Quid est quod factum est? Ipsum quod faciendum est.(vulgate) Ecclesiastes 1:9 What is it that hath bene? That that shalbe: and what is it that hath bene done? (nas) Ecl 1:10 ὃς λαλήσει καὶ ἐρεῖ ἰδὲ τοῦτο καινόν ἐστιν ἤδη γέγονεν ἐν τοῖς αἰῶσιν τοῖς γενομένοις ἀπὸ ἔμπροσθεν ἡμῶν (lxx) Ecl 1:10 Nihil sub sole novum, nec valet quisquam dicere: Ecce hoc recens est: jam enim præcessit in sæculis quæ fuerunt ante nos.(vulgate) Ecclesiastes 1:10 Is there any thing, whereof one may say, Beholde this, it is newe? It hath bene already in the olde time that was before vs.(Geneva) Ecl 1:10 Geschieht auch etwas, davon man sagen möchte: Siehe, das ist neu? It is a grievous task which God has given to the sons of men to be afflicted with. (nas) Ecl 1:13 καὶ ἔδωκα τὴν καρδίαν μου τοῦ ἐκζητῆσαι καὶ τοῦ κατασκέψασθαι ἐν τῇ σοφίᾳ περὶ πάντων τῶν γινομένων ὑπὸ τὸν οὐρανόν ὅτι περισπασμὸν πονηρὸν ἔδωκεν ὁ θεὸς τοῖς υἱοῖς τοῦ ἀνθρώπου τοῦ περισπᾶσθαι ἐν αὐτῷ (lxx) Ecl 1:13 et proposui in animo meo quærere et investigare sapienter de omnibus quæ fiunt sub sole. Hanc occupationem pessimam dedit Deus filiis hominum, ut occuparentur in ea.(vulgate) Ecclesiastes 1:13 And I haue giuen mine heart to search and finde out wisdome by all things that are done vnder the heauen: (this sore trauaile hath GOD giuen to the sonnes of men, to humble them thereby)(Geneva) Ecl 1:13 und richtete mein Herz zu suchen und zu forschen weislich alles, was man unter dem Himmel tut.
