(nas) Jer 22:2 καὶ ἐρεῖς ἄκουε λόγον κυρίου βασιλεῦ Ιουδα ὁ καθήμενος ἐπὶ θρόνου Δαυιδ σὺ καὶ ὁ οἶκός σου καὶ ὁ λαός σου καὶ οἱ εἰσπορευόμενοι ταῖς πύλαις ταύταις (lxx) Jer 22:2 et dices: [Audi verbum Domini, rex Juda, qui sedes super solium David: tu et servi tui, et populus tuus, qui ingredimini per portas istas.(vulgate) Jeremiah 22:2 And say, Heare the worde of the Lorde, O King of Iudah, that sittest vpon the throne of Dauid, thou and thy seruants, and thy people that enter in by these gates.(Geneva) Jer 22:2 und sprich: Höre des HERRN Wort, du König Juda's, der du auf dem Stuhl Davids sitzest, du und deine Knechte und dein Volk, die zu diesen Toren eingehen.(dhs) Jer 22:2 and say, 'Hear the word of the Lord, O king of Judah, you who sit on the throne of David, you and your servants and your people who enter these gates!(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 22:3 ============ Jer 22:3 Thus says the Lord, "Do justice and righteousness, and deliver the one who has been robbed from the power of his oppressor. Also do not mistreat or do violence to the stranger, the orphan, or the widow; and do not shed innocent blood in this place. (nas) Jer 22:3 τάδε λέγει κύριος ποιεῖτε κρίσιν καὶ δικαιοσύνην καὶ ἐξαιρεῖσθε διηρπασμένον ἐκ χειρὸς ἀδικοῦντος αὐτὸν καὶ προσήλυτον καὶ ὀρφανὸν καὶ χήραν μὴ καταδυναστεύετε καὶ μὴ ἀσεβεῖτε καὶ αἷμα ἀθῷον μὴ ἐκχέητε ἐν τῷ τόπῳ τούτῳ (lxx) Jer 22:3 Hæc dicit Dominus: Facite judicium et justitiam, et liberate vi oppressum de manu calumniatoris: et advenam, et pupillum, et viduam nolite contristare, neque opprimatis inique, et sanguinem innocentem ne effundatis in loco isto.(vulgate) Jeremiah 22:3 Thus saith the Lorde, Execute ye iudgement and righteousnes, and deliuer the oppressed from the hande of the oppressor, and vexe not the stranger, the fatherlesse, nor the widowe: doe no violence, nor sheade innocent blood in this place.(Geneva) Jer 22:3 So spricht der HERR: Haltet Recht und Gerechtigkeit, und errettet den Beraubten von des Frevlers Hand, und schindet nicht die Fremdlinge, Waisen und Witwen, und tut niemand Gewalt, und vergießt nicht unschuldig Blut an dieser Stätte.(dhs) Jer 22:3 Thus says the Lord: "Execute judgment and righteousness, and deliver the plundered out of the hand of the oppressor. Do no wrong and do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, or the widow, nor shed innocent blood in this place.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 22:4 ============ Jer 22:4 For if you men will indeed perform this thing, then kings will enter the gates of this house, sitting in David's place on his throne, riding in chariots and on horses, even the king himself and his servants and his people. (nas) Jer 22:4 διότι ἐὰν ποιοῦντες ποιήσητε τὸν λόγον τοῦτον καὶ εἰσελεύσονται ἐν ταῖς πύλαις τοῦ οἴκου τούτου βασιλεῖς καθήμενοι ἐπὶ θρόνου Δαυιδ καὶ ἐπιβεβηκότες ἐφ᾽ ἁρμάτων καὶ ἵππων αὐτοὶ καὶ οἱ παῖδες αὐτῶν καὶ ὁ λαὸς αὐτῶν (lxx) Jer 22:4 Si enim facientes feceritis verbum istud, ingredientur per portas domus hujus reges sedentes de genere David super thronum ejus, et ascendentes currus et equos, ipsi, et servi, et populus eorum.(vulgate) Jeremiah 22:4 For if ye do this thing, then shall the kings sitting vpon the throne of Dauid enter in by the gates of this House, and ride vpon charets, and vpon horses, both he and his seruants and his people.