Today's Date: ======= Jeremiah 21:1 ============ Jer 21:1 The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord when King Zedekiah sent to him Pashhur the son of Malchijah, and Zephaniah the priest, the son of Maaseiah, saying, (nas) Jer 21:1 ὁ λόγος ὁ γενόμενος παρὰ κυρίου πρὸς Ιερεμιαν ὅτε ἀπέστειλεν πρὸς αὐτὸν ὁ βασιλεὺς Σεδεκιας τὸν Πασχωρ υἱὸν Μελχιου καὶ Σοφονιαν υἱὸν Μαασαιου τὸν ἱερέα λέγων (lxx) Jer 21:1 Verbum quod factum est ad Jeremiam a Domino, quando misit ad eum rex Sedecias Phassur filium Melchiæ, et Sophoniam filium Maasiæ sacerdotem, dicens:(vulgate) Jeremiah 21:1 The worde which came vnto Ieremiah from the Lord, when king Zedekiah sent vnto him Pashur, the sonne of Malchiah, and Zephaniah, the sonne of Maaseiah the Priest, saying,(Geneva) Jer 21:1 Dies ist das Wort, so vom HERRN geschah zu Jeremia, da der König Zedekia zu ihm sandte Pashur, den Sohn Malchias, und Zephanja, den Sohn Maasejas, den Priester, und ließ ihm sagen:(dhs) Jer 21:1 The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord when King Zedekiah sent to him Pashhur the son of Melchiah, and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah, the priest, saying,(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 21:2 ============ Jer 21:2 "Please inquire of the Lord on our behalf, for Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon is warring against us; perhaps the Lord will deal with us according to all His wonderful acts, so that the enemy will withdraw from us."(nas) Jer 21:2 ἐπερώτησον περὶ ἡμῶν τὸν κύριον ὅτι βασιλεὺς Βαβυλῶνος ἐφέστηκεν ἐφ᾽ ἡμᾶς εἰ ποιήσει κύριος κατὰ πάντα τὰ θαυμάσια αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀπελεύσεται ἀφ᾽ ἡμῶν (lxx) Jer 21:2 Interroga pro nobis Dominum, quia Nabuchodonosor, rex Babylonis, præliatur adversum nos: si forte faciat Dominus nobiscum secundum omnia mirabilia sua, et recedat a nobis.(vulgate) Jeremiah 21:2 Inquire, I pray thee, of the Lorde for vs, (for Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel maketh warre against vs) if so be that the Lord will deale with vs according to all his wonderous workes, that he may returne vp from vs.(Geneva) Jer 21:2 Frage doch den HERRN für uns. Denn Nebukadnezar, der König zu Babel, streitet wider uns; daß der HERR doch mit uns tun wolle nach allen seinen Wundern, damit er von uns abzöge.(dhs) Jer 21:2 "Please inquire of the Lord for us, for Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon makes war against us. Perhaps the Lord will deal with us according to all His wonderful works, that the king may go away from us."(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 21:3 ============ Jer 21:3 Then Jeremiah said to them, "You shall say to Zedekiah as follows: (nas) Jer 21:3 καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτοὺς Ιερεμιας οὕτως ἐρεῖτε πρὸς Σεδεκιαν βασιλέα Ιουδα (lxx) Jer 21:3 Et dixit Jeremias ad eos: Sic dicetis Sedeciæ:(vulgate) Jeremiah 21:3 Then said Ieremiah, Thus shall you say to Zedekiah,(Geneva) Jer 21:3 Jeremia sprach zu ihnen: So saget Zedekia:(dhs) Jer 21:3 Then Jeremiah said to them, "Thus you shall say to Zedekiah,(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 21:4 ============ Jer 21:4 'Thus says the Lord God of Israel," Behold, I am about to turn back the weapons of war which are in your hands, with which you are warring against the king of Babylon and the Chaldeans who are besieging you outside the wall; and