Elle lui répondit: Va, ma fille.(FR) 2 ׃2 וַתֹּאמֶר֩ ר֨וּת הַמּוֹאֲבִיָּ֜ה אֶֽל־נָעֳמִ֗י אֵֽלְכָה־נָּ֤א הַשָּׂדֶה֙ וַאֲלַקֳטָּ֣ה בַשִׁבֳּלִ֔ים אַחַ֕ר אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֶמְצָא־חֵ֖ן בְּעֵינָ֑יו וַתֹּ֥אמֶר לָ֖הּ לְכִ֥י בִתִּֽי׃ Ruth Rut 2:2 And Ruth the Moabitess said to Naomi, "Please let me go to the field and glean among the ears of grain after one in whose sight I may find favor." And she said to her, "Go, my daughter."(nasb) ======= Ruth 2:3 ============ Rut 2:3 And she went, and came, and gleaned in the field after the reapers: and her hap was to light on a part of the field belonging unto Boaz, who was of the kindred of Elimelech.(KJV) Ruth 2:3 And she went, and came and gleaned in the fielde after the reapers, and it came to passe, that she met with the portion of the fielde of Boaz, who was of the familie of Elimelech.(Geneva) Ruth 2:3 Elle alla glaner dans un champ, derrière les moissonneurs. Et il se trouva par hasard que la pièce de terre appartenait à Boaz, qui était de la famille d'Elimélec.(FR) 3 ׃2 וַתֵּ֤לֶךְ וַתָּבוֹא֙ וַתְּלַקֵּ֣ט בַּשָּׂדֶ֔ה אַחֲרֵ֖י הַקֹּצְרִ֑ים וַיִּ֣קֶר מִקְרֶ֔הָ חֶלְקַ֤ת הַשָּׂדֶה֙ לְבֹ֔עַז אֲשֶׁ֖ר מִמִּשְׁפַּ֥חַת אֱלִימֶֽלֶךְ׃ Ruth Rut 2:3 So she departed and went and gleaned in the field after the reapers; and she happened to come to the portion of the field belonging to Boaz, who was of the family of Elimelech.(nasb) ======= Ruth 2:4 ============ Rut 2:4 And, behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and said unto the reapers, The LORD be with you. And they said to him, "May the Lord bless you."(nasb) ======= Ruth 2:5 ============ Rut 2:5 Then said Boaz unto his servant that was set over the reapers, Whose damsel is this?(KJV) Ruth 2:5 Then saide Boaz vnto his seruant that was appointed ouer the reapers, Whose maide is this?(Geneva) Ruth 2:5 Et Boaz dit à son serviteur chargé de surveiller les moissonneurs: A qui est cette jeune femme?(FR) 5 ׃2 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר בֹּ֙עַז֙ לְנַעֲר֔וֹ הַנִּצָּ֖ב עַל־הַקּֽוֹצְרִ֑ים לְמִ֖י הַנַּעֲרָ֥ה הַזֹּֽאת׃ Ruth Rut 2:5 Then Boaz said to his servant who was in charge of the reapers, "Whose young woman is this?"(nasb) ======= Ruth 2:6 ============ Rut 2:6 And the servant that was set over the reapers answered and said, It is the Moabitish damsel that came back with Naomi out of the country of Moab:(KJV) Ruth 2:6 And the seruant that was appointed ouer the reapers, answered, and said, It is the Moabitish maide, that came with Naomi out of the countrey of Moab:(Geneva) Ruth 2:6 Le serviteur chargé de surveiller les moissonneurs répondit: C'est une jeune femme Moabite, qui est revenue avec Naomi du pays de Moab.(FR) 6 ׃2 וַיַּ֗עַן הַנַּ֛עַר הַנִּצָּ֥ב עַל־הַקּוֹצְרִ֖ים וַיֹּאמַ֑ר נַעֲרָ֤ה מֽוֹאֲבִיָּה֙ הִ֔יא הַשָּׁ֥בָה עִֽם־נָעֳמִ֖י מִשְּׂדֵ֥ה מוֹאָֽב׃ Ruth Rut 2:6 The servant in charge of the reapers replied, "She is the young Moabite woman who returned with Naomi from the land of Moab.(nasb) ======= Ruth 2:7 ============ Rut 2:7 And she said, I pray you, let me glean and gather after the reapers among the sheaves: so she came, and hath continued even from the morning until now, that she tarried a little in the house.