Today's Date: ======= Jeremiah 43:1 ============ Jer 43:1 And it came to pass, that when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking unto all the people all the words of the LORD their God, for which the LORD their God had sent him to them, even all these words,(KJV) Jeremiah 43:1 Nowe when Ieremiah had made an ende of speaking vnto ye whole people all the wordes of the Lorde their God, for the which the Lorde their God had sent him to them, euen all these wordes,(Geneva) Jérémie 43:1 Lorsque Jérémie eut achevé de dire à tout le peuple toutes les paroles de l'Eternel, leur Dieu, toutes ces paroles que l'Eternel, leur Dieu, l'avait chargé de leur dire,(FR) 1 ׃43 וַיְהִי֩ כְּכַלּ֨וֹת יִרְמְיָ֜הוּ לְדַבֵּ֣ר אֶל־כָּל־הָעָ֗ם אֶת־כָּל־דִּבְרֵי֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֧ר שְׁלָח֛וֹ יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֖ם אֲלֵיהֶ֑ם אֵ֥ת כָּל־הַדְּבָרִ֖ים הָאֵֽלֶּה׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 43:1 But as soon as Jeremiah, whom the Lord their God had sent, had finished telling all the people all the words of the Lord their God--that is, all these words--(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 43:2 ============ Jer 43:2 Then spake Azariah the son of Hoshaiah, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the proud men, saying unto Jeremiah, Thou speakest falsely: the LORD our God hath not sent thee to say, Go not into Egypt to sojourn there:(KJV) Jeremiah 43:2 Then spake Azariah the sonne of Hoshaiah, and Iohanan the sonne of Kareah, and all the proude men, saying vnto Ieremiah, Thou speakest falsely: the Lorde our God hath not sent thee to say, Goe not into Egypt to dwell there,(Geneva) Jérémie 43:2 Azaria, fils d'Hosée, Jochanan, fils de Karéach, et tous ces hommes orgueilleux, dirent à Jérémie: Tu dis un mensonge: l'Eternel, notre Dieu, ne t'a point chargé de nous dire: N'allez pas en Egypte pour y demeurer.(FR) 2 ׃43 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר עֲזַרְיָ֤ה בֶן־הוֹשַֽׁעְיָה֙ וְיוֹחָנָ֣ן בֶּן־קָרֵ֔חַ וְכָל־הָאֲנָשִׁ֖ים הַזֵּדִ֑ים אֹמְרִ֣ים אֶֽל־יִרְמְיָ֗הוּ שֶׁ֚קֶר אַתָּ֣ה מְדַבֵּ֔ר לֹ֣א שְׁלָחֲךָ֞ יְהוָ֤ה אֱלֹהֵ֙ינוּ֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר לֹֽא־תָבֹ֥אוּ מִצְרַ֖יִם לָג֥וּר שָֽׁם׃ Jeremiah Jer 43:2 Azariah the son of Hoshaiah, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the arrogant men said to Jeremiah, "You are telling a lie! The Lord our God has not sent you to say, 'You are not to enter Egypt to reside there'; (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 43:3 ============ Jer 43:3 But Baruch the son of Neriah setteth thee on against us, for to deliver us into the hand of the Chaldeans, that they might put us to death, and carry us away captives into Babylon.(KJV) Jeremiah 43:3 But Baruch ye sonne of Neriah prouoketh thee against vs, for to deliuer vs into the hand of the Caldeans, that they might slay vs, and cary vs away captiues into Babel.(Geneva) Jérémie 43:3 Mais c'est Baruc, fils de Nérija, qui t'excite contre nous, afin de nous livrer entre les mains des Chaldéens, pour qu'ils nous fassent mourir ou nous emmènent captifs à Babylone.(FR) 3 ׃43 כִּ֗י בָּרוּךְ֙ בֶּן־נֵ֣רִיָּ֔ה מַסִּ֥ית אֹתְךָ֖ בָּ֑נוּ לְמַעַן֩ תֵּ֨ת אֹתָ֤נוּ בְיַֽד־הַכַּשְׂדִּים֙ לְהָמִ֣ית אֹתָ֔נוּ וּלְהַגְל֥וֹת אֹתָ֖נוּ בָּבֶֽל׃ Jeremiah Jer 43:3 but Baruch the son of Neriah is inciting you against us to give us over into the hand of the Chaldeans, so they will put us to death or exile us to Babylon."