(nasb) ======= Isaiah 37:3 ============ Isa 37:3 And they said unto him, Thus saith Hezekiah, This day is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and of blasphemy: for the children are come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth.(KJV) Isaiah 37:3 And they sayd vnto him, Thus saith Hezekiah, This day is a day of tribulation and of rebuke and blasphemie: for the children are come to the birth, and there is no strength to bring foorth.(Geneva) Ésaïe 37:3 Et ils lui dirent: Ainsi parle Ezéchias: Ce jour est un jour d'angoisse, de châtiment et d'opprobre; car les enfants sont près de sortir du sein maternel, et il n'y a point de force pour l'enfantement.(FR) 3 ׃37 וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ אֵלָ֗יו כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר חִזְקִיָּ֔הוּ יוֹם־צָרָ֧ה וְתוֹכֵחָ֛ה וּנְאָצָ֖ה הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֑ה כִּ֣י בָ֤אוּ בָנִים֙ עַד־מַשְׁבֵּ֔ר וְכֹ֥חַ אַ֖יִן לְלֵדָֽה׃ Isaiah Isa 37:3 They said to him, "Thus says Hezekiah, 'This day is a day of distress, rebuke and rejection; for children have come to birth, and there is no strength to deliver. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 37:4 ============ Isa 37:4 It may be the LORD thy God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master hath sent to reproach the living God, and will reprove the words which the LORD thy God hath heard: wherefore lift up thy prayer for the remnant that is left.(KJV) Isaiah 37:4 If so be the Lorde thy God hath heard the wordes of Rabshakeh, whom the King of Asshur his master hath sent to raile on the liuing God, and to reproch him with wordes which the Lord thy God hath heard, then lift thou vp thy prayer for the remnant that are left.(Geneva) Ésaïe 37:4 Peut-être l'Eternel, ton Dieu, a-t-il entendu les paroles de Rabschaké, que le roi d'Assyrie, son maître, a envoyé pour insulter le Dieu vivant, et peut-être l'Eternel, ton Dieu, exercera-t-il ses châtiments à cause des paroles qu'il a entendues. Fais donc monter une prière pour le reste qui subsiste encore.(FR) 4 ׃37 אוּלַ֡י יִשְׁמַע֩ יְהוָ֨ה אֱלֹהֶ֜יךָ אֵ֣ת ׀ דִּבְרֵ֣י רַב־[t] שָׁקֵ֗ה אֲשֶׁר֩ שְׁלָח֨וֹ מֶֽלֶךְ־אַשּׁ֤וּר ׀ אֲדֹנָיו֙ לְחָרֵף֙ אֱלֹהִ֣ים חַ֔י וְהוֹכִ֙יחַ֙ בַּדְּבָרִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר שָׁמַ֖ע יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ וְנָשָׂ֣אתָ תְפִלָּ֔ה בְּעַ֥ד הַשְּׁאֵרִ֖ית הַנִּמְצָאָֽה׃ Isaiah Isa 37:4 Perhaps the Lord your God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom his master the king of Assyria has sent to reproach the living God, and will rebuke the words which the Lord your God has heard. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 37:7 ============ Isa 37:7 Behold, I will send a blast upon him, and he shall hear a rumour, and return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.(KJV) Isaiah 37:7 Beholde, I wil send a blast vpon him, and he shall heare a noyse, and returne to his owne land, and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his owne land.(Geneva) Ésaïe 37:7 Je vais mettre en lui un esprit tel que, sur une nouvelle qu'il recevra, il retournera dans son pays; et je le ferai tomber par l'épée dans son pays.(FR) 7 ׃37 הִנְנִ֨י נוֹתֵ֥ן בּוֹ֙ ר֔וּחַ וְשָׁמַ֥ע שְׁמוּעָ֖ה וְשָׁ֣ב אֶל־אַרְצ֑וֹ וְהִפַּלְתִּ֥יו בַּחֶ֖רֶב בְּאַרְצֽוֹ׃ Isaiah Isa 37:7 Behold, I will put a spirit in him so that he will hear a rumor and return to his own land. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 37:9 ============ Isa 37:9 And he heard say concerning Tirhakah king of Ethiopia, He is come forth to make war with thee. And when he heard it, he sent messengers to Hezekiah, saying,(KJV) Isaiah 37:9 He heard also men say of Tirhakah, King of Ethiopia, Beholde, he is come out to fight against thee: and when he heard it, he sent other messengers to Hezekiah, saying,(Geneva) Ésaïe 37:9 Alors le roi d'Assyrie reçut une nouvelle au sujet de Tirhaka, roi d'Ethiopie; on lui dit: Il s'est mis en marche pour te faire la guerre. Dès qu'il eut entendu cela, il envoya des messagers à Ezéchias, en disant:(FR) 9 ׃37 וַיִּשְׁמַ֗ע עַל־תִּרְהָ֤קָה מֶֽלֶךְ־כּוּשׁ֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר יָצָ֖א לְהִלָּחֵ֣ם אִתָּ֑ךְ וַיִּשְׁמַע֙ וַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח מַלְאָכִ֔ים אֶל־חִזְקִיָּ֖הוּ לֵאמֹֽר׃ Isaiah Isa 37:9 When he heard them say concerning Tirhakah king of Cush," He has come out to fight against you," and when he heard it he sent messengers to Hezekiah, saying, (nasb) ======= Isaiah 37:10 ============ Isa 37:10 Thus shall ye speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying, Let not thy God, in whom thou trustest, deceive thee, saying, Jerusalem shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.