Today's Date: ======= Jeremiah 21:1 ============ Jer 21:1 The word which came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, when king Zedekiah sent unto him Pashur the son of Melchiah, and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest, saying,(KJV) Jeremiah 21:1 The worde which came vnto Ieremiah from the Lord, when king Zedekiah sent vnto him Pashur, the sonne of Malchiah, and Zephaniah, the sonne of Maaseiah the Priest, saying,(Geneva) Jérémie 21:1 La parole qui fut adressée à Jérémie de la part de l'Eternel, lorsque le roi Sédécias lui envoya Paschhur, fils de Malkija, et Sophonie, fils de Maaséja, le sacrificateur, pour lui dire:(FR) 1 ׃21 הַדָּבָ֛ר אֲשֶׁר־הָיָ֥ה אֶֽל־יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ מֵאֵ֣ת יְהוָ֑ה בִּשְׁלֹ֨חַ אֵלָ֜יו הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ צִדְקִיָּ֗הוּ אֶת־פַּשְׁחוּר֙ בֶּן־מַלְכִּיָּ֔ה וְאֶת־צְפַנְיָ֧ה בֶן־מַעֲשֵׂיָ֛ה הַכֹּהֵ֖ן לֵאמֹֽר׃ Jeremiah Jer 21:1 The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord when King Zedekiah sent to him Pashhur the son of Malchijah, and Zephaniah the priest, the son of Maaseiah, saying, (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 21:2 ============ Jer 21:2 Enquire, I pray thee, of the LORD for us; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon maketh war against us; if so be that the LORD will deal with us according to all his wondrous works, that he may go up from us.(KJV) Jeremiah 21:2 Inquire, I pray thee, of the Lorde for vs, (for Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel maketh warre against vs) if so be that the Lord will deale with vs according to all his wonderous workes, that he may returne vp from vs.(Geneva) Jérémie 21:2 Consulte pour nous l'Eternel; car Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, nous fait la guerre; peut-être l'Eternel fera-t-il en notre faveur quelqu'un de ses miracles, afin qu'il s'éloigne de nous.(FR) 2 ׃21 דְּרָשׁ־נָ֤א בַעֲדֵ֙נוּ֙ אֶת־יְהוָ֔ה כִּ֛י נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֥ר מֶֽלֶךְ־בָּבֶ֖ל נִלְחָ֣ם עָלֵ֑ינוּ אוּלַי֩ יַעֲשֶׂ֨ה יְהוָ֤ה אוֹתָ֙נוּ֙ כְּכָל־נִפְלְאֹתָ֔יו וְיַעֲלֶ֖ה מֵעָלֵֽינוּ׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 21:2 "Please inquire of the Lord on our behalf, for Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon is warring against us; perhaps the Lord will deal with us according to all His wonderful acts, so that the enemy will withdraw from us."(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 21:3 ============ Jer 21:3 Then said Jeremiah unto them, Thus shall ye say to Zedekiah:(KJV) Jeremiah 21:3 Then said Ieremiah, Thus shall you say to Zedekiah,(Geneva) Jérémie 21:3 Jérémie leur répondit: Vous direz à Sédécias:(FR) 3 ׃21 וַיֹּ֥אמֶר יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ אֲלֵיהֶ֑ם כֹּ֥ה תֹאמְרֻ֖ן אֶל־צִדְקִיָּֽהוּ׃ Jeremiah Jer 21:3 Then Jeremiah said to them, "You shall say to Zedekiah as follows: (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 21:4 ============ Jer 21:4 Thus saith the LORD God of Israel; Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands, wherewith ye fight against the king of Babylon, and against the Chaldeans, which besiege you without the walls, and I will assemble them into the midst of this city.(KJV) Jeremiah 21:4 Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Behold, I will turne backe the weapons of warre that are in your hands, wherewith ye fight against the King of Babel, and against the Caldeans, which besiege you without the walles, and I will assemble them into the middes of this citie.