(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 39:4 ============ Jer 39:4 And it came to pass, that when Zedekiah the king of Judah saw them, and all the men of war, then they fled, and went forth out of the city by night, by the way of the king's garden, by the gate betwixt the two walls: and he went out the way of the plain.(KJV) Jeremiah 39:4 And when Zedekiah the King of Iudah saw them, and all the men of warre, then they fled, and went out of the citie by night, through the Kings garden, and by the gate betweene the two walles, and he went toward the wildernes.(Geneva) Jérémie 39:4 Dès que Sédécias, roi de Juda, et tous les gens de guerre les eurent vus, ils s'enfuirent, et sortirent de la ville pendant la nuit par le chemin du jardin du roi, par la porte entre les deux murs, et ils prirent le chemin de la plaine.(FR) 4 ׃39 וַיְהִ֡י כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר רָ֠אָם צִדְקִיָּ֨הוּ מֶֽלֶךְ־יְהוּדָ֜ה וְכֹ֣ל ׀ אַנְשֵׁ֣י הַמִּלְחָמָ֗ה וַֽ֠יִּבְרְחוּ וַיֵּצְא֨וּ לַ֤יְלָה מִן־הָעִיר֙ דֶּ֚רֶךְ גַּ֣ן הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ בְּשַׁ֖עַר בֵּ֣ין הַחֹמֹתָ֑יִם וַיֵּצֵ֖א דֶּ֥רֶךְ הָעֲרָבָֽה׃ Jeremiah Jer 39:4 When Zedekiah the king of Judah and all the men of war saw them, they fled and went out of the city at night by way of the king's garden through the gate between the two walls; and he went out toward the Arabah. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 39:5 ============ Jer 39:5 But the Chaldeans' army pursued after them, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho: and when they had taken him, they brought him up to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath, where he gave judgment upon him.(KJV) Jeremiah 39:5 But the Caldeans hoste pursued after them, and ouertooke Zedekiah in the desart of Iericho: and when they had taken him, they brought him to Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel vnto Riblah in the land of Hamath, where he gaue iudgement vpon him.(Geneva) Jérémie 39:5 Mais l'armée des Chaldéens les poursuivit, et atteignit Sédécias dans les plaines de Jéricho. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 39:8 ============ Jer 39:8 And the Chaldeans burned the king's house, and the houses of the people, with fire, and brake down the walls of Jerusalem.(KJV) Jeremiah 39:8 And the Caldeans burnt the Kings house, and the houses of the people with fire, and brake downe the walles of Ierusalem.(Geneva) Jérémie 39:8 Les Chaldéens brûlèrent par le feu la maison du roi et les maisons du peuple, et ils démolirent les murailles de Jérusalem.(FR) 8 ׃39 וְאֶת־בֵּ֤ית הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ וְאֶת־בֵּ֣ית הָעָ֔ם שָׂרְפ֥וּ הַכַּשְׂדִּ֖ים בָּאֵ֑שׁ וְאֶת־חֹמ֥וֹת יְרוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם נָתָֽצוּ׃ Jeremiah Jer 39:8 The Chaldeans also burned with fire the king's palace and the houses of the people, and they broke down the walls of Jerusalem. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 39:9 ============ Jer 39:9 Then Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive into Babylon the remnant of the people that remained in the city, and those that fell away, that fell to him, with the rest of the people that remained.(KJV) Jeremiah 39:9 Then Nebuzar-adan the chiefe stewarde caried away captiue into Babel the remnant of the people, that remained in the citie, and those that were fled and fallen vnto him, with the rest of the people that remained.