Quelle maison pourriez-vous me bâtir, Et quel lieu me donneriez-vous pour demeure?(FR) 1 ׃66 כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם כִּסְאִ֔י וְהָאָ֖רֶץ הֲדֹ֣ם רַגְלָ֑י אֵי־זֶ֥ה בַ֙יִת֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר תִּבְנוּ־לִ֔י וְאֵי־זֶ֥ה מָק֖וֹם מְנוּחָתִֽי׃ Isaiah Isa 66:1 Thus says the Lord, "Heaven is My throne and the earth is My footstool. Where then is a house you could build for Me? And where is a place that I may rest? (nasb) ======= Isaiah 66:2 ============ Isa 66:2 For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.(KJV) Isaiah 66:2 For all these things hath mine hand made, and all these things haue bene, sayth the Lorde: and to him will I looke, euen to him, that is poore, and of a contrite spirite and trembleth at my wordes.(Geneva) Ésaïe 66:2 Toutes ces choses, ma main les a faites, Et toutes ont reçu l'existence, dit l'Eternel. Voici sur qui je porterai mes regards: Sur celui qui souffre et qui a l'esprit abattu, Sur celui qui craint ma parole.(FR) 2 ׃66 וְאֶת־כָּל־אֵ֙לֶּה֙ יָדִ֣י עָשָׂ֔תָה וַיִּהְי֥וּ כָל־אֵ֖לֶּה נְאֻם־יְהוָ֑ה וְאֶל־זֶ֣ה אַבִּ֔יט אֶל־עָנִי֙ וּנְכֵה־ר֔וּחַ וְחָרֵ֖ד עַל־דְּבָרִֽי׃ Isaiah Isa 66:2 "For My hand made all these things, Thus all these things came into being," declares the Lord." But to this one I will look, To him who is humble and contrite of spirit, and who trembles at My word. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 66:3 ============ Isa 66:3 He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.(KJV) Isaiah 66:3 He that killeth a bullocke, is as if he slewe a man: he that sacrificeth a sheepe, as if he cut off a dogges necke: he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swines blood: he that remembreth incense, as if he blessed an idole: yea, they haue chosen their owne wayes, and their soule deliteth in their abominations.(Geneva) Ésaïe 66:3 Celui qui immole un boeuf est comme celui qui tuerait un homme, Celui qui sacrifie un agneau est comme celui qui romprait la nuque à un chien, Celui qui présente une offrande est comme celui qui répandrait du sang de porc, Celui qui brûle de l'encens est comme celui qui adorerait des idoles; Tous ceux-là se complaisent dans leurs voies, Et leur âme trouve du plaisir dans leurs abominations.(FR) 3 ׃66 שׁוֹחֵ֨ט הַשּׁ֜וֹר מַכֵּה־אִ֗ישׁ זוֹבֵ֤חַ הַשֶּׂה֙ עֹ֣רֵֽף כֶּ֔לֶב מַעֲלֵ֤ה מִנְחָה֙ דַּם־חֲזִ֔יר מַזְכִּ֥יר לְבֹנָ֖ה מְבָ֣רֵֽךְ אָ֑וֶן גַּם־הֵ֗מָּה בָּֽחֲרוּ֙ בְּדַרְכֵיהֶ֔ם וּבְשִׁקּוּצֵיהֶ֖ם נַפְשָׁ֥ם חָפֵֽצָה׃ Isaiah Isa 66:3 "But he who kills an ox is like one who slays a man; He who sacrifices a lamb is like the one who breaks a dog's neck; He who offers a grain offering is like one who offers swine's blood; He who burns incense is like the one who blesses an idol. As they have chosen their own ways, And their soul delights in their abominations, (nasb) ======= Isaiah 66:4 ============ Isa 66:4 I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.