I will gather them into the center of this city. (nas) Jer 21:4 τάδε λέγει κύριος ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ μεταστρέφω τὰ ὅπλα τὰ πολεμικά ἐν οἷς ὑμεῖς πολεμεῖτε ἐν αὐτοῖς πρὸς τοὺς Χαλδαίους τοὺς συγκεκλεικότας ὑμᾶς ἔξωθεν τοῦ τείχους εἰς τὸ μέσον τῆς πόλεως ταύτης (lxx) Jer 21:4 Hæc dicit Dominus Deus Israël: Ecce ego convertam vasa belli quæ in manibus vestris sunt, et quibus vos pugnatis adversum regem Babylonis et Chaldæos qui obsident vos in circuitu murorum: et congregabo ea in medio civitatis hujus.(vulgate) Jeremiah 21:4 Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Behold, I will turne backe the weapons of warre that are in your hands, wherewith ye fight against the King of Babel, and against the Caldeans, which besiege you without the walles, and I will assemble them into the middes of this citie.(Geneva) Jer 21:4 Das spricht der Herr, der Gott Israels: Siehe, ich will die Waffen zurückwenden, die ihr in euren Händen habt, womit ihr streitet wider den König zu Babel und wider die Chaldäer, welche euch draußen an der Mauer belagert haben; und will sie zuhauf sammeln mitten in dieser Stadt.(dhs) Jer 21:4 'Thus says the Lord God of Israel: "Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands, with which you fight against the king of Babylon and the Chaldeans who besiege you outside the walls; and I will assemble them in the midst of this city.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 21:5 ============ Jer 21:5 I Myself will war against you with an outstretched hand and a mighty arm, even in anger and wrath and great indignation. (nas) Jer 21:5 καὶ πολεμήσω ἐγὼ ὑμᾶς ἐν χειρὶ ἐκτεταμένῃ καὶ ἐν βραχίονι κραταιῷ μετὰ θυμοῦ καὶ ὀργῆς καὶ παροργισμοῦ μεγάλου (lxx) Jer 21:5 Et debellabo ego vos in manu extenta, et in brachio forti, et in furore, et in indignatione, et in ira grandi.(vulgate) Jeremiah 21:5 And I my selfe will fight against you with an outstretched hand, & with a mighty arme, eue in anger and in wrath, and in great indignation.(Geneva) Jer 21:5 Und ich will wider euch streiten mit ausgereckter Hand, mit starkem Arm, mit Zorn, Grimm und großer Ungnade.(dhs) Jer 21:5 I Myself will fight against you with an outstretched hand and with a strong arm, even in anger and fury and great wrath.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 21:6 ============ Jer 21:6 I will also strike down the inhabitants of this city, both man and beast; they will die of a great pestilence. (nas) Jer 21:6 καὶ πατάξω πάντας τοὺς κατοικοῦντας ἐν τῇ πόλει ταύτῃ τοὺς ἀνθρώπους καὶ τὰ κτήνη ἐν θανάτῳ μεγάλῳ καὶ ἀποθανοῦνται (lxx) Jer 21:6 Et percutiam habitatores civitatis hujus: homines et bestiæ pestilentia magna morientur.(vulgate) Jeremiah 21:6 And I will smite the inhabitants of this citie, both man, and beast: they shall die of a great pestilence.(Geneva) Jer 21:6 Und ich will die Bürger dieser Stadt schlagen, die Menschen und das Vieh, daß sie sterben sollen durch eine große Pestilenz.(dhs) Jer 21:6 I will strike the inhabitants of this city, both man and beast; they shall die of a great pestilence.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 21:7 ============ Jer 21:7 Then afterwards," declares the Lord, "I will give over Zedekiah king of Judah and his servants and the people, even those who survive in this city from the pestilence, the sword and the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of their foes and into the hand of those who seek their lives; and he will strike them down with the edge of the sword. He will not spare them nor have pity nor compassion."'