Elle le fit entrer dans la maison de son père; et quand le père de la jeune femme le vit, il le reçut avec joie.(FR) 3 ׃19 וַיָּ֨קָם אִישָׁ֜הּ וַיֵּ֣לֶךְ אַחֲרֶ֗יהָ לְדַבֵּ֤ר עַל־לִבָּהּ֙ *להשיבו **לַהֲשִׁיבָ֔הּ וְנַעֲר֥וֹ עִמּ֖וֹ וְצֶ֣מֶד חֲמֹרִ֑ים וַתְּבִיאֵ֙הוּ֙ בֵּ֣ית אָבִ֔יהָ וַיִּרְאֵ֙הוּ֙ אֲבִ֣י הַֽנַּעֲרָ֔ה וַיִּשְׂמַ֖ח לִקְרָאתֽוֹ׃ Judges Jdg 19:3 Then her husband arose and went after her to speak tenderly to her in order to bring her back, taking with him his servant and a pair of donkeys. So she brought him into her father's house, and when the girl's father saw him, he was glad to meet him.(nasb) ======= Judges 19:4 ============ Jdg 19:4 And his father in law, the damsel's father, retained him; and he abode with him three days: so they did eat and drink, and lodged there.(KJV) Judges 19:4 And his father in lawe, the yong womans father reteined him: & he abode with him three dayes: so they did eate & drinke, & lodged there.(Geneva) Juges 19:4 Son beau-père, le père de la jeune femme, le retint trois jours chez lui. So they ate and drank and lodged there.(nasb) ======= Judges 19:5 ============ Jdg 19:5 And it came to pass on the fourth day, when they arose early in the morning, that he rose up to depart: and the damsel's father said unto his son in law, Comfort thine heart with a morsel of bread, and afterward go your way.(KJV) Judges 19:5 And when the fourth day came, they arose earely in the morning, and he prepared to depart: then the yong womans father said vnto his sonne in lawe, Comfort thine heart with a morsel of bread, and then go your way.(Geneva) Juges 19:5 Le quatrième jour, ils se levèrent de bon matin, et le Lévite se disposait à partir. Mais le père de la jeune femme dit à son gendre: Prends un morceau de pain pour fortifier ton coeur; vous partirez ensuite.(FR) 5 ׃19 וַֽיְהִי֙ בַּיּ֣וֹם הָרְבִיעִ֔י וַיַּשְׁכִּ֥ימוּ בַבֹּ֖קֶר וַיָּ֣קָם לָלֶ֑כֶת וַיֹּאמֶר֩ אֲבִ֨י הַֽנַּעֲרָ֜ה אֶל־חֲתָנ֗וֹ סְעָ֧ד לִבְּךָ֛ פַּת־לֶ֖חֶם וְאַחַ֥ר תֵּלֵֽכוּ׃ Judges Jdg 19:5 Now on the fourth day they got up early in the morning, and he prepared to go; and the girl's father said to his son-in-law, "Sustain yourself with a piece of bread, and afterward you may go."(nasb) ======= Judges 19:6 ============ Jdg 19:6 And they sat down, and did eat and drink both of them together: for the damsel's father had said unto the man, Be content, I pray thee, and tarry all night, and let thine heart be merry.(KJV) Judges 19:6 So they sate downe, and did eate & drinke both of them together; the yong womans father said vnto the man, Be content, I pray thee, and tary all night, and let thine heart be mery.(Geneva) Juges 19:6 Et ils s'assirent, et ils mangèrent et burent eux deux ensemble. Puis le père de la jeune femme dit au mari: Décide-toi donc à passer la nuit, et que ton coeur se réjouisse.(FR) 6 ׃19 וַיֵּשְׁב֗וּ וַיֹּאכְל֧וּ שְׁנֵיהֶ֛ם יַחְדָּ֖ו וַיִּשְׁתּ֑וּ וַיֹּ֜אמֶר אֲבִ֤י הַֽנַּעֲרָה֙ אֶל־הָאִ֔ישׁ הֽוֹאֶל־נָ֥א וְלִ֖ין וְיִטַ֥ב לִבֶּֽךָ׃ Judges Jdg 19:6 So both of them sat down and ate and drank together; and the girl's father said to the man, "Please be willing to spend the night, and let your heart be merry."