No, surely He would pay attention to me.(nas) Job 23:6 καὶ εἰ ἐν πολλῇ ἰσχύι ἐπελεύσεταί μοι εἶτα ἐν ἀπειλῇ μοι οὐ χρήσεται (lxx) Job 23:6 Nolo multa fortitudine contendat mecum, nec magnitudinis suæ mole me premat.(vulgate) Job 23:6 Would he plead against me with his great power? No, but he would put strength in me.(Geneva) Job 23:6 Will er mit großer Macht mit mir rechten? Er stelle sich nicht so gegen mich,(dhs) Job 23:6 Would He contend with me in His great power? No! But He would take note of me.(nkjv) ======= Job 23:7 ============ Job 23:7 "There the upright would reason with Him; And I would be delivered forever from my Judge.(nas) Job 23:7 ἀλήθεια γὰρ καὶ ἔλεγχος παρ᾽ αὐτοῦ ἐξαγάγοι δὲ εἰς τέλος τὸ κρίμα μου (lxx) Job 23:7 Proponat æquitatem contra me, et perveniat ad victoriam judicium meum.(vulgate) Job 23:7 There the righteous might reason with him, so I shoulde be deliuered for euer from my Iudge.(Geneva) Job 23:7 sondern lege mir's gleich vor, so will ich mein Recht wohl gewinnen.(dhs) Job 23:7 There the upright could reason with Him, And I would be delivered forever from my Judge.(nkjv) ======= Job 23:8 ============ Job 23:8 "Behold, I go forward but He is not there, And backward, but I cannot perceive Him; (nas) Job 23:8 εἰς γὰρ πρῶτα πορεύσομαι καὶ οὐκέτι εἰμί τὰ δὲ ἐπ᾽ ἐσχάτοις τί οἶδα (lxx) Job 23:8 Si ad orientem iero, non apparet; si ad occidentem, non intelligam eum.(vulgate) Job 23:8 Behold, if I go to the East, he is not there: if to the West, yet I can not perceiue him:(Geneva) Job 23:8 Aber ich gehe nun stracks vor mich, so ist er nicht da; gehe ich zurück, so spüre ich ihn nicht;(dhs) Job 23:8 "Look, I go forward, but He is not there, And backward, but I cannot perceive Him;(nkjv) ======= Job 23:9 ============ Job 23:9 When He acts on the left, I cannot behold Him; He turns on the right, I cannot see Him.(nas) Job 23:9 ἀριστερὰ ποιήσαντος αὐτοῦ καὶ οὐ κατέσχον περιβαλεῖ δεξιά καὶ οὐκ ὄψομαι (lxx) Job 23:9 Si ad sinistram, quid agam? non apprehendam eum; si me vertam ad dexteram, non videbo illum.(vulgate) Job 23:9 If to the North where he worketh, yet I cannot see him: he wil hide himselfe in the South, and I cannot beholde him.(Geneva) Job 23:9 ist er zur Linken, so schaue ich ihn nicht; verbirgt er sich zur Rechten, so sehe ich ihn nicht.(dhs) Job 23:9 When He works on the left hand, I cannot behold Him; When He turns to the right hand, I cannot see Him.(nkjv) ======= Job 23:10 ============ Job 23:10 "But He knows the way I take; When He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold.(nas) Job 23:10 οἶδεν γὰρ ἤδη ὁδόν μου διέκρινεν δέ με ὥσπερ τὸ χρυσίον (lxx) Job 23:10 Ipse vero scit viam meam, et probavit me quasi aurum quod per ignem transit.(vulgate) Job 23:10 But he knoweth my way, & trieth mee, and I shal come forth like the gold.(Geneva) Job 23:10 Er aber kennt meinen Weg wohl. (nas) Job 23:17 οὐ γὰρ ᾔδειν ὅτι ἐπελεύσεταί μοι σκότος πρὸ προσώπου δέ μου ἐκάλυψεν γνόφος (lxx) Job 23:17 Non enim perii propter imminentes tenebras, nec faciem meam operuit caligo.](vulgate) Job 23:17 For I am not cut off in darknesse, but he hath hid the darkenesse from my face.(Geneva) Job 23:17 Denn die Finsternis macht kein Ende mit mir, und das Dunkel will vor mir nicht verdeckt werden.(dhs) Job 23:17 Because I was not cut off from the presence of darkness, And He did not hide deep darkness from my face.(nkjv) ======= Job 24:1 ============ Job 24:1 "Why are times not stored up by the Almighty, And why do those who know Him not see His days?