(KJV) Ruth 2:7 And shee saide vnto vs, I pray you, let mee gleane and gather after the reapers among the sheaues: so shee came, and hath continued from that time in the morning vnto now, saue that she taried a litle in the house.(Geneva) Ruth 2:7 Elle a dit: Permettez-moi de glaner et de ramasser des épis entre les gerbes, derrière les moissonneurs. Thus she came and has remained from the morning until now; she has been sitting in the house for a little while."(nasb) ======= Ruth 2:8 ============ Rut 2:8 Then said Boaz unto Ruth, Hearest thou not, my daughter? Go not to glean in another field, neither go from hence, but abide here fast by my maidens:(KJV) Ruth 2:8 Then said Boaz vnto Ruth, Hearest thou, my daughter? goe to none other fielde to gather, neither goe from hence: but abide here by my maydens.(Geneva) Ruth 2:8 Boaz dit à Ruth: Ecoute, ma fille, ne va pas glaner dans un autre champ; ne t'éloigne pas d'ici, et reste avec mes servantes.(FR) 8 ׃2 וַיֹּאמֶר֩ בֹּ֨עַז אֶל־ר֜וּת הֲל֧וֹא שָׁמַ֣עַתְּ בִּתִּ֗י אַל־תֵּלְכִי֙ לִלְקֹט֙ בְּשָׂדֶ֣ה אַחֵ֔ר וְגַ֛ם לֹ֥א תַעֲבוּרִ֖י מִזֶּ֑ה וְכֹ֥ה תִדְבָּקִ֖ין עִם־נַעֲרֹתָֽי׃ Ruth Rut 2:8 Then Boaz said to Ruth, "Listen carefully, my daughter. Do not go to glean in another field; furthermore, do not go on from this one, but stay here with my maids.(nasb) ======= Ruth 2:9 ============ Rut 2:9 Let thine eyes be on the field that they do reap, and go thou after them: have I not charged the young men that they shall not touch thee? and when thou art athirst, go unto the vessels, and drink of that which the young men have drawn.(KJV) Ruth 2:9 Let thine eyes be on the field that they do reape, and goe thou after the maidens. Haue I not charged the seruants, that they touche thee not? Moreouer whe thou art a thirst, go vnto ye vessels, and drinke of that which ye seruants haue drawen.(Geneva) Ruth 2:9 Regarde où l'on moissonne dans le champ, et va après elles. J'ai défendu à mes serviteurs de te toucher. Et quand tu auras soif, tu iras aux vases, et tu boiras de ce que les serviteurs auront puisé.(FR) 9 ׃2 עֵינַ֜יִךְ בַּשָּׂדֶ֤ה אֲשֶׁר־יִקְצֹרוּן֙ וְהָלַ֣כְתִּ אַחֲרֵיהֶ֔ן הֲל֥וֹא צִוִּ֛יתִי אֶת־הַנְּעָרִ֖ים לְבִלְתִּ֣י נָגְעֵ֑ךְ וְצָמִ֗ת וְהָלַכְתְּ֙ אֶל־הַכֵּלִ֔ים וְשָׁתִ֕ית מֵאֲשֶׁ֥ר יִשְׁאֲב֖וּן הַנְּעָרִֽים׃ Ruth Rut 2:9 Let your eyes be on the field which they reap, and go after them. Indeed, I have commanded the servants not to touch you. When you are thirsty, go to the water jars and drink from what the servants draw."(nasb) ======= Ruth 2:10 ============ Rut 2:10 Then she fell on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said unto him, Why have I found grace in thine eyes, that thou shouldest take knowledge of me, seeing I am a stranger?(KJV) Ruth 2:10 Then shee fell on her face, and bowed her selfe to the ground, and said vnto him, How haue I found fauour in thine eyes, that thou shouldest know me, seeing I am a stranger?(Geneva) Ruth 2:10 Alors elle tomba sur sa face et se prosterna contre terre, et elle lui dit: Comment ai-je trouvé grâce à tes yeux, pour que tu t'intéresses à moi, à moi qui suis une étrangère?(FR) 10 ׃2 וַתִּפֹּל֙ עַל־פָּנֶ֔יהָ וַתִּשְׁתַּ֖חוּ אָ֑רְצָה וַתֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלָ֗יו מַדּוּעַ֩ מָצָ֨אתִי חֵ֤ן בְּעֵינֶ֙יךָ֙ לְהַכִּירֵ֔נִי וְאָּנֹכִ֖י נָכְרִיָּֽה׃ Ruth Rut 2:10 Then she fell on her face, bowing to the ground and said to him, "Why have I found favor in your sight that you should take notice of me, since I am a foreigner?"