanded you to walk. neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him:(KJV) Deuteronomy 13:8 Thou shalt not cosent vnto him, nor heare him, neither shall thine eye pitie him, nor shewe mercie, nor keepe him secret:(Geneva) Deutéronome 13:8 tu n'y consentiras pas, et tu ne l'écouteras pas; tu ne jetteras pas sur lui un regard de pitié, tu ne l'épargneras pas, et tu ne le couvriras pas.(FR) 9 ׃13 לֹא־תֹאבֶ֣ה ל֔וֹ וְלֹ֥א תִשְׁמַ֖ע אֵלָ֑יו וְלֹא־תָח֤וֹס עֵֽינְךָ֙ עָלָ֔יו וְלֹֽא־תַחְמֹ֥ל וְלֹֽא־תְכַסֶּ֖ה עָלָֽיו׃ Deuteronomy Deu 13:8 you shall not yield to him or listen to him; and your eye shall not pity him, nor shall you spare or conceal him.(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 13:9 ============ Deu 13:9 But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.(KJV) Deuteronomy 13:9 But thou shalt euen kill him: thine hand shall be first vpon him to put him to death, and then the handes of all the people.(Geneva) Deutéronome 13:9 Mais tu le feras mourir; ta main se lèvera la première sur lui pour le mettre à mort, et la main de tout le peuple ensuite;(FR) 10 ׃13 כִּ֤י הָרֹג֙ תַּֽהַרְגֶ֔נּוּ יָ֥דְךָ֛ תִּֽהְיֶה־בּ֥וֹ בָרִֽאשׁוֹנָ֖ה לַהֲמִית֑וֹ וְיַ֥ד כָּל־הָעָ֖ם בָּאַחֲרֹנָֽה׃ Deuteronomy Deu 13:9 But you shall surely kill him; your hand shall be first against him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 13:10 ============ Deu 13:10 And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.(KJV) Deuteronomy 13:10 And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he dye (because he hath gone about to thrust thee away from the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of ye land of Egypt, from ye house of bondage)(Geneva) Deutéronome 13:10 tu le lapideras, et il mourra, parce qu'il a cherché à te détourner de l'Eternel, ton Dieu, qui t'a fait sortir du pays d'Egypte, de la maison de servitude.(FR) 11 ׃13 וּסְקַלְתּ֥וֹ בָאֲבָנִ֖ים וָמֵ֑ת כִּ֣י בִקֵּ֗שׁ לְהַדִּֽיחֲךָ֙ מֵעַל֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ הַמּוֹצִיאֲךָ֛ מֵאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרַ֖יִם מִבֵּ֥ית עֲבָדִֽים׃ Deuteronomy Deu 13:10 So you shall stone him to death because he has sought to seduce you from the Lord your God who brought you out from the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 13:11 ============ Deu 13:11 And all Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall do no more any such wickedness as this is among you.(KJV) Deuteronomy 13:11 That all Israel may heare and feare, and doe no more any such wickednesse as this among you.(Geneva) Deutéronome 13:11 Il en sera ainsi, afin que tout Israël entende et craigne, et que l'on ne commette plus un acte aussi criminel au milieu de toi.(FR) 12 ׃13 וְכָל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל יִשְׁמְע֖וּ וְיִֽרָא֑וּן וְלֹֽא־יוֹסִ֣פוּ לַעֲשׂ֗וֹת כַּדָּבָ֥ר הָרָ֛ע הַזֶּ֖ה בְּקִרְבֶּֽךָ׃ ס Deuteronomy Deu 13:11 Then all Israel will hear and be afraid, and will never again do such a wicked thing among you.