(KJV) Isaiah 66:4 Therefore will I chuse out their delusions, and I will bring their feare vpon them, because I called, and none woulde answere: I spake and they woulde not heare: but they did euill in my sight, and chose the things which I would not.(Geneva) Ésaïe 66:4 Moi aussi, je me complairai dans leur infortune, Et je ferai venir sur eux ce qui cause leur effroi, Parce que j'ai appelé, et qu'ils n'ont point répondu, Parce que j'ai parlé, et qu'ils n'ont point écouté; Mais ils ont fait ce qui est mal à mes yeux, Et ils ont choisi ce qui me déplaît.(FR) 4 ׃66 גַּם־אֲנִ֞י אֶבְחַ֣ר בְּתַעֲלֻלֵיהֶ֗ם וּמְגֽוּרֹתָם֙ אָבִ֣יא לָהֶ֔ם יַ֤עַן קָרָ֙אתִי֙ וְאֵ֣ין עוֹנֶ֔ה דִּבַּ֖רְתִּי וְלֹ֣א שָׁמֵ֑עוּ וַיַּעֲשׂ֤וּ הָרַע֙ בְּעֵינַ֔י וּבַאֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹֽא־חָפַ֖צְתִּי בָּחָֽרוּ׃ ס Isaiah Isa 66:4 So I will choose their punishments And will bring on them what they dread. Because I called, but no one answered; I spoke, but they did not listen. And they did evil in My sight And chose that in which I did not delight."(nasb) ======= Isaiah 66:5 ============ Isa 66:5 Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.(KJV) Isaiah 66:5 Heare the worde of the Lorde, all ye that tremble at his worde, Your brethren that hated you, and cast you out for my Names sake, said, Let the Lord be glorified: but he shall appeare to your ioy, and they shall be ashamed.(Geneva) Ésaïe 66:5 Ecoutez la parole de l'Eternel, Vous qui craignez sa parole. Voici ce que disent vos frères, Qui vous haïssent et vous repoussent A cause de mon nom: Que l'Eternel montre sa gloire, Et que nous voyions votre joie! -Mais ils seront confondus.(FR) 5 ׃66 שִׁמְעוּ֙ דְּבַר־יְהוָ֔ה הַחֲרֵדִ֖ים אֶל־דְּבָר֑וֹ אָמְרוּ֩ אֲחֵיכֶ֨ם שֹׂנְאֵיכֶ֜ם מְנַדֵּיכֶ֗ם לְמַ֤עַן שְׁמִי֙ יִכְבַּ֣ד יְהוָ֔ה וְנִרְאֶ֥ה בְשִׂמְחַתְכֶ֖ם וְהֵ֥ם יֵבֹֽשׁוּ׃ Isaiah Isa 66:5 Hear the word of the Lord, you who tremble at His word: "Your brothers who hate you, who exclude you for My name's sake, Have said, 'Let the Lord be glorified, that we may see your joy.'But they will be put to shame. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 66:6 ============ Isa 66:6 A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that rendereth recompence to his enemies.(KJV) Isaiah 66:6 A voyce soundeth from the citie, euen a voyce from the Temple, the voyce of the Lorde, that recompenseth his enemies fully.(Geneva) Ésaïe 66:6 Une voix éclatante sort de la ville, Une voix sort du temple. C'est la voix de l'Eternel, Qui paie à ses ennemis leur salaire.(FR) 6 ׃66 ק֤וֹל שָׁאוֹן֙ מֵעִ֔יר ק֖וֹל מֵֽהֵיכָ֑ל ק֣וֹל יְהוָ֔ה מְשַׁלֵּ֥ם גְּמ֖וּל לְאֹיְבָֽיו׃ Isaiah Isa 66:6 "A voice of uproar from the city, a voice from the temple, The voice of the Lord who is rendering recompense to His enemies. Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.(KJV) Isaiah 66:8 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seene such things? shall ye earth be brought forth in one day? or shall a nation be borne at once? for assoone as Zion trauailed, she brought foorth her children.