(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 13:3 ============ Jer 13:3 And the word of the LORD came unto me the second time, saying,(KJV) Jeremiah 13:3 And the worde of the Lorde came vnto me the second time, saying,(Geneva) Jérémie 13:3 La parole de l'Eternel me fut adressée une seconde fois, en ces mots:(FR) 3 ׃13 וַיְהִ֧י דְבַר־יְהוָ֛ה אֵלַ֖י שֵׁנִ֥ית לֵאמֹֽר׃ Jeremiah Jer 13:3 Then the word of the Lord came to me a second time, saying, (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 13:4 ============ Jer 13:4 Take the girdle that thou hast got, which is upon thy loins, and arise, go to Euphrates, and hide it there in a hole of the rock.(KJV) Jeremiah 13:4 Take the girdle that thou hast bought, which is vpon thy loynes, and arise, goe towarde Perath, and hide it there in the cleft of the rocke.(Geneva) Jérémie 13:4 Prends la ceinture que tu as achetée, et qui est sur tes reins; lève-toi, va vers l'Euphrate, et là, cache-la dans la fente d'un rocher.(FR) 4 ׃13 קַ֧ח אֶת־הָאֵז֛וֹר אֲשֶׁ֥ר קָנִ֖יתָ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עַל־מָתְנֶ֑יךָ וְקוּם֙ לֵ֣ךְ פְּרָ֔תָה וְטָמְנֵ֥הוּ שָׁ֖ם בִּנְקִ֥יק הַסָּֽלַע׃ Jeremiah Jer 13:4 "Take the waistband that you have bought, which is around your waist, and arise, go to the Euphrates and hide it there in a crevice of the rock."(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 13:5 ============ Jer 13:5 So I went, and hid it by Euphrates, as the LORD commanded me.(KJV) Jeremiah 13:5 So I went, and hid it by Perath, as the Lord had commanded me.(Geneva) Jérémie 13:5 J'allai, et je la cachai près de l'Euphrate, comme l'Eternel me l'avait ordonné.(FR) 5 ׃13 וָאֵלֵ֕ךְ וָאֶטְמְנֵ֖הוּ בִּפְרָ֑ת כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר צִוָּ֥ה יְהוָ֖ה אוֹתִֽי׃ Jeremiah Jer 13:5 So I went and hid it by the Euphrates, as the Lord had commanded me. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 13:6 ============ Jer 13:6 And it came to pass after many days, that the LORD said unto me, Arise, go to Euphrates, and take the girdle from thence, which I commanded thee to hide there.(KJV) Jeremiah 13:6 And after many dayes, the Lorde sayde vnto mee, Arise, goe towarde Perath, and take the girdle from thence, which I commaunded thee to hide there.(Geneva) Jérémie 13:6 Plusieurs jours après, l'Eternel me dit: Lève-toi, va vers l'Euphrate, et là, prends la ceinture que je t'avais ordonné d'y cacher.(FR) 6 ׃13 וַיְהִ֕י מִקֵּ֖ץ יָמִ֣ים רַבִּ֑ים וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוָ֜ה אֵלַ֗י ק֚וּם לֵ֣ךְ פְּרָ֔תָה וְקַ֤ח מִשָּׁם֙ אֶת־הָ֣אֵז֔וֹר אֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוִּיתִ֖יךָ לְטָמְנוֹ־שָֽׁם׃ Jeremiah Jer 13:6 After many days the Lord said to me, "Arise, go to the Euphrates and take from there the waistband which I commanded you to hide there."(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 13:7 ============ Jer 13:7 Then I went to Euphrates, and digged, and took the girdle from the place where I had hid it: and, behold, the girdle was marred, it was profitable for nothing.(KJV) Jeremiah 13:7 Then went I to Perath, and digged, & tooke the girdle from the place where I had hid it, and behold, the girdle was corrupt, and was profitable for nothing.(Geneva) Jérémie 13:7 J'allai vers l'Euphrate, je fouillai, et je pris la ceinture dans le lieu où je l'avais cachée; mais voici, la ceinture était gâtée, elle n'était plus bonne à rien.(FR) 7 ׃13 וָאֵלֵ֣ךְ פְּרָ֔תָה וָאֶחְפֹּ֗ר וָֽאֶקַּח֙ אֶת־הָ֣אֵז֔וֹר מִן־הַמָּק֖וֹם אֲשֶׁר־טְמַנְתִּ֣יו שָׁ֑מָּה וְהִנֵּה֙ נִשְׁחַ֣ת הָאֵז֔וֹר לֹ֥א יִצְלַ֖ח לַכֹּֽל׃ פ Jeremiah Jer 13:7 Then I went to the Euphrates and dug, and I took the waistband from the place where I had hidden it; and lo, the waistband was ruined, it was totally worthless. