Today's Date: ======= Jeremiah 16:1 ============ Jer 16:1 The word of the LORD came also unto me, saying,(KJV) Jeremiah 16:1 The worde of the Lorde came also vnto mee, saying,(Geneva) Jérémie 16:1 La parole de l'Eternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:(FR) 1 ׃16 וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃ Jeremiah Jer 16:1 The word of the Lord also came to me saying, (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 16:2 ============ Jer 16:2 Thou shalt not take thee a wife, neither shalt thou have sons or daughters in this place.(KJV) Jeremiah 16:2 Thou shalt not take thee a wife, nor haue sonnes nor daughters in this place.(Geneva) Jérémie 16:2 Tu ne prendras point de femme, Et tu n'auras dans ce lieu ni fils ni filles.(FR) 2 ׃16 לֹֽא־תִקַּ֥ח לְךָ֖ אִשָּׁ֑ה וְלֹֽא־יִהְי֤וּ לְךָ֙ בָּנִ֣ים וּבָנ֔וֹת בַּמָּק֖וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃ Jeremiah Jer 16:2 "You shall not take a wife for yourself nor have sons or daughters in this place."(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 16:3 ============ Jer 16:3 For thus saith the LORD concerning the sons and concerning the daughters that are born in this place, and concerning their mothers that bare them, and concerning their fathers that begat them in this land;(KJV) Jeremiah 16:3 For thus sayeth the Lorde concerning the sonnes, and concerning the daughters that are borne in this place, & concerning their mothers that beare them, & concerning their fathers, that beget them in this land,(Geneva) Jérémie 16:3 Car ainsi parle l'Eternel sur les fils et les filles Qui naîtront en ce lieu, Sur leurs mères qui les auront enfantés, Et sur leurs pères qui les auront engendrés dans ce pays:(FR) 3 ׃16 כִּי־כֹ֣ה ׀ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֗ה עַל־הַבָּנִים֙ וְעַל־הַבָּנ֔וֹת הַיִּלּוֹדִ֖ים בַּמָּק֣וֹם הַזֶּ֑ה וְעַֽל־אִמֹּתָ֞ם הַיֹּלְד֣וֹת אוֹתָ֗ם וְעַל־אֲבוֹתָ֛ם הַמּוֹלִדִ֥ים אוֹתָ֖ם בָּאָ֥רֶץ הַזֹּֽאת׃ Jeremiah Jer 16:3 For thus says the Lord concerning the sons and daughters born in this place, and concerning their mothers who bear them, and their fathers who beget them in this land: (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 16:4 ============ Jer 16:4 They shall die of grievous deaths; they shall not be lamented; neither shall they be buried; but they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth: and they shall be consumed by the sword, and by famine; and their carcases shall be meat for the fowls of heaven, and for the beasts of the earth.(KJV) Jeremiah 16:4 They shal die of deathes and diseases: they shal not be lamented, neither shal they be buried, but they shalbe as dung vpon the earth, and they shalbe consumed by the sword, & by famine, and their carkeises shall be meate for the foules of the heauen, and for the beasts of the earth.(Geneva) Jérémie 16:4 Ils mourront consumés par la maladie; On ne leur donnera ni larmes ni sépulture; Ils seront comme du fumier sur la terre; Ils périront par l'épée et par la famine; Et leurs cadavres serviront de pâture Aux oiseaux du ciel et aux bêtes de la terre.(FR) 4 ׃16 מְמוֹתֵ֨י תַחֲלֻאִ֜ים יָמֻ֗תוּ לֹ֤א יִסָּֽפְדוּ֙ וְלֹ֣א יִקָּבֵ֔רוּ לְדֹ֛מֶן עַל־פְּנֵ֥י הָאֲדָמָ֖ה יִֽהְי֑וּ וּבַחֶ֤רֶב וּבָֽרָעָב֙ יִכְל֔וּ וְהָיְתָ֤ה נִבְלָתָם֙ לְמַאֲכָ֔ל לְע֥וֹף הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם וּלְבֶהֱמַ֥ת הָאָֽרֶץ׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 16:4 "They will die of deadly diseases, they will not be lamented or buried; they will be as dung on the surface of the ground and come to an end by sword and famine, and their carcasses will become food for the birds of the sky and for the beasts of the earth."(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 16:5 ============ Jer 16:5 For thus saith the LORD, Enter not into the house of mourning, neither go to lament nor bemoan them: for I have taken away my peace from this people, saith the LORD, even lovingkindness and mercies.