Today's Date: ======= Amos 4:1 ============ Amo 4:1 Hear this word, you cows of Bashan who are on the mountain of Samaria, Who oppress the poor, who crush the needy, Who say to your husbands, "Bring now, that we may drink!"(nasb) Amo 4:1 [Audite verbum hoc, vaccæ pingues, quæ estis in monte Samariæ, quæ calumniam facitis egenis et confringitis pauperes; quæ dicitis dominis vestris: Afferte, et bibemus.(vulgate) Amós 4:1 Oíd esta palabra, vacas de Basán, que estáis en el monte de Samaria, que oprimís a los pobres, que quebrantáis a los menesterosos, que decís a sus señores: Traed, y beberemos.(E) Amos 4:1 Ecoutez cette parole, génisses de Basan qui êtes sur la montagne de Samarie, Vous qui opprimez les misérables, qui écrasez les indigents, Et qui dites à vos maris: Apportez, et buvons!(F) Amo 4:1 Höret dies Wort, ihr fetten Kühe, die ihr auf dem Berge Samarias seid und den Dürftigen Unrecht tut und untertretet die Armen und sprecht zu euren Herren: Bringe her, laß uns saufen!(D) Amo 4:1 ἀκούσατε τὸν λόγον τοῦτον δαμάλεις τῆς Βασανίτιδος αἱ ἐν τῷ ὄρει τῆς Σαμαρείας αἱ καταδυναστεύουσαι πτωχοὺς καὶ καταπατοῦσαι πένητας αἱ λέγουσαι τοῖς κυρίοις αὐτῶν ἐπίδοτε ἡμῖν ὅπως πίωμεν(lxx) Amo 4:1 Hear this word, you cows of Bashan, who are on the mountain of Samaria, Who oppress the poor, Who crush the needy, Who say to your husbands, "Bring wine, let us drink!"(nkjv) ======= Amos 4:2 ============ Amo 4:2 The Lord God has sworn by His holiness, "Behold, the days are coming upon you When they will take you away with meat hooks, And the last of you with fish hooks.(nasb) Amo 4:2 Juravit Dominus Deus in sancto suo, quia ecce dies venient super vos, et levabunt vos in contis, et reliquias vestras in ollis ferventibus.(vulgate) Amós 4:2 Jehová el Señor juró por su santidad: He aquí, vienen días sobre vosotros en que os llevará con ganchos, y a vuestros descendientes con anzuelos de pescar.(E) Amos 4:2 Le Seigneur, l'Eternel, l'a juré par sa sainteté: Voici, les jours viendront pour vous Où l'on vous enlèvera avec des crochets, Et votre postérité avec des hameçons;(F) Amo 4:2 Der HERR HERR hat geschworen bei seiner Heiligkeit: Siehe, es kommt die Zeit über euch, daß man euch wird herausziehen mit Angeln und eure Nachkommen mit Fischhaken.(D) Amo 4:2 ὀμνύει κύριος κατὰ τῶν ἁγίων αὐτοῦ διότι ἰδοὺ ἡμέραι ἔρχονται ἐφ᾽ ὑμᾶς καὶ λήμψονται ὑμᾶς ἐν ὅπλοις καὶ τοὺς μεθ᾽ ὑμῶν εἰς λέβητας ὑποκαιομένους ἐμβαλοῦσιν ἔμπυροι λοιμοί(lxx) Amo 4:2 The Lord God has sworn by His holiness: "Behold, the days shall come upon you When He will take you away with fishhooks, And your posterity with fishhooks.(nkjv) ======= Amos 4:3 ============ Amo 4:3 "You will go out through breaches in the walls, Each one straight before her, And you will be cast to Harmon," declares the Lord.(nasb) Amo 4:3 Et per aperturas exibitis altera contra alteram, et projiciemini in Armon, dicit Dominus.]~(vulgate) Amós 4:3 Y saldréis por las brechas la una en pos de la otra, y seréis echadas del palacio, dice Jehová.(E) Amos 4:3 Vous sortirez par les brèches, chacune devant soi, Et vous serez jetées dans la forteresse, dit l'Eternel.(F) Amo 4:3 Und ihr werdet zu den Lücken hinausgehen, eine jegliche vor sich hin, und gen Harmon weggeworfen werden, spricht der HERR.