(Geneva) Jérémie 21:4 Ainsi parle l'Eternel, le Dieu d'Israël: Voici, je vais détourner les armes de guerre qui sont dans vos mains, et avec lesquelles vous combattez en dehors des murailles le roi de Babylone et les Chaldéens qui vous assiègent, et je les rassemblerai au milieu de cette ville.(FR) 4 ׃21 כֹּֽה־אָמַ֨ר יְהוָ֜ה אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל הִנְנִ֣י מֵסֵב֮ אֶת־כְּלֵ֣י הַמִּלְחָמָה֮ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בְּיֶדְכֶם֒ אֲשֶׁ֨ר אַתֶּ֜ם נִלְחָמִ֣ים בָּ֗ם אֶת־מֶ֤לֶךְ בָּבֶל֙ וְאֶת־הַכַּשְׂדִּ֔ים הַצָּרִ֣ים עֲלֵיכֶ֔ם מִח֖וּץ לַֽחוֹמָ֑ה וְאָסַפְתִּ֣י אוֹתָ֔ם אֶל־תּ֖וֹךְ הָעִ֥יר הַזֹּֽאת׃ Jeremiah Jer 21:4 'Thus says the Lord God of Israel," Behold, I am about to turn back the weapons of war which are in your hands, with which you are warring against the king of Babylon and the Chaldeans who are besieging you outside the wall; and I will gather them into the center of this city. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 21:5 ============ Jer 21:5 And I myself will fight against you with an outstretched hand and with a strong arm, even in anger, and in fury, and in great wrath.(KJV) Jeremiah 21:5 And I my selfe will fight against you with an outstretched hand, & with a mighty arme, eue in anger and in wrath, and in great indignation.(Geneva) Jérémie 21:5 Puis je combattrai contre vous, la main étendue et le bras fort, avec colère, avec fureur, avec une grande irritation.(FR) 5 ׃21 וְנִלְחַמְתִּ֤י אֲנִי֙ אִתְּכֶ֔ם בְּיָ֥ד נְטוּיָ֖ה וּבִזְר֣וֹעַ חֲזָקָ֑ה וּבְאַ֥ף וּבְחֵמָ֖ה וּבְקֶ֥צֶף גָּדֽוֹל׃ Jeremiah Jer 21:5 I Myself will war against you with an outstretched hand and a mighty arm, even in anger and wrath and great indignation. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 21:6 ============ Jer 21:6 And I will smite the inhabitants of this city, both man and beast: they shall die of a great pestilence.(KJV) Jeremiah 21:6 And I will smite the inhabitants of this citie, both man, and beast: they shall die of a great pestilence.(Geneva) Jérémie 21:6 Je frapperai les habitants de cette ville, les hommes et les bêtes; ils mourront d'une peste affreuse.(FR) 6 ׃21 וְהִכֵּיתִ֗י אֶת־יֽוֹשְׁבֵי֙ הָעִ֣יר הַזֹּ֔את וְאֶת־הָאָדָ֖ם וְאֶת־הַבְּהֵמָ֑ה בְּדֶ֥בֶר גָּד֖וֹל יָמֻֽתוּ׃ Jeremiah Jer 21:6 I will also strike down the inhabitants of this city, both man and beast; they will die of a great pestilence. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 21:7 ============ Jer 21:7 And afterward, saith the LORD, I will deliver Zedekiah king of Judah, and his servants, and the people, and such as are left in this city from the pestilence, from the sword, and from the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those that seek their life: and he shall smite them with the edge of the sword; he shall not spare them, neither have pity, nor have mercy.(KJV) Jeremiah 21:7 And after this, sayeth the Lorde, I will deliuer Zedekiah the King of Iudah, and his seruants, and the people, and such as are left in this citie, from the pestilence, from the sworde and from the famine into the hande of Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel, and into the hande of their enemies, and into the hande of those that seeke their liues, and he shall smite them with the edge of the sworde: he shall not spare them, neither haue pitie nor compassion.