(nasb) ======= Judges 19:7 ============ Jdg 19:7 And when the man rose up to depart, his father in law urged him: therefore he lodged there again.(KJV) Judges 19:7 And when the man rose vp to depart, his father in lawe was earnest: therefore he returned, and lodged there.(Geneva) Juges 19:7 Le mari se levait pour s'en aller; mais, sur les instances de son beau-père, il passa encore la nuit.(FR) 7 ׃19 וַיָּ֥קָם הָאִ֖ישׁ לָלֶ֑כֶת וַיִּפְצַר־בּוֹ֙ חֹתְנ֔וֹ וַיָּ֖שָׁב וַיָּ֥לֶן שָֽׁם׃ Judges Jdg 19:7 Then the man arose to go, but his father-in-law urged him so that he spent the night there again.(nasb) ======= Judges 19:8 ============ Jdg 19:8 And he arose early in the morning on the fifth day to depart; and the damsel's father said, Comfort thine heart, I pray thee. And they tarried until afternoon, and they did eat both of them.(KJV) Judges 19:8 And he arose vp earely the fifth day to depart, and the yong womans father saide, Comfort thine heart, I pray thee: and they taryed vntill after midday, and they both did eate.(Geneva) Juges 19:8 Le cinquième jour, il se leva de bon matin pour partir. Alors le père de la jeune femme dit: Fortifie ton coeur, je te prie; et restez jusqu'au déclin du jour. Et ils mangèrent eux deux.(FR) 8 ׃19 וַיַּשְׁכֵּ֨ם בַּבֹּ֜קֶר בַּיּ֣וֹם הַחֲמִישִׁי֮ לָלֶכֶת֒ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר ׀ אֲבִ֣י הַֽנַּעֲרָ֗ה סְעָד־נָא֙ לְבָ֣בְךָ֔ וְהִֽתְמַהְמְה֖וּ עַד־נְט֣וֹת הַיּ֑וֹם וַיֹּאכְל֖וּ שְׁנֵיהֶֽם׃ Judges Jdg 19:8 On the fifth day he arose to go early in the morning, and the girl's father said, "Please sustain yourself, and wait until afternoon"; so both of them ate.(nasb) ======= Judges 19:9 ============ Jdg 19:9 And when the man rose up to depart, he, and his concubine, and his servant, his father in law, the damsel's father, said unto him, Behold, now the day draweth toward evening, I pray you tarry all night: behold, the day groweth to an end, lodge here, that thine heart may be merry; and to morrow get you early on your way, that thou mayest go home.(KJV) Judges 19:9 Afterwarde when the man arose to depart with his concubine and his seruant, his father in lawe, the yong womans father said vnto him, Beholde nowe, the day draweth towarde euen: I pray you, tary all night: beholde, the sunne goeth to rest: lodge here, that thine heart may be merie, and to morowe get you earely vpon your way, and goe to thy tent.(Geneva) Juges 19:9 Le mari se levait pour s'en aller, avec sa concubine et son serviteur; mais son beau-père, le père de la jeune femme, lui dit: Voici, le jour baisse, il se fait tard, passez donc la nuit; voici, le jour est sur son déclin, passe ici la nuit, et que ton coeur se réjouisse; demain vous vous lèverez de bon matin pour vous mettre en route, et tu t'en iras à ta tente.(FR) 9 ׃19 וַיָּ֤קָם הָאִישׁ֙ לָלֶ֔כֶת ה֥וּא וּפִילַגְשׁ֖וֹ וְנַעֲר֑וֹ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר ל֣וֹ חֹתְנ֣וֹ אֲבִ֣י הַֽנַּעֲרָ֡ה הִנֵּ֣ה נָא֩ רָפָ֨ה הַיּ֜וֹם לַעֲרֹ֗ב לִֽינוּ־נָ֞א הִנֵּ֨ה חֲנ֤וֹת הַיּוֹם֙ לִ֥ין פֹּה֙ וְיִיטַ֣ב לְבָבֶ֔ךָ וְהִשְׁכַּמְתֶּ֤ם מָחָר֙ לְדַרְכְּכֶ֔ם וְהָלַכְתָּ֖ לְאֹהָלֶֽךָ׃ Judges Jdg 19:9 When the man arose to go along with his concubine and servant, his father-in-law, the girl's father, said to him, "Behold now, the day has drawn to a close; please spend the night. Lo, the day is coming to an end; spend the night here that your heart may be merry. Then tomorrow you may arise early for your journey so that you may go home."