(D) Amo 4:3 καὶ ἐξενεχθήσεσθε γυμναὶ κατέναντι ἀλλήλων καὶ ἀπορριφήσεσθε εἰς τὸ ὄρος τὸ Ρεμμαν λέγει κύριος ὁ θεός(lxx) Amo 4:3 You will go out through broken walls, Each one straight ahead of her, And you will be cast into Harmon," Says the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Amos 4:4 ============ Amo 4:4 "Enter Bethel and transgress; In Gilgal multiply transgression! Bring your sacrifices every morning, Your tithes every three days.(nasb) Amo 4:4 [Venite ad Bethel, et impie agite; ad Galgalam, et multiplicate prævaricationem: et afferte mane victimas vestras, tribus diebus decimas vestras.(vulgate) Amós 4:4 Id a Betel, y prevaricad; en Gilgal aumentad la rebelión, y traed de mañana vuestros sacrificios, [y] vuestros diezmos cada tres años.(E) Amos 4:4 Allez à Béthel, et péchez! Allez à Guilgal, et péchez davantage! Offrez vos sacrifices chaque matin, Et vos dîmes tous les trois jours!(F) Amo 4:4 Ja, kommt her gen Beth-El und treibt Sünde, und gen Gilgal, daß ihr der Sünden viel macht, und bringt eure Opfer des Morgens und eure Zehnten des dritten Tages,(D) Amo 4:4 εἰσήλθατε εἰς Βαιθηλ καὶ ἠνομήσατε καὶ εἰς Γαλγαλα ἐπληθύνατε τοῦ ἀσεβῆσαι καὶ ἠνέγκατε εἰς τὸ πρωὶ θυσίας ὑμῶν εἰς τὴν τριημερίαν τὰ ἐπιδέκατα ὑμῶν(lxx) Amo 4:4 "Come to Bethel and transgress, At Gilgal multiply transgression; Bring your sacrifices every morning, Your tithes every three days.(nkjv) ======= Amos 4:5 ============ Amo 4:5 "Offer a thank offering also from that which is leavened, And proclaim freewill offerings, make them known. For so you love to do, you sons of Israel," Declares the Lord God.(nasb) Amo 4:5 Et sacrificate de fermentato laudem, et vocate voluntarias oblationes, et annuntiate; sic enim voluistis, filii Israël, dicit Dominus Deus.(vulgate) Amós 4:5 Y ofreced sacrificio de alabanza con leudo, y pregonad y publicad ofrendas voluntarias; pues que así lo queréis, hijos de Israel, dice Jehová el Señor.(E) Amos 4:5 Faites vos sacrifices d'actions de grâces avec du levain! Proclamez, publiez vos offrandes volontaires! Car c'est là ce que vous aimez, enfants d'Israël, Dit le Seigneur, l'Eternel.(F) Amo 4:5 und räuchert vom Sauerteig zum Dankopfer und ruft aus freiwillige Opfer und verkündigt es; denn so habt ihr's gern, ihr Kinder Israel, spricht der HERR HERR.(D) Amo 4:5 καὶ ἀνέγνωσαν ἔξω νόμον καὶ ἐπεκαλέσαντο ὁμολογίας ἀπαγγείλατε ὅτι ταῦτα ἠγάπησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ λέγει κύριος ὁ θεός(lxx) Amo 4:5 Offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving with leaven, Proclaim and announce the freewill offerings; For this you love, You children of Israel!" Says the Lord God.(nkjv) ======= Amos 4:6 ============ Amo 4:6 "But I gave you also cleanness of teeth in all your cities And lack of bread in all your places, Yet you have not returned to Me," declares the Lord.(nasb) Amo 4:6 Unde et ego dedi vobis stuporem dentium in cunctis urbibus vestris, et indigentiam panum in omnibus locis vestris; et non estis reversi ad me, dicit Dominus.(vulgate) Amós 4:6 Yo también os di limpieza de dientes en todas vuestras ciudades, y falta de pan en todos vuestros pueblos; pero no os volvisteis a mí, dice Jehová.(E) Amos 4:6 Et moi, je vous ai envoyé la famine dans toutes vos villes, Le manque de pain dans toutes vos demeures. Malgré cela, vous n'êtes pas revenus à moi, dit l'Eternel.