(KJV) Jeremiah 16:5 For thus saith the Lord, Enter not into the house of mourning, neither goe to lament, nor be moued for the: for I haue taken my peace, fro this people, saith the Lord, euen mercy & compassion.(Geneva) Jérémie 16:5 Car ainsi parle l'Eternel: N'entre pas dans une maison de deuil, N'y va pas pleurer, te lamenter avec eux; Car j'ai retiré à ce peuple ma paix, dit l'Eternel, Ma bonté et ma miséricorde.(FR) 5 ׃16 כִּֽי־כֹ֣ה ׀ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֗ה אַל־תָּבוֹא֙ בֵּ֣ית מַרְזֵ֔חַ וְאַל־תֵּלֵ֣ךְ לִסְפּ֔וֹד וְאַל־תָּנֹ֖ד לָהֶ֑ם כִּֽי־אָסַ֨פְתִּי אֶת־שְׁלוֹמִ֜י מֵאֵ֨ת הָעָ֤ם הַזֶּה֙ נְאֻם־יְהוָ֔ה אֶת־הַחֶ֖סֶד וְאֶת־הָֽרַחֲמִֽים׃ Jeremiah Jer 16:5 For thus says the Lord, "Do not enter a house of mourning, or go to lament or to console them; for I have withdrawn My peace from this people," declares the Lord," My lovingkindness and compassion. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 16:6 ============ Jer 16:6 Both the great and the small shall die in this land: they shall not be buried, neither shall men lament for them, nor cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them:(KJV) Jeremiah 16:6 Both the great, and the smal shal die in this land: they shall not be buried, neither shall men lament for them nor cut themselues, nor make themselues balde for them.(Geneva) Jérémie 16:6 Grands et petits mourront dans ce pays; On ne leur donnera point de sépulture; On ne les pleurera point, On ne se fera point d'incision, Et l'on ne se rasera pas pour eux.(FR) 6 ׃16 וּמֵ֨תוּ גְדֹלִ֧ים וּקְטַנִּ֛ים בָּאָ֥רֶץ הַזֹּ֖את לֹ֣א יִקָּבֵ֑רוּ וְלֹֽא־יִסְפְּד֣וּ לָהֶ֔ם וְלֹ֣א יִתְגֹּדַ֔ד וְלֹ֥א יִקָּרֵ֖חַ לָהֶֽם׃ Jeremiah Jer 16:6 Both great men and small will die in this land; they will not be buried, they will not be lamented, nor will anyone gash himself or shave his head for them. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 16:7 ============ Jer 16:7 Neither shall men tear themselves for them in mourning, to comfort them for the dead; neither shall men give them the cup of consolation to drink for their father or for their mother.(KJV) Jeremiah 16:7 They shal not stretch out the hands for the in the mourning to comfort them for the dead, neither shal they giue them the cup of consolation to drinke for their father or for their mother.(Geneva) Jérémie 16:7 On ne rompra pas le pain dans le deuil Pour consoler quelqu'un au sujet d'un mort, Et l'on n'offrira pas la coupe de consolation Pour un père ou pour une mère.(FR) 7 ׃16 וְלֹֽא־יִפְרְס֥וּ לָהֶ֛ם עַל־אֵ֖בֶל לְנַחֲמ֣וֹ עַל־מֵ֑ת וְלֹֽא־יַשְׁק֤וּ אוֹתָם֙ כּ֣וֹס תַּנְחוּמִ֔ים עַל־אָבִ֖יו וְעַל־אִמּֽוֹ׃ Jeremiah Jer 16:7 Men will not break bread in mourning for them, to comfort anyone for the dead, nor give them a cup of consolation to drink for anyone's father or mother. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 16:8 ============ Jer 16:8 Thou shalt not also go into the house of feasting, to sit with them to eat and to drink.(KJV) Jeremiah 16:8 Thou shalt not also goe into the house of feasting to sit with them to eate and to drinke.(Geneva) Jérémie 16:8 N'entre pas non plus dans une maison de festin, Pour t'asseoir avec eux, Pour manger et pour boire.(FR) 8 ׃16 וּבֵית־מִשְׁתֶּ֥ה לֹא־תָב֖וֹא לָשֶׁ֣בֶת אוֹתָ֑ם לֶאֱכֹ֖ל וְלִשְׁתּֽוֹת׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 16:8 Moreover you shall not go into a house of feasting to sit with them to eat and drink."(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 16:9 ============ Jer 16:9 For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will cause to cease out of this place in your eyes, and in your days, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride.