(nasb) ======= Acts 1:3 ============ Act 1:3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:(KJV) Acts 1:3 To whome also he presented himselfe aliue after that he had suffered, by many infallible tokens, being seene of them by the space of fourtie daies, and speaking of those thinges which appertaine to the kingdome of God.(Geneva) Actes 1:3 Après qu'il eut souffert, il leur apparut vivant, et leur en donna plusieurs preuves, se montrant à eux pendant quarante jours, et parlant des choses qui concernent le royaume de Dieu.(FR) וַאֲשֶׁר אַחֲרֵי עֻנּוֹתוֹ הִתְיַצֵּב עֲלֵיהֶם חָי בְּאֹתוֹת רַבִּים בְּהִגָּלוֹת נִגְלוֹת אֲלֵיהֶם אַרְבָּעִים יוֹם וַיְדַבֵּר עַל־מַלְכוּת הָאֱלֹהִים׃ ג Acts Act 1:3 To these He also presented Himself alive after His suffering, by many convincing proofs, appearing to them over a period of forty days and speaking of the things concerning the kingdom of God. (nasb) ======= Acts 1:11 ============ Act 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.(KJV) Acts 1:11 Which also sayde, Yee men of Galile, why stande yee gasing into heauen? This Iesus which is taken vp from you into heauen, shal so come, as yee haue seene him goe into heauen.(Geneva) Actes 1:11 et dirent: Hommes Galiléens, pourquoi vous arrêtez-vous à regarder au ciel? Ce Jésus, qui a été enlevé au ciel du milieu de vous, viendra de la même manière que vous l'avez vu allant au ciel.(FR) אַנְשֵׁי הַגָּלִיל לָמָּה־זֶּה אַתֶּם עֹמְדִים וּמַבִּיטִים הַשָּׁמָיְמָה יֵשׁוּעַ זֶה אֲשֶׁר לֻקַּח מֵעֲלֵיכֶם וַיַּעַל לַמָּרוֹם כֵּן יָבֹא כַּאֲשֶׁר רְאִיתֶם אֹתוֹ עֹלֶה לַמָּרוֹם׃ יא Acts Act 1:11 They also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven."(nasb) ======= Acts 1:12 ============ Act 1:12 Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey.(KJV) Acts 1:12 Then returned they vnto Hierusalem from the mount that is called the mount of Oliues, which is neere to Hierusalem, being from it a Sabbath daies iourney.(Geneva) Actes 1:12 Alors ils retournèrent à Jérusalem, de la montagne appelée des oliviers, qui est près de Jérusalem, à la distance d'un chemin de sabbat.(FR) וַיִּפְנוּ וַיֵּלְכוּ יְרוּשָׁלַיְמָה מִן־הָהָר הַנִּקְרָא הַר־הַזֵּיתִים הַקָּרוֹב לִירוּשָׁלַיִם כְּדֶרֶךְ תְּחוּם שַׁבָּת׃ יב Acts Act 1:12 Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day's journey away. (nasb) ======= Acts 1:13 ============ Act 1:13 And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.(KJV) Acts 1:13 And when they were come in, they went vp into an vpper chamber, where abode both Peter and Iames, and Iohn, and Andrewe, Philip, and Thomas, Bartlemew, and Matthewe, Iames the sonne of Alpheus, and Simon Zelotes, and Iudas Iames brother.(Geneva) Actes 1:13 Quand ils furent arrivés, ils montèrent dans la chambre haute où ils se tenaient d'ordinaire; c'étaient Pierre, Jean, Jacques, André, Philippe, Thomas, Barthélemy, Matthieu, Jacques, fils d'Alphée, Simon le Zélote, et Jude, fils de Jacques.(FR) וַיָּבֹאוּ וַיַּעֲלוּ אֶל־הָעֲלִיָּה אֲשֶׁר גָּרוּ שָׁם פֶּטְרוֹס וְיוֹחָנָן וְיַעֲקֹב וְאַנְדְּרַי פִּילִפּוֹס וְתוֹמָא בַּר־תַּלְמַי וּמַתִּתְיָהוּ יַעֲקֹב בֶּן־חַלְפַי וְשִׁמְעוֹן הַקַּנָּאִי וִיהוּדָה בֶּן־יַעֲקֹב׃ יג Acts Act 1:13 When they had entered the city, they went up to the upper room where they were staying; that is, Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon the Zealot, and Judas the son of James. Et: Qu'un autre prenne sa charge!(FR) כִּי־כָתוּב בְּסֵפֶר הַתְּהִלִּים תְּהִי־טִירָתוֹ נְשַׁמָּה וְאַל־יְהִי בָהּ ישֵׁב וְעוֹד ופְקֻדָּתוֹ יִקַּח אַחֵר׃ כ Acts Act 1:20 "For it is written in the book of Psalms, 'LET HIS HOMESTEAD BE MADE DESOLATE, AND LET NO ONE DWELL IN IT'; and, 'LET ANOTHER MAN TAKE HIS OFFICE.'