(Geneva) Jérémie 21:7 Après cela, dit l'Eternel, je livrerai Sédécias, roi de Juda, ses serviteurs, le peuple, et ceux qui dans cette ville échapperont à la peste, à l'épée et à la famine, je les livrerai entre les mains de Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, entre les mains de leurs ennemis, entre les mains de ceux qui en veulent à leur vie; et Nebucadnetsar les frappera du tranchant de l'épée, il ne les épargnera pas, il n'aura point de pitié, point de compassion.(FR) 7 ׃21 וְאַחֲרֵי־כֵ֣ן נְאֻם־יְהוָ֡ה אֶתֵּ֣ן אֶת־צִדְקִיָּ֣הוּ מֶֽלֶךְ־יְהוּדָ֣ה וְאֶת־עֲבָדָ֣יו ׀ וְאֶת־הָעָ֡ם וְאֶת־הַנִּשְׁאָרִים֩ בָּעִ֨יר הַזֹּ֜את מִן־הַדֶּ֣בֶר ׀ מִן־הַחֶ֣רֶב וּמִן־הָרָעָ֗ב בְּיַד֙ נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֣ר מֶֽלֶךְ־בָּבֶ֔ל וּבְיַד֙ אֹֽיְבֵיהֶ֔ם וּבְיַ֖ד מְבַקְשֵׁ֣י נַפְשָׁ֑ם וְהִכָּ֣ם לְפִי־חֶ֔רֶב לֹֽא־יָח֣וּס עֲלֵיהֶ֔ם וְלֹ֥א יַחְמֹ֖ל וְלֹ֥א יְרַחֵֽם׃ Jeremiah Jer 21:7 Then afterwards," declares the Lord, "I will give over Zedekiah king of Judah and his servants and the people, even those who survive in this city from the pestilence, the sword and the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of their foes and into the hand of those who seek their lives; and he will strike them down with the edge of the sword. He will not spare them nor have pity nor compassion."'(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 21:8 ============ Jer 21:8 And unto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death.(KJV) Jeremiah 21:8 And vnto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the Lorde, Beholde, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death.(Geneva) Jérémie 21:8 Tu diras à ce peuple: Ainsi parle l'Eternel: Voici, je mets devant vous le chemin de la vie et le chemin de la mort.(FR) 8 ׃21 וְאֶל־הָעָ֤ם הַזֶּה֙ תֹּאמַ֔ר כֹּ֖ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֑ה הִנְנִ֤י נֹתֵן֙ לִפְנֵיכֶ֔ם אֶת־דֶּ֥רֶךְ הַחַיִּ֖ים וְאֶת־דֶּ֥רֶךְ הַמָּֽוֶת׃ Jeremiah Jer 21:8 "You shall also say to this people, 'Thus says the Lord, "Behold, I set before you the way of life and the way of death. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 21:9 ============ Jer 21:9 He that abideth in this city shall die by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goeth out, and falleth to the Chaldeans that besiege you, he shall live, and his life shall be unto him for a prey.(KJV) Jeremiah 21:9 He that abideth in this citie, shall dye by the sword and by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goeth out, and falleth to the Caldeans, that besiege you, he shall liue, and his life shalbe vnto him for a pray.(Geneva) Jérémie 21:9 Celui qui restera dans cette ville mourra par l'épée, par la famine ou par la peste; mais celui qui sortira pour se rendre aux Chaldéens qui vous assiègent aura la vie sauve, et sa vie sera son butin.(FR) 9 ׃21 הַיֹּשֵׁב֙ בָּעִ֣יר הַזֹּ֔את יָמ֕וּת בַּחֶ֖רֶב וּבָרָעָ֣ב וּבַדָּ֑בֶר וְהַיּוֹצֵא֩ וְנָפַ֨ל עַל־הַכַּשְׂדִּ֜ים הַצָּרִ֤ים עֲלֵיכֶם֙ *יחיה **וְחָיָ֔ה וְהָֽיְתָה־לּ֥וֹ נַפְשׁ֖וֹ לְשָׁלָֽל׃ Jeremiah Jer 21:9 He who dwells in this city will die by the sword and by famine and by pestilence; but he who goes out and falls away to the Chaldeans who are besieging you will live, and he will have his own life as booty. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 21:10 ============ Jer 21:10 For I have set my face against this city for evil, and not for good, saith the LORD: it shall be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire.(KJV) Jeremiah 21:10 For I haue set my face against this citie, for euill and not for good, saith the Lorde: it shalbe giuen into the hande of the King of Babel, and he shall burne it with fire.