(F) Amo 4:6 Darum habe ich euch auch in allen euren Städten müßige Zähne gegeben und Mangel am Brot an allen euren Orten; doch bekehrtet ihr euch nicht zu mir, spricht der HERR.(D) Amo 4:6 καὶ ἐγὼ δώσω ὑμῖν γομφιασμὸν ὀδόντων ἐν πάσαις ταῖς πόλεσιν ὑμῶν καὶ ἔνδειαν ἄρτων ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς τόποις ὑμῶν καὶ οὐκ ἐπεστρέψατε πρός με λέγει κύριος(lxx) Amo 4:6 "Also I gave you cleanness of teeth in all your cities. And lack of bread in all your places; Yet you have not returned to Me," Says the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Amos 4:7 ============ Amo 4:7 "Furthermore, I withheld the rain from you While there were still three months until harvest. Then I would send rain on one city And on another city I would not send rain; One part would be rained on, While the part not rained on would dry up.(nasb) Amo 4:7 Ego quoque prohibui a vobis imbrem, cum adhuc tres menses superessent usque ad messem: et plui super unam civitatem, et super alteram civitatem non plui; pars una compluta est, et pars super quam non plui, aruit.(vulgate) Amós 4:7 Y también yo os detuve la lluvia tres meses antes de la siega; e hice llover sobre una ciudad, y sobre otra ciudad no hice llover; sobre una parte llovió; la parte sobre la cual no llovió, se secó.(E) Amos 4:7 Et moi, je vous ai refusé la pluie, Lorsqu'il y avait encore trois mois jusqu'à la moisson; J'ai fait pleuvoir sur une ville, Et je n'ai pas fait pleuvoir sur une autre ville; Un champ a reçu la pluie, Et un autre qui ne l'a pas reçue s'est desséché.(F) Amo 4:7 Auch habe ich den Regen über euch verhalten, da noch drei Monate waren bis zur Ernte; und ließ regnen über eine Stadt und auf die andere Stadt ließ ich nicht regnen; ein Acker ward beregnet, und der andere Acker, der nicht beregnet ward, verdorrte.(D) Amo 4:7 καὶ ἐγὼ ἀνέσχον ἐξ ὑμῶν τὸν ὑετὸν πρὸ τριῶν μηνῶν τοῦ τρυγήτου καὶ βρέξω ἐπὶ πόλιν μίαν ἐπὶ δὲ πόλιν μίαν οὐ βρέξω μερὶς μία βραχήσεται καὶ μερίς ἐφ᾽ ἣν οὐ βρέξω ἐπ᾽ αὐτήν ξηρανθήσεται(lxx) Amo 4:7 "I also withheld rain from you, When there were still three months to the harvest. I made it rain on one city, I withheld rain from another city. One part was rained upon, And where it did not rain the part withered.(nkjv) ======= Amos 4:8 ============ Amo 4:8 "So two or three cities would stagger to another city to drink water, But would not be satisfied; Yet you have not returned to Me," declares the Lord.(nasb) Amo 4:8 Et venerunt duæ et tres civitates ad unam civitatem ut biberent aquam, et non sunt satiatæ; et non redistis ad me, dicit Dominus.(vulgate) Amós 4:8 Y venían dos [o] tres ciudades a una ciudad para beber agua, y no se saciaban; con todo no os volvisteis a mí, dice Jehová.(E) Amos 4:8 Deux, trois villes sont allées vers une autre pour boire de l'eau, Et elles n'ont point apaisé leur soif. Malgré cela, vous n'êtes pas revenus à moi, dit l'Eternel.(F) Amo 4:8 Und es zogen zwei, drei Städte zu einer Stadt, daß sie Wasser trinken möchten, und konnten nicht genug finden; doch bekehrtet ihr euch nicht zu mir, spricht der HERR.(D) Amo 4:8 καὶ συναθροισθήσονται δύο καὶ τρεῖς πόλεις εἰς πόλιν μίαν τοῦ πιεῖν ὕδωρ καὶ οὐ μὴ ἐμπλησθῶσιν καὶ οὐκ ἐπεστρέψατε πρός με λέγει κύριος(lxx) Amo 4:8 So two or three cities wandered to another city to drink water, But they were not satisfied; Yet you have not returned to Me," Says the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Amos 4:9 ============ Amo 4:9 "I smote you with scorching wind and mildew; And the caterpillar was devouring Your many gardens and vineyards, fig trees and olive trees; Yet you have not returned to Me," declares the Lord.