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 13:8 ============ Jer 13:8 Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,(KJV) Jeremiah 13:8 Then the word of the Lord came vnto me, saying,(Geneva) Jérémie 13:8 La parole de l'Eternel me fut adressée, en ces mots:(FR) 8 ׃13 וַיְהִ֥י דְבַר־יְהוָ֖ה אֵלַ֥י לֵאמֹֽר׃ Jeremiah Jer 13:8 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying, (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 13:9 ============ Jer 13:9 Thus saith the LORD, After this manner will I mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.(KJV) Jeremiah 13:9 Thus sayth the Lord, After this maner will I destroy the pride of Iudah, and the great pride of Ierusalem.(Geneva) Jérémie 13:9 Ainsi parle l'Eternel: C'est ainsi que je détruirai l'orgueil de Juda Et l'orgueil immense de Jérusalem.(FR) 9 ׃13 כֹּ֖ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֑ה כָּ֠כָה אַשְׁחִ֞ית אֶת־גְּא֧וֹן יְהוּדָ֛ה וְאֶת־גְּא֥וֹן יְרוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם הָרָֽב׃ Jeremiah Jer 13:9 "Thus says the Lord, 'Just so will I destroy the pride of Judah and the great pride of Jerusalem. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 13:10 ============ Jer 13:10 This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other gods, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing.(KJV) Jeremiah 13:10 This wicked people haue refused to heare my word, and walke after ye stubbernesse of their owne heart, and walke after other gods to serue them, and to worship them: therefore they shalbe as this girdle, which is profitable to nothing.(Geneva) Jérémie 13:10 Ce méchant peuple, qui refuse d'écouter mes paroles, Qui suit les penchants de son coeur, Et qui va après d'autres dieux, Pour les servir et se prosterner devant eux, Qu'il devienne comme cette ceinture, Qui n'est plus bonne à rien!(FR) 10 ׃13 הָעָם֩ הַזֶּ֨ה הָרָ֜ע הַֽמֵּאֲנִ֣ים ׀ לִשְׁמ֣וֹעַ אֶת־דְּבָרַ֗י הַהֹֽלְכִים֙ בִּשְׁרִר֣וּת לִבָּ֔ם וַיֵּלְכ֗וּ אַֽחֲרֵי֙ אֱלֹהִ֣ים אֲחֵרִ֔ים לְעָבְדָ֖ם וּלְהִשְׁתַּחֲוֺ֣ת לָהֶ֑ם וִיהִי֙ כָּאֵז֣וֹר הַזֶּ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹא־יִצְלַ֖ח לַכֹּֽל׃ Jeremiah Jer 13:10 This wicked people, who refuse to listen to My words, who walk in the stubbornness of their hearts and have gone after other gods to serve them and to bow down to them, let them be just like this waistband which is totally worthless. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 13:11 ============ Jer 13:11 For as the girdle cleaveth to the loins of a man, so have I caused to cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, saith the LORD; that they might be unto me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear.(KJV) Jeremiah 13:11 For as the girdle cleaueth to the loynes of a man, so haue I tied to me the whole house of Israel, and the whole house of Iudah, saith the Lorde, that they might bee my people: that they might haue a name and prayse, and glory, but they would not heare.(Geneva) Jérémie 13:11 Car comme on attache la ceinture aux reins d'un homme, Ainsi je m'étais attaché toute la maison d'Israël Et toute la maison de Juda, dit l'Eternel, Afin qu'elles fussent mon peuple, Mon nom, ma louange, et ma gloire. Mais ils ne m'ont point écouté.(FR) 11 ׃13 כִּ֡י כַּאֲשֶׁר֩ יִדְבַּ֨ק הָאֵז֜וֹר אֶל־מָתְנֵי־אִ֗ישׁ כֵּ֣ן הִדְבַּ֣קְתִּי אֵ֠לַי אֶת־כָּל־בֵּ֨ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל וְאֶת־כָּל־בֵּ֤ית יְהוּדָה֙ נְאֻם־יְהוָ֔ה לִֽהְי֥וֹת לִי֙ לְעָ֔ם וּלְשֵׁ֥ם וְלִתְהִלָּ֖ה וּלְתִפְאָ֑רֶת וְלֹ֖א שָׁמֵֽעוּ׃ Jeremiah Jer 13:11 For as the waistband clings to the waist of a man, so I made the whole household of Israel and the whole household of Judah cling to Me,' declares the Lord, 'that they might be for Me a people, for renown, for praise and for glory; but they did not listen.'