He has shed blood and that man shall be cut off from among his people.(nas) Lev 17:4 καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν θύραν τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου μὴ ἐνέγκῃ ὥστε ποιῆσαι αὐτὸ εἰς ὁλοκαύτωμα ἢ σωτήριον κυρίῳ δεκτὸν εἰς ὀσμὴν εὐωδίας καὶ ὃς ἂν σφάξῃ ἔξω καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν θύραν τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου μὴ ἐνέγκῃ αὐτὸ ὥστε μὴ προσενέγκαι δῶρον κυρίῳ ἀπέναντι τῆς σκηνῆς κυρίου καὶ λογισθήσεται τῷ ἀνθρώπῳ ἐκείνῳ αἷμα αἷμα ἐξέχεεν ἐξολεθρευθήσεται ἡ ψυχὴ ἐκείνη ἐκ τοῦ λαοῦ αὐτῆς (lxx) Lev 17:4 et non obtulerit ad ostium tabernaculi oblationem Domino, sanguinis reus erit: quasi si sanguinem fuderit, sic peribit de medio populi sui.(vulgate) Leviticus 17:4 And bringeth it not vnto the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation to offer an offring vnto the Lord before the Tabernacle of the Lord, blood shalbe imputed vnto that man: he hath shed blood, wherefore that man shall be cut off from among his people.(Geneva) Lev 17:4 und es nicht vor die Tür der Hütte des Stifts bringt, daß es dem HERRN zum Opfer gebracht werde vor der Wohnung des HERRN, der soll des Blutes schuldig sein als der Blut vergossen hat, und solcher Mensch soll ausgerottet werden aus seinem Volk.(dhs) Lev 17:4 and does not bring it to the door of the tabernacle of meeting to offer an offering to the Lord before the tabernacle of the Lord, the guilt of bloodshed shall be imputed to that man. He has shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people,(nkjv) ======= Leviticus 17:5 ============ Lev 17:5 The reason is so that the sons of Israel may bring their sacrifices which they were sacrificing in the open field, that they may bring them in to the Lord, at the doorway of the tent of meeting to the priest, and sacrifice them as sacrifices of peace offerings to the Lord.(nas) Lev 17:5 ὅπως ἀναφέρωσιν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ τὰς θυσίας αὐτῶν ὅσας ἂν αὐτοὶ σφάξουσιν ἐν τοῖς πεδίοις καὶ οἴσουσιν τῷ κυρίῳ ἐπὶ τὰς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου πρὸς τὸν ἱερέα καὶ θύσουσιν θυσίαν σωτηρίου τῷ κυρίῳ αὐτά (lxx) Lev 17:5 Ideo sacerdoti offerre debent filii Israël hostias suas, quas occident in agro, ut sanctificentur Domino ante ostium tabernaculi testimonii, et immolent eas hostias pacificas Domino.(vulgate) Leviticus 17:5 Therefore the children of Israel shall bring their offrings, which they would offer abroad in the fielde, & present the vnto ye Lord at the doore of the Tabernacle of ye Congregation by ye Priest, and offer them for peace offrings vnto the Lord.(Geneva) Lev 17:5 Darum sollen die Kinder Israel ihre Schlachttiere, die sie auf dem freien Feld schlachten wollen, vor den HERRN bringen vor die Tür der Hütte des Stifts zum Priester und allda ihre Dankopfer dem HERRN opfern.(dhs) Lev 17:5 to the end that the children of Israel may bring their sacrifices which they offer in the open field, that they may bring them to the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of meeting, to the priest, and offer them as peace offerings to the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Leviticus 17:6 ============ Lev 17:6 The priest shall sprinkle the blood on the altar of the Lord at the doorway of the tent of meeting, and offer up the fat in smoke as a soothing aroma to the Lord.