(nas) Jer 21:7 καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα οὕτως λέγει κύριος δώσω τὸν Σεδεκιαν βασιλέα Ιουδα καὶ τοὺς παῖδας αὐτοῦ καὶ τὸν λαὸν τὸν καταλειφθέντα ἐν τῇ πόλει ταύτῃ ἀπὸ τοῦ θανάτου καὶ ἀπὸ τοῦ λιμοῦ καὶ ἀπὸ τῆς μαχαίρας εἰς χεῖρας ἐχθρῶν αὐτῶν τῶν ζητούντων τὰς ψυχὰς αὐτῶν καὶ κατακόψουσιν αὐτοὺς ἐν στόματι μαχαίρας οὐ φείσομαι ἐπ᾽ αὐτοῖς καὶ οὐ μὴ οἰκτιρήσω αὐτούς (lxx) Jer 21:7 Et post hæc, ait Dominus, dabo Sedeciam regem Juda, et servos ejus, et populum ejus, et qui derelicti sunt in civitate hac a peste, et gladio, et fame, in manu Nabuchodonosor regis Babylonis, et in manu inimicorum eorum, et in manu quærentium animam eorum: et percutiet eos in ore gladii, et non flectetur, neque parcet, nec miserebitur.(vulgate) Jeremiah 21:7 And after this, sayeth the Lorde, I will deliuer Zedekiah the King of Iudah, and his seruants, and the people, and such as are left in this citie, from the pestilence, from the sworde and from the famine into the hande of Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel, and into the hande of their enemies, and into the hande of those that seeke their liues, and he shall smite them with the edge of the sworde: he shall not spare them, neither haue pitie nor compassion.(Geneva) Jer 21:7 Und darnach, spricht der HERR, will ich Zedekia, den König Juda's, samt seinen Knechten und dem Volk, das in dieser Stadt vor der Pestilenz, vor Schwert und Hunger übrigbleiben wird, geben in die Hände Nebukadnezars, des Königs zu Babel, und in die Hände ihrer Feinde, und in die Hände derer, die ihnen nach dem Leben stehen, daß er sie mit der Schärfe des Schwerts also schlage, daß kein Schonen noch Gnade noch Barmherzigkeit da sei.(dhs) Jer 21:7 And afterward," says the Lord, "I will deliver Zedekiah king of Judah, his servants and the people, and such as are left in this city from the pestilence and the sword and the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those who seek their life; and he shall strike them with the edge of the sword. He shall not spare them, or have pity or mercy." '(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 21:8 ============ Jer 21:8 "You shall also say to this people, 'Thus says the Lord, "Behold, I set before you the way of life and the way of death. (nas) Jer 21:8 καὶ πρὸς τὸν λαὸν τοῦτον ἐρεῖς τάδε λέγει κύριος ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ δέδωκα πρὸ προσώπου ὑμῶν τὴν ὁδὸν τῆς ζωῆς καὶ τὴν ὁδὸν τοῦ θανάτου (lxx) Jer 21:8 Et ad populum hunc dices: Hæc dicit Dominus: Ecce ego do coram vobis viam vitæ, et viam mortis.(vulgate) Jeremiah 21:8 And vnto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the Lorde, Beholde, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death.(Geneva) Jer 21:8 Und sage diesem Volk: So spricht der HERR: Siehe, ich lege euch vor den Weg zum Leben und den Weg zum Tode.(dhs) Jer 21:8 "Now you shall say to this people, 'Thus says the Lord: "Behold, I set before you the way of life and the way of death.