(nasb) Amo 4:9 Percussi vos in vento urente, et in aurugine: multitudinem hortorum vestrorum et vinearum vestrarum, oliveta vestra et ficeta vestra comedit eruca: et non redistis ad me, dicit Dominus.(vulgate) Amós 4:9 Os herí con viento solano y oruga; vuestros muchos huertos y vuestras viñas, y vuestros higuerales y vuestros olivares comió la langosta; pero nunca os volvisteis a mí, dice Jehová.(E) Amos 4:9 Je vous ai frappés par la rouille et par la nielle; Vos nombreux jardins, vos vignes, vos figuiers et vos oliviers Ont été dévorés par les sauterelles. Malgré cela, vous n'êtes pas revenus à moi, dit l'Eternel.(F) Amo 4:9 Ich plagte euch mit dürrer Zeit und mit Brandkorn; so fraßen auch die Raupen alles, was in euren Gärten und Weinbergen, auf euren Feigenbäumen und Ölbäumen wuchs; doch bekehrtet ihr euch nicht zu mir, spricht der HERR.(D) Amo 4:9 ἐπάταξα ὑμᾶς ἐν πυρώσει καὶ ἐν ἰκτέρῳ ἐπληθύνατε κήπους ὑμῶν ἀμπελῶνας ὑμῶν καὶ συκῶνας ὑμῶν καὶ ἐλαιῶνας ὑμῶν κατέφαγεν ἡ κάμπη καὶ οὐδ᾽ ὧς ἐπεστρέψατε πρός με λέγει κύριος(lxx) Amo 4:9 "I blasted you with blight and mildew. When your gardens increased, Your vineyards, Your fig trees, And your olive trees, The locust devoured them; Yet you have not returned to Me," Says the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Amos 4:10 ============ Amo 4:10 "I sent a plague among you after the manner of Egypt; I slew your young men by the sword along with your captured horses, And I made the stench of your camp rise up in your nostrils; Yet you have not returned to Me," declares the Lord.(nasb) Amo 4:10 Misi in vos mortem in via Ægypti; percussi in gladio juvenes vestros, usque ad captivitatem equorum vestrorum, et ascendere feci putredinem castrorum vestrorum in nares vestras: et non redistis ad me, dicit Dominus.(vulgate) Amós 4:10 Envié entre vosotros mortandad tal como en Egipto; maté a espada a vuestros jóvenes, con cautiverio de vuestros caballos; e hice subir el hedor de vuestros campamentos hasta vuestras narices; pero no os volvisteis a mí, dice Jehová.(E) Amos 4:10 J'ai envoyé parmi vous la peste, comme en Egypte; J'ai tué vos jeunes gens par l'épée, Et laissé prendre vos chevaux; J'ai fait monter à vos narines l'infection de votre camp. Malgré cela, vous n'êtes pas revenus à moi, dit l'Eternel.(F) Amo 4:10 Ich schickte Pestilenz unter euch gleicherweise wie in Ägypten; ich tötete eure junge Mannschaft durchs Schwert und ließ eure Pferde gefangen wegführen und ließ den Gestank von eurem Heerlager in eure Nasen gehen; doch bekehrtet ihr euch nicht zu mir, spricht der HERR.(D) Amo 4:10 ἐξαπέστειλα εἰς ὑμᾶς θάνατον ἐν ὁδῷ Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἀπέκτεινα ἐν ῥομφαίᾳ τοὺς νεανίσκους ὑμῶν μετὰ αἰχμαλωσίας ἵππων σου καὶ ἀνήγαγον ἐν πυρὶ τὰς παρεμβολὰς ὑμῶν ἐν τῇ ὀργῇ μου καὶ οὐδ᾽ ὧς ἐπεστρέψατε πρός με λέγει κύριος(lxx) Amo 4:10 "I sent among you a plague after the manner of Egypt; Your young men I killed with a sword, Along with your captive horses; I made the stench of your camps come up into your nostrils; Yet you have not returned to Me," Says the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Amos 4:11 ============ Amo 4:11 "I overthrew you, as God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, And you were like a firebrand snatched from a blaze; Yet you have not returned to Me," declares the Lord.