(nasb) ======= Ruth 2:11 ============ Rut 2:11 And Boaz answered and said unto her, It hath fully been shewed me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother in law since the death of thine husband: and how thou hast left thy father and thy mother, and the land of thy nativity, and art come unto a people which thou knewest not heretofore.(KJV) Ruth 2:11 And Boaz answered, & said vnto her, All is told and shewed me that thou hast done vnto thy mother in lawe, since the death of thine husband, and how thou hast left thy father & thy mother, and ye land where thou wast borne, & art come vnto a people which thou knewest not in time past.(Geneva) Ruth 2:11 Boaz lui répondit: On m'a rapporté tout ce que tu as fait pour ta belle-mère depuis la mort de ton mari, et comment tu as quitté ton père et ta mère et le pays de ta naissance, pour aller vers un peuple que tu ne connaissais point auparavant.(FR) 11 ׃2 וַיַּ֤עַן בֹּ֙עַז֙ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר לָ֔הּ הֻגֵּ֨ד הֻגַּ֜ד לִ֗י כֹּ֤ל אֲשֶׁר־עָשִׂית֙ אֶת־חֲמוֹתֵ֔ךְ אַחֲרֵ֖י מ֣וֹת אִישֵׁ֑ךְ וַתַּֽעַזְבִ֞י אָּבִ֣יךְ וְאִמֵּ֗ךְ וְאֶ֙רֶץ֙ מֽוֹלַדְתֵּ֔ךְ וַתֵּ֣לְכִ֔י אֶל־עַ֕ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹא־יָדַ֖עַתְּ תְּמ֥וֹל שִׁלְשֽׁוֹם׃ Ruth Rut 2:11 Boaz replied to her, "All that you have done for your mother-in-law after the death of your husband has been fully reported to me, and how you left your father and your mother and the land of your birth, and came to a people that you did not previously know.(nasb) ======= Ruth 2:12 ============ Rut 2:12 The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.(KJV) Ruth 2:12 The Lord recompense thy worke, and a ful reward be giuen thee of the Lord God of Israel, vnder whose wings thou art come to trust.(Geneva) Ruth 2:12 Que l'Eternel te rende ce que tu as fait, et que ta récompense soit entière de la part de l'Eternel, le Dieu d'Israël, sous les ailes duquel tu es venue te réfugier!(FR) 12 ׃2 יְשַׁלֵּ֥ם יְהוָ֖ה פָּעֳלֵ֑ךְ וּתְהִ֨י מַשְׂכֻּרְתֵּ֜ךְ שְׁלֵמָ֗ה מֵעִ֤ם יְהוָה֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֲשֶׁר־בָּ֖את לַחֲס֥וֹת תַּֽחַת־כְּנָפָֽיו׃ Ruth Rut 2:12 May the Lord reward your work, and your wages be full from the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to seek refuge."(nasb) ======= Ruth 2:13 ============ Rut 2:13 Then she said, Let me find favour in thy sight, my lord; for that thou hast comforted me, and for that thou hast spoken friendly unto thine handmaid, though I be not like unto one of thine handmaidens.(KJV) Ruth 2:13 Then she saide, Let me finde fauour in thy sight, my lord: for thou hast comforted mee, and spoken comfortably vnto thy mayde, though I be not like to one of thy maydes.(Geneva) Ruth 2:13 Et elle dit: Oh! que je trouve grâce à tes yeux, mon seigneur! Car tu m'as consolée, et tu as parlé au coeur de ta servante. Et pourtant je ne suis pas, moi, comme l'une de tes servantes.