(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 43:4 ============ Jer 43:4 So Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, and all the people, obeyed not the voice of the LORD, to dwell in the land of Judah.(KJV) Jeremiah 43:4 So Iohanan the sonne of Kareah, and all the captaines of the hoste, and all the people obeied not the voyce of the Lorde, to dwell in the lande of Iudah.(Geneva) Jérémie 43:4 Jochanan, fils de Karéach, tous les chefs des troupes, et tout le peuple, n'obéirent point à la voix de l'Eternel, qui leur ordonnait de rester dans le pays de Juda.(FR) 4 ׃43 וְלֹֽא־שָׁמַע֩ יוֹחָנָ֨ן בֶּן־קָרֵ֜חַ וְכָל־שָׂרֵ֧י הַחֲיָלִ֛ים וְכָל־הָעָ֖ם בְּק֣וֹל יְהוָ֑ה לָשֶׁ֖בֶת בְּאֶ֥רֶץ יְהוּדָֽה׃ Jeremiah Jer 43:4 So Johanan the son of Kareah and all the commanders of the forces, and all the people, did not obey the voice of the Lord to stay in the land of Judah. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 43:5 ============ Jer 43:5 But Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces, took all the remnant of Judah, that were returned from all nations, whither they had been driven, to dwell in the land of Judah;(KJV) Jeremiah 43:5 But Iohanan the sonne of Kareah, and all the captaines of the hoste tooke all the remnant of Iudah, that were returned fro al nations, whither they had bene driuen, to dwel in ye land of Iudah:(Geneva) Jérémie 43:5 Et Jochanan, fils de Karéach, et tous les chefs des troupes, prirent tous les restes de Juda, qui, après avoir été dispersés parmi toutes les nations, étaient revenus pour habiter le pays de Juda,(FR) 5 ׃43 וַיִּקַּ֞ח יוֹחָנָ֤ן בֶּן־קָרֵ֙חַ֙ וְכָל־שָׂרֵ֣י הַחֲיָלִ֔ים אֵ֖ת כָּל־שְׁאֵרִ֣ית יְהוּדָ֑ה אֲשֶׁר־שָׁ֗בוּ מִכָּל־הַגּוֹיִם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר נִדְּחוּ־שָׁ֔ם לָג֖וּר בְּאֶ֥רֶץ יְהוּדָֽה׃ Jeremiah Jer 43:5 But Johanan the son of Kareah and all the commanders of the forces took the entire remnant of Judah who had returned from all the nations to which they had been driven away, in order to reside in the land of Judah-- (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 43:6 ============ Jer 43:6 Even men, and women, and children, and the king's daughters, and every person that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had left with Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Jeremiah the prophet, and Baruch the son of Neriah.(KJV) Jeremiah 43:6 Euen men and women, and children, and the Kinges daughters, and euery person, that Nebuzar-adan the chiefe steward had left with Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam, ye sonne of Shaphan, and Ieremiah the Prophet, & Baruch the sonne of Neriah.(Geneva) Jérémie 43:6 les hommes, les femmes, les enfants, les filles du roi, et toutes les personnes que Nebuzaradan, chef des gardes, avait laissées avec Guedalia, fils d'Achikam, fils de Schaphan, et aussi Jérémie, le prophète, et Baruc, fils de Nérija.