Tell us how we should send it to its place."(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 6:3 ============ 1Sa 6:3 They said, "If you send away the ark of the God of Israel, do not send it empty; but you shall surely return to Him a guilt offering. Then you will be healed and it will be known to you why His hand is not removed from you."(nas) 1Sa 6:3 καὶ εἶπαν εἰ ἐξαπεστέλλετε ὑμεῖς τὴν κιβωτὸν διαθήκης κυρίου θεοῦ Ισραηλ μὴ δὴ ἐξαποστείλητε αὐτὴν κενήν ἀλλὰ ἀποδιδόντες ἀπόδοτε αὐτῇ τῆς βασάνου καὶ τότε ἰαθήσεσθε καὶ ἐξιλασθήσεται ὑμῖν μὴ οὐκ ἀποστῇ ἡ χεὶρ αὐτοῦ ἀφ᾽ ὑμῶν (lxx) 1Sa 6:3 Si remittitis arcam Dei Israël, nolite dimittere eam vacuam, sed quod debetis, reddite ei pro peccato, et tunc curabimini: et scietis quare non recedat manus ejus a vobis.(vulgate) 1 Samuel 6:3 And they sayd, If you send away the Arke of the God of Israel, send it not away emptie, but giue vnto it a sinne offering: then shall ye be healed, and it shall be knowen to you, why his hand departeth not from you.(Geneva) 1Sa 6:3 Sie sprachen: Wollt ihr die Lade des Gottes Israels senden, so sendet sie nicht leer, sondern sollt ihm vergelten ein Schuldopfer; so werdet ihr gesund werden und wird euch kund werden, warum seine Hand nicht von euch läßt.(dhs) 1Sa 6:3 So they said, "If you send away the ark of the God of Israel, do not send it empty; but by all means return it to Him with a trespass offering. And they said, "Five golden tumors and five golden mice according to the number of the lords of the Philistines, for one plague was on all of you and on your lords.(nas) 1Sa 6:4 καὶ λέγουσιν τί τὸ τῆς βασάνου ἀποδώσομεν αὐτῇ καὶ εἶπαν κατ᾽ ἀριθμὸν τῶν σατραπῶν τῶν ἀλλοφύλων πέντε ἕδρας χρυσᾶς ὅτι πταῖσμα ἓν ὑμῖν καὶ τοῖς ἄρχουσιν ὑμῶν καὶ τῷ λαῷ (lxx) 1Sa 6:4 Qui dixerunt: Quid est quod pro delicto reddere debeamus ei? Responderuntque illi:(vulgate) 1 Samuel 6:4 Then sayd they, What shalbe the sinne offring, which we shall giue vnto it? And they answered, Fiue golden emerods and fiue golden mise, according to the number of the princes of the Philistims: for one plague was on you all, and on your princes.(Geneva) 1Sa 6:4 Sie aber sprachen: Welches ist das Schuldopfer, das wir ihm geben sollen? They answered, "Five golden tumors and five golden rats, according to the number of the lords of the Philistines. For the same plague was on all of you and on your lords.(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 6:5 ============ 1Sa 6:5 So you shall make likenesses of your tumors and likenesses of your mice that ravage the land, and you shall give glory to the God of Israel; perhaps He will ease His hand from you, your gods, and your land.(nas) 1Sa 6:5 καὶ μῦς χρυσοῦς ὁμοίωμα τῶν μυῶν ὑμῶν τῶν διαφθειρόντων τὴν γῆν καὶ δώσετε τῷ κυρίῳ δόξαν ὅπως κουφίσῃ τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ ἀφ᾽ ὑμῶν καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν θεῶν ὑμῶν καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς ὑμῶν (lxx) 1Sa 6:5 Juxta numerum provinciarum Philisthinorum quinque anos aureos facietis, et quinque mures aureos: quia plaga una fuit omnibus vobis, et satrapis vestris. Then send it away that it may go.(nas) 1Sa 6:8 καὶ λήμψεσθε τὴν κιβωτὸν καὶ θήσετε αὐτὴν ἐπὶ τὴν ἅμαξαν καὶ τὰ σκεύη τὰ χρυσᾶ ἀποδώσετε αὐτῇ τῆς βασάνου καὶ θήσετε ἐν θέματι βερσεχθαν ἐκ μέρους αὐτῆς καὶ ἐξαποστελεῖτε αὐτὴν καὶ ἀπελάσατε αὐτήν καὶ ἀπελεύσεται (lxx) 1Sa 6:8 Tolletisque arcam Domini, et ponetis in plaustro, et vasa aurea quæ exsolvistis ei pro delicto, ponetis in capsellam ad latus ejus: et dimittite eam ut vadat.(vulgate) 1 Samuel 6:8 Then take the Arke of the Lord, and set it vpon the cart, and put the iewels of gold which ye giue it for a sinne offering in a coffer by the side thereof, and send it away, that it may go.(Geneva) 1Sa 6:8 Und nehmet die Lade des HERRN und legt sie auf den Wagen; und die goldenen Kleinode, die ihr ihm zum Schuldopfer gebet, tut in ein Kästlein neben ihre Seite. But if not, then we will know that it was not His hand that struck us; it happened to us by chance."(nas) 1Sa 6:9 καὶ ὄψεσθε εἰ εἰς ὁδὸν ὁρίων αὐτῆς πορεύσεται κατὰ Βαιθσαμυς αὐτὸς πεποίηκεν ἡμῖν τὴν κακίαν ταύτην τὴν μεγάλην καὶ ἐὰν μή καὶ γνωσόμεθα ὅτι οὐ χεὶρ αὐτοῦ ἧπται ἡμῶν ἀλλὰ σύμπτωμα τοῦτο γέγονεν ἡμῖν (lxx) 1Sa 6:9 Et aspicietis: et si quidem per viam finium suorum ascenderit contra Bethsames, ipse fecit nobis hoc malum grande: sin autem, minime: sciemus quia nequaquam manus ejus tetigit nos, sed casu accidit.