(Geneva) Jer 22:4 Werdet ihr solches tun, so sollen durch die Tore dieses Hauses einziehen Könige die auf Davids Stuhl sitzen, zu Wagen und zu Rosse, samt ihren Knechten und ihrem Volk.(dhs) Jer 22:4 For if you indeed do this thing, then shall enter the gates of this house, riding on horses and in chariots, accompanied by servants and people, kings who sit on the throne of David.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 22:5 ============ Jer 22:5 But if you will not obey these words, I swear by Myself," declares the Lord, "that this house will become a desolation."'"(nas) Jer 22:5 ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ποιήσητε τοὺς λόγους τούτους κατ᾽ ἐμαυτοῦ ὤμοσα λέγει κύριος ὅτι εἰς ἐρήμωσιν ἔσται ὁ οἶκος οὗτος (lxx) Jer 22:5 Quod si non audieritis verba hæc: in memetipso juravi, dicit Dominus, quia in solitudinem erit domus hæc.(vulgate) Jeremiah 22:5 But if ye will not heare these wordes, I sweare by my selfe, saith the Lorde, that this House shalbe waste.(Geneva) Jer 22:5 Werdet ihr aber solchem nicht gehorchen, so habe ich bei mir selbst geschworen, spricht der HERR, dies Haus soll zerstört werden.(dhs) Jer 22:5 But if you will not hear these words, I swear by Myself," says the Lord, "that this house shall become a desolation." ' "(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 22:6 ============ Jer 22:6 For thus says the Lord concerning the house of the king of Judah:" You are like Gilead to Me, Like the summit of Lebanon; Yet most assuredly I will make you like a wilderness, Like cities which are not inhabited. (nas) Jer 22:6 ὅτι τάδε λέγει κύριος κατὰ τοῦ οἴκου βασιλέως Ιουδα Γαλααδ σύ μοι ἀρχὴ τοῦ Λιβάνου ἐὰν μὴ θῶ σε εἰς ἔρημον πόλεις μὴ κατοικηθησομένας (lxx) Jer 22:6 Quia hæc dicit Dominus super domum regis Juda: Galaad, tu mihi caput Libani, si non posuero te solitudinem, urbes inhabitabiles!(vulgate) Jeremiah 22:6 For thus hath the Lorde spoken vpon the Kings house of Iudah, Thou art Gilead vnto me, & the head of Lebanon, yet surely I wil make thee a wildernes and as cities not inhabited,(Geneva) Jer 22:6 Denn so spricht der HERR von dem Hause des Königs in Juda: Ein Gilead bist du mir, ein Haupt im Libanon. Was gilt's? ich will dich zur Wüste und die Einwohner ohne Städte machen.(dhs) Jer 22:6 For thus says the Lord to the house of the king of Judah: "You are Gilead to Me, The head of Lebanon; Yet I surely will make you a wilderness, Cities which are not inhabited.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 22:7 ============ Jer 22:7 "For I will set apart destroyers against you, Each with his weapons; And they will cut down your choicest cedars And throw them on the fire. (nas) Jer 22:7 καὶ ἐπάξω ἐπὶ σὲ ἄνδρα ὀλεθρεύοντα καὶ τὸν πέλεκυν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐκκόψουσιν τὰς ἐκλεκτὰς κέδρους σου καὶ ἐμβαλοῦσιν εἰς τὸ πῦρ (lxx) Jer 22:7 Et sanctificabo super te, interficientem virum et arma ejus: et succident electas cedros tuas, et præcipitabunt in ignem.(vulgate) Jeremiah 22:7 And I will prepare destroyers against thee, euery one with his weapons, and they shall cut downe thy chiefe cedar trees, and cast them in the fire.