(nasb) ======= Judges 19:10 ============ Jdg 19:10 But the man would not tarry that night, but he rose up and departed, and came over against Jebus, which is Jerusalem; and there were with him two asses saddled, his concubine also was with him.(KJV) Judges 19:10 But the man would not tarry, but arose & departed, and came ouer against Iebus, (which is Ierusalem) and his two asses laden, and his concubine were with him.(Geneva) Juges 19:10 Le mari ne voulut point passer la nuit, il se leva et partit. Il arriva jusque devant Jebus, qui est Jérusalem, avec les deux ânes bâtés et avec sa concubine.(FR) 10 ׃19 וְלֹֽא־אָבָ֤ה הָאִישׁ֙ לָל֔וּן וַיָּ֣קָם וַיֵּ֗לֶךְ וַיָּבֹא֙ עַד־נֹ֣כַח יְב֔וּס הִ֖יא יְרוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם וְעִמּ֗וֹ צֶ֤מֶד חֲמוֹרִים֙ חֲבוּשִׁ֔ים וּפִילַגְשׁ֖וֹ עִמּֽוֹ׃ Judges Jdg 19:10 But the man was not willing to spend the night, so he arose and departed and came to a place opposite Jebus (that is, Jerusalem). And there were with him a pair of saddled donkeys; his concubine also was with him.(nasb) ======= Judges 19:11 ============ Jdg 19:11 And when they were by Jebus, the day was far spent; and the servant said unto his master, Come, I pray thee, and let us turn in into this city of the Jebusites, and lodge in it.(KJV) Judges 19:11 When they were neere to Iebus, the day was sore spent, and the seruant said vnto his master, Come, I pray thee, and let vs turne into this citie of the Iebusites, and lodge all night there.(Geneva) Juges 19:11 Lorsqu'ils furent près de Jebus, le jour avait beaucoup baissé. Le serviteur dit alors à son maître: Allons, dirigeons-nous vers cette ville des Jébusiens, et nous y passerons la nuit.(FR) 11 ׃19 הֵ֣ם עִם־יְב֔וּס וְהַיּ֖וֹם רַ֣ד מְאֹ֑ד וַיֹּ֨אמֶר הַנַּ֜עַר אֶל־אֲדֹנָ֗יו לְכָה־נָּ֛א וְנָס֛וּרָה אֶל־עִֽיר־הַיְבוּסִ֥י הַזֹּ֖את וְנָלִ֥ין בָּֽהּ׃ Judges Jdg 19:11 When they were near Jebus, the day was almost gone; and the servant said to his master, "Please come, and let us turn aside into this city of the Jebusites and spend the night in it."(nasb) ======= Judges 19:12 ============ Jdg 19:12 And his master said unto him, We will not turn aside hither into the city of a stranger, that is not of the children of Israel; we will pass over to Gibeah.(KJV) Judges 19:12 And his master answered him, We will not turne into the citie of strangers that are not of the children of Israel, but we will goe forth to Gibeah.(Geneva) Juges 19:12 Son maître lui répondit: Nous n'entrerons pas dans une ville d'étrangers, où il n'y a point d'enfants d'Israël, nous irons jusqu'à Guibea.(FR) 12 ׃19 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֵלָיו֙ אֲדֹנָ֔יו לֹ֤א נָסוּר֙ אֶל־עִ֣יר נָכְרִ֔י אֲשֶׁ֛ר לֹֽא־מִבְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל הֵ֑נָּה וְעָבַ֖רְנוּ עַד־גִּבְעָֽה׃ Judges Jdg 19:12 However, his master said to him, "We will not turn aside into the city of foreigners who are not of the sons of Israel; but we will go on as far as Gibeah."