Le pays même ne serait-il pas souillé? Et toi, tu t'es prostituée à de nombreux amants, Et tu reviendrais à moi! dit l'Eternel.(FR) 1 ׃3 לֵאמֹ֡ר הֵ֣ן יְשַׁלַּ֣ח אִ֣ישׁ אֶת־אִשְׁתּוֹ֩ וְהָלְכָ֨ה מֵאִתּ֜וֹ וְהָיְתָ֣ה לְאִישׁ־אַחֵ֗ר הֲיָשׁ֤וּב אֵלֶ֙יהָ֙ ע֔וֹד הֲל֛וֹא חָנ֥וֹף תֶּחֱנַ֖ף הָאָ֣רֶץ הַהִ֑יא וְאַ֗תְּ זָנִית֙ רֵעִ֣ים רַבִּ֔ים וְשׁ֥וֹב אֵלַ֖י נְאֻם־יְהֹוָֽה׃ Jeremiah Jer 3:1 God says, "If a husband divorces his wife And she goes from him And belongs to another man, Will he still return to her? Will not that land be completely polluted? But you are a harlot with many lovers; Yet you turn to Me," declares the Lord. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 3:2 ============ Jer 3:2 Lift up thine eyes unto the high places, and see where thou hast not been lien with. In the ways hast thou sat for them, as the Arabian in the wilderness; and thou hast polluted the land with thy whoredoms and with thy wickedness.(KJV) Jeremiah 3:2 Lift vp thine eyes vnto the hie places, and beholde, where thou hast not plaied the harlot: thou hast sit waiting for them in the waies, as the Arabian in the wildernesse: and thou hast polluted the lande with thy whoredomes, and with thy malice.(Geneva) Jérémie 3:2 Lève tes yeux vers les hauteurs, et regarde! Où ne t'es-tu pas prostituée! Tu te tenais sur les chemins, comme l'Arabe dans le désert, Et tu as souillé le pays par tes prostitutions et par ta méchanceté.(FR) 2 ׃3 שְׂאִֽי־עֵינַ֨יִךְ עַל־שְׁפָיִ֜ם וּרְאִ֗י אֵיפֹה֙ לֹ֣א *שגלת **שֻׁכַּ֔בְתְּ עַל־דְּרָכִים֙ יָשַׁ֣בְתְּ לָהֶ֔ם כַּעֲרָבִ֖י בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר וַתַּחֲנִ֣יפִי אֶ֔רֶץ בִּזְנוּתַ֖יִךְ וּבְרָעָתֵֽךְ׃ Jeremiah Jer 3:2 "Lift up your eyes to the bare heights and see; Where have you not been violated? By the roads you have sat for them Like an Arab in the desert, And you have polluted a land With your harlotry and with your wickedness. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 3:3 ============ Jer 3:3 Therefore the showers have been withholden, and there hath been no latter rain; and thou hadst a whore's forehead, thou refusedst to be ashamed.(KJV) Jeremiah 3:3 Therefore the showres haue beene restrained, and the latter raine came not, and thou haddest a whores forehead: thou wouldest not bee ashamed.(Geneva) Jérémie 3:3 Aussi les pluies ont-elles été retenues, Et la pluie du printemps a-t-elle manqué; Mais tu as eu le front d'une femme prostituée, Tu n'as pas voulu avoir honte.(FR) 3 ׃3 וַיִּמָּנְע֣וּ רְבִבִ֔ים וּמַלְק֖וֹשׁ ל֣וֹא הָיָ֑ה וּמֵ֨צַח אִשָּׁ֤ה זוֹנָה֙ הָ֣יָה לָ֔ךְ מֵאַ֖נְתְּ הִכָּלֵֽם׃ Jeremiah Jer 3:3 "Therefore the showers have been withheld, And there has been no spring rain. Yet you had a harlot's forehead; You refused to be ashamed. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 3:4 ============ Jer 3:4 Wilt thou not from this time cry unto me, My father, thou art the guide of my youth?(KJV) Jeremiah 3:4 Diddest thou not stil crie vnto me, Thou art my father, and the guide of my youth?(Geneva) Jérémie 3:4 Maintenant, n'est-ce pas? tu cries vers moi: Mon père! Tu as été l'ami de ma jeunesse!(FR) 4 ׃3 הֲל֣וֹא מֵעַ֔תָּה *קראתי **קָרָ֥את לִ֖י אָבִ֑י אַלּ֥וּף נְעֻרַ֖י אָֽתָּה׃ Jeremiah Jer 3:4 "Have you not just now called to Me, 'My Father, You are the friend of my youth? (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 3:5 ============ Jer 3:5 Will he reserve his anger for ever? will he keep it to the end? Behold, thou hast spoken and done evil things as thou couldest.