(nasb) Amo 4:11 Subverti vos sicut subvertit Deus Sodomam et Gomorrham, et facti estis quasi torris raptus ab incendio: et non redistis ad me, dicit Dominus.(vulgate) Amós 4:11 Os trastorné, como cuando Dios trastornó a Sodoma y a Gomorra, y fuisteis como tizón escapado del fuego; mas no os volvisteis a mí, dice Jehová.(E) Amos 4:11 Je vous ai bouleversés, Comme Sodome et Gomorrhe, que Dieu détruisit; Et vous avez été comme un tison arraché de l'incendie. Malgré cela, vous n'êtes pas revenus à moi, dit l'Eternel...(F) Amo 4:11 Ich kehrte unter euch um, wie Gott Sodom und Gomorra umkehrte, daß ihr waret wie ein Brand, der aus dem Feuer gerissen wird; doch bekehrtet ihr euch nicht zu mir, spricht der HERR.(D) Amo 4:11 κατέστρεψα ὑμᾶς καθὼς κατέστρεψεν ὁ θεὸς Σοδομα καὶ Γομορρα καὶ ἐγένεσθε ὡς δαλὸς ἐξεσπασμένος ἐκ πυρός καὶ οὐδ᾽ ὧς ἐπεστρέψατε πρός με λέγει κύριος(lxx) Amo 4:11 "I overthrew some of you, As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, And you were like a firebrand plucked from the burning; Yet you have not returned to Me," Says the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Amos 4:12 ============ Amo 4:12 "Therefore thus I will do to you, O Israel; Because I will do this to you, Prepare to meet your God, O Israel."(nasb) Amo 4:12 Quapropter hæc faciam tibi, Israël: postquam autem hæc fecero tibi, præparare in occursum Dei tui, Israël.(vulgate) Amós 4:12 Por tanto, de esta manera haré a ti, oh Israel; y porque te he de hacer esto, prepárate para venir al encuentro con tu Dios, oh Israel.(E) Amos 4:12 C'est pourquoi je te traiterai de la même manière, Israël; Et puisque je te traiterai de la même manière, Prépare-toi à la rencontre de ton Dieu, O Israël!(F) Amo 4:12 Darum will ich dir weiter also tun, Israel. Weil ich denn dir also tun will, so schicke dich, Israel, und begegne deinem Gott.(D) Amo 4:12 διὰ τοῦτο οὕτως ποιήσω σοι Ισραηλ πλὴν ὅτι οὕτως ποιήσω σοι ἑτοιμάζου τοῦ ἐπικαλεῖσθαι τὸν θεόν σου Ισραηλ(lxx) Amo 4:12 "Therefore thus will I do to you, O Israel; Because I will do this to you, Prepare to meet your God, O Israel!"(nkjv) ======= Amos 4:13 ============ Amo 4:13 For behold, He who forms mountains and creates the wind And declares to man what are His thoughts, He who makes dawn into darkness And treads on the high places of the earth, The Lord God of hosts is His name.(nasb) Amo 4:13 Quia ecce formans montes, et creans ventum, et annuntians homini eloquium suum, faciens matutinam nebulam, et gradiens super excelsa terræ: Dominus Deus exercituum nomen ejus.](vulgate) Amós 4:13 Porque he aquí, el que forma los montes, y crea el viento, y declara al hombre su pensamiento; el que hace a las tinieblas mañana, y pasa sobre las alturas de la tierra; Jehová, Dios de los ejércitos es su nombre.(E) Amos 4:13 Car voici celui qui a formé les montagnes et créé le vent, Et qui fait connaître à l'homme ses pensées, Celui qui change l'aurore en ténèbres, Et qui marche sur les hauteurs de la terre: Son nom est l'Eternel, le Dieu des armées.(F) Amo 4:13 Denn siehe, er ist's, der die Berge macht, den Wind schafft und zeigt dem Menschen, was er im Sinn hat.