(FR) 6 ׃43 אֶֽת־הַ֠גְּבָרִים וְאֶת־הַנָּשִׁ֣ים וְאֶת־הַטַּף֮ וְאֶת־בְּנ֣וֹת הַמֶּלֶךְ֒ וְאֵ֣ת כָּל־הַנֶּ֗פֶשׁ אֲשֶׁ֤ר הִנִּ֙יחַ֙ נְבוּזַרְאֲדָ֣ן רַב־טַבָּחִ֔ים אֶת־גְּדַלְיָ֖הוּ בֶּן־אֲחִיקָ֣ם בֶּן־שָׁפָ֑ן וְאֵת֙ יִרְמְיָ֣הוּ הַנָּבִ֔יא וְאֶת־בָּר֖וּךְ בֶּן־נֵרִיָּֽהוּ׃ Jeremiah Jer 43:6 the men, the women, the children, the king's daughters and every person that Nebuzaradan the captain of the bodyguard had left with Gedaliah the son of Ahikam and grandson of Shaphan, together with Jeremiah the prophet and Baruch the son of Neriah--(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 43:7 ============ Jer 43:7 So they came into the land of Egypt: for they obeyed not the voice of the LORD: thus came they even to Tahpanhes.(KJV) Jeremiah 43:7 So they came into the lande of Egypt: for they obeied not the voice of the Lorde: thus came they to Tahpanhes.(Geneva) Jérémie 43:7 Ils allèrent au pays d'Egypte, car ils n'obéirent pas à la voix de l'Eternel, et ils arrivèrent à Tachpanès.(FR) 7 ׃43 וַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙ אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם כִּ֛י לֹ֥א שָׁמְע֖וּ בְּק֣וֹל יְהוָ֑ה וַיָּבֹ֖אוּ עַד־תַּחְפַּנְחֵֽס׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 43:7 and they entered the land of Egypt (for they did not obey the voice of the Lord) and went in as far as Tahpanhes. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 43:8 ============ Jer 43:8 Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah in Tahpanhes, saying,(KJV) Jeremiah 43:8 Then came the worde of the Lord vnto Ieremiah in Tahpanhes, saying,(Geneva) Jérémie 43:8 La parole de l'Eternel fut adressée à Jérémie, à Tachpanès, en ces mots:(FR) 8 ׃43 וַיְהִ֤י דְבַר־יְהוָה֙ אֶֽל־יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ בְּתַחְפַּנְחֵ֖ס לֵאמֹֽר׃ Jeremiah Jer 43:8 Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah in Tahpanhes, saying, (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 43:9 ============ Jer 43:9 Take great stones in thine hand, and hide them in the clay in the brickkiln, which is at the entry of Pharaoh's house in Tahpanhes, in the sight of the men of Judah;(KJV) Jeremiah 43:9 Take great stones in thine hand, and hide them in the claie in the bricke kil, which is at the entrie of Pharaohs house in Tanpanhes in ye sight of the men of Iudah,(Geneva) Jérémie 43:9 Prends dans ta main de grandes pierres, et cache-les, en présence des Juifs, dans l'argile du four à briques qui est à l'entrée de la maison de Pharaon à Tachpanès.(FR) 9 ׃43 קַ֣ח בְּיָדְךָ֞ אֲבָנִ֣ים גְּדֹל֗וֹת וּטְמַנְתָּ֤ם בַּמֶּ֙לֶט֙ בַּמַּלְבֵּ֔ן אֲשֶׁ֛ר בְּפֶ֥תַח בֵּית־פַּרְעֹ֖ה בְּתַחְפַּנְחֵ֑ס לְעֵינֵ֖י אֲנָשִׁ֥ים יְהוּדִֽים׃ Jeremiah Jer 43:9 "Take some large stones in your hands and hide them in the mortar in the brick terrace which is at the entrance of Pharaoh's palace in Tahpanhes, in the sight of some of the Jews; (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 43:10 ============ Jer 43:10 And say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will send and take Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will set his throne upon these stones that I have hid; and he shall spread his royal pavilion over them.(KJV) Jeremiah 43:10 And say vnto them, Thus sayeth the Lorde of hostes the God of Israel, Beholde, I will sende and bring Nebuchad-nezzar the King of Babel my seruant, and will set his throne vpon these stones that I haue hid, and he shall spread his pauilion ouer them.