Tu es un prince de Dieu au milieu de nous; enterre ton mort dans celui de nos sépulcres que tu choisiras; aucun de nous ne te refusera son sépulcre pour enterrer ton mort.(FR) 6 ׃23 שְׁמָעֵ֣נוּ ׀ אֲדֹנִ֗י נְשִׂ֨יא אֱלֹהִ֤ים אַתָּה֙ בְּתוֹכֵ֔נוּ בְּמִבְחַ֣ר קְבָרֵ֔ינוּ קְבֹ֖ר אֶת־מֵתֶ֑ךָ אִ֣ישׁ מִמֶּ֔נּוּ אֶת־קִבְר֛וֹ לֹֽא־יִכְלֶ֥ה מִמְּךָ֖ מִקְּבֹ֥ר מֵתֶֽךָ׃ Genesis Gen 23:6 "Hear us, my lord, you are a mighty prince among us; bury your dead in the choicest of our graves; none of us will refuse you his grave for burying your dead."(nasb) ======= Genesis 23:7 ============ Gen 23:7 And Abraham stood up, and bowed himself to the people of the land, even to the children of Heth.(KJV) Genesis 23:7 Then Abraham stoode vp, and bowed him selfe before the people of the land of the Hittites.(Geneva) Genèse 23:7 Abraham se leva, et se prosterna devant le peuple du pays, devant les fils de Heth.(FR) 7 ׃23 וַיָּ֧קָם אַבְרָהָ֛ם וַיִּשְׁתַּ֥חוּ לְעַם־הָאָ֖רֶץ לִבְנֵי־חֵֽת׃ Genesis Gen 23:7 So Abraham rose and bowed to the people of the land, the sons of Heth.(nasb) ======= Genesis 23:8 ============ Gen 23:8 And he communed with them, saying, If it be your mind that I should bury my dead out of my sight; hear me, and intreat for me to Ephron the son of Zohar,(KJV) Genesis 23:8 And he communed with them, saying, If it be your minde, that I shall bury my dead out of my sight, heare me, and intreate for me to Ephron the sonne of Zohar,(Geneva) Genèse 23:8 Et il leur parla ainsi: Si vous permettez que j'enterre mon mort et que je l'ôte de devant mes yeux, écoutez-moi, et priez pour moi Ephron, fils de Tsochar,(FR) 8 ׃23 וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר אִתָּ֖ם לֵאמֹ֑ר אִם־יֵ֣שׁ אֶֽת־נַפְשְׁכֶ֗ם לִקְבֹּ֤ר אֶת־מֵתִי֙ מִלְּפָנַ֔י שְׁמָע֕וּנִי וּפִגְעוּ־לִ֖י בְּעֶפְר֥וֹן בֶּן־צֹֽחַר׃ Genesis Gen 23:8 And he spoke with them, saying, "If it is your wish for me to bury my dead out of my sight, hear me, and approach Ephron the son of Zohar for me,(nasb) ======= Genesis 23:9 ============ Gen 23:9 That he may give me the cave of Machpelah, which he hath, which is in the end of his field; for as much money as it is worth he shall give it me for a possession of a buryingplace amongst you.(KJV) Genesis 23:9 That he would giue me ye caue of Machpelah, which he hath in the ende of his field: that he would giue it me for as much money as it is worth, for a possession to bury in among you.(Geneva) Genèse 23:9 de me céder la caverne de Macpéla, qui lui appartient, à l'extrémité de son champ, de me la céder contre sa valeur en argent, afin qu'elle me serve de possession sépulcrale au milieu de vous.(FR) 9 ׃23 וְיִתֶּן־לִ֗י אֶת־מְעָרַ֤ת הַמַּכְפֵּלָה֙ אֲשֶׁר־ל֔וֹ אֲשֶׁ֖ר בִּקְצֵ֣ה שָׂדֵ֑הוּ בְּכֶ֨סֶף מָלֵ֜א יִתְּנֶ֥נָּה לִ֛י בְּתוֹכְכֶ֖ם לַאֲחֻזַּת־קָֽבֶר׃ Genesis Gen 23:9 that he may give me the cave of Machpelah which he owns, which is at the end of his field; for the full price let him give it to me in your presence for a burial site."(nasb) ======= Genesis 23:10 ============ Gen 23:10 And Ephron dwelt among the children of Heth: and Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham in the audience of the children of Heth, even of all that went in at the gate of his city, saying,(KJV) Genesis 23:10 (For Ephron dwelt among the Hittites) Then Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham in the audience of all the Hittites that went in at the gates of his citie, saying,(Geneva) Genèse 23:10 Ephron était assis parmi les fils de Heth. Et Ephron, le Héthien, répondit à Abraham, en présence des fils de Heth et de tous ceux qui