(Geneva) Jer 22:7 Denn ich habe den Verderber über dich bestellt, einen jeglichen mit seinen Waffen; die sollen deine auserwählten Zedern umhauen und ins Feuer werfen.(dhs) Jer 22:7 I will prepare destroyers against you, Everyone with his weapons; They shall cut down your choice cedars And cast them into the fire.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 22:8 ============ Jer 22:8 "Many nations will pass by this city; and they will say to one another, 'Why has the Lord done thus to this great city?'(nas) Jer 22:8 καὶ διελεύσονται ἔθνη διὰ τῆς πόλεως ταύτης καὶ ἐροῦσιν ἕκαστος πρὸς τὸν πλησίον αὐτοῦ διὰ τί ἐποίησεν κύριος οὕτως τῇ πόλει τῇ μεγάλῃ ταύτῃ (lxx) Jer 22:8 Et pertransibunt gentes multæ per civitatem hanc, et dicet unusquisque proximo suo: Quare fecit Dominus sic civitati huic grandi?(vulgate) Jeremiah 22:8 And many nations shall passe by this citie, and they shall say euery man to his neighbour, Wherefore hath the Lorde done thus vnto this great citie?(Geneva) Jer 22:8 So werden viele Heiden vor dieser Stadt vorübergehen und untereinander sagen: Warum hat der HERR mit dieser großen Stadt also gehandelt?(dhs) Jer 22:8 And many nations will pass by this city; and everyone will say to his neighbor, 'Why has the Lord done so to this great city?'(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 22:9 ============ Jer 22:9 Then they will answer, 'Because they forsook the covenant of the Lord their God and bowed down to other gods and served them.'"(nas) Jer 22:9 καὶ ἐροῦσιν ἀνθ᾽ ὧν ἐγκατέλιπον τὴν διαθήκην κυρίου θεοῦ αὐτῶν καὶ προσεκύνησαν θεοῖς ἀλλοτρίοις καὶ ἐδούλευσαν αὐτοῖς (lxx) Jer 22:9 Et respondebunt: Eo quod dereliquerint pactum Domini Dei sui, et adoraverint deos alienos, et servierint eis.(vulgate) Jeremiah 22:9 Then shall they answere, Because they haue forsaken the couenant of the Lorde their God, & worshipped other gods, and serued them.(Geneva) Jer 22:9 Und man wird antworten: Darum daß sie den Bund des HERRN, ihres Gottes, verlassen und andere Götter angebetet und ihnen gedient haben.(dhs) Jer 22:9 Then they will answer, 'Because they have forsaken the covenant of the Lord their God, and worshiped other gods and served them.' "(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 22:10 ============ Jer 22:10 Do not weep for the dead or mourn for him, But weep continually for the one who goes away; For he will never return Or see his native land. (nas) Jer 22:10 μὴ κλαίετε τὸν τεθνηκότα μηδὲ θρηνεῖτε αὐτόν κλαύσατε κλαυθμῷ τὸν ἐκπορευόμενον ὅτι οὐκ ἐπιστρέψει ἔτι καὶ οὐ μὴ ἴδῃ τὴν γῆν πατρίδος αὐτοῦ (lxx) Jer 22:10 Nolite flere mortuum, neque lugeatis super eum fletu: plangite eum qui egreditur, quia non revertetur ultra, nec videbit terram nativitatis suæ.(vulgate) Jeremiah 22:10 Weepe not for the dead, & be not moued for them, but weepe for him that goeth out: for he shall returne no more, nor see his natiue countrey.(Geneva) Jer 22:10 Weinet nicht über die Toten und grämet euch nicht darum; weinet aber über den, der dahinzieht; denn er wird nimmer wiederkommen, daß er sein Vaterland sehen möchte.(dhs) Jer 22:10 Weep not for the dead, nor bemoan him; Weep bitterly for him who goes away, For he shall return no more, Nor see his native country.