(Geneva) Jérémie 43:10 Et tu diras aux Juifs: Ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël: Voici, j'enverrai chercher Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, mon serviteur, et je placerai son trône sur ces pierres que j'ai cachées, et il étendra son tapis sur elles.(FR) 10 ׃43 וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵיהֶ֡ם כֹּֽה־אָמַר֩ יְהוָ֨ה צְבָא֜וֹת אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל הִנְנִ֤י שֹׁלֵ֙חַ֙ וְ֠לָקַחְתִּי אֶת־נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֤ר מֶֽלֶךְ־בָּבֶל֙ עַבְדִּ֔י וְשַׂמְתִּ֣י כִסְא֔וֹ מִמַּ֛עַל לָאֲבָנִ֥ים הָאֵ֖לֶּה אֲשֶׁ֣ר טָמָ֑נְתִּי וְנָטָ֥ה אֶת־*שפרורו **שַׁפְרִיר֖וֹ עֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ Jeremiah Jer 43:10 and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel," Behold, I am going to send and get Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, My servant, and I am going to set his throne right over these stones that I have hidden; and he will spread his canopy over them. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 43:11 ============ Jer 43:11 And when he cometh, he shall smite the land of Egypt, and deliver such as are for death to death; and such as are for captivity to captivity; and such as are for the sword to the sword.(KJV) Jeremiah 43:11 And when he shall come, he shal smite the land of Egypt: such as are appoynted for death, to death, and such as are for captiuitie, to captiuitie, and such as are for the sword to the sword.(Geneva) Jérémie 43:11 Il viendra, et il frappera le pays d'Egypte; à la mort ceux qui sont pour la mort, à la captivité ceux qui sont pour la captivité, à l'épée ceux qui sont pour l'épée!(FR) 11 ׃43 *ובאה **וּבָ֕א וְהִכָּ֖ה אֶת־אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם אֲשֶׁ֧ר לַמָּ֣וֶת לַמָּ֗וֶת וַאֲשֶׁ֤ר לַשְּׁבִי֙ לַשֶּׁ֔בִי וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר לַחֶ֖רֶב לֶחָֽרֶב׃ Jeremiah Jer 43:11 He will also come and strike the land of Egypt; those who are meant for death will be given over to death, and those for captivity to captivity, and those for the sword to the sword. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 43:12 ============ Jer 43:12 And I will kindle a fire in the houses of the gods of Egypt; and he shall burn them, and carry them away captives: and he shall array himself with the land of Egypt, as a shepherd putteth on his garment; and he shall go forth from thence in peace.(KJV) Jeremiah 43:12 And I wil kindle a fire in the houses of the gods of Egypt, and he shall burne them and carie them away captiues, and he shall aray himself with the land of Egypt, as a shepheard putteth on his garment, and shall depart from thence in peace.(Geneva) Jérémie 43:12 Je mettrai le feu aux maisons des dieux de l'Egypte; Nebucadnetsar les brûlera, il emmènera captives les idoles, il s'enveloppera du pays d'Egypte comme le berger s'enveloppe de son vêtement, et il sortira de là en paix.(FR) 12 ׃43 וְהִצַּ֣תִּי אֵ֗שׁ בְּבָתֵּי֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י מִצְרַ֔יִם וּשְׂרָפָ֖ם וְשָׁבָ֑ם וְעָטָה֩ אֶת־אֶ֨רֶץ מִצְרַ֜יִם כַּאֲשֶׁר־יַעְטֶ֤ה הָֽרֹעֶה֙ אֶת־בִּגְד֔וֹ וְיָצָ֥א מִשָּׁ֖ם בְּשָׁלֽוֹם׃ Jeremiah Jer 43:12 And I shall set fire to the temples of the gods of Egypt, and he will burn them and take them captive. So he will wrap himself with the land of Egypt as a shepherd wraps himself with his garment, and he will depart from there safely.