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 21:9 ============ Jer 21:9 He who dwells in this city will die by the sword and by famine and by pestilence; but he who goes out and falls away to the Chaldeans who are besieging you will live, and he will have his own life as booty. (nas) Jer 21:9 ὁ καθήμενος ἐν τῇ πόλει ταύτῃ ἀποθανεῖται ἐν μαχαίρᾳ καὶ ἐν λιμῷ καὶ ὁ ἐκπορευόμενος προσχωρῆσαι πρὸς τοὺς Χαλδαίους τοὺς συγκεκλεικότας ὑμᾶς ζήσεται καὶ ἔσται ἡ ψυχὴ αὐτοῦ εἰς σκῦλα καὶ ζήσεται (lxx) Jer 21:9 Qui habitaverit in urbe hac morietur gladio, et fame, et peste: qui autem egressus fuerit, et transfugerit ad Chaldæos qui obsident vos, vivet, et erit ei anima sua quasi spolium.(vulgate) Jeremiah 21:9 He that abideth in this citie, shall dye by the sword and by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goeth out, and falleth to the Caldeans, that besiege you, he shall liue, and his life shalbe vnto him for a pray.(Geneva) Jer 21:9 Wer in dieser Stadt bleibt, der wird sterben müssen durch Schwert, Hunger und Pestilenz; wer aber sich hinausbegibt zu den Chaldäern, die euch belagern, der soll lebendig bleiben und soll sein Leben als eine Ausbeute behalten.(dhs) Jer 21:9 He who remains in this city shall die by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence; but he who goes out and defects to the Chaldeans who besiege you, he shall live, and his life shall be as a prize to him.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 21:10 ============ Jer 21:10 For I have set My face against this city for harm and not for good," declares the Lord." It will be given into the hand of the king of Babylon and he will burn it with fire."'(nas) Jer 21:10 διότι ἐστήρικα τὸ πρόσωπόν μου ἐπὶ τὴν πόλιν ταύτην εἰς κακὰ καὶ οὐκ εἰς ἀγαθά εἰς χεῖρας βασιλέως Βαβυλῶνος παραδοθήσεται καὶ κατακαύσει αὐτὴν ἐν πυρί (lxx) Jer 21:10 Posui enim faciem meam super civitatem hanc in malum, et non in bonum, ait Dominus: in manu regis Babylonis dabitur, et exuret eam igni.(vulgate) Jeremiah 21:10 For I haue set my face against this citie, for euill and not for good, saith the Lorde: it shalbe giuen into the hande of the King of Babel, and he shall burne it with fire.(Geneva) Jer 21:10 Denn ich habe mein Angesicht über diese Stadt gerichtet zum Unglück und zu keinem Guten, spricht der HERR. Sie soll dem König zu Babel übergeben werden, daß er sie mit Feuer verbrenne.(dhs) Jer 21:10 For I have set My face against this city for adversity and not for good," says the Lord. '(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 21:11 ============ Jer 21:11 "Then say to the household of the king of Judah, 'Hear the word of the Lord, (nas) Jer 21:11 ὁ οἶκος βασιλέως Ιουδα ἀκούσατε λόγον κυρίου (lxx) Jer 21:11 Et domui regis Juda: [Audite verba Domini,(vulgate) Jeremiah 21:11 And say vnto the house of the King of Iudah, Heare ye the worde of the Lorde.(Geneva) Jer 21:11 Und höret des HERRN Wort, ihr vom Hause des Königs in Juda!(dhs) Jer 21:11 "And concerning the house of the king of Judah, say, 'Hear the word of the Lord,(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 21:12 ============ Jer 21:12 O house of David, thus says the Lord:" Administer justice every morning; And deliver the person who has been robbed from the power of his oppressor, That My wrath may not go forth like fire And burn with none to extinguish it, Because of the evil of their deeds. (nas) Jer 21:12 οἶκος Δαυιδ τάδε λέγει κύριος κρίνατε τὸ πρωὶ κρίμα καὶ κατευθύνατε καὶ ἐξέλεσθε διηρπασμένον ἐκ χειρὸς ἀδικοῦντος αὐτόν ὅπως μὴ ἀναφθῇ ὡς πῦρ ἡ ὀργή μου καὶ καυθήσεται καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ὁ σβέσων (lxx) Jer 21:12 domus David. Hæc dicit Dominus: Judicate mane judicium, et eruite vi oppressum de manu calumniantis, ne forte egrediatur ut ignis indignatio mea, et succendatur, et non sit qui extinguat, propter malitiam studiorum vestrorum.