(KJV) Isaiah 37:10 Thus shall ye speake to Hezekiah King of Iudah, saying, Let not thy God deceiue thee, in whom thou trustest, saying, Ierusalem shal not be giuen into the hand of the King of Asshur.(Geneva) Ésaïe 37:10 Vous parlerez ainsi à Ezéchias, roi de Juda: Que ton Dieu, auquel tu te confies, ne t'abuse point en disant: Jérusalem ne sera pas livrée entre les mains du roi d'Assyrie.(FR) 10 ׃37 כֹּ֣ה תֹאמְר֗וּן אֶל־חִזְקִיָּ֤הוּ מֶֽלֶךְ־יְהוּדָה֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר אַל־יַשִּֽׁאֲךָ֣ אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ אֲשֶׁ֥ר אַתָּ֛ה בּוֹטֵ֥חַ בּ֖וֹ לֵאמֹ֑ר לֹ֤א תִנָּתֵן֙ יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם בְּיַ֖ד מֶ֥לֶךְ אַשּֽׁוּר׃ Isaiah Isa 37:10 "Thus you shall say to Hezekiah king of Judah, 'Do not let your God in whom you trust deceive you, saying, "Jerusalem will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria."(nasb) ======= Isaiah 37:11 ============ Isa 37:11 Behold, thou hast heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands by destroying them utterly; and shalt thou be delivered?(KJV) Isaiah 37:11 Beholde, thou hast heard what the Kings of Asshur haue done to all lands in destroying them, and shalt thou be deliuered?(Geneva) Ésaïe 37:11 Voici, tu as appris ce qu'ont fait les rois d'Assyrie à tous les pays, et comment ils les ont détruits; et toi, tu serais délivré!(FR) 11 ׃37 הִנֵּ֣ה ׀ אַתָּ֣ה שָׁמַ֗עְתָּ אֲשֶׁ֨ר עָשׂ֜וּ מַלְכֵ֥י אַשּׁ֛וּר לְכָל־הָאֲרָצ֖וֹת לְהַחֲרִימָ֑ם וְאַתָּ֖ה תִּנָּצֵֽל׃ Isaiah Isa 37:11 Behold, you have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all the lands, destroying them completely. So will you be spared? (nasb) ======= Isaiah 37:14 ============ Isa 37:14 And Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up unto the house of the LORD, and spread it before the LORD.(KJV) Isaiah 37:14 So Hezekiah receiued the letter of the hand of the messengers and read it, and he went vp into the House of the Lorde, and Hezekiah spread it before the Lord.(Geneva) Ésaïe 37:14 Ezéchias prit la lettre de la main des messagers, et la lut. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 37:15 ============ Isa 37:15 And Hezekiah prayed unto the LORD, saying,(KJV) Isaiah 37:15 And Hezekiah prayed vnto the Lorde, saying,(Geneva) Ésaïe 37:15 qui il adressa cette prière:(FR) 15 ׃37 וַיִּתְפַּלֵּל֙ חִזְקִיָּ֔הוּ אֶל־יְהוָ֖ה לֵאמֹֽר׃ Isaiah Isa 37:15 Hezekiah prayed to the Lord saying, (nasb) ======= Isaiah 37:16 ============ Isa 37:16 O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, that dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth: thou hast made heaven and earth.(KJV) Isaiah 37:16 O Lorde of hostes, God of Israel, which dwellest betweene the Cherubims, thou art very God alone ouer all the kingdomes of the earth: thou hast made the heauen and the earth.(Geneva) Ésaïe 37:16 Eternel des armées, Dieu d'Israël, assis sur les chérubins! C'est toi qui es le seul Dieu de tous les royaumes de la terre, c'est toi qui as fait les cieux et la terre.(FR) 16 ׃37 יְהוָ֨ה צְבָא֜וֹת אֱלֹהֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ יֹשֵׁ֣ב הַכְּרֻבִ֔ים אַתָּה־ה֤וּא הָֽאֱלֹהִים֙ לְבַדְּךָ֔ לְכֹ֖ל מַמְלְכ֣וֹת הָאָ֑רֶץ אַתָּ֣ה עָשִׂ֔יתָ אֶת־הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם וְאֶת־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ Isaiah Isa 37:16 "O Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, who is enthroned above the cherubim, You are the God, You alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 37:17 ============ Isa 37:17 Incline thine ear, O LORD, and hear; open thine eyes, O LORD, and see: and hear all the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent to reproach the living God.