Et voici, la parole de l'Eternel lui fut adressée, en ces mots: Que fais-tu ici, Elie?(FR) 9 ׃19 וַיָּבֹא־שָׁ֥ם אֶל־הַמְּעָרָ֖ה וַיָּ֣לֶן שָׁ֑ם וְהִנֵּ֤ה דְבַר־יְהוָה֙ אֵלָ֔יו וַיֹּ֣אמֶר ל֔וֹ מַה־לְּךָ֥ פֹ֖ה אֵלִיָּֽהוּ׃ Kings1 1Ki 19:9 Then he came there to a cave and lodged there; and behold, the word of the Lord came to him, and He said to him, "What are you doing here, Elijah?"(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 19:10 ============ 1Ki 19:10 And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.(KJV) 1 Kings 19:10 And he answered, I haue bene very ielous for the Lord God of hostes: for the children of Israel haue forsaken thy couenant, broken downe thine altars, and slayne thy Prophets with the sword, and I onely am left, and they seeke my life to take it away.(Geneva) 1 Rois 19:10 Il répondit: J'ai déployé mon zèle pour l'Eternel, le Dieu des armées; car les enfants d'Israël ont abandonné ton alliance, ils ont renversé tes autels, et ils ont tué par l'épée tes prophètes; je suis resté, moi seul, et ils cherchent à m'ôter la vie.(FR) 10 ׃19 וַיֹּאמֶר֩ קַנֹּ֨א קִנֵּ֜אתִי לַיהוָ֣ה ׀ אֱלֹהֵ֣י צְבָא֗וֹת כִּֽי־עָזְב֤וּ בְרִֽיתְךָ֙ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֶת־מִזְבְּחֹתֶ֣יךָ הָרָ֔סוּ וְאֶת־נְבִיאֶ֖יךָ הָרְג֣וּ בֶחָ֑רֶב וֽ͏ָאִוָּתֵ֤ר אֲנִי֙ לְבַדִּ֔י וַיְבַקְשׁ֥וּ אֶת־נַפְשִׁ֖י לְקַחְתָּֽהּ׃ Kings1 1Ki 19:10 He said, "I have been very zealous for the Lord, the God of hosts; for the sons of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your altars and killed Your prophets with the sword. And I alone am left; and they seek my life, to take it away."(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 19:11 ============ 1Ki 19:11 And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:(KJV) 1 Kings 19:11 And he saide, Come out, and stand vpon the mount before the Lorde; beholde, the Lorde went by, and a mightie strong winde rent the mountaines, and brake the rockes before the Lord: but the Lord was not in the winde: and after the wind came an earthquake: but the Lord was not in the earthquake:(Geneva) 1 Rois 19:11 L'Eternel dit: Sors, et tiens-toi dans la montagne devant l'Eternel! Et voici, l'Eternel passa. Et devant l'Eternel, il y eut un vent fort et violent qui déchirait les montagnes et brisait les rochers: l'Eternel n'était pas dans le vent. Et après le vent, ce fut un tremblement de terre: l'Eternel n'était pas dans le tremblement de terre.(FR) 11 ׃19 וַיֹּ֗אמֶר צֵ֣א וְעָמַדְתָּ֣ בָהָר֮ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָה֒ וְהִנֵּ֧ה יְהוָ֣ה עֹבֵ֗ר וְר֣וּחַ גְּדוֹלָ֡ה וְחָזָ֞ק מְפָרֵק֩ הָרִ֨ים וּמְשַׁבֵּ֤ר סְלָעִים֙ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה לֹ֥א בָר֖וּחַ יְהוָ֑ה וְאַחַ֤ר הָר֨וּחַ רַ֔עַשׁ לֹ֥א בָרַ֖עַשׁ יְהוָֽה׃ Kings1 1Ki 19:11 So He said, "Go forth and stand on the mountain before the Lord." And behold, the Lord was passing by! And a great and strong wind was rending the mountains and breaking in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind. And after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake.(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 19:12 ============ 1Ki 19:12 And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.(KJV) 1 Kings 19:12 And after the earthquake came fire: but the Lorde was not in the fire: and after the fire came a still and soft voyce.(Geneva) 1 Rois 19:12 Et après le tremblement de terre, un feu: l'Eternel n'était pas dans le feu. Et après le feu, un murmure doux et léger.