(vulgate) Jeremiah 21:12 O house of Dauid, thus saith the Lorde, Execute iudgement in the morning, and deliuer the oppressed out of the hande of the oppressor, lest my wrath go out like fire and burne, that none can quench it, because of the wickednes of your workes.(Geneva) Jer 21:12 Du Haus David, so spricht der Herr: Haltet des Morgens Gericht und errettet die Beraubten aus des Frevlers Hand, auf daß mein Grimm nicht ausfahre wie ein Feuer und brenne also, das niemand löschen könne, um eures bösen Wesens willen.(dhs) Jer 21:12 O house of David! Or who will enter into our habitations?'(nas) Jer 21:13 ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ πρὸς σὲ τὸν κατοικοῦντα τὴν κοιλάδα Σορ τὴν πεδινὴν τοὺς λέγοντας τίς πτοήσει ἡμᾶς ἢ τίς εἰσελεύσεται πρὸς τὸ κατοικητήριον ἡμῶν (lxx) Jer 21:13 Ecce ego ad te, habitatricem vallis solidæ atque campestris, ait Dominus: qui dicitis: Quis percutiet nos? et quis ingredietur domos nostras?(vulgate) Jeremiah 21:13 Beholde, I come against thee, O inhabitant of the valley, & rocke of the plaine, saith the Lord, which say, Who shall come downe against vs? or who shall enter into our habitations?(Geneva) Jer 21:13 Siehe, spricht der HERR, ich will an dich, die du wohnst im Grunde, auf dem Felsen der Ebene und sprichst: Wer will uns überfallen oder in unsre Feste kommen?(dhs) Jer 21:13 "Behold, I am against you, O inhabitant of the valley, And rock of the plain," says the Lord, "Who say, 'Who shall come down against us? Or who shall enter our dwellings?'(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 21:14 ============ Jer 21:14 "But I will punish you according to the results of your deeds," declares the Lord, "And I will kindle a fire in its forest That it may devour all its environs."'" (nas) Jer 21:14 καὶ ἀνάψω πῦρ ἐν τῷ δρυμῷ αὐτῆς καὶ ἔδεται πάντα τὰ κύκλῳ αὐτῆς (lxx) Jer 21:14 Et visitabo super vos juxta fructum studiorum vestrorum, dicit Dominus: et succendam ignem in saltu ejus, et devorabit omnia in circuitu ejus.](vulgate) Jeremiah 21:14 But I wil visite you according to the fruite of your workes, saith the Lord, and I will kindle a fire in the forest thereof, and it shall deuoure rounde about it.(Geneva) Jer 21:14 Ich will euch heimsuchen, spricht der HERR, nach der Frucht eures Tuns; ich will ein Feuer anzünden in ihrem Walde, das soll alles umher verzehren.(dhs) Jer 21:14 But I will punish you according to the fruit of your doings," says the Lord; "I will kindle a fire in its forest, And it shall devour all things around it." ' "(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 22:1 ============ Jer 22:1 Thus says the Lord, "Go down to the house of the king of Judah, and there speak this word(nas) Jer 22:1 τάδε λέγει κύριος πορεύου καὶ κατάβηθι εἰς τὸν οἶκον τοῦ βασιλέως Ιουδα καὶ λαλήσεις ἐκεῖ τὸν λόγον τοῦτον (lxx) Jer 22:1 Hæc dicit Dominus: Descende in domum regis Juda, et loqueris ibi verbum hoc,(vulgate) Jeremiah 22:1 Thus said the Lorde, Goe downe to the house of the King of Iudah, and speake there this thing,(Geneva) Jer 22:1 So spricht der HERR: Gehe hinab in das Haus des Königs in Juda und rede daselbst dies Wort(dhs) Jer 22:1 Thus says the Lord: "Go down to the house of the king of Judah, and there speak this word,(nkjv) |