(KJV) Jeremiah 3:5 Wil he keepe his anger for euer? Will he reserue it to the ende? Thus hast thou spoken, but thou doest euill, euen more and more.(Geneva) Jérémie 3:5 Gardera-t-il à toujours sa colère? La conservera-t-il à jamais? Et voici, tu as dit, tu as fait des choses criminelles, tu les as consommées.(FR) 5 ׃3 הֲיִנְטֹ֣ר לְעוֹלָ֔ם אִם־יִשְׁמֹ֖ר לָנֶ֑צַח הִנֵּ֥ה *דברתי **דִבַּ֛רְתְּ וַתַּעֲשִׂ֥י הָרָע֖וֹת וַתּוּכָֽל׃ פ Jeremiah Jer 3:5 'Will He be angry forever? Will He be indignant to the end?' Behold, you have spoken And have done evil things, And you have had your way." (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 3:6 ============ Jer 3:6 The LORD said also unto me in the days of Josiah the king, Hast thou seen that which backsliding Israel hath done? she is gone up upon every high mountain and under every green tree, and there hath played the harlot.(KJV) Jeremiah 3:6 The Lord saide also vnto me, in the daies of Iosiah the King, Hast thou seene what this rebell Israel hath done? for she hath gone vp vpon euery high mountaine, and vnder euery greene tree, and there plaied the harlot.(Geneva) Jérémie 3:6 L'Eternel me dit, au temps du roi Josias: As-tu vu ce qu'a fait l'infidèle Israël? Elle est allée sur toute montagne élevée et sous tout arbre vert, et là elle s'est prostituée.(FR) 6 ׃3 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוָ֜ה אֵלַ֗י בִּימֵי֙ יֹאשִׁיָּ֣הוּ הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ הֲֽרָאִ֔יתָ אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשְׂתָ֖ה מְשֻׁבָ֣ה יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל הֹלְכָ֨ה הִ֜יא עַל־כָּל־הַ֣ר גָּבֹ֗הַּ וְאֶל־תַּ֛חַת כָּל־עֵ֥ץ רַעֲנָ֖ן וַתִּזְנִי־שָֽׁם׃ Jeremiah Jer 3:6 Then the Lord said to me in the days of Josiah the king, "Have you seen what faithless Israel did? She went up on every high hill and under every green tree, and she was a harlot there. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 3:7 ============ Jer 3:7 And I said after she had done all these things, Turn thou unto me. But she returned not. And her treacherous sister Judah saw it.(KJV) Jeremiah 3:7 And I sayde, when shee had done all this, Turne thou vnto me: but she returned not, as her rebellious sister Iudah sawe.(Geneva) Jérémie 3:7 Je disais: Après avoir fait toutes ces choses, elle reviendra à moi. Mais elle n'est pas revenue. Et sa soeur, la perfide Juda, en a été témoin.(FR) 7 ׃3 וָאֹמַ֗ר אַחֲרֵ֨י עֲשׂוֹתָ֧הּ אֶת־כָּל־אֵ֛לֶּה אֵלַ֥י תָּשׁ֖וּב וְלֹא־שָׁ֑בָה *ותראה **וַתֵּ֛רֶא בָּגוֹדָ֥ה אֲחוֹתָ֖הּ יְהוּדָֽה׃ Jeremiah Jer 3:7 I thought, 'After she has done all these things she will return to Me'; but she did not return, and her treacherous sister Judah saw it. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 3:8 ============ Jer 3:8 And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.(KJV) Jeremiah 3:8 When I sawe, howe that by all occasions rebellious Israel had plaied the harlot, I cast her away, and gaue her a bill of diuorcement: yet her rebellious sister Iudah was not afraied, but shee went also, and plaied the harlot.(Geneva) Jérémie 3:8 Quoique j'eusse répudié l'infidèle Israël à cause de tous ses adultères, et que je lui eusse donné sa lettre de divorce, j'ai vu que la perfide Juda, sa soeur, n'a point eu de crainte, et qu'elle est allée se prostituer pareillement.(FR) 8 ׃3 וָאֵ֗רֶא כִּ֤י עַל־כָּל־אֹדוֹת֙ אֲשֶׁ֤ר נִֽאֲפָה֙ מְשֻׁבָ֣ה יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל שִׁלַּחְתִּ֕יהָ וָאֶתֵּ֛ן אֶת־סֵ֥פֶר כְּרִיתֻתֶ֖יהָ אֵלֶ֑יהָ וְלֹ֨א יָֽרְאָ֜ה בֹּֽגֵדָ֤ה יְהוּדָה֙ אֲחוֹתָ֔הּ וַתֵּ֖לֶךְ וַתִּ֥זֶן גַּם־הִֽיא׃ Jeremiah Jer 3:8 And I saw that for all the adulteries of faithless Israel, I had sent her away and given her a writ of divorce, yet her treacherous sister Judah did not fear; but she went and was a harlot also. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 3:9 ============ Jer 3:9 And it came to pass through the lightness of her whoredom, that she defiled the land, and committed adultery with stones and with stocks.(KJV) Jeremiah 3:9 So that for the lightnesse of her whoredome shee hath euen defiled the lande: for shee hath committed fornication with stones and stockes.(Geneva) Jérémie 3:9 Par sa criante impudicité Israël a souillé le pays, elle a commis un adultère avec la pierre et le bois.(FR) 9 ׃3 וְהָיָה֙ מִקֹּ֣ל זְנוּתָ֔הּ וַתֶּחֱנַ֖ף אֶת־הָאָ֑רֶץ וַתִּנְאַ֥ף אֶת־הָאֶ֖בֶן וְאֶת־הָעֵֽץ׃ Jeremiah Jer 3:9 Because of the lightness of her harlotry, she polluted the land and committed adultery with stones and trees. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 3:10 ============ Jer 3:10 And yet for all this her treacherous sister Judah hath not turned unto me with her whole heart, but feignedly, saith the LORD.(KJV) Jeremiah 3:10 Neuerthelesse for all this, her rebellious sister Iudah hath not returned vnto mee with her whole heart, but fainedly, sayth the Lord.(Geneva) Jérémie 3:10 Malgré tout cela, la perfide Juda, sa soeur, n'est pas revenue à moi de tout son coeur; c'est avec fausseté qu'elle l'a fait, dit l'Eternel.(FR) 10 ׃3 וְגַם־בְּכָל־זֹ֗את לֹא־שָׁ֨בָה אֵלַ֜י בָּגוֹדָ֧ה אֲחוֹתָ֛הּ יְהוּדָ֖ה בְּכָל־לִבָּ֑הּ כִּ֥י אִם־בְּשֶׁ֖קֶר נְאֻם־יְהוָֽה׃ פ Jeremiah Jer 3:10 Yet in spite of all this her treacherous sister Judah did not return to Me with all her heart, but rather in deception," declares the Lord. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 3:11 ============ Jer 3:11 And the LORD said unto me, The backsliding Israel hath justified herself more than treacherous Judah.(KJV) Jeremiah 3:11 And the Lord said vnto me, The rebellious Israel hath iustified her selfe more then the rebellious Iudah.(Geneva) Jérémie 3:11 L'Eternel me dit: L'infidèle Israël paraît innocente En comparaison de la perfide Juda.(FR) 11 ׃3 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֵלַ֔י צִדְּקָ֥ה נַפְשָׁ֖הּ מְשֻׁבָ֣ה יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל מִבֹּגֵדָ֖ה יְהוּדָֽה׃ Jeremiah Jer 3:11 And the Lord said to me, "Faithless Israel has proved herself more righteous than treacherous Judah. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 3:12 ============ Jer 3:12 Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the LORD; and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful, saith the LORD, and I will not keep anger for ever.(KJV) Jeremiah 3:12 Goe and crie these woordes towarde the North and say, Thou disobedient Israel, returne, sayeth the Lorde, and I will not let my wrath fall vpon you: for I am mercifull, sayeth the Lord, and I will not always keepe mine anger.(Geneva) Jérémie 3:12 Va, crie ces paroles vers le septentrion, et dis: Reviens, infidèle Israël! dit l'Eternel. Je ne jetterai pas sur vous un regard sévère; Car je suis miséricordieux, dit l'Eternel, Je ne garde pas ma colère à toujours.(FR) 12 ׃3 הָלֹ֡ךְ וְקֽ͏ָרָאתָ֩ אֶת־הַדְּבָרִ֨ים הָאֵ֜לֶּה צָפ֗וֹנָה וְ֠אָמַרְתָּ שׁ֣וּבָה מְשֻׁבָ֤ה יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ נְאֻם־יְהוָ֔ה לֽוֹא־אַפִּ֥יל פָּנַ֖י בָּכֶ֑ם כִּֽי־חָסִ֤יד אֲנִי֙ נְאֻם־יְהוָ֔ה לֹ֥א אֶטּ֖וֹר לְעוֹלָֽם׃ Jeremiah Jer 3:12 Go and proclaim these words toward the north and say, 'Return, faithless Israel, 'declares the Lord; 'I will not look upon you in anger. For I am gracious, 'declares the Lord; 'I will not be angry forever. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 3:13 ============ Jer 3:13 Only acknowledge thine iniquity, that thou hast transgressed against the LORD thy God, and hast scattered thy ways to the strangers under every green tree, and ye have not obeyed my voice, saith the LORD.(KJV) Jeremiah 3:13 But knowe thine iniquitie: for thou hast rebelled against the Lord thy God, & hast scattered thy waies to the straunge gods vnder euery greene tree, but yee woulde not obey my voyce, sayeth the Lord.(Geneva) Jérémie 3:13 Reconnais seulement ton iniquité, Reconnais que tu as été infidèle à l'Eternel, ton Dieu, Que tu as dirigé çà et là tes pas vers les dieux étrangers, Sous tout arbre vert, Et que tu n'as pas écouté ma voix, dit l'Eternel.(FR) 13 ׃3 אַ֚ךְ דְּעִ֣י עֲוֺנֵ֔ךְ כִּ֛י בַּיהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהַ֖יִךְ פָּשָׁ֑עַתְּ וַתְּפַזְּרִ֨י אֶת־דְּרָכַ֜יִךְ לַזָּרִ֗ים תַּ֚חַת כָּל־עֵ֣ץ רַעֲנָ֔ן וּבְקוֹלִ֥י לֹא־שְׁמַעְתֶּ֖ם נְאֻם־יְהֹוָֽה׃ Jeremiah Jer 3:13 'Only acknowledge your iniquity, That you have transgressed against the Lord your God And have scattered your favors to the strangers under every green tree, And you have not obeyed My voice, 'declares the Lord. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 3:14 ============ Jer 3:14 Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion:(KJV) Jeremiah 3:14 O yee disobedient children, turne againe, sayeth the Lorde, for I am your Lorde, and I will take you one of a citie, and two of a tribe and wil bring you to Zion,(Geneva) Jérémie 3:14 Revenez, enfants rebelles, dit l'Eternel; Car je suis votre maître. Je vous prendrai, un d'une ville, deux d'une famille, Et je vous ramènerai dans Sion.(FR) 14 ׃3 שׁ֣וּבוּ בָנִ֤ים שׁוֹבָבִים֙ נְאֻם־יְהוָ֔ה כִּ֥י אָנֹכִ֖י בָּעַ֣לְתִּי בָכֶ֑ם וְלָקַחְתִּ֨י אֶתְכֶ֜ם אֶחָ֣ד מֵעִ֗יר וּשְׁנַ֙יִם֙ מִמִּשְׁפָּחָ֔ה וְהֵבֵאתִ֥י אֶתְכֶ֖ם צִיּֽוֹן׃ Jeremiah Jer 3:14 'Return, O faithless sons, 'declares the Lord; 'For I am a master to you, And I will take you one from a city and two from a family, And I will bring you to Zion.'(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 3:15 ============ Jer 3:15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.(KJV) Jeremiah 3:15 And I will giue you pastours according to mine heart, which shal feede you with knowledge and vnderstanding.(Geneva) Jérémie 3:15 Je vous donnerai des bergers selon mon coeur, Et ils vous paîtront avec intelligence et avec sagesse.(FR) 15 ׃3 וְנָתַתִּ֥י לָכֶ֛ם רֹעִ֖ים כְּלִבִּ֑י וְרָע֥וּ אֶתְכֶ֖ם דֵּעָ֥ה וְהַשְׂכֵּֽיל׃ Jeremiah Jer 3:15 "Then I will give you shepherds after My own heart, who will feed you on knowledge and understanding. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 3:16 ============ Jer 3:16 And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the LORD, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the LORD: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit it; neither shall that be done any more.(KJV) Jeremiah 3:16 Moreouer, when yee be increased and multiplied in the land, in those daies, saieth the Lorde, they shall say no more, The Arke of the couenant of the Lorde: for it shall come no more to minde, neither shall they remember it, neither shal they visite it, for that shalbe no more done.