You did not show mercy to them, On the aged you made your yoke very heavy. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 47:7 ============ Isa 47:7 And thou saidst, I shall be a lady for ever: so that thou didst not lay these things to thy heart, neither didst remember the latter end of it.(KJV) Isaiah 47:7 And thou saidest, I shal be a ladie for euer, so that thou diddest not set thy mind to these things, neither diddest thou remeber ye latter end therof.(Geneva) Ésaïe 47:7 Tu disais: A toujours je serai souveraine! I will not sit as a widow, Nor know loss of children.'(nasb) ======= Isaiah 47:9 ============ Isa 47:9 But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great abundance of thine enchantments.(KJV) Isaiah 47:9 But these two thinges shall come to thee suddenly on one day, the losse of children and widowhoode: they shall come vpon thee in their perfection, for the multitude of thy diuinations, and for the great abundance of thine inchanters.(Geneva) Ésaïe 47:9 Ces deux choses t'arriveront subitement, au même jour, La privation d'enfants et le veuvage; Elles fondront en plein sur toi, Malgré la multitude de tes sortilèges, Malgré le grand nombre de tes enchantements.(FR) 9 ׃47 וְתָבֹאנָה֩ לָּ֨ךְ שְׁתֵּי־אֵ֥לֶּה רֶ֛גַע בְּי֥וֹם אֶחָ֖ד שְׁכ֣וֹל וְאַלְמֹ֑ן כְּתֻמָּם֙ בָּ֣אוּ עָלַ֔יִךְ בְּרֹ֣ב כְּשָׁפַ֔יִךְ בְּעָצְמַ֥ת חֲבָרַ֖יִךְ מְאֹֽד׃ Isaiah Isa 47:9 "But these two things will come on you suddenly in one day: Loss of children and widowhood. They will come on you in full measure In spite of your many sorceries, In spite of the great power of your spells.