(Geneva) Jérémie 39:9 Nebuzaradan, chef des gardes, emmena captifs à Babylone ceux du peuple qui étaient demeurés dans la ville, ceux qui s'étaient rendus à lui, et le reste du peuple.(FR) 9 ׃39 וְאֵת֩ יֶ֨תֶר הָעָ֜ם הַנִּשְׁאָרִ֣ים בָּעִ֗יר וְאֶת־הַנֹּֽפְלִים֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר נָפְל֣וּ עָלָ֔יו וְאֵ֛ת יֶ֥תֶר הָעָ֖ם הַנִּשְׁאָרִ֑ים הֶגְלָ֛ה נְבֽוּזַר־אֲדָ֥ן רַב־טַבָּחִ֖ים בָּבֶֽל׃ Jeremiah Jer 39:9 As for the rest of the people who were left in the city, the deserters who had gone over to him and the rest of the people who remained, Nebuzaradan the captain of the bodyguard carried them into exile in Babylon. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 39:10 ============ Jer 39:10 But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left of the poor of the people, which had nothing, in the land of Judah, and gave them vineyards and fields at the same time.(KJV) Jeremiah 39:10 But Nebuzar-adan the chiefe steward left the poore that had nothing in the land of Iudah, and gaue them vineyards and fieldes at the same time.(Geneva) Jérémie 39:10 Mais Nebuzaradan, chef des gardes, laissa dans le pays de Juda quelques-uns des plus pauvres du peuple, ceux qui n'avaient rien; et il leur donna alors des vignes et des champs.(FR) 10 ׃39 וּמִן־הָעָ֣ם הַדַּלִּ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֤ר אֵין־לָהֶם֙ מְא֔וּמָה הִשְׁאִ֛יר נְבוּזַרְאֲדָ֥ן רַב־טַבָּחִ֖ים בְּאֶ֣רֶץ יְהוּדָ֑ה וַיִּתֵּ֥ן לָהֶ֛ם כְּרָמִ֥ים וִֽיגֵבִ֖ים בַּיּ֥וֹם הַהֽוּא׃ Jeremiah Jer 39:10 But some of the poorest people who had nothing, Nebuzaradan the captain of the bodyguard left behind in the land of Judah, and gave them vineyards and fields at that time. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 39:11 ============ Jer 39:11 Now Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon gave charge concerning Jeremiah to Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, saying,(KJV) Jeremiah 39:11 Nowe Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel gaue charge concerning Ieremiah vnto Nebuzar-adan the chiefe stewarde, saying,(Geneva) Jérémie 39:11 Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, avait donné cet ordre au sujet de Jérémie par Nebuzaradan, chef des gardes:(FR) 11 ׃39 וַיְצַ֛ו נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֥ר מֶֽלֶךְ־בָּבֶ֖ל עַֽל־יִרְמְיָ֑הוּ בְּיַ֛ד נְבוּזַרְאֲדָ֥ן רַב־טַבָּחִ֖ים לֵאמֹֽר׃ Jeremiah Jer 39:11 Now Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon gave orders about Jeremiah through Nebuzaradan the captain of the bodyguard, saying, (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 39:12 ============ Jer 39:12 Take him, and look well to him, and do him no harm; but do unto him even as he shall say unto thee.(KJV) Jeremiah 39:12 Take him, and looke well to him, & doe him no harme, but doe vnto him euen as he shal say vnto thee.(Geneva) Jérémie 39:12 Prends-le, et veille sur lui; ne lui fais aucun mal, mais agis à son égard comme il te dira.(FR) 12 ׃39 קָחֶ֗נּוּ וְעֵינֶ֙יךָ֙ שִׂ֣ים עָלָ֔יו וְאַל־תַּ֥עַשׂ ל֖וֹ מְא֣וּמָה רָּ֑ע כִּ֗י *אם כַּֽאֲשֶׁר֙ יְדַבֵּ֣ר אֵלֶ֔יךָ כֵּ֖ן עֲשֵׂ֥ה עִמּֽוֹ׃ Jeremiah Jer 39:12 "Take him and look after him, and do nothing harmful to him, but rather deal with him just as he tells you."