Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? Are ye able to drinke of the cup that I shall drinke of, and to be baptized with the baptisme that I shalbe baptized with? Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink?" They said to Him, "We are able."(nasb) ======= Matthew 20:23 ============ Mat 20:23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.(KJV) Matthew 20:23 And he said vnto them, Ye shall drinke in deede of my cup, and shall be baptized with the baptisme, that I am baptized with, but to sit at my right hande, and at my left hand, is not mine to giue: but it shalbe giuen to them for whome it is prepared of my Father.(Geneva) Matthieu 20:23 Et il leur répondit: Il est vrai que vous boirez ma coupe; mais pour ce qui est d'être assis à ma droite et à ma gauche, cela ne dépend pas de moi, et ne sera donné qu'à ceux à qui mon Père l'a réservé.(FR) וַיֹּאמֶר אֲלֵיהֶם כּוֹסִי שָׁתֹה תִשְׁתּוּ וּטְבִילָה אֲשֶׁר אֲנִי נִטְּבָּל תִטָּבֵלוּ אֲבָל לָשֶׁבֶת לִימִינִי וְלִשְׂמֹאלִי אֵין בְּיָדִי לָתֵת כִּי אִם לָאֵלֶּה אֲשֶׁר יָעַד אֹתָם אָבִי׃ כג Matthew Mat 20:23 He said to them, "My cup you shall drink; but to sit on My right and on My left, this is not Mine to give, but it is for those for whom it has been prepared by My Father."(nasb) ======= Matthew 20:24 ============ Mat 20:24 And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation against the two brethren.(KJV) Matthew 20:24 And when the other ten heard this, they disdained at the two brethren.(Geneva) Matthieu 20:24 Les dix, ayant entendu cela, furent indignés contre les deux frères.(FR) וְהָעֲשָׂרָה בְּשָׁמְעָם כָּזֹאת חָרָה אַפָּם בִּשְׁנֵי הָאַחִים׃ כד Matthew Mat 20:24 And hearing this, the ten became indignant with the two brothers. (nasb) ======= Matthew 20:26 ============ Mat 20:26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;(KJV) Matthew 20:26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoeuer will be great among you, let him be your seruant.(Geneva) Matthieu 20:26 Il n'en sera pas de même au milieu de vous.