(KJV) Jeremiah 16:9 For thus sayth the Lord of hostes, the God of Israel, Beholde, I wil cause to cease out of this place in your eyes, euen in your dayes the voyce of myrth, and the voyce of gladnes, the voyce of the bridegrome and the voyce of the bride.(Geneva) Jérémie 16:9 Car ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël: Voici, je ferai cesser dans ce lieu, sous vos yeux et de vos jours, Les cris de réjouissance et les cris d'allégresse, Les chants du fiancé et les chants de la fiancée.(FR) 9 ׃16 כִּי֩ כֹ֨ה אָמַ֜ר יְהוָ֤ה צְבָאוֹת֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל הִנְנִ֨י מַשְׁבִּ֜ית מִן־הַמָּק֥וֹם הַזֶּ֛ה לְעֵינֵיכֶ֖ם וּבִֽימֵיכֶ֑ם ק֤וֹל שָׂשׂוֹן֙ וְק֣וֹל שִׂמְחָ֔ה ק֥וֹל חָתָ֖ן וְק֥וֹל כַּלָּֽה׃ Jeremiah Jer 16:9 For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel." Behold, I am going to eliminate from this place, before your eyes and in your time, the voice of rejoicing and the voice of gladness, the voice of the groom and the voice of the bride. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 16:10 ============ Jer 16:10 And it shall come to pass, when thou shalt shew this people all these words, and they shall say unto thee, Wherefore hath the LORD pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?(KJV) Jeremiah 16:10 And when thou shalt shewe this people all these wordes, & they shal say vnto thee, Wherefore hath the Lorde pronounced all this great plague against vs? or what is our iniquitie? and what is our sinne that we haue committed against the Lord our God?(Geneva) Jérémie 16:10 Lorsque tu annonceras à ce peuple toutes ces choses, Ils te diront: Pourquoi l'Eternel nous menace-t-il de tous ces grands malheurs? Quelle est notre iniquité? Quel péché avons-nous commis contre l'Eternel, notre Dieu?(FR) 10 ׃16 וְהָיָ֗ה כִּ֤י תַגִּיד֙ לָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֔ה אֵ֥ת כָּל־הַדְּבָרִ֖ים הָאֵ֑לֶּה וְאָמְר֣וּ אֵלֶ֗יךָ עַל־מֶה֩ דִבֶּ֨ר יְהוָ֤ה עָלֵ֙ינוּ֙ אֵ֣ת כָּל־הָרָעָ֤ה הַגְּדוֹלָה֙ הַזֹּ֔את וּמֶ֤ה עֲוֺנֵ֙נוּ֙ וּמֶ֣ה חַטָּאתֵ֔נוּ אֲשֶׁ֥ר חָטָ֖אנוּ לַֽיהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵֽינוּ׃ Jeremiah Jer 16:10 "Now when you tell this people all these words, they will say to you, 'For what reason has the Lord declared all this great calamity against us? And what is our iniquity, or what is our sin which we have committed against the Lord our God?'(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 16:11 ============ Jer 16:11 Then shalt thou say unto them, Because your fathers have forsaken me, saith the LORD, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have worshipped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law;(KJV) Jeremiah 16:11 Then shalt thou say vnto them, Because your fathers haue forsaken me, sayth the Lord, & haue walked after other gods, and haue serued them, and worshipped them, & haue forsaken me, and haue not kept my Law,(Geneva) Jérémie 16:11 Alors tu leur répondras: Vos pères m'ont abandonné, dit l'Eternel, Ils sont allés après d'autres dieux, Ils les ont servis et se sont prosternés devant eux; Ils m'ont abandonné, et n'ont point observé ma loi.(FR) 11 ׃16 וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵיהֶ֗ם עַל֩ אֲשֶׁר־עָזְב֨וּ אֲבוֹתֵיכֶ֤ם אוֹתִי֙ נְאֻם־יְהוָ֔ה וַיֵּלְכ֗וּ אַֽחֲרֵי֙ אֱלֹהִ֣ים אֲחֵרִ֔ים וַיַּעַבְד֖וּם וַיִּשְׁתַּחֲו֣וּ לָהֶ֑ם וְאֹתִ֣י עָזָ֔בוּ וְאֶת־תּוֹרָתִ֖י לֹ֥א שָׁמָֽרוּ׃ Jeremiah Jer 16:11 Then you are to say to them, 'It is because your forefathers have forsaken Me,' declares the Lord, 'and have followed other gods and served them and bowed down to them; but Me they have forsaken and have not kept My law. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 16:12 ============ Jer 16:12 And ye have done worse than your fathers; for, behold, ye walk every one after the imagination of his evil heart, that they may not hearken unto me:(KJV) Jeremiah 16:12 ( And ye haue done worse then your fathers: for beholde, you walke euery one after the stubbernesse of his wicked heart, and will not heare me)(Geneva) Jérémie 16:12 Et vous, vous avez fait le mal plus encore que vos pères; Et voici, vous suivez chacun les penchants de votre mauvais coeur, Pour ne point m'écouter.(FR) 12 ׃16 וְאַתֶּ֛ם הֲרֵעֹתֶ֥ם לַעֲשׂ֖וֹת מֵאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֑ם וְהִנְּכֶ֣ם הֹלְכִ֗ים אִ֚ישׁ אַֽחֲרֵי֙ שְׁרִר֣וּת לִבּֽוֹ־הָרָ֔ע לְבִלְתִּ֖י שְׁמֹ֥עַ אֵלָֽי׃ Jeremiah Jer 16:12 You too have done evil, even more than your forefathers; for behold, you are each one walking according to the stubbornness of his own evil heart, without listening to Me. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 16:13 ============ Jer 16:13 Therefore will I cast you out of this land into a land that ye know not, neither ye nor your fathers; and there shall ye serve other gods day and night; where I will not shew you favour.(KJV) Jeremiah 16:13 Therefore will I driue you out of this land into a lande that ye knowe not, neither you, nor your fathers, & there shal ye serue other gods day and night: for I will shew you no grace.(Geneva) Jérémie 16:13 Je vous transporterai de ce pays Dans un pays que vous n'avez point connu, Ni vous, ni vos pères; Et là, vous servirez les autres dieux jour et nuit, Car je ne vous accorderai point de grâce.(FR) 13 ׃16 וְהֵטַלְתִּ֣י אֶתְכֶ֗ם מֵעַל֙ הָאָ֣רֶץ הַזֹּ֔את עַל־הָאָ֕רֶץ אֲשֶׁר֙ לֹ֣א יְדַעְתֶּ֔ם אַתֶּ֖ם וַאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֑ם וַעֲבַדְתֶּם־שָׁ֞ם אֶת־אֱלֹהִ֤ים אֲחֵרִים֙ יוֹמָ֣ם וָלַ֔יְלָה אֲשֶׁ֛ר לֹֽא־אֶתֵּ֥ן לָכֶ֖ם חֲנִינָֽה׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 16:13 So I will hurl you out of this land into the land which you have not known, neither you nor your fathers; and there you will serve other gods day and night, for I will grant you no favor.'(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 16:14 ============ Jer 16:14 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be said, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;(KJV) Jeremiah 16:14 Behold therfore, saith the Lord, the dayes come that it shal no more be sayde, The Lord liueth, which brought vp the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt,(Geneva) Jérémie 16:14 C'est pourquoi voici, les jours viennent, dit l'Eternel, Où l'on ne dira plus: L'Eternel est vivant, Lui qui a fait monter du pays d'Egypte les enfants d'Israël!(FR) 14 ׃16 לָכֵ֛ן הִנֵּֽה־יָמִ֥ים בָּאִ֖ים נְאֻם־יְהוָ֑ה וְלֹֽא־יֵאָמֵ֥ר עוֹד֙ חַי־יְהוָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֧ר הֶעֱלָ֛ה אֶת־בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל מֵאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃ Jeremiah Jer 16:14 "Therefore behold, days are coming," declares the Lord, "when it will no longer be said, 'As the Lord lives, who brought up the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt, '(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 16:15 ============ Jer 16:15 But, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers.(KJV) Jeremiah 16:15 But the Lorde liueth, that brought vp the children of Israel from the lande of the North, and from all the landes where hee had scattered them, and I wil bring them againe into their land that I gaue vnto their fathers.(Geneva) Jérémie 16:15 Mais on dira: L'Eternel est vivant, Lui qui a fait monter les enfants d'Israël du pays du septentrion Et de tous les pays où il les avait chassés! Je les ramènerai dans leur pays, Que j'avais donné à leurs pères.(FR) 15 ׃16 כִּ֣י אִם־חַי־יְהוָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר הֶעֱלָ֜ה אֶת־בְּנֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ מֵאֶ֣רֶץ צָפ֔וֹן וּמִכֹּל֙ הָֽאֲרָצ֔וֹת אֲשֶׁ֥ר הִדִּיחָ֖ם שָׁ֑מָּה וַהֲשִֽׁבֹתִים֙ עַל־אַדְמָתָ֔ם אֲשֶׁ֥ר נָתַ֖תִּי לַאֲבוֹתָֽם׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 16:15 but, 'As the Lord lives, who brought up the sons of Israel from the land of the north and from all the countries where He had banished them.'For I will restore them to their own land which I gave to their fathers. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 16:16 ============ Jer 16:16 Behold, I will send for many fishers, saith the LORD, and they shall fish them; and after will I send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks.(KJV) Jeremiah 16:16 Behold, sayth the Lord, I wil send out many fishers, and they shal fish them, and after, will I send out many hunters, and they shal hunt them from euery mountaine and from euery hill, and out of the caues of the rockes.(Geneva) Jérémie 16:16 Voici, j'envoie une multitude de pêcheurs, dit l'Eternel, et ils les pêcheront; Et après cela j'enverrai une multitude de chasseurs, et ils les chasseront De toutes les montagnes et de toutes les collines, Et des fentes des rochers.(FR) 16 ׃16 הִנְנִ֨י שֹׁלֵ֜חַ *לדוגים **לְדַיָּגִ֥ים רַבִּ֛ים נְאֻם־יְהוָ֖ה וְדִיג֑וּם וְאַֽחֲרֵי־כֵ֗ן אֶשְׁלַח֙ לְרַבִּ֣ים צַיָּדִ֔ים וְצָד֞וּם מֵעַ֤ל כָּל־הַר֙ וּמֵעַ֣ל כָּל־גִּבְעָ֔ה וּמִנְּקִיקֵ֖י הַסְּלָעִֽים׃ Jeremiah Jer 16:16 "Behold, I am going to send for many fishermen," declares the Lord,"and they will fish for them; and afterwards I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them from every mountain and every hill and from the clefts of the rocks. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 16:17 ============ Jer 16:17 For mine eyes are upon all their ways: they are not hid from my face, neither is their iniquity hid from mine eyes.(KJV) Jeremiah 16:17 For mine eyes are vpon al their wayes: they are not hid from my face, neither is their iniquitie hid from mine eyes.(Geneva) Jérémie 16:17 Car mes yeux sont attentifs à toutes leurs voies, Elles ne sont point cachées devant ma face, Et leur iniquité ne se dérobe point à mes regards.(FR) 17 ׃16 כִּ֤י עֵינַי֙ עַל־כָּל־דַּרְכֵיהֶ֔ם לֹ֥א נִסְתְּר֖וּ מִלְּפָנָ֑י וְלֹֽא־נִצְפַּ֥ן עֲוֺנָ֖ם מִנֶּ֥גֶד עֵינָֽי׃ Jeremiah Jer 16:17 For My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from My face, nor is their iniquity concealed from My eyes. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 16:18 ============ Jer 16:18 And first I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double; because they have defiled my land, they have filled mine inheritance with the carcases of their detestable and abominable things.(KJV) Jeremiah 16:18 And first I will recompense their iniquitie and their sinne double, because they haue defiled my lande, and haue filled mine inheritance with their filthie carions and their abominations.(Geneva) Jérémie 16:18 Je leur donnerai d'abord le double salaire de leur iniquité et de leur péché, Parce qu'ils ont profané mon pays, Parce qu'ils ont rempli mon héritage Des cadavres de leurs idoles et de leurs abominations.(FR) 18 ׃16 וְשִׁלַּמְתִּ֣י רִֽאשׁוֹנָ֗ה מִשְׁנֵ֤ה עֲוֺנָם֙ וְחַטָּאתָ֔ם עַ֖ל חַלְּלָ֣ם אֶת־אַרְצִ֑י בְּנִבְלַ֤ת שִׁקּֽוּצֵיהֶם֙ וְתוֹעֲב֣וֹתֵיהֶ֔ם מָלְא֖וּ אֶת־נַחֲלָתִֽי׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 16:18 I will first doubly repay their iniquity and their sin, because they have polluted My land; they have filled My inheritance with the carcasses of their detestable idols and with their abominations."(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 16:19 ============ Jer 16:19 O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.(KJV) Jeremiah 16:19 O Lord, thou art my force, & my strength & my refuge in the day of affliction: the Gentiles shal come vnto thee from the ends of the world, & shal say, Surely our fathers haue inherited lies, and vanitie, wherein was no profite.(Geneva) Jérémie 16:19 Eternel, ma force et mon appui, mon refuge au jour de la détresse!