(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 13:12 ============ Jer 13:12 Therefore thou shalt speak unto them this word; Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Every bottle shall be filled with wine: and they shall say unto thee, Do we not certainly know that every bottle shall be filled with wine?(KJV) Jeremiah 13:12 Therefore thou shalt saye vnto them this word, Thus sayth the Lorde God of Israel, Euery bottell shalbe filled with wine, and they shal say vnto thee, Doe we not knowe that euery bottell shalbe filled with wine?(Geneva) Jérémie 13:12 Tu leur diras cette parole: Ainsi parle l'Eternel, le Dieu d'Israël: Tous les vases seront remplis de vin. Et ils te diront: Ne savons-nous pas Que tous les vases seront remplis de vin?(FR) 12 ׃13 וְאָמַרְתָּ֨ אֲלֵיהֶ֜ם אֶת־הַדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֗ה ס כֹּֽה־אָמַ֤ר יְהוָה֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל כָּל־נֵ֖בֶל יִמָּ֣לֵא יָ֑יִן וְאָמְר֣וּ אֵלֶ֔יךָ הֲיָדֹ֙עַ֙ לֹ֣א נֵדַ֔ע כִּ֥י כָל־נֵ֖בֶל יִמָּ֥לֵא יָֽיִן׃ Jeremiah Jer 13:12 "Therefore you are to speak this word to them, 'Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel," Every jug is to be filled with wine."' And when they say to you, 'Do we not very well know that every jug is to be filled with wine?'(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 13:13 ============ Jer 13:13 Then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, even the kings that sit upon David's throne, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with drunkenness.(KJV) Jeremiah 13:13 Then shalt thou say vnto them, Thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, euen the Kings that sit vpon the throne of Dauid, and the Priestes and the Prophets and all the inhabitantes of Ierusalem with drunkennesse.(Geneva) Jérémie 13:13 Alors dis-leur: Ainsi parle l'Eternel: Voici, je remplirai tous les habitants de ce pays, Les rois qui sont assis sur le trône de David, Les sacrificateurs, les prophètes, et tous les habitants de Jérusalem, Je les remplirai d'ivresse.(FR) 13 ׃13 וְאָמַרְתָּ֨ אֲלֵיהֶ֜ם כֹּֽה־אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֗ה הִנְנִ֣י מְמַלֵּ֣א אֶת־כָּל־יֹשְׁבֵ֣י הָאָ֪רֶץ הַזֹּ֟את וְאֶת־הַמְּלָכִ֣ים הַיֹּשְׁבִים֩ לְדָוִ֨ד עַל־כִּסְא֜וֹ וְאֶת־הַכֹּהֲנִ֣ים וְאֶת־הַנְּבִיאִ֗ים וְאֵ֛ת כָּל־יֹשְׁבֵ֥י יְרוּשָׁלָ֖͏ִם שִׁכָּרֽוֹן׃ Jeremiah Jer 13:13 then say to them, 'Thus says the Lord, "Behold I am about to fill all the inhabitants of this land - the kings that sit for David on his throne, the priests, the prophets and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem - with drunkenness! (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 13:16 ============ Jer 13:16 Give glory to the LORD your God, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while ye look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness.(KJV) Jeremiah 13:16 Giue glory to the Lorde your God before he bring darknes, and or euer your feete stumble in the darke mountaines, and whiles you look for light, he turne it into the shadowe of death and make it as darkenesse.(Geneva) Jérémie 13:16 Rendez gloire à l'Eternel, votre Dieu, Avant qu'il fasse venir les ténèbres, Avant que vos pieds heurtent contre les montagnes de la nuit; Vous attendrez la lumière, Et il la changera en ombre de la mort, Il la réduira en obscurité profonde.