(nasb) ======= Judges 19:13 ============ Jdg 19:13 And he said unto his servant, Come, and let us draw near to one of these places to lodge all night, in Gibeah, or in Ramah.(KJV) Judges 19:13 And he said vnto his seruant, Come, and let vs drawe neere to one of these places, that wee may lodge in Gibeah or in Ramah.(Geneva) Juges 19:13 Il dit encore à son serviteur: Allons, approchons-nous de l'un de ces lieux, Guibea ou Rama, et nous y passerons la nuit.(FR) 13 ׃19 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר לְנַעֲר֔וֹ לְךָ֥ וְנִקְרְבָ֖ה בְּאַחַ֣ד הַמְּקֹמ֑וֹת וְלַ֥נּוּ בַגִּבְעָ֖ה א֥וֹ בָרָמָֽה׃ Judges Jdg 19:13 He said to his servant, "Come and let us approach one of these places; and we will spend the night in Gibeah or Ramah."(nasb) ======= Judges 19:14 ============ Jdg 19:14 And they passed on and went their way; and the sun went down upon them when they were by Gibeah, which belongeth to Benjamin.(KJV) Judges 19:14 So they went forward vpon their way, and the sunne went downe vpon them neere to Gibeah, which is in Beniamin.(Geneva) Juges 19:14 Ils continuèrent à marcher, et le soleil se coucha quand ils furent près de Guibea, qui appartient à Benjamin.(FR) 14 ׃19 וַיַּעַבְר֖וּ וַיֵּלֵ֑כוּ וַתָּבֹ֤א לָהֶם֙ הַשֶּׁ֔מֶשׁ אֵ֥צֶל הַגִּבְעָ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר לְבִנְיָמִֽן׃ Judges Jdg 19:14 So they passed along and went their way, and the sun set on them near Gibeah which belongs to Benjamin.(nasb) ======= Judges 19:15 ============ Jdg 19:15 And they turned aside thither, to go in and to lodge in Gibeah: and when he went in, he sat him down in a street of the city: for there was no man that took them into his house to lodging.(KJV) Judges 19:15 Then they turned thither to goe in and lodge in Gibeah: and when he came, he sate him downe in a streete of the citie: for there was no man that tooke them into his house to lodging.(Geneva) Juges 19:15 Ils se dirigèrent de ce côté pour aller passer la nuit à Guibea. Le Lévite entra, et il s'arrêta sur la place de la ville. Il n'y eut personne qui les reçût dans sa maison pour qu'ils y passassent la nuit.(FR) 15 ׃19 וַיָּסֻ֣רוּ שָׁ֔ם לָב֖וֹא לָל֣וּן בַּגִּבְעָ֑ה וַיָּבֹ֗א וַיֵּ֙שֶׁב֙ בִּרְח֣וֹב הָעִ֔יר וְאֵ֥ין אִ֛ישׁ מְאַסֵּֽף־אוֹתָ֥ם הַבַּ֖יְתָה לָלֽוּן׃ Judges Jdg 19:15 They turned aside there in order to enter and lodge in Gibeah. When they entered, they sat down in the open square of the city, for no one took them into his house to spend the night.(nasb) ======= Judges 19:16 ============ Jdg 19:16 And, behold, there came an old man from his work out of the field at even, which was also of mount Ephraim; and he sojourned in Gibeah: but the men of the place were Benjamites.(KJV) Judges 19:16 And beholde, there came an old man from his work out of the field at euen, & the man was of mount Ephraim, but dwelt in Gibeah: and the men of the place were the children of Iemini.(Geneva) Juges 19:16 Et voici, un vieillard revenait le soir de travailler aux champs; cet homme était de la montagne d'Ephraïm, il séjournait à Guibea, et les gens du lieu étaient Benjamites.