Who is he who will shake hands with me?(nkjv) ======= Job 17:4 ============ Job 17:4 "For You have kept their heart from understanding, Therefore You will not exalt them.(nas) Job 17:4 ὅτι καρδίαν αὐτῶν ἔκρυψας ἀπὸ φρονήσεως διὰ τοῦτο οὐ μὴ ὑψώσῃς αὐτούς (lxx) Job 17:4 Cor eorum longe fecisti a disciplina: propterea non exaltabuntur.(vulgate) Job 17:4 For thou hast hid their heart from vnderstanding: therefore shalt thou not set them vp on hie.(Geneva) Job 17:4 Denn du hast ihrem Herzen den Verstand verborgen; aber seiner Kinder Augen werden verschmachten.(dhs) Job 17:5 He who speaks flattery to his friends, Even the eyes of his children will fail.(nkjv) ======= Job 17:6 ============ Job 17:6 "But He has made me a byword of the people, And I am one at whom men spit.(nas) Job 17:6 ἔθου δέ με θρύλημα ἐν ἔθνεσιν γέλως δὲ αὐτοῖς ἀπέβην (lxx) Job 17:6 Posuit me quasi in proverbium vulgi, et exemplum sum coram eis.(vulgate) Job 17:6 Hee hath also made mee a byword of the people, and I am as a Tabret before them.(Geneva) Job 17:6 Er hat mich zum Sprichwort unter den Leuten gemacht, und ich muß mir ins Angesicht speien lassen.(dhs) Job 17:6 "But He has made me a byword of the people, And I have become one in whose face men spit.(nkjv) ======= Job 17:7 ============ Job 17:7 "My eye has also grown dim because of grief, And all my members are as a shadow.(nas) Job 17:7 πεπώρωνται γὰρ ἀπὸ ὀργῆς οἱ ὀφθαλμοί μου πεπολιόρκημαι μεγάλως ὑπὸ πάντων (lxx) Job 17:7 Caligavit ab indignatione oculus meus, et membra mea quasi in nihilum redacta sunt.(vulgate) Job 17:7 Mine eye therefore is dimme for griefe, and all my strength is like a shadowe.(Geneva) Job 17:7 Mein Auge ist dunkel geworden vor Trauern, und alle meine Glieder sind wie ein Schatten.(dhs) Job 17:7 My eye has also grown dim because of sorrow, And all my members are like shadows.(nkjv) ======= Job 17:8 ============ Job 17:8 "The upright will be appalled at this, And the innocent will stir up himself against the godless.(nas) Job 17:8 θαῦμα ἔσχεν ἀληθινοὺς ἐπὶ τούτῳ δίκαιος δὲ ἐπὶ παρανόμῳ ἐπανασταίη (lxx) Job 17:8 Stupebunt justi super hoc, et innocens contra hypocritam suscitabitur.(vulgate) Job 17:8 The righteous shalbe astonied at this, and the innocent shalbe moued against ye hypocrite.(Geneva) Job 17:8 Darüber werden die Gerechten sich entsetzen, und die Unschuldigen werden sich entrüsten gegen die Heuchler.(dhs) Job 17:8 Upright men are astonished at this, And the innocent stirs himself up against the hypocrite.(nkjv) ======= Job 17:9 ============ Job 17:9 "Nevertheless the righteous will hold to his way, And he who has clean hands will grow stronger and stronger.(nas) Job 17:9 σχοίη δὲ πιστὸς τὴν ἑαυτοῦ ὁδόν καθαρὸς δὲ χεῖρας ἀναλάβοι θάρσος (lxx) Job 17:9 Et tenebit justus viam suam, et mundis manibus addet fortitudinem.(vulgate) Job 17:9 But the righteous wil holde his way, & he whose hands are pure, shall increase his strength.(Geneva) Job 17:9 Aber der Gerechte wird seinen Weg behalten; (nas) Job 17:16 ἦ μετ᾽ ἐμοῦ εἰς ᾅδην καταβήσονται ἢ ὁμοθυμαδὸν ἐπὶ χώματος καταβησόμεθα (lxx) Job 17:16 In profundissimum infernum descendent omnia mea: putasne saltem ibi erit requies mihi?](vulgate) Job 17:16 They shal goe downe into the bottome of the pit: surely it shall lye together in the dust.(Geneva) Job 17:16 Hinunter zu den Toten wird es fahren und wird mit mir in dem Staub liegen.(dhs) Job 17:16 Will they go down to the gates of Sheol?