(KJV) Isaiah 37:17 Encline thine eare, O Lord, and heare: open thine eyes, O Lorde, and see, and heare all the wordes of Saneherib, who hath sent to blaspheme the liuing God.(Geneva) Ésaïe 37:17 Eternel, incline ton oreille, et écoute! Eternel, ouvre tes yeux, et regarde! Entends toutes les paroles que Sanchérib a envoyées pour insulter au Dieu vivant!(FR) 17 ׃37 הַטֵּ֨ה יְהוָ֤ה ׀ אָזְנְךָ֙ וּֽשְׁמָ֔ע פְּקַ֧ח יְהוָ֛ה עֵינֶ֖ךָ וּרְאֵ֑ה וּשְׁמַ֗ע אֵ֚ת כָּל־דִּבְרֵ֣י סַנְחֵרִ֔יב אֲשֶׁ֣ר שָׁלַ֔ח לְחָרֵ֖ף אֱלֹהִ֥ים חָֽי׃ Isaiah Isa 37:17 Incline Your ear, O Lord, and hear; open Your eyes, O Lord, and see; and listen to all the words of Sennacherib, who sent them to reproach the living God. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 37:18 ============ Isa 37:18 Of a truth, LORD, the kings of Assyria have laid waste all the nations, and their countries,(KJV) Isaiah 37:18 Trueth it is, O Lord, that the Kings of Asshur haue destroyed all lands, & their countrey,(Geneva) Ésaïe 37:18 Il est vrai, ô Eternel! que les rois d'Assyrie ont ravagé tous les pays et leur propre pays,(FR) 18 ׃37 אָמְנָ֖ם יְהוָ֑ה הֶחֱרִ֜יבוּ מַלְכֵ֥י אַשּׁ֛וּר אֶת־כָּל־הָאֲרָצ֖וֹת וְאֶת־אַרְצָֽם׃ Isaiah Isa 37:18 Truly, O Lord, the kings of Assyria have devastated all the countries and their lands, (nasb) ======= Isaiah 37:19 ============ Isa 37:19 And have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them.(KJV) Isaiah 37:19 And haue cast their gods in ye fire: for they were no gods, but the worke of mans hands, euen wood or stone: therefore they destroyed them.(Geneva) Ésaïe 37:19 et qu'ils ont jeté leurs dieux dans le feu; mais ce n'étaient point des dieux, c'étaient des ouvrages de mains d'homme, du bois et de la pierre; et ils les ont anéantis.(FR) 19 ׃37 וְנָתֹ֥ן אֶת־אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֖ם בָּאֵ֑שׁ כִּי֩ לֹ֨א אֱלֹהִ֜ים הֵ֗מָּה כִּ֣י אִם־מַעֲשֵׂ֧ה יְדֵֽי־אָדָ֛ם עֵ֥ץ וָאֶ֖בֶן וַֽיְאַבְּדֽוּם׃ Isaiah Isa 37:19 and have cast their gods into the fire, for they were not gods but the work of men's hands, wood and stone. So they have destroyed them. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 37:20 ============ Isa 37:20 Now therefore, O LORD our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the LORD, even thou only.(KJV) Isaiah 37:20 Nowe therefore, O Lorde our God, saue thou vs out of his hand, that all the kingdomes of the earth may knowe, that thou onely art the Lorde.(Geneva) Ésaïe 37:20 Maintenant, Eternel, notre Dieu, délivre-nous de la main de Sanchérib, et que tous les royaumes de la terre sachent que toi seul es l'Eternel!(FR) 20 ׃37 וְעַתָּה֙ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ הוֹשִׁיעֵ֖נוּ מִיָד֑וֹ וְיֵֽדְעוּ֙ כָּל־מַמְלְכ֣וֹת הָאָ֔רֶץ כִּֽי־אַתָּ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה לְבַדֶּֽךָ׃ Isaiah Isa 37:20 Now, O Lord our God, deliver us from his hand that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You alone, Lord, are God." (nasb) ======= Isaiah 37:38 ============ Isa 37:38 And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons smote him with the sword; and they escaped into the land of Armenia: and Esarhaddon his son reigned in his stead.(kjv) Isaiah 37:38 And as he was in the temple worshipping of Nisroch his god, Adramelech and Sharezer his sonnes slewe him with the sword, and they escaped into the land of Ararat: and Esarhaddon his sonne reigned in his steade.(Geneva) Ésaïe 37:38 Or, comme il était prosterné dans la maison de Nisroc, son dieu, Adrammélec et Scharetser, ses fils, le frappèrent par l'épée, et s'enfuirent au pays d'Ararat. And Esarhaddon his son became king in his place. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 38:1 ============ Isa 38:1 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.(KJV) Isaiah 38:1 About that time was Hezekiah sicke vnto the death, and the Prophet Isaiah sonne of Amoz came vnto him, and sayd vnto him, Thus sayth the Lord, Put thine house in an order, for thou shalt dye, and not liue.(Geneva) Ésaïe 38:1 En ce temps-là, Ezéchias fut malade à la mort.