(nas) Lev 17:6 καὶ προσχεεῖ ὁ ἱερεὺς τὸ αἷμα ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον κύκλῳ ἀπέναντι κυρίου παρὰ τὰς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου καὶ ἀνοίσει τὸ στέαρ εἰς ὀσμὴν εὐωδίας κυρίῳ (lxx) Lev 17:6 Fundetque sacerdos sanguinem super altare Domini ad ostium tabernaculi testimonii, et adolebit adipem in odorem suavitatis Domino:(vulgate) Leviticus 17:6 Then the Priest shall sprinkle the blood vpon the Altar of the Lord before the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and burne the fat for a sweete sauour vnto the Lord.(Geneva) Lev 17:6 Und der Priester soll das Blut auf den Altar des HERRN sprengen vor der Tür der Hütte des Stifts und das Fett anzünden zum süßen Geruch dem HERRN.(dhs) Lev 17:6 And the priest shall sprinkle the blood on the altar of the Lord at the door of the tabernacle of meeting, and burn the fat for a sweet aroma to the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Leviticus 17:7 ============ Lev 17:7 They shall no longer sacrifice their sacrifices to the goat demons with which they play the harlot. This shall be a permanent statute to them throughout their generations."'(nas) Lev 17:7 καὶ οὐ θύσουσιν ἔτι τὰς θυσίας αὐτῶν τοῖς ματαίοις οἷς αὐτοὶ ἐκπορνεύουσιν ὀπίσω αὐτῶν νόμιμον αἰώνιον ἔσται ὑμῖν εἰς τὰς γενεὰς ὑμῶν (lxx) Lev 17:7 et nequaquam ultra immolabunt hostias suas dæmonibus, cum quibus fornicati sunt. Legitimum sempiternum erit illis et posteris eorum.(vulgate) Leviticus 17:7 And they shall no more offer their offerings vnto deuils, after whom they haue gone a whoring: this shalbe an ordinance for euer vnto them in their generations.(Geneva) Lev 17:7 Und mitnichten sollen sie ihre Opfer hinfort den Feldteufeln opfern, mit denen sie Abgötterei treiben. Whoever eats it shall be cut off.'(nkjv) ======= Leviticus 17:15 ============ Lev 17:15 When any person eats an animal which dies or is torn by beasts, whether he is a native or an alien, he shall wash his clothes and bathe in water, and remain unclean until evening; then he will become clean.(nas) Lev 17:15 καὶ πᾶσα ψυχή ἥτις φάγεται θνησιμαῖον ἢ θηριάλωτον ἐν τοῖς αὐτόχθοσιν ἢ ἐν τοῖς προσηλύτοις πλυνεῖ τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτοῦ καὶ λούσεται ὕδατι καὶ ἀκάθαρτος ἔσται ἕως ἑσπέρας καὶ καθαρὸς ἔσται (lxx) Lev 17:15 Anima, quæ comederit morticinum, vel captum a bestia, tam de indigenis, quam de advenis, lavabit vestimenta sua et semetipsum aqua, et contaminatus erit usque ad vesperum: et hoc ordine mundus fiet.(vulgate) Leviticus 17:15 And euery person that eateth it which dyeth alone, or that which is torne with beastes, whether it be one of the same countrey or a stranger, he shall both wash his clothes, and wash himselfe in water, and be vncleane vnto the euen: after he shalbe cleane.(Geneva) Lev 17:15 Und welche Seele ein Aas oder was vom Wild zerrissen ist, ißt, er sei ein Einheimischer oder Fremdling, der soll sein Kleid waschen und sich mit Wasser baden und unrein sein bis auf den Abend, so wird er rein.(dhs) Lev 17:15 "And every person who eats what died naturally or what was torn by beasts, whether he is a native of your own country or a stranger, he shall both wash his clothes and bathe in water, and be unclean until evening. Then he shall be clean.(nkjv) ======= Leviticus 17:16 ============ Lev 17:16 But if he does not wash them or bathe his body, then he shall bear his guilt."