entraient par la porte de sa ville:(FR) 10 ׃23 וְעֶפְר֥וֹן יֹשֵׁ֖ב בְּת֣וֹךְ בְּנֵי־חֵ֑ת וַיַּעַן֩ עֶפְר֨וֹן הַחִתִּ֤י אֶת־אַבְרָהָם֙ בְּאָזְנֵ֣י בְנֵי־חֵ֔ת לְכֹ֛ל בָּאֵ֥י שַֽׁעַר־עִיר֖וֹ לֵאמֹֽר׃ Genesis Gen 23:10 Now Ephron was sitting among the sons of Heth; and Ephron the Hittite answered Abraham in the hearing of the sons of Heth; even of all who went in at the gate of his city, saying,(nasb) ======= Genesis 23:11 ============ Gen 23:11 Nay, my lord, hear me: the field give I thee, and the cave that is therein, I give it thee; in the presence of the sons of my people give I it thee: bury thy dead.(KJV) Genesis 23:11 No, my Lorde, heare me: the fielde giue I thee, and the caue, that therein is, I giue it thee: euen in the presence of the sonnes of my people giue I it thee, to bury thy dead.(Geneva) Genèse 23:11 Non, mon seigneur, écoute-moi! Je te les donne, aux yeux des fils de mon peuple: enterre ton mort.(FR) 11 ׃23 לֹֽא־אֲדֹנִ֣י שְׁמָעֵ֔נִי הַשָּׂדֶה֙ נָתַ֣תִּי לָ֔ךְ וְהַמְּעָרָ֥ה אֲשֶׁר־בּ֖וֹ לְךָ֣ נְתַתִּ֑יהָ לְעֵינֵ֧י בְנֵי־עַמִּ֛י נְתַתִּ֥יהָ לָּ֖ךְ קְבֹ֥ר מֵתֶֽךָ׃ Genesis Gen 23:11 "No, my lord, hear me; I give you the field, and I give you the cave that is in it. In the presence of the sons of my people I give it to you; bury your dead."(nasb) ======= Genesis 23:12 ============ Gen 23:12 And Abraham bowed down himself before the people of the land.(KJV) Genesis 23:12 Then Abraham bowed himselfe before the people of the land,(Geneva) Genèse 23:12 Abraham se prosterna devant le peuple du pays.(FR) 12 ׃23 וַיִּשְׁתַּ֙חוּ֙ אַבְרָהָ֔ם לִפְנֵ֖י עַ֥ם הָאָֽרֶץ׃ Genesis Gen 23:12 And Abraham bowed before the people of the land.(nasb) ======= Genesis 23:13 ============ Gen 23:13 And he spake unto Ephron in the audience of the people of the land, saying, But if thou wilt give it, I pray thee, hear me: I will give thee money for the field; take it of me, and I will bury my dead there.(KJV) Genesis 23:13 And spake vnto Ephron in the audience of the people of the countrey, saying, Seeing thou wilt giue it, I pray thee, heare me, I will giue the price of the fielde: receiue it of me, and I will bury my dead there.(Geneva) Genèse 23:13 Et il parla ainsi à Ephron, en présence du peuple du pays: Ecoute-moi, je te prie! Je donne le prix du champ: accepte-le de moi; et j'y enterrerai mon mort.(FR) 13 ׃23 וַיְדַבֵּ֨ר אֶל־עֶפְר֜וֹן בְּאָזְנֵ֤י עַם־הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר אַ֛ךְ אִם־אַתָּ֥ה ל֖וּ שְׁמָעֵ֑נִי נָתַ֜תִּי כֶּ֤סֶף הַשָּׂדֶה֙ קַ֣ח מִמֶּ֔נִּי וְאֶקְבְּרָ֥ה אֶת־מֵתִ֖י שָֽׁמָּה׃ Genesis Gen 23:13 He spoke to Ephron in the hearing of the people of the land, saying, "If you will only please listen to me; I will give the price of the field, accept it from me that I may bury my dead there."(nasb) ======= Genesis 23:14 ============ Gen 23:14 And Ephron answered Abraham, saying unto him,(KJV) Genesis 23:14 Ephron then answered Abraham, saying vnto him,(Geneva) Genèse 23:14 Et Ephron répondit à Abraham, en lui disant:(FR) 14 ׃23 וַיַּ֧עַן עֶפְר֛וֹן אֶת־אַבְרָהָ֖ם לֵאמֹ֥ר לֽוֹ׃ Genesis Gen 23:14 Then Ephron answered Abraham, saying to him,(nasb) ======= Genesis 23:15 ============ Gen 23:15 My lord, hearken unto me: the land is worth four hundred shekels of silver; what is that betwixt me and thee? bury therefore thy dead.(KJV) Genesis 23:15 My lord, hearken vnto me: ye land is worth foure hundreth shekels of siluer: what is that betweene me and thee? bury therefore thy dead.(Geneva) Genèse 23:15 Mon seigneur, écoute-moi! Une terre de quatre cents sicles d'argent, qu'est-ce que cela entre moi et toi?