(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 39:13 ============ Jer 39:13 So Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard sent, and Nebushasban, Rabsaris, and Nergalsharezer, Rabmag, and all the king of Babylon's princes;(KJV) Jeremiah 39:13 So Nebuzar-adan the chiefe steward sent, and Nebushazban, Rabsaris, and Neregal, Sharezar, Rab-mag, and all the King of Babels princes:(Geneva) Jérémie 39:13 Nebuzaradan, chef des gardes, Nebuschazban, chef des eunuques, Nergal-Scharetser, chef des mages, et tous les chefs du roi de Babylone,(FR) 13 ׃39 וַיִּשְׁלַ֞ח נְבֽוּזַרְאֲדָ֣ן רַב־טַבָּחִ֗ים וּנְבֽוּשַׁזְבָּן֙[6] רַב־סָרִ֔יס וְנֵרְגַ֥ל שַׂר־אֶ֖צֶר רַב־מָ֑ג וְכֹ֖ל רַבֵּ֥י מֶֽלֶךְ־בָּבֶֽל׃ Jeremiah Jer 39:13 So Nebuzaradan the captain of the bodyguard sent word, along with Nebushazban the Rab-saris, and Nergal-sar-ezer the Rab-mag, and all the leading officers of the king of Babylon; (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 39:14 ============ Jer 39:14 Even they sent, and took Jeremiah out of the court of the prison, and committed him unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, that he should carry him home: so he dwelt among the people.(KJV) Jeremiah 39:14 Euen they sent, and tooke Ieremiah out of the court of the prison, and committed him vnto Gedaliah the sonne of Ahikam the sonne of Shaphan, that he should cary him home: so he dwelt among the people.(Geneva) Jérémie 39:14 envoyèrent chercher Jérémie dans la cour de la prison, et ils le remirent à Guedalia, fils d'Achikam, fils de Schaphan, pour qu'il fût conduit dans sa maison. Et il resta au milieu du peuple.(FR) 14 ׃39 וַיִּשְׁלְחוּ֩ וַיִּקְח֨וּ אֶֽת־יִרְמְיָ֜הוּ מֵחֲצַ֣ר הַמַּטָּרָ֗ה וַיִּתְּנ֤וּ אֹתוֹ֙ אֶל־גְּדַלְיָ֙הוּ֙ בֶּן־אֲחִיקָ֣ם בֶּן־שָׁפָ֔ן לְהוֹצִאֵ֖הוּ אֶל־הַבָּ֑יִת וַיֵּ֖שֶׁב בְּת֥וֹךְ הָעָֽם׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 39:14 they even sent and took Jeremiah out of the court of the guardhouse and entrusted him to Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, to take him home. So he stayed among the people. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 39:15 ============ Jer 39:15 Now the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah, while he was shut up in the court of the prison, saying,(KJV) Jeremiah 39:15 Now the worde of the Lord came vnto Ieremiah, while he was shut vp in the court of the prison, saying,(Geneva) Jérémie 39:15 La parole de l'Eternel fut adressée à Jérémie en ces mots, pendant qu'il était enfermé dans la cour de la prison:(FR) 15 ׃39 וְאֶֽל־יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ הָיָ֣ה דְבַר־יְהוָ֑ה בִּֽהְיֹת֣וֹ עָצ֔וּר בַּחֲצַ֥ר הַמַּטָּרָ֖ה לֵאמֹֽר׃ Jeremiah Jer 39:15 Now the word of the Lord had come to Jeremiah while he was confined in the court of the guardhouse, saying, (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 39:16 ============ Jer 39:16 Go and speak to Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring my words upon this city for evil, and not for good; and they shall be accomplished in that day before thee.(KJV) Jeremiah 39:16 Go and speake to Ebed-melech the blacke More, saying, Thus saith the Lorde of hostes the God of Israel, Beholde, I wil bring my wordes vpon this citie for euill, and not for good, and they shalbe accomplished in that day before thee.