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 22:11 ============ Jer 22:11 For thus says the Lord in regard to Shallum the son of Josiah, king of Judah, who became king in the place of Josiah his father, who went forth from this place," He will never return there; (nas) Jer 22:11 διότι τάδε λέγει κύριος ἐπὶ Σελλημ υἱὸν Ιωσια τὸν βασιλεύοντα ἀντὶ Ιωσια τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ ὃς ἐξῆλθεν ἐκ τοῦ τόπου τούτου οὐκ ἀναστρέψει ἐκεῖ οὐκέτι (lxx) Jer 22:11 Quia hæc dicit Dominus ad Sellum, filium Josiæ, regem Juda, qui regnavit pro Josia patre suo, qui egressus est de loco isto: Non revertetur huc amplius,(vulgate) Jeremiah 22:11 For thus saith ye Lord, As touching Shallum the sonne of Iosiah King of Iudah, which reigned for Iosiah his father, which went out of this place, he shall not returne thither,(Geneva) Jer 22:11 Denn so spricht der HERR von Sallum, dem Sohn Josias, des Königs in Juda, welcher König ist anstatt seines Vaters Josia, der von dieser Stätte hinausgezogen ist: Er wird nicht wieder herkommen,(dhs) Jer 22:11 For thus says the Lord concerning Shallum the son of Josiah, king of Judah, who reigned instead of Josiah his father, who went from this place: "He shall not return here anymore,(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 22:12 ============ Jer 22:12 but in the place where they led him captive, there he will die and not see this land again. (nas) Jer 22:12 ἀλλ᾽ ἢ ἐν τῷ τόπῳ οὗ μετῴκισα αὐτόν ἐκεῖ ἀποθανεῖται καὶ τὴν γῆν ταύτην οὐκ ὄψεται ἔτι (lxx) Jer 22:12 sed in loco ad quem transtuli eum, ibi morietur, et terram istam non videbit amplius.(vulgate) Jeremiah 22:12 But he shall die in the place, whither they haue ledde him captiue, and shall see this lande no more.(Geneva) Jer 22:12 sondern muß sterben an dem Ort, dahin er gefangen geführt ist, und wird dies Land nicht mehr sehen.(dhs) Jer 22:12 but he shall die in the place where they have led him captive, and shall see this land no more.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 22:13 ============ Jer 22:13 "Woe to him who builds his house without righteousness And his upper rooms without justice, Who uses his neighbor's services without pay And does not give him his wages, (nas) Jer 22:13 ὦ ὁ οἰκοδομῶν οἰκίαν αὐτοῦ οὐ μετὰ δικαιοσύνης καὶ τὰ ὑπερῷα αὐτοῦ οὐκ ἐν κρίματι παρὰ τῷ πλησίον αὐτοῦ ἐργᾶται δωρεὰν καὶ τὸν μισθὸν αὐτοῦ οὐ μὴ ἀποδώσει αὐτῷ (lxx) Jer 22:13 Væ qui ædificat domum suam in injustitia, et cœnacula sua non in judicio: amicum suum opprimet frustra, et mercedem ejus non reddet ei:(vulgate) Jeremiah 22:13 Wo vnto him that buildeth his house by vnrighteousnesse, and his chambers without equitie: he vseth his neighbour without wages, and giueth him not for his worke.(Geneva) Jer 22:13 Weh dem, der sein Haus mit Sünden baut und seine Gemächer mit Unrecht, der seinen Nächsten umsonst arbeiten läßt und gibt ihm seinen Lohn nicht(dhs) Jer 22:13 "Woe to him who builds his house by unrighteousness And his chambers by injustice, Who uses his neighbor's service without wages And gives him nothing for his work,(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 22:14 ============ Jer 22:14 Who says, 'I will build myself a roomy house With spacious upper rooms, And cut out its windows, Paneling it with cedar and painting it bright red.'