(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 13:12 ============ Deu 13:12 If thou shalt hear say in one of thy cities, which the LORD thy God hath given thee to dwell there, saying,(KJV) Deuteronomy 13:12 If thou shalt heare say (concerning any of thy cities which the Lord thy God hath giuen thee to dwell in)(Geneva) Deutéronome 13:12 Si tu entends dire au sujet de l'une des villes que t'a données pour demeure l'Eternel, ton Dieu:(FR) 13 ׃13 כִּֽי־תִשְׁמַ֞ע בְּאַחַ֣ת עָרֶ֗יךָ אֲשֶׁר֩ יְהוָ֨ה אֱלֹהֶ֜יךָ נֹתֵ֥ן לְךָ֛ לָשֶׁ֥בֶת שָׁ֖ם לֵאמֹֽר׃ Deuteronomy Deu 13:12 "If you hear in one of your cities, which the Lord your God is giving you to live in, anyone saying that(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 13:13 ============ Deu 13:13 Certain men, the children of Belial, are gone out from among you, and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which ye have not known;(KJV) Deuteronomy 13:13 Wicked men are gone out from among you, & haue drawen away the inhabitants of their citie, saying, Let vs go and serue other gods, which ye haue not knowen,(Geneva) Deutéronome 13:13 Des gens pervers sont sortis du milieu de toi, et ont séduit les habitants de leur ville en disant: Allons, et servons d'autres dieux! des dieux que tu ne connais point(FR) 14 ׃13 יָצְא֞וּ אֲנָשִׁ֤ים בְּנֵֽי־בְלִיַּ֙עַל֙ מִקִּרְבֶּ֔ךָ וַיַּדִּ֛יחוּ אֶת־יֹשְׁבֵ֥י עִירָ֖ם לֵאמֹ֑ר נֵלְכָ֗ה וְנַעַבְדָ֛ה אֱלֹהִ֥ים אֲחֵרִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹא־יְדַעְתֶּֽם׃ Deuteronomy Deu 13:13 some worthless men have gone out from among you and have seduced the inhabitants of their city, saying, 'Let us go and serve other gods' (whom you have not known),(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 13:14 ============ Deu 13:14 Then shalt thou enquire, and make search, and ask diligently; and, behold, if it be truth, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought among you;(KJV) Deuteronomy 13:14 Then thou shalt seeke, and make searche and enquire diligently: and if it be true, and the thing certaine, that such abomination is wrought among you,(Geneva) Deutéronome 13:14 tu feras des recherches, tu examineras, tu interrogeras avec soin. La chose est-elle vraie, le fait est-il établi, cette abomination a-t-elle été commise au milieu de toi,(FR) 15 ׃13 וְדָרַשְׁתָּ֧ וְחָקַרְתָּ֧ וְשָׁאַלְתָּ֖ הֵיטֵ֑ב וְהִנֵּ֤ה אֱמֶת֙ נָכ֣וֹן הַדָּבָ֔ר נֶעֶשְׂתָ֛ה הַתּוֹעֵבָ֥ה הַזֹּ֖את בְּקִרְבֶּֽךָ׃ Deuteronomy Deu 13:14 then you shall investigate and search out and inquire thoroughly. If it is true and the matter established that this abomination has been done among you,(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 13:15 ============ Deu 13:15 Thou shalt surely smite the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that is therein, and the cattle thereof, with the edge of the sword.(KJV) Deuteronomy 13:15 Thou shalt euen slay the inhabitants of that citie with the edge of the sworde: destroy it vtterly, and all that is therein, and the cattel thereof with the edge of the sworde.(Geneva) Deutéronome 13:15 alors tu frapperas du tranchant de l'épée les habitants de cette ville, tu la dévoueras par interdit avec tout ce qui s'y trouvera, et tu en passeras le bétail au fil de l'épée.(FR) 16 ׃13 הַכֵּ֣ה תַכֶּ֗ה אֶת־יֹ֥[t]שְׁבֵ֛י הָעִ֥יר *ההוא **הַהִ֖יא לְפִי־חָ֑רֶב הַחֲרֵ֨ם אֹתָ֧הּ וְאֶת־כָּל־אֲשֶׁר־בָּ֛הּ וְאֶת־בְּהֶמְתָּ֖הּ לְפִי־חָֽרֶב׃ Deuteronomy Deu 13:15 you shall surely strike the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying it and all that is in it and its cattle with the edge of the sword.(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 13:16 ============ Deu 13:16 And thou shalt gather all the spoil of it into the midst of the street thereof, and shalt burn with fire the city, and all the spoil thereof every whit, for the LORD thy God: and it shall be an heap for ever; it shall not be built again.