(FR) 16 ׃13 תְּנוּ֩ לַיהוָ֨ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֤ם כָּבוֹד֙ בְּטֶ֣רֶם יַחְשִׁ֔ךְ וּבְטֶ֛רֶם יִֽתְנַגְּפ֥וּ רַגְלֵיכֶ֖ם עַל־הָ֣רֵי נָ֑שֶׁף וְקִוִּיתֶ֤ם לְאוֹר֙ וְשָׂמָ֣הּ לְצַלְמָ֔וֶת *ישית **וְשִׁ֖ית לַעֲרָפֶֽל׃ Jeremiah Jer 13:16 Give glory to the Lord your God, Before He brings darkness And before your feet stumble On the dusky mountains, And while you are hoping for light He makes it into deep darkness, And turns it into gloom. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 13:17 ============ Jer 13:17 But if ye will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret places for your pride; and mine eye shall weep sore, and run down with tears, because the LORD's flock is carried away captive.(KJV) Jeremiah 13:17 But if ye will not heare this, my soule shall weepe in secrete for your pride, and mine eye shall weepe and drop downe teares, because the Lords flocke is caried away captiue.(Geneva) Jérémie 13:17 Si vous n'écoutez pas, Je pleurerai en secret, à cause de votre orgueil; Mes yeux fondront en larmes, Parce que le troupeau de l'Eternel sera emmené captif.(FR) 17 ׃13 וְאִם֙ לֹ֣א תִשְׁמָע֔וּהָ בְּמִסְתָּרִ֥ים תִּבְכֶּֽה־נַפְשִׁ֖י מִפְּנֵ֣י גֵוָ֑ה וְדָמֹ֨עַ תִּדְמַ֜ע וְתֵרַ֤ד עֵינִי֙ דִּמְעָ֔ה כִּ֥י נִשְׁבָּ֖ה עֵ֥דֶר יְהוָֽה׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 13:17 But if you will not listen to it, My soul will sob in secret for such pride; And my eyes will bitterly weep And flow down with tears, Because the flock of the Lord has been taken captive. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 13:18 ============ Jer 13:18 Say unto the king and to the queen, Humble yourselves, sit down: for your principalities shall come down, even the crown of your glory.(KJV) Jeremiah 13:18 Say vnto the King and to the Queene, Humble yourselues, sit downe, for the crowne of your glorye shall come downe from your heads.(Geneva) Jérémie 13:18 Dis au roi et à la reine: Asseyez-vous à terre! Où est le troupeau qui t'avait été donné, Le troupeau qui faisait ta gloire?(FR) 20 ׃13 *שאי **שְׂא֤וּ עֵֽינֵיכֶם֙ *וראי **וּרְא֔וּ הַבָּאִ֖ים מִצָּפ֑וֹן אַיֵּ֗ה הָעֵ֙דֶר֙ נִתַּן־לָ֔ךְ צֹ֖אן תִּפְאַרְתֵּֽךְ׃ Jeremiah Jer 13:20 "Lift up your eyes and see Those coming from the north. Where is the flock that was given you, Your beautiful sheep? (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 13:21 ============ Jer 13:21 What wilt thou say when he shall punish thee? for thou hast taught them to be captains, and as chief over thee: shall not sorrows take thee, as a woman in travail?(KJV) Jeremiah 13:21 What wilt thou saye, when hee shall visite thee? (for thou hast taught them to be captaines and as chiefe ouer thee) shall not sorow take thee as a woman in trauaile?(Geneva) Jérémie 13:21 Que diras-tu de ce qu'il te châtie? Les douleurs ne te saisiront-elles pas, Comme elles saisissent une femme en travail?(FR) 21 ׃13 מַה־תֹּֽאמְרִי֙ כִּֽי־יִפְקֹ֣ד עָלַ֔יִךְ וְ֠אַתְּ לִמַּ֨דְתְּ אֹתָ֥ם עָלַ֛יִךְ אַלֻּפִ֖ים לְרֹ֑אשׁ הֲל֤וֹא חֲבָלִים֙ יֹאחֱז֔וּךְ כְּמ֖וֹ אֵ֥שֶׁת לֵדָֽה׃ Jeremiah Jer 13:21 "What will you say when He appoints over you - And you yourself had taught them - Former companions to be head over you? Will not pangs take hold of you Like a woman in childbirth? (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 13:22 ============ Jer 13:22 And if thou say in thine heart, Wherefore come these things upon me? For the greatness of thine iniquity are thy skirts discovered, and thy heels made bare.(KJV) Jeremiah 13:22 And if thou say in thine heart, Wherefore come these things vpon me? For the multitude of thine iniquities are thy skirts discouered and thy heeles made bare.(Geneva) Jérémie 13:22 Si tu dis en ton coeur: Pourquoi cela m'arrive-t-il?