(FR) 16 ׃19 וְהִנֵּ֣ה ׀ אִ֣ישׁ זָקֵ֗ן בָּ֣א מִֽן־מַעֲשֵׂ֤הוּ מִן־הַשָּׂדֶה֙ בָּעֶ֔רֶב וְהָאִישׁ֙ מֵהַ֣ר אֶפְרַ֔יִם וְהוּא־גָ֖ר בַּגִּבְעָ֑ה וְאַנְשֵׁ֥י הַמָּק֖וֹם בְּנֵ֥י יְמִינִֽי׃ Judges Jdg 19:16 Then behold, an old man was coming out of the field from his work at evening. Now the man was from the hill country of Ephraim, and he was staying in Gibeah, but the men of the place were Benjamites.(nasb) ======= Judges 19:17 ============ Jdg 19:17 And when he had lifted up his eyes, he saw a wayfaring man in the street of the city: and the old man said, Whither goest thou? and whence comest thou?(KJV) Judges 19:17 And when he had lift vp his eyes, he sawe a wayfairing man in the streetes of the citie: then this olde man sayde, Whither goest thou, and whence camest thou?(Geneva) Juges 19:17 Il leva les yeux, et vit le voyageur sur la place de la ville. Et le vieillard lui dit: Où vas-tu, et d'où viens-tu?(FR) 17 ׃19 וַיִּשָּׂ֣א עֵינָ֗יו וַיַּ֛רְא אֶת־הָאִ֥ישׁ הָאֹרֵ֖חַ בִּרְחֹ֣ב הָעִ֑יר וַיֹּ֨אמֶר הָאִ֧ישׁ הַזָּקֵ֛ן אָ֥נָה תֵלֵ֖ךְ וּמֵאַ֥יִן תָּבֽוֹא׃ Judges Jdg 19:17 And he lifted up his eyes and saw the traveler in the open square of the city; and the old man said, "Where are you going, and where do you come from?"(nasb) ======= Judges 19:18 ============ Jdg 19:18 And he said unto him, We are passing from Bethlehemjudah toward the side of mount Ephraim; from thence am I: and I went to Bethlehemjudah, but I am now going to the house of the LORD; and there is no man that receiveth me to house.(KJV) Judges 19:18 And hee answered him, Wee came from Beth-lehem Iudah, vnto the side of Mout Ephraim: from thence am I: and I went to Beth-lehem Iudah, and go now to the house of the Lord: and no man receiueth mee to house,(Geneva) Juges 19:18 Il lui répondit: Nous allons de Bethléhem de Juda jusqu'à l'extrémité de la montagne d'Ephraïm, d'où je suis. J'étais allé à Bethléhem de Juda, et je me rends à la maison de l'Eternel. Mais il n'y a personne qui me reçoive dans sa demeure.(FR) 18 ׃19 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלָ֗יו עֹבְרִ֨ים אֲנַ֜חְנוּ מִבֵּֽית־לֶ֣חֶם יְהוּדָה֮ עַד־יַרְכְּתֵ֣י הַר־אֶפְרַיִם֒ מִשָּׁ֣ם אָנֹ֔כִי וָאֵלֵ֕ךְ עַד־בֵּ֥ית לֶ֖חֶם יְהוּדָ֑ה וְאֶת־בֵּ֤ית יְהוָה֙ אֲנִ֣י הֹלֵ֔ךְ וְאֵ֣ין אִ֔ישׁ מְאַסֵּ֥ף אוֹתִ֖י הַבָּֽיְתָה׃ Judges Jdg 19:18 He said to him, "We are passing from Bethlehem in Judah to the remote part of the hill country of Ephraim, for I am from there, and I went to Bethlehem in Judah. But I am now going to my house, and no man will take me into his house.(nasb) ======= Judges 19:19 ============ Jdg 19:19 Yet there is both straw and provender for our asses; and there is bread and wine also for me, and for thy handmaid, and for the young man which is with thy servants: there is no want of any thing.(KJV) Judges 19:19 Although we haue straw and prouader for our asses, and also bread and wine for me & thine handmayde, and for the boy that is with thy seruant: we lacke nothing.(Geneva) Juges 19:19 Nous avons cependant de la paille et du fourrage pour nos ânes; nous avons aussi du pain et du vin pour moi, pour ta servante, et pour le garçon qui est avec tes serviteurs. Please let me bring them out that you may ravish them and do to them whatever you wish.