(FR) 13 ׃2 וַ֠תֹּאמֶר אֶמְצָא־חֵ֨ן בְּעֵינֶ֤יךָ אֲדֹנִי֙ כִּ֣י נִֽחַמְתָּ֔נִי וְכִ֥י דִבַּ֖רְתָּ עַל־לֵ֣ב שִׁפְחָתֶ֑ךָ וְאָנֹכִי֙ לֹ֣א אֶֽהְיֶ֔ה כְּאַחַ֖ת שִׁפְחֹתֶֽיךָ׃ Ruth Rut 2:13 Then she said, "I have found favor in your sight, my lord, for you have comforted me and indeed have spoken kindly to your maidservant, though I am not like one of your maidservants."(nasb) ======= Ruth 2:14 ============ Rut 2:14 And Boaz said unto her, At mealtime come thou hither, and eat of the bread, and dip thy morsel in the vinegar. And she sat beside the reapers: and he reached her parched corn, and she did eat, and was sufficed, and left.(KJV) Ruth 2:14 And Boaz said vnto her, At the meale time come thou hither, and eat of the bread, and dippe thy morsell in the vineger; she sate beside the reapers, and hee reached her parched corne: and shee did eate, and was sufficed, and left thereof.(Geneva) Ruth 2:14 Au moment du repas, Boaz dit à Ruth: Approche, mange du pain, et trempe ton morceau dans le vinaigre. Elle s'assit à côté des moissonneurs. On lui donna du grain rôti; elle mangea et se rassasia, et elle garda le reste.(FR) 14 ׃2 וַיֹּאמֶר֩ לָ֨ה בֹ֜עַז לְעֵ֣ת הָאֹ֗כֶל גֹּ֤שִֽׁי הֲלֹם֙ וְאָכַ֣לְתְּ מִן־הַלֶּ֔חֶם וְטָבַ֥לְתְּ פִּתֵּ֖ךְ בַּחֹ֑מֶץ וַתֵּ֙שֶׁב֙ מִצַּ֣ד הַקּֽוֹצְרִ֔ים וַיִּצְבָּט־לָ֣הּ קָלִ֔י וַתֹּ֥אכַל וַתִּשְׂבַּ֖ע וַתֹּתַֽר׃ Ruth Rut 2:14 At mealtime Boaz said to her, "Come here, that you may eat of the bread and dip your piece of bread in the vinegar." So she sat beside the reapers; and he served her roasted grain, and she ate and was satisfied and had some left.(nasb) ======= Ruth 2:15 ============ Rut 2:15 And when she was risen up to glean, Boaz commanded his young men, saying, Let her glean even among the sheaves, and reproach her not:(KJV) Ruth 2:15 And when she arose to gleane, Boaz commanded his seruants, saying, Let her gather among the sheaues, and doe not rebuke her.(Geneva) Ruth 2:15 Puis elle se leva pour glaner. Boaz donna cet ordre à ses serviteurs: Qu'elle glane aussi entre les gerbes, et ne l'inquiétez pas,(FR) 15 ׃2 וַתָּ֖קָם לְלַקֵּ֑ט וַיְצַו֩ בֹּ֨עַז אֶת־נְעָרָ֜יו לֵאמֹ֗ר גַּ֣ם בֵּ֧ין הָֽעֳמָרִ֛ים תְּלַקֵּ֖ט וְלֹ֥א תַכְלִימֽוּהָ׃ Ruth Rut 2:15 When she rose to glean, Boaz commanded his servants, saying, "Let her glean even among the sheaves, and do not insult her.(nasb) ======= Ruth 2:16 ============ Rut 2:16 And let fall also some of the handfuls of purpose for her, and leave them, that she may glean them, and rebuke her not.(KJV) Ruth 2:16 Also let fall some of the sheaues for her, and let it lie, that she may gather it vp, & rebuke her not.(Geneva) Ruth 2:16 et même vous ôterez pour elle des gerbes quelques épis, que vous la laisserez glaner, sans lui faire de reproches.(FR) 16 ׃2 וְגַ֛ם שֹׁל־תָּשֹׁ֥לּוּ לָ֖הּ מִן־הַצְּבָתִ֑ים וַעֲזַבְתֶּ֥ם וְלִקְּטָ֖ה וְלֹ֥א תִגְעֲרוּ־בָֽהּ׃ Ruth Rut 2:16 Also you shall purposely pull out for her some grain from the bundles and leave it that she may glean, and do not rebuke her."(nasb) ======= Ruth 2:17 ============ Rut 2:17 So she gleaned in the field until even, and beat out that she had gleaned: and it was about an ephah of barley.(KJV) Ruth 2:17 So she gleaned in the fielde vntill euening, and she thresshed that shee had gathered, and it was about an Ephah of barly.(Geneva) Ruth 2:17 Elle glana dans le champ jusqu'au soir, et elle battit ce qu'elle avait glané. Il y eut environ un épha d'orge.