(Geneva) Jérémie 21:10 Car je dirige mes regards contre cette ville pour faire du mal et non du bien, dit l'Eternel; elle sera livrée entre les mains du roi de Babylone, qui la brûlera par le feu.(FR) 10 ׃21 כִּ֣י שַׂ֣מְתִּי פָ֠נַי בָּעִ֨יר הַזֹּ֧את לְרָעָ֛ה וְלֹ֥א לְטוֹבָ֖ה נְאֻם־יְהוָ֑ה בְּיַד־מֶ֤לֶךְ בָּבֶל֙ תִּנָּתֵ֔ן וּשְׂרָפָ֖הּ בָּאֵֽשׁ׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 21:10 For I have set My face against this city for harm and not for good," declares the Lord." It will be given into the hand of the king of Babylon and he will burn it with fire."'(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 21:11 ============ Jer 21:11 And touching the house of the king of Judah, say, Hear ye the word of the LORD;(KJV) Jeremiah 21:11 And say vnto the house of the King of Iudah, Heare ye the worde of the Lorde.(Geneva) Jérémie 21:11 Et tu diras à la maison du roi de Juda: Ecoutez la parole de l'Eternel!(FR) 11 ׃21 וּלְבֵית֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֔ה שִׁמְע֖וּ דְּבַר־יְהוָֽה׃ Jeremiah Jer 21:11 "Then say to the household of the king of Judah, 'Hear the word of the Lord, (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 21:12 ============ Jer 21:12 O house of David, thus saith the LORD; Execute judgment in the morning, and deliver him that is spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my fury go out like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings.(KJV) Jeremiah 21:12 O house of Dauid, thus saith the Lorde, Execute iudgement in the morning, and deliuer the oppressed out of the hande of the oppressor, lest my wrath go out like fire and burne, that none can quench it, because of the wickednes of your workes.(Geneva) Jérémie 21:12 Maison de David! Ainsi parle l'Eternel: Rendez la justice dès le matin, Et délivrez l'opprimé des mains de l'oppresseur, De peur que ma colère n'éclate comme un feu, Et ne s'enflamme, sans qu'on puisse l'éteindre, A cause de la méchanceté de vos actions.(FR) 12 ׃21 בֵּ֣ית דָּוִ֗ד כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה דִּ֤ינוּ לַבֹּ֙קֶר֙ מִשְׁפָּ֔ט וְהַצִּ֥ילוּ גָז֖וּל מִיַּ֣ד עוֹשֵׁ֑ק פֶּן־תֵּצֵ֨א כָאֵ֜שׁ חֲמָתִ֗י וּבָעֲרָה֙ וְאֵ֣ין מְכַבֶּ֔ה מִפְּנֵ֖י רֹ֥עַ *מעלליהם **מַעַלְלֵיכֶֽם׃ Jeremiah Jer 21:12 O house of David, thus says the Lord:" Administer justice every morning; And deliver the person who has been robbed from the power of his oppressor, That My wrath may not go forth like fire And burn with none to extinguish it, Because of the evil of their deeds. Or who will enter into our habitations?'(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 21:14 ============ Jer 21:14 But I will punish you according to the fruit of your doings, saith the LORD: and I will kindle a fire in the forest thereof, and it shall devour all things round about it.(kjv) Jeremiah 21:14 But I wil visite you according to the fruite of your workes, saith the Lord, and I will kindle a fire in the forest thereof, and it shall deuoure rounde about it.(Geneva) Jérémie 21:14 Je vous châtierai selon le fruit de vos oeuvres, dit l'Eternel; Je mettrai le feu à votre forêt, Et il en dévorera tous les alentours.(FR) 14 ׃21 וּפָקַדְתִּ֧י עֲלֵיכֶ֛ם כִּפְרִ֥י מַעַלְלֵיכֶ֖ם נְאֻם־יְהוָ֑ה וְהִצַּ֤תִּי אֵשׁ֙ בְּיַעְרָ֔הּ וְאָכְלָ֖ה כָּל־סְבִיבֶֽיהָ׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 21:14 "But I will punish you according to the results of your deeds," declares the Lord, "And I will kindle a fire in its forest That it may devour all its environs."'"