(KJV) Deuteronomy 13:16 And thou shalt gather all the spoyle of it into the middes of the streete thereof, and burne with fire the citie and all the spoyle thereof euery whit, vnto the Lorde thy God: and it shall be an heape for euer: it shall not be built againe.(Geneva) Deutéronome 13:16 Tu amasseras tout le butin au milieu de la place, et tu brûleras entièrement au feu la ville avec tout son butin, devant l'Eternel, ton Dieu: elle sera pour toujours un monceau de ruines, elle ne sera jamais rebâtie.(FR) 17 ׃13 וְאֶת־כָּל־שְׁלָלָ֗הּ תִּקְבֹּץ֮ אֶל־תּ֣וֹךְ רְחֹבָהּ֒ וְשָׂרַפְתָּ֨ בָאֵ֜שׁ אֶת־הָעִ֤יר וְאֶת־כָּל־שְׁלָלָהּ֙ כָּלִ֔יל לַיהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ וְהָיְתָה֙ תֵּ֣ל עוֹלָ֔ם לֹ֥א תִבָּנֶ֖ה עֽוֹד׃ Deuteronomy Deu 13:16 Then you shall gather all its booty into the middle of its open square and burn the city and all its booty with fire as a whole burnt offering to the Lord your God; and it shall be a ruin forever. It shall never be rebuilt.(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 13:17 ============ Deu 13:17 And there shall cleave nought of the cursed thing to thine hand: that the LORD may turn from the fierceness of his anger, and shew thee mercy, and have compassion upon thee, and multiply thee, as he hath sworn unto thy fathers;(KJV) Deuteronomy 13:17 And there shall cleaue nothing of ye damned thing to thine hand, that the Lord may turne from the fiercenes of his wrath, and shewe thee mercie, and haue compassion on thee and multiplie thee, as he hath sworne vnto thy fathers:(Geneva) Deutéronome 13:17 Rien de ce qui sera dévoué par interdit ne s'attachera à ta main, afin que l'Eternel revienne de l'ardeur de sa colère, qu'il te fasse miséricorde et grâce, et qu'il te multiplie, comme il l'a juré à tes pères,(FR) 18 ׃13 וְלֹֽא־יִדְבַּ֧ק בְּיָדְךָ֛ מְא֖וּמָה מִן־הַחֵ֑רֶם לְמַעַן֩ יָשׁ֨וּב יְהוָ֜ה מֵחֲר֣וֹן אַפּ֗וֹ וְנָֽתַן־לְךָ֤ רַחֲמִים֙ וְרִֽחַמְךָ֣ וְהִרְבֶּ֔ךָ כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר נִשְׁבַּ֖ע לַאֲבֹתֶֽיךָ׃ Deuteronomy Deu 13:17 Nothing from that which is put under the ban shall cling to your hand, in order that the Lord may turn from His burning anger and show mercy to you, and have compassion on you and make you increase, just as He has sworn to your fathers,(nasb) ======= Deuteronomy 13:18 ============ Deu 13:18 When thou shalt hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep all his commandments which I command thee this day, to do that which is right in the eyes of the LORD thy God.(kjv) Deuteronomy 13:18 When thou shalt obey the voyce of the Lord thy God, and keepe all his commandements which I command thee this day, that thou do that which is right in the eyes of the Lord thy God.(Geneva) Deutéronome 13:18 si tu obéis à la voix de l'Eternel, ton Dieu, en observant tous ses commandements que je te prescris aujourd'hui, et en faisant ce qui est droit aux yeux de l'Eternel, ton Dieu.(FR) 19 ׃13 כִּ֣י תִשְׁמַ֗ע בְּקוֹל֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ לִשְׁמֹר֙ אֶת־כָּל־מִצְוֺתָ֔יו אֲשֶׁ֛ר אָנֹכִ֥י מְצַוְּךָ֖ הַיּ֑וֹם לַעֲשׂוֹת֙ הַיָּשָׁ֔ר בְּעֵינֵ֖י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃ ס Deuteronomy Deu 13:18 if you will listen to the voice of the Lord your God, keeping all His commandments which I am commanding you today, and doing what is right in the sight of the Lord your God.