(FR) 17 ׃2 וַתְּלַקֵּ֥ט בַּשָּׂדֶ֖ה עַד־הָעָ֑רֶב וַתַּחְבֹּט֙ אֵ֣ת אֲשֶׁר־לִקֵּ֔טָה וַיְהִ֖י כְּאֵיפָ֥ה שְׂעֹרִֽים׃ Ruth Rut 2:17 So she gleaned in the field until evening. Then she beat out what she had gleaned, and it was about an ephah of barley.(nasb) ======= Ruth 2:18 ============ Rut 2:18 And she took it up, and went into the city: and her mother in law saw what she had gleaned: and she brought forth, and gave to her that she had reserved after she was sufficed.(KJV) Ruth 2:18 And she tooke it vp, & went into the citie, & her mother in law saw what she had gathered: Also she tooke foorth, and gaue to her that which she had reserued, when she was sufficed.(Geneva) Ruth 2:18 Elle l'emporta et rentra dans la ville, et sa belle-mère vit ce qu'elle avait glané. Elle sortit aussi les restes de son repas, et les lui donna.(FR) 18 ׃2 וַתִּשָּׂא֙ וַתָּב֣וֹא הָעִ֔יר וַתֵּ֥רֶא חֲמוֹתָ֖הּ אֵ֣ת אֲשֶׁר־לִקֵּ֑טָה וַתּוֹצֵא֙ וַתִּתֶּן־לָ֔הּ אֵ֥ת אֲשֶׁר־הוֹתִ֖רָה מִשָּׂבְעָֽהּ׃ Ruth Rut 2:18 She took it up and went into the city, and her mother-in-law saw what she had gleaned. She also took it out and gave Naomi what she had left after she was satisfied.(nasb) ======= Ruth 2:19 ============ Rut 2:19 And her mother in law said unto her, Where hast thou gleaned to day? and where wroughtest thou? blessed be he that did take knowledge of thee. And she shewed her mother in law with whom she had wrought, and said, The man's name with whom I wrought to day is Boaz.(KJV) Ruth 2:19 Then her mother in lawe saide vnto her, Where hast thou gleaned to day? and where wroughtest thou? blessed be he, that knewe thee; she shewed her mother in lawe, with whome she had wrought, and saide, The mans name, with whom I wrought to day, is Boaz.(Geneva) Ruth 2:19 Sa belle-mère lui dit: Où as-tu glané aujourd'hui, et où as-tu travaillé? Béni soit celui qui s'est intéressé à toi! Et Ruth fit connaître à sa belle-mère chez qui elle avait travaillé: L'homme chez qui j'ai travaillé aujourd'hui, dit-elle, s'appelle Boaz.(FR) 19 ׃2 וַתֹּאמֶר֩ לָ֨הּ חֲמוֹתָ֜הּ אֵיפֹ֨ה לִקַּ֤טְתְּ הַיּוֹם֙ וְאָ֣נָה עָשִׂ֔ית יְהִ֥י מַכִּירֵ֖ךְ בָּר֑וּךְ וַתַּגֵּ֣ד לַחֲמוֹתָ֗הּ אֵ֤ת אֲשֶׁר־עָשְׂתָה֙ עִמּ֔וֹ וַתֹּ֗אמֶר שֵׁ֤ם הָאִישׁ֙ אֲשֶׁ֨ר עָשִׂ֧יתִי עִמּ֛וֹ הַיּ֖וֹם בֹּֽעַז׃ Ruth Rut 2:19 Her mother-in-law then said to her, "Where did you glean today and where did you work? May he who took notice of you be blessed." So she told her mother-in-law with whom she had worked and said, "The name of the man with whom I worked today is Boaz."(nasb) ======= Ruth 2:20 ============ Rut 2:20 And Naomi said unto her daughter in law, Blessed be he of the LORD, who hath not left off his kindness to the living and to the dead. And Naomi said unto her, The man is near of kin unto us, one of our next kinsmen.(KJV) Ruth 2:20 And Naomi said vnto her daughter in law, Blessed be he of the Lorde: for he ceaseth not to doe good to the liuing and to the dead. Et elle demeurait avec sa belle-mère.(FR) 23 ׃2 וַתִּדְבַּ֞ק בְּנַעֲר֥וֹת בֹּ֙עַז֙ לְלַקֵּ֔ט עַד־כְּל֥וֹת קְצִֽיר־הַשְּׂעֹרִ֖ים וּקְצִ֣יר הַֽחִטִּ֑ים וַתֵּ֖שֶׁב אֶת־חֲמוֹתָֽהּ׃ Ruth Rut 2:23 So she stayed close by the maids of Boaz in order to glean until the end of the barley harvest and the wheat harvest. And she lived with her mother-in-law.