(Geneva) Ésaïe 66:8 Qui a jamais entendu pareille chose? Qui a jamais vu rien de semblable? Un pays peut-il naître en un jour? Une nation est-elle enfantée d'un seul coup? A peine en travail, Sion a enfanté ses fils!(FR) 8 ׃66 מִֽי־שָׁמַ֣ע כָּזֹ֗את מִ֤י רָאָה֙ כָּאֵ֔לֶּה הֲי֤וּחַל אֶ֙רֶץ֙ בְּי֣וֹם אֶחָ֔ד אִם־יִוָּ֥לֵֽד גּ֖וֹי פַּ֣עַם אֶחָ֑ת כִּֽי־חָ֛לָה גַּם־יָלְדָ֥ה צִיּ֖וֹן אֶת־בָּנֶֽיהָ׃ Isaiah Isa 66:8 "Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Can a land be born in one day? Can a nation be brought forth all at once? As soon as Zion travailed, she also brought forth her sons. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 66:9 ============ Isa 66:9 Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God.(KJV) Isaiah 66:9 Shall I cause to trauaile, and not bring forth? shall I cause to bring forth, and shall be baren, saith thy God?(Geneva) Ésaïe 66:9 Ouvrirais-je le sein maternel, Pour ne pas laisser enfanter? dit l'Eternel; Moi, qui fais naître, Empêcherais-je d'enfanter? dit ton Dieu.(FR) 9 ׃66 הַאֲנִ֥י אַשְׁבִּ֛יר וְלֹ֥א אוֹלִ֖יד יֹאמַ֣ר יְהוָ֑ה אִם־אֲנִ֧י הַמּוֹלִ֛יד וְעָצַ֖רְתִּי אָמַ֥ר אֱלֹהָֽיִךְ׃ ס Isaiah Isa 66:9 "Shall I bring to the point of birth and not give delivery?" says the Lord." Or shall I who gives delivery shut the womb?" says your God. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 66:15 ============ Isa 66:15 For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.(KJV) Isaiah 66:15 For beholde, the Lord will come with fire, and his charets like a whirlewinde, that he may recompence his anger with wrath, & his indignation with the flame of fire.(Geneva) Ésaïe 66:15 Car voici, l'Eternel arrive dans un feu, Et ses chars sont comme un tourbillon; Il convertit sa colère en un brasier, Et ses menaces en flammes de feu.(FR) 15 ׃66 כִּֽי־הִנֵּ֤ה יְהוָה֙ בָּאֵ֣שׁ יָב֔וֹא וְכַסּוּפָ֖ה מַרְכְּבֹתָ֑יו לְהָשִׁ֤יב בְּחֵמָה֙ אַפּ֔וֹ וְגַעֲרָת֖וֹ בְּלַהֲבֵי־אֵֽשׁ׃ Isaiah Isa 66:15 For behold, the Lord will come in fire And His chariots like the whirlwind, To render His anger with fury, And His rebuke with flames of fire. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 66:16 ============ Isa 66:16 For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.(KJV) Isaiah 66:16 For the Lord will iudge with fire, and with his sworde all flesh, and the slaine of the Lorde shall be many.(Geneva) Ésaïe 66:16 C'est par le feu que l'Eternel exerce ses jugements, C'est par son glaive qu'il châtie toute chair; Et ceux que tuera l'Eternel seront en grand nombre.(FR) 16 ׃66 כִּ֤י בָאֵשׁ֙ יְהוָ֣ה נִשְׁפָּ֔ט וּבְחַרְבּ֖וֹ אֶת־כָּל־בָּשָׂ֑ר וְרַבּ֖וּ חַֽלְלֵ֥י יְהוָֽה׃ Isaiah Isa 66:16 For the Lord will execute judgment by fire And by His sword on all flesh, And those slain by the Lord will be many. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 66:17 ============ Isa 66:17 They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.