(Geneva) Jérémie 39:16 Va, parle à Ebed-Mélec, l'Ethiopien, et dis-lui: Ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël: Voici, je vais faire venir sur cette ville les choses que j'ai annoncées pour le mal et non pour le bien; elles arriveront en ce jour devant toi.(FR) 16 ׃39 הָל֣וֹךְ וְאָמַרְתָּ֡ לְעֶבֶד־מֶ֨לֶךְ הַכּוּשִׁ֜י לֵאמֹ֗ר כֹּֽה־אָמַ֞ר יְהוָ֤ה צְבָאוֹת֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל הִנְנִי֩ *מבי **מֵבִ֨יא אֶת־דְּבָרַ֜י אֶל־הָעִ֥יר הַזֹּ֛את לְרָעָ֖ה וְלֹ֣א לְטוֹבָ֑ה וְהָי֥וּ לְפָנֶ֖יךָ בַּיּ֥וֹם הַהֽוּא׃ Jeremiah Jer 39:16 "Go and speak to Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, saying, 'Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel," Behold, I am about to bring My words on this city for disaster and not for prosperity; and they will take place before you on that day. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 39:17 ============ Jer 39:17 But I will deliver thee in that day, saith the LORD: and thou shalt not be given into the hand of the men of whom thou art afraid.(KJV) Jeremiah 39:17 But I wil deliuer thee in that day, saith the Lorde, and thou shalt not be giuen into the hand of the men whome thou fearest.(Geneva) Jérémie 39:17 Mais en ce jour je te délivrerai, dit l'Eternel, et tu ne seras pas livré entre les mains des hommes que tu crains.(FR) 17 ׃39 וְהִצַּלְתִּ֥יךָ בַיּוֹם־הַה֖וּא נְאֻם־יְהוָ֑ה וְלֹ֤א תִנָּתֵן֙ בְּיַ֣ד הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֔ים אֲשֶׁר־אַתָּ֥ה יָג֖וֹר מִפְּנֵיהֶֽם׃ Jeremiah Jer 39:17 But I will deliver you on that day," declares the Lord,"and you will not be given into the hand of the men whom you dread. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 39:18 ============ Jer 39:18 For I will surely deliver thee, and thou shalt not fall by the sword, but thy life shall be for a prey unto thee: because thou hast put thy trust in me, saith the LORD.(kjv) Jeremiah 39:18 For I will surely deliuer thee, and thou shalt not fall by the sworde, but thy life shall be for a praye vnto thee, because thou hast put thy trust in me, sayth the Lord.(Geneva) Jérémie 39:18 Je te sauverai, et tu ne tomberas pas sous l'épée; ta vie sera ton butin, parce que tu as eu confiance en moi, dit l'Eternel.(FR) 18 ׃39 כִּ֤י מַלֵּט֙ אֲמַלֶּטְךָ֔ וּבַחֶ֖רֶב לֹ֣א תִפֹּ֑ל וְהָיְתָ֨ה לְךָ֤ נַפְשְׁךָ֙ לְשָׁלָ֔ל כִּֽי־בָטַ֥חְתָּ בִּ֖י נְאֻם־יְהוָֽה׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 39:18 For I will certainly rescue you, and you will not fall by the sword; but you will have your own life as booty, because you have trusted in Me," declares the Lord.'" (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 40:1 ============ Jer 40:1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, after that Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had let him go from Ramah, when he had taken him being bound in chains among all that were carried away captive of Jerusalem and Judah, which were carried away captive unto Babylon.(KJV) Jeremiah 40:1 The worde which came to Ieremiah from the Lorde after that Nebuzar-adan the chiefe stewarde had let him goe from Ramath, when hee had taken him being bound in chaines among all that were caried away captiue of Ierusalem & Iudah, which were caried away captiue vnto Babel.(Geneva) Jérémie 40:1 La parole qui fut adressée à Jérémie de la part de l'Eternel, après que Nebuzaradan, chef des gardes, l'eut renvoyé de Rama.