(nasb) ======= Acts 1:21 ============ Act 1:21 Wherefore of these men which have companied with us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us,(KJV) Acts 1:21 Wherefore of these men which haue companied with vs, all the time that the Lorde Iesus was conuersant among vs,(Geneva) Actes 1:21 Il faut donc que, parmi ceux qui nous ont accompagnés tout le temps que le Seigneur Jésus a vécu avec nous,(FR) וְעַל־כֵּן נָכוֹן לָנוּ כִּי מִן־הָאֲנָשִׁים הָאֵלֶּה אֲשֶׁר הָלְכוּ אִתָּנוּ כָּל־יְמֵי הֱיוֹת יֵשׁוּעַ אֲדֹנֵינוּ יוֹצֵא וָבָא לְפָנֵינוּ׃ כא Acts Act 1:21 Therefore it is necessary that of the men who have accompanied us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us--(nasb) ======= Acts 1:22 ============ Act 1:22 Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.(KJV) Acts 1:22 Beginning from the baptisme of Iohn vnto the day that hee was taken vp from vs, must one of them bee made a witnesse with vs of his resurrection.(Geneva) Actes 1:22 depuis le baptême de Jean jusqu'au jour où il a été enlevé du milieu de nous, il y en ait un qui nous soit associé comme témoin de sa résurrection.(FR) הָחֵל מִטְּבִילַת יוֹחָנָן עַד־הַיּוֹם אֲשֶׁר לֻקַּח מִמֶּנּוּ אֲשֶׁר אֶחָד מֵהֶם יִהְיֶה עִמָּנוּ לְעֵד עַל־תְּקוּמָתוֹ׃ כב Acts Act 1:22 beginning with the baptism of John until the day that He was taken up from us--one of these must become a witness with us of His resurrection."(nasb) ======= Acts 1:23 ============ Act 1:23 And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.(KJV) Acts 1:23 And they presented two, Ioseph called Barsabas, whose surname was Iustus, & Matthias.(Geneva) Actes 1:23 Ils en présentèrent deux: Joseph appelé Barsabbas, surnommé Justus, et Matthias.(FR) וַיַּעֲמִידוּ שְׁנָיִם אֶת־יוֹסֵף הַנִּקְרָא בַּר־שַׁבָּא וּמְכֻנָּה יוּסְטוֹס וְאֶת־מַתִּתְיָהוּ׃ כג Acts Act 1:23 So they put forward two men, Joseph called Barsabbas (who was also called Justus), and Matthias. (nasb) ======= Acts 1:24 ============ Act 1:24 And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,(KJV) Acts 1:24 And they praied, saying, Thou Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shewe whether of these two thou hast chosen,(Geneva) Actes 1:24 Puis ils firent cette prière: Seigneur, toi qui connais les coeurs de tous, désigne lequel de ces deux tu as choisi,(FR) וַיִּתְפַּלְּלוּ וַיֹּאמְרוּ אַתָּה יְהוָֹה יֹדֵעַ כָּל־לְבָבוֹת הַרְאֵנוּ־נָא אֶת־הָאֶחָד מִן־הַשְּׁנַיִם אֲשֶׁר אַתָּה בָּחַרְתָּ בּוֹ׃ כד Acts Act 1:24 And they prayed and said, "You, Lord, who know the hearts of all men, show which one of these two You have chosen(nasb) ======= Acts 1:25 ============ Act 1:25 That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.(KJV) Acts 1:25 That he may take the roume of this ministration and Apostleship, from which Iudas hath gone astray, to goe to his owne place.(Geneva) Actes 1:25 afin qu'il ait part à ce ministère et à cet apostolat, que Judas a abandonné pour aller en son lieu.(FR) כִּי יִקַּח גּוֹרַל הָעֲבוֹדָה הַזֹּאת וּמַלְאֲכוּת־יָהּ אֲשֶׁר יְהוּדָה שָׂטָה מֵעָלֶיהָ וַיֵּלֶךְ לִמְקוֹמוֹ שֶׁלּוֹ׃ כה Acts Act 1:25 to occupy this ministry and apostleship from which Judas turned aside to go to his own place."(nasb) ======= Acts 1:26 ============ Act 1:26 And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias; and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.(kjv) Acts 1:26 Then they gaue foorth their lottes: and the lotte fell on Matthias, and hee was by a common consent counted with the eleuen Apostles.(Geneva) Actes 1:26 Ils tirèrent au sort, et le sort tomba sur Matthias, qui fut associé aux onze apôtres.(FR) וַיַּפִּילוּ עֲלֵיהֶם גּוֹרָלוֹת וַיִּפֹּל הַגּוֹרָל עַל־מַתִּתְיָהוּ וַיִּמָּנֶה עִם־אַחַד עָשָׂר הַשְּׁלִיחִים׃ כו Acts Act 1:26 And they drew lots for them, and the lot fell to Matthias; and he was added to the eleven apostles.