(KJV) Isaiah 66:17 They that sanctifie themselues, and purifie themselues in the gardens behinde one tree in the middes eating swines flesh, and such abomination, euen the mouse, shall be consumed together, sayeth the Lord.(Geneva) Ésaïe 66:17 Ceux qui se sanctifient et se purifient dans les jardins, Au milieu desquels ils vont un à un, Qui mangent de la chair de porc, Des choses abominables et des souris, Tous ceux-là périront, dit l'Eternel.(FR) 17 ׃66 הַמִּתְקַדְּשִׁ֨ים וְהַמִּֽטַּהֲרִ֜ים אֶל־הַגַּנּ֗וֹת אַחַ֤ר *אחד **אַחַת֙ בַּתָּ֔וֶךְ אֹֽכְלֵי֙ בְּשַׂ֣ר הַחֲזִ֔יר וְהַשֶּׁ֖קֶץ וְהָעַכְבָּ֑ר יַחְדָּ֥ו יָסֻ֖פוּ נְאֻם־יְהוָֽה׃ Isaiah Isa 66:17 "Those who sanctify and purify themselves to go to the gardens, Following one in the center, Who eat swine's flesh, detestable things and mice, Will come to an end altogether," declares the Lord. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 66:18 ============ Isa 66:18 For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.(KJV) Isaiah 66:18 For I will visite their workes, and their imaginations: for it shall come that I will gather all nations, and tongues, and they shall come, and see my glorie.(Geneva) Ésaïe 66:18 Je connais leurs oeuvres et leurs pensées. Le temps est venu de rassembler toutes les nations Et toutes les langues; Elles viendront et verront ma gloire.(FR) 18 ׃66 וְאָנֹכִ֗י מַעֲשֵׂיהֶם֙ וּמַחְשְׁבֹ֣תֵיהֶ֔ם בָּאָ֕ה לְקַבֵּ֥ץ אֶת־כָּל־הַגּוֹיִ֖ם וְהַלְּשֹׁנ֑וֹת וּבָ֖אוּ וְרָא֥וּ אֶת־כְּבוֹדִֽי׃ Isaiah Isa 66:18 "For I know their works and their thoughts; the time is coming to gather all nations and tongues. And they shall come and see My glory. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 66:19 ============ Isa 66:19 And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.(KJV) Isaiah 66:19 And I will set a signe among them, and will send those that escape of them, vnto the nations of Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, and to them that drawe the bowe, to Tubal and Tauan, yles afarre off, that haue not heard my fame, neither haue seene my glorie, and they shall declare my glorie among the Gentiles.(Geneva) Ésaïe 66:19 Je mettrai un signe parmi elles, Et j'enverrai leurs réchappés vers les nations, A Tarsis, à Pul et à Lud, qui tirent de l'arc, A Tubal et à Javan, Aux îles lointaines, Qui jamais n'ont entendu parler de moi, Et qui n'ont pas vu ma gloire; Et ils publieront ma gloire parmi les nations.(FR) 19 ׃66 וְשַׂמְתִּ֨י בָהֶ֜ם א֗וֹת וְשִׁלַּחְתִּ֣י מֵהֶ֣ם ׀ פְּ֠לֵיטִים אֶֽל־הַגּוֹיִ֞ם תַּרְשִׁ֨ישׁ פּ֥וּל וְל֛וּד מֹ֥שְׁכֵי קֶ֖שֶׁת תֻּבַ֣ל וְיָוָ֑ן הָאִיִּ֣ים הָרְחֹקִ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֨ר לֹא־שָׁמְע֤וּ אֶת־שִׁמְעִי֙ וְלֹא־רָא֣וּ אֶת־כְּבוֹדִ֔י וְהִגִּ֥ידוּ אֶת־כְּבוֹדִ֖י בַּגּוֹיִֽם׃ Isaiah Isa 66:19 I will set a sign among them and will send survivors from them to the nations: Tarshish, Put, Lud, Meshech, Tubal and Javan, to the distant coastlands that have neither heard My fame nor seen My glory. And they will declare My glory among the nations.