(nas) Jer 22:14 ᾠκοδόμησας σεαυτῷ οἶκον σύμμετρον ὑπερῷα ῥιπιστὰ διεσταλμένα θυρίσιν καὶ ἐξυλωμένα ἐν κέδρῳ καὶ κεχρισμένα ἐν μίλτῳ (lxx) Jer 22:14 qui dicit: Ædificabo mihi domum latam, et cœnacula spatiosa: qui aperit sibi fenestras et facit laquearia cedrina, pingitque sinopide.(vulgate) Jeremiah 22:14 He saith, I will build me a wide house and large chambers: so he will make him selfe large windowes, and feeling with cedar, and paint them with vermilion.(Geneva) Jer 22:14 und denkt: "Wohlan, ich will mir ein großes Haus bauen und weite Gemächer!" und läßt sich Fenster drein hauen und es mit Zedern täfeln und rot malen!(dhs) Jer 22:14 Who says, 'I will build myself a wide house with spacious chambers, And cut out windows for it, Paneling it with cedar And painting it with vermilion.'(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 22:15 ============ Jer 22:15 "Do you become a king because you are competing in cedar? Did not your father eat and drink And do justice and righteousness? Then it was well with him. (nas) Jer 22:15 μὴ βασιλεύσεις ὅτι σὺ παροξύνῃ ἐν Αχαζ τῷ πατρί σου οὐ φάγονται καὶ οὐ πίονται βέλτιον ἦν σε ποιεῖν κρίμα καὶ δικαιοσύνην καλήν (lxx) Jer 22:15 Numquid regnabis quoniam confers te cedro? pater tuus numquid non comedit et bibit, et fecit judicium et justitiam tunc cum bene erat ei?(vulgate) Jeremiah 22:15 Shalt thou reigne, because thou closest thy selfe in cedar? Declares the Lord. (nas) Jer 22:16 οὐκ ἔγνωσαν οὐκ ἔκριναν κρίσιν ταπεινῷ οὐδὲ κρίσιν πένητος οὐ τοῦτό ἐστιν τὸ μὴ γνῶναί σε ἐμέ λέγει κύριος (lxx) Jer 22:16 Judicavit causam pauperis et egeni in bonum suum: numquid non ideo quia cognovit me? dicit Dominus.(vulgate) Jeremiah 22:16 When he iudged the cause of the afflicted and the poore, he prospered: was not this because he knewe me, saith the Lorde?(Geneva) Jer 22:16 Er half dem Elenden und Armen zum Recht, und es ging ihm wohl. Was not this knowing Me?" says the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 22:17 ============ Jer 22:17 "But your eyes and your heart Are intent only upon your own dishonest gain, And on shedding innocent blood And on practicing oppression and extortion."(nas) Jer 22:17 ἰδοὺ οὔκ εἰσιν οἱ ὀφθαλμοί σου οὐδὲ ἡ καρδία σου καλή ἀλλ᾽ εἰς τὴν πλεονεξίαν σου καὶ εἰς τὸ αἷμα τὸ ἀθῷον τοῦ ἐκχέειν αὐτὸ καὶ εἰς ἀδίκημα καὶ εἰς φόνον τοῦ ποιεῖν (lxx) Jer 22:17 Tui vero oculi et cor ad avaritiam, et ad sanguinem innocentem fundendum, et ad calumniam, et ad cursum mali operis.(vulgate) Jeremiah 22:17 But thine eyes and thine heart are but only for thy couetousnesse, and for to sheade innocent blood, and for oppression, and for destruction, euen to doe this.(Geneva) Jer 22:17 Aber deine Augen und dein Herz stehen nicht also, sondern auf deinen Geiz, auf unschuldig Blut zu vergießen, zu freveln und unterzustoßen.(dhs) Jer 22:17 "Yet your eyes and your heart are for nothing but your covetousness, For shedding innocent blood, And practicing oppression and violence."(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 22:18 ============ Jer 22:18 Therefore thus says the Lord in regard to Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah," They will not lament for him: 'Alas, my brother! 'or, 'Alas, sister! 'They will not lament for him: 'Alas for the master!