(FR) 12 ׃19 וְאַחַ֤ר הָרַ֙עַשׁ֙ אֵ֔שׁ לֹ֥א בָאֵ֖שׁ יְהוָ֑ה וְאַחַ֣ר הָאֵ֔שׁ ק֖וֹל דְּמָמָ֥ה דַקָּֽה׃ Kings1 1Ki 19:12 After the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a sound of a gentle blowing.(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 19:13 ============ 1Ki 19:13 And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?(KJV) 1 Kings 19:13 And when Eliiah heard it, he couered his face with his mantel, and went out, and stoode in the entring in of ye caue: and behold, there came a voyce vnto him, and sayd, What doest thou here, Eliiah?(Geneva) 1 Rois 19:13 Quand Elie l'entendit, il s'enveloppa le visage de son manteau, il sortit et se tint à l'entrée de la caverne. And I alone am left; and they seek my life, to take it away."(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 19:15 ============ 1Ki 19:15 And the LORD said unto him, Go, return on thy way to the wilderness of Damascus: and when thou comest, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria:(KJV) 1 Kings 19:15 And the Lord said vnto him, Goe, returne by the wildernes vnto Damascus, and when thou commest there, anoint Hazael King ouer Aram.(Geneva) 1 Rois 19:15 L'Eternel lui dit: Va, reprends ton chemin par le désert jusqu'à Damas; et quand tu seras arrivé, tu oindras Hazaël pour roi de Syrie.(FR) 15 ׃19 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֵלָ֔יו לֵ֛ךְ שׁ֥וּב לְדַרְכְּךָ֖ מִדְבַּ֣רָה דַמָּ֑שֶׂק וּבָ֗אתָ וּמָשַׁחְתָּ֧ אֶת־חֲזָאֵ֛ל לְמֶ֖לֶךְ עַל־אֲרָֽם׃ Kings1 1Ki 19:15 The Lord said to him, "Go, return on your way to the wilderness of Damascus, and when you have arrived, you shall anoint Hazael king over Aram;(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 19:16 ============ 1Ki 19:16 And Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint to be king over Israel: and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abelmeholah shalt thou anoint to be prophet in thy room.(KJV) 1 Kings 19:16 And Iehu the sonne of Nimshi shalt thou anoynt King ouer Israel: and Elisha the sonne of Shaphat of Abel Meholah shalt thou anoynt to be Prophet in thy roume.(Geneva) 1 Rois 19:16 Tu oindras aussi Jéhu, fils de Nimschi, pour roi d'Israël; et tu oindras Elisée, fils de Schaphath, d'Abel-Mehola, pour prophète à ta place.(FR) 16 ׃19 וְאֵת֙ יֵה֣וּא בֶן־נִמְשִׁ֔י תִּמְשַׁ֥ח לְמֶ֖לֶךְ עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְאֶת־אֱלִישָׁ֤ע בֶּן־שָׁפָט֙ מֵאָבֵ֣ל מְחוֹלָ֔ה תִּמְשַׁ֥ח לְנָבִ֖יא תַּחְתֶּֽיךָ׃ Kings1 1Ki 19:16 and Jehu the son of Nimshi you shall anoint king over Israel; and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abel-meholah you shall anoint as prophet in your place.(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 19:17 ============ 1Ki 19:17 And it shall come to pass, that him that escapeth the sword of Hazael shall Jehu slay: and him that escapeth from the sword of Jehu shall Elisha slay.(KJV) 1 Kings 19:17 And him that escapeth from the sworde of Hazael, shall Iehu slay: and him that escapeth from the sword of Iehu, shall Elisha slay.(Geneva) 1 Rois 19:17 Et il arrivera que celui qui échappera à l'épée de Hazaël, Jéhu le fera mourir; et celui qui échappera à l'épée de Jéhu, Elisée le fera mourir.(FR) 17 ׃19 וְהָיָ֗ה הַנִּמְלָ֛ט מֵחֶ֥רֶב חֲזָאֵ֖ל יָמִ֣ית יֵה֑וּא וְהַנִּמְלָ֛ט מֵחֶ֥רֶב יֵה֖וּא יָמִ֥ית אֱלִישָֽׁע׃ Kings1 1Ki 19:17 It shall come about, the one who escapes from the sword of Hazael, Jehu shall put to death, and the one who escapes from the sword of Jehu, Elisha shall put to death.(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 19:18 ============ 1Ki 19:18 Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.