~(vulgate) 1 Samuel 6:9 And take heede, if it goe vp by the way of his owne coast to Beth-shemesh, it is he that did vs this great euill: but if not, we shall know then, that it is not his hand that smote vs, but it was a chance that happened vs.(Geneva) 1Sa 6:9 Und sehet zu: geht sie hin auf dem Weg ihrer Grenze gen Beth-Semes, so hat er uns all das große Übel getan; wo nicht, so werden wir wissen, daß sein Hand uns nicht gerührt hat, sondern es ist uns ungefähr widerfahren.(dhs) 1Sa 6:9 And watch: if it goes up the road to its own territory, to Beth Shemesh, then He has done us this great evil. And the lords of the Philistines went after them to the border of Beth Shemesh.(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 6:13 ============ 1Sa 6:13 Now the people of Beth-shemesh were reaping their wheat harvest in the valley, and they raised their eyes and saw the ark and were glad to see it.(nas) 1Sa 6:13 καὶ οἱ ἐν Βαιθσαμυς ἐθέριζον θερισμὸν πυρῶν ἐν κοιλάδι καὶ ἦραν ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτῶν καὶ εἶδον κιβωτὸν κυρίου καὶ ηὐφράνθησαν εἰς ἀπάντησιν αὐτῆς (lxx) 1Sa 6:13 Porro Bethsamitæ metebant triticum in valle: et elevantes oculos suos, viderunt arcam, et gavisi sunt cum vidissent.(vulgate) 1 Samuel 6:13 Nowe they of Beth-shemesh were reaping their wheate haruest in the valley, and they lift vp their eyes, and spied the Arke, and reioyced when they sawe it.(Geneva) 1Sa 6:13 Die Beth-Semiter aber schnitten eben in der Weizenernte im Grund, und hoben ihre Augen auf und sahen die Lade und freuten sich, sie zu sehen.(dhs) 1Sa 6:13 Now the people of Beth Shemesh were reaping their wheat harvest in the valley; and they lifted their eyes and saw the ark, and rejoiced to see it.(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 6:14 ============ 1Sa 6:14 The cart came into the field of Joshua the Beth-shemite and stood there where there was a large stone; and they split the wood of the cart and offered the cows as a burnt offering to the Lord.(nas) 1Sa 6:14 καὶ ἡ ἅμαξα εἰσῆλθεν εἰς ἀγρὸν Ωσηε τὸν ἐν Βαιθσαμυς καὶ ἔστησαν ἐκεῖ παρ᾽ αὐτῇ λίθον μέγαν καὶ σχίζουσιν τὰ ξύλα τῆς ἁμάξης καὶ τὰς βόας ἀνήνεγκαν εἰς ὁλοκαύτωσιν τῷ κυρίῳ (lxx) 1Sa 6:14 Et plaustrum venit in agrum Josue Bethsamitæ, et stetit ibi. Erat autem ibi lapis magnus, et conciderunt ligna plaustri, vaccasque imposuerunt super ea holocaustum Domino.(vulgate) 1 Samuel 6:14 And the cart came into the fielde of Ioshua a Beth-shemite, and stood still there. There was also a great stone, and they claue the wood of the cart, and offered the kine for a burnt offring vnto the Lord.(Geneva) 1Sa 6:14 Der Wagen aber kam auf den Acker Josuas, des Beth-Semiters, und stand daselbst still. Und war ein großer Stein daselbst. Und sie spalteten das Holz vom Wagen und opferten die Kühe dem HERRN zum Brandopfer.(dhs) 1Sa 6:14 Then the cart came into the field of Joshua of Beth Shemesh, and stood there; a large stone was there. So they split the wood of the cart and offered the cows as a burnt offering to the Lord.(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 6:15 ============ 1Sa 6:15 The Levites took down the ark of the Lord and the box that was with it, in which were the articles of gold, and put them on the large stone; and the men of Beth-shemesh offered burnt offerings and sacrificed sacrifices that day to the Lord.(nas) 1Sa 6:15 καὶ οἱ Λευῖται ἀνήνεγκαν τὴν κιβωτὸν τοῦ κυρίου καὶ τὸ θέμα εργαβ μετ᾽ αὐτῆς καὶ τὰ ἐπ᾽ αὐτῆς σκεύη τὰ χρυσᾶ καὶ ἔθεντο ἐπὶ τοῦ λίθου τοῦ μεγάλου καὶ οἱ ἄνδρες Βαιθσαμυς ἀνήνεγκαν ὁλοκαυτώσεις καὶ θυσίας ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ τῷ κυρίῳ (lxx) 1Sa 6:15 Levitæ autem deposuerunt arcam Dei, et capsellam quæ erat juxta eam, in qua erant vasa aurea, et posuerunt super lapidem grandem. Viri autem Bethsamitæ obtulerunt holocausta, et immolaverunt victimas in die illa Domino.(vulgate) 1 Samuel 6:15 And the Leuites tooke downe the Arke of the Lord, and the coffer that was with it, wherein the iewels of golde were, and put them on the great stone, and the men of Beth-shemesh offred burnt offring, and sacrificed sacrifices that same day vnto the Lord.(Geneva) 1Sa 6:15 Die Leviten aber hoben die Lade des HERRN herab und das Kästlein, das obendran war, darin die goldenen Kleinode waren, und setzten sie auf den großen Stein.