(Geneva) Jérémie 3:16 Lorsque vous aurez multiplié et fructifié dans le pays, En ces jours-là, dit l'Eternel, On ne parlera plus de l'arche de l'alliance de l'Eternel; Elle ne viendra plus à la pensée; On ne se la rappellera plus, on ne s'apercevra plus de son absence, Et l'on n'en fera point une autre.(FR) 16 ׃3 וְהָיָ֡ה כִּ֣י תִרְבּוּ֩ וּפְרִיתֶ֨ם בָּאָ֜רֶץ בַּיָּמִ֤ים הָהֵ֙מָּה֙ נְאֻם־יְהוָ֔ה לֹא־יֹ֣אמְרוּ ע֗וֹד אֲרוֹן֙ בְּרִית־יְהוָ֔ה וְלֹ֥א יַעֲלֶ֖ה עַל־לֵ֑ב וְלֹ֤א יִזְכְּרוּ־בוֹ֙ וְלֹ֣א יִפְקֹ֔דוּ וְלֹ֥א יֵעָשֶׂ֖ה עֽוֹד׃ Jeremiah Jer 3:16 It shall be in those days when you are multiplied and increased in the land," declares the Lord, "they will no longer say, 'The ark of the covenant of the Lord.'And it will not come to mind, nor will they remember it, nor will they miss it, nor will it be made again. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 3:17 ============ Jer 3:17 At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart.(KJV) Jeremiah 3:17 At that time they shal cal Ierusalem, The throne of the Lord, & all the nations shall be gathered vnto it, euen to the Name of the Lorde in Ierusalem: and thence foorth they shal followe no more the hardnesse of their wicked heart.(Geneva) Jérémie 3:17 En ce temps-là, on appellera Jérusalem le trône de l'Eternel; Toutes les nations s'assembleront à Jérusalem, au nom de l'Eternel, Et elles ne suivront plus les penchants de leur mauvais coeur.(FR) 17 ׃3 בָּעֵ֣ת הַהִ֗יא יִקְרְא֤וּ לִירוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ כִּסֵּ֣א יְהוָ֔ה וְנִקְוּ֨וּ אֵלֶ֧יהָ כָֽל־הַגּוֹיִ֛ם לְשֵׁ֥ם יְהוָ֖ה לִירוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם וְלֹא־יֵלְכ֣וּ ע֔וֹד אַחֲרֵ֕י שְׁרִר֖וּת לִבָּ֥ם הָרָֽע׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 3:17 At that time they will call Jerusalem 'The Throne of the Lord, 'and all the nations will be gathered to it, to Jerusalem, for the name of the Lord; nor will they walk anymore after the stubbornness of their evil heart. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 3:18 ============ Jer 3:18 In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers.(KJV) Jeremiah 3:18 In those daies ye house of Iudah shall walke with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the lande of the North, into the lande, that I haue giuen for an inheritance vnto your fathers.(Geneva) Jérémie 3:18 En ces jours, La maison de Juda marchera avec la maison d'Israël; Elles viendront ensemble du pays du septentrion Au pays dont j'ai donné la possession à vos pères.(FR) 18 ׃3 בַּיָּמִ֣ים הָהֵ֔מָּה יֵלְכ֥וּ בֵית־יְהוּדָ֖ה עַל־בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְיָבֹ֤אוּ יַחְדָּו֙ מֵאֶ֣רֶץ צָפ֔וֹן עַל־הָאָ֕רֶץ אֲשֶׁ֥ר הִנְחַ֖לְתִּי אֶת־אֲבוֹתֵיכֶֽם׃ Jeremiah Jer 3:18 In those days the house of Judah will walk with the house of Israel, and they will come together from the land of the north to the land that I gave your fathers as an inheritance. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 3:19 ============ Jer 3:19 But I said, How shall I put thee among the children, and give thee a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the hosts of nations? and I said, Thou shalt call me, My father; and shalt not turn away from me.(KJV) Jeremiah 3:19 But I sayde, Howe did I take thee for children and giue thee a pleasant lande, euen the glorious heritage of the armies of the heathen, and saide, Thou shalt call mee, saying, My father, and shalt not turne from me?(Geneva) Jérémie 3:19 Je disais: Comment te mettrai-je parmi mes enfants, Et te donnerai-je un pays de délices, Un héritage, le plus bel ornement des nations? Je disais: Tu m'appelleras: Mon père!