(KJV) 1 Kings 19:18 Yet wil I leaue seuen thousand in Israel, euen all the knees that haue not bowed vnto Baal, and euery mouth that hath not kissed him.(Geneva) 1 Rois 19:18 Mais je laisserai en Israël sept mille hommes, tous ceux qui n'ont point fléchi les genoux devant Baal, et dont la bouche ne l'a point baisé.(FR) 18 ׃19 וְהִשְׁאַרְתִּ֥י בְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל שִׁבְעַ֣ת אֲלָפִ֑ים כָּל־הַבִּרְכַּ֗יִם אֲשֶׁ֤ר לֹֽא־כָֽרְעוּ֙ לַבַּ֔עַל וְכָ֨ל־הַפֶּ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹֽא־נָשַׁ֖ק לֽוֹ׃ Kings1 1Ki 19:18 Yet I will leave 7,000 in Israel, all the knees that have not bowed to Baal and every mouth that has not kissed him."(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 19:19 ============ 1Ki 19:19 So he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him.(KJV) 1 Kings 19:19 So he departed thence, and found Elisha the sonne of Shaphat who was plowing with twelue yoke of oxen before him, and was with the twelft: & Eliiah went towards him, and cast his mantel vpon him.(Geneva) 1 Rois 19:19 Elie partit de là, et il trouva Elisée, fils de Schaphath, qui labourait. Elie s'approcha de lui, et il jeta sur lui son manteau.(FR) 19 ׃19 וַיֵּ֣לֶךְ מִ֠שָּׁם וַיִּמְצָ֞א אֶת־אֱלִישָׁ֤ע בֶּן־שָׁפָט֙ וְה֣וּא חֹרֵ֔שׁ שְׁנֵים־עָשָׂ֤ר צְמָדִים֙ לְפָנָ֔יו וְה֖וּא בִּשְׁנֵ֣ים הֶעָשָׂ֑ר וַיַּעֲבֹ֤ר אֵלִיָּ֙הוּ֙ אֵלָ֔יו וַיַּשְׁלֵ֥ךְ אַדַּרְתּ֖וֹ אֵלָֽיו׃ Kings1 1Ki 19:19 So he departed from there and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, while he was plowing with twelve pairs of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth. And he said to him, "Go back again, for what have I done to you?"(nasb) ======= 1 Kings 19:21 ============ 1Ki 19:21 And he returned back from him, and took a yoke of oxen, and slew them, and boiled their flesh with the instruments of the oxen, and gave unto the people, and they did eat. Then he arose, and went after Elijah, and ministered unto him.(kjv) 1 Kings 19:21 And whe he went backe againe from him, he tooke a couple of oxen, and slewe them, and sod their flesh with the instruments of the oxen, and gaue vnto the people, and they did eate: then he arose and went after Eliiah, and ministred vnto him.(Geneva) 1 Rois 19:21 Après s'être éloigné d'Elie, il revint prendre une paire de boeufs, qu'il offrit en sacrifice; avec l'attelage des boeufs, il fit cuire leur chair, et la donna à manger au peuple. Puis il se leva, suivit Elie, et fut à son service.(FR) 21 ׃19 וַיָּ֨שָׁב מֵאַחֲרָ֜יו וַיִּקַּ֣ח אֶת־צֶ֧מֶד הַבָּקָ֣ר וַיִּזְבָּחֵ֗הוּ וּבִכְלִ֤י הַבָּקָר֙ בִּשְּׁלָ֣ם הַבָּשָׂ֔ר וַיִּתֵּ֥ן לָעָ֖ם וַיֹּאכֵ֑לוּ וַיָּ֗קָם וַיֵּ֛לֶךְ אַחֲרֵ֥י אֵלִיָּ֖הוּ וַיְשָׁרְתֵֽהוּ׃ פ Kings1 1Ki 19:21 So he returned from following him, and took the pair of oxen and sacrificed them and boiled their flesh with the implements of the oxen, and gave it to the people and they ate. Then he arose and followed Elijah and ministered to him. (nasb) ======= 1 Kings 20:1 ============ 1Ki 20:1 And Benhadad the king of Syria gathered all his host together: and there were thirty and two kings with him, and horses, and chariots; and he went up and besieged Samaria, and warred against it.(KJV) 1 Kings 20:1 Then Ben-hadad the King of Aram assembled all his armie, and two & thirtie Kings with him, with horses, and charets, & went vp and besieged Samaria, and fought against it.(Geneva) 1 Rois 20:1 Ben-Hadad, roi de Syrie, rassembla toute son armée; il avait avec lui trente-deux rois, des chevaux et des chars.
