Today's Date: ======= Jeremiah 35:1 ============ Jer 35:1 The word which came unto Jeremiah from the LORD in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, saying,(KJV) Jeremiah 35:1 The worde which came vnto Ieremiah from the Lorde, in the dayes of Iehoiakim the sonne of Iosiah King of Iudah, saying,(Geneva) Jérémie 35:1 La parole fut adressée à Jérémie de la part de l'Eternel, au temps de Jojakim, fils de Josias, roi de Juda, en ces mots:(FR) 1 ׃35 הַדָּבָ֛ר אֲשֶׁר־הָיָ֥ה אֶֽל־יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ מֵאֵ֣ת יְהוָ֑ה בִּימֵ֨י יְהוֹיָקִ֧ים בֶּן־יֹאשִׁיָּ֛הוּ מֶ֥לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֖ה לֵאמֹֽר׃ Jeremiah Jer 35:1 The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, saying, (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 35:2 ============ Jer 35:2 Go unto the house of the Rechabites, and speak unto them, and bring them into the house of the LORD, into one of the chambers, and give them wine to drink.(KJV) Jeremiah 35:2 Go vnto the house of the Rechabites, and speake vnto them, and bring them into the house of the Lorde into one of the chambers, and giue them wine to drinke.(Geneva) Jérémie 35:2 Va à la maison des Récabites, et parle-leur; tu les conduiras à la maison de l'Eternel, dans une des chambres, et tu leur offriras du vin à boire.(FR) 2 ׃35 הָלוֹךְ֮ אֶל־בֵּ֣ית הָרֵכָבִים֒ וְדִבַּרְתָּ֣ אוֹתָ֔ם וַהֲבִֽאוֹתָם֙ בֵּ֣ית יְהוָ֔ה אֶל־אַחַ֖ת הַלְּשָׁכ֑וֹת וְהִשְׁקִיתָ֥ אוֹתָ֖ם יָֽיִן׃ Jeremiah Jer 35:2 "Go to the house of the Rechabites and speak to them, and bring them into the house of the Lord, into one of the chambers, and give them wine to drink."(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 35:3 ============ Jer 35:3 Then I took Jaazaniah the son of Jeremiah, the son of Habaziniah, and his brethren, and all his sons, and the whole house of the Rechabites;(KJV) Jeremiah 35:3 Then tooke I Iaazaniah, the sonne of Ieremiah the sonne of Habazziniah, and his brethren, and all his sonnes, and the whole house of the Rechabites,(Geneva) Jérémie 35:3 Je pris Jaazania, fils de Jérémie, fils de Habazinia, ses frères, tous ses fils, et toute la maison des Récabites,(FR) 3 ׃35 וָאֶקַּ֞ח אֶת־יַאֲזַנְיָ֤ה בֶֽן־יִרְמְיָ֙הוּ֙ בֶּן־חֲבַצִּנְיָ֔ה וְאֶת־אֶחָ֖יו וְאֶת־כָּל־בָּנָ֑יו וְאֵ֖ת כָּל־בֵּ֥ית הָרֵכָבִֽים׃ Jeremiah Jer 35:3 Then I took Jaazaniah the son of Jeremiah, son of Habazziniah, and his brothers and all his sons and the whole house of the Rechabites, (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 35:4 ============ Jer 35:4 And I brought them into the house of the LORD, into the chamber of the sons of Hanan, the son of Igdaliah, a man of God, which was by the chamber of the princes, which was above the chamber of Maaseiah the son of Shallum, the keeper of the door:(KJV) Jeremiah 35:4 And I brought them into the House of the Lord, into the chamber of the sonnes of Hanan, the sonne of Igdaliah a man of God, which was by the chamber of the princes, which was aboue the chamber of Maaseiah the sonne of Shallum, the keeper of the treasure.(Geneva) Jérémie 35:4 et je les conduisis à la maison de l'Eternel, dans la chambre des fils de Hanan, fils de Jigdalia, homme de Dieu, près de la chambre des chefs, au-dessus de la chambre de Maaséja, fils de Schallum, garde du seuil.(FR) 4 ׃35 וָאָבִ֤א אֹתָם֙ בֵּ֣ית יְהוָ֔ה אֶל־לִשְׁכַּ֗ת בְּנֵ֛י חָנָ֥ן בֶּן־יִגְדַּלְיָ֖הוּ אִ֣ישׁ הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים אֲשֶׁר־אֵ֙צֶל֙ לִשְׁכַּ֣ת הַשָּׂרִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר מִמַּ֗עַל לְלִשְׁכַּ֛ת מַעֲשֵׂיָ֥הוּ בֶן־שַׁלֻּ֖ם שֹׁמֵ֥ר הַסַּֽף׃ Jeremiah Jer 35:4 and I brought them into the house of the Lord, into the chamber of the sons of Hanan the son of Igdaliah, the man of God, which was near the chamber of the officials, which was above the chamber of Maaseiah the son of Shallum, the doorkeeper. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 35:5 ============ Jer 35:5 And I set before the sons of the house of the Rechabites pots full of wine, and cups, and I said unto them, Drink ye wine.(KJV) Jeremiah 35:5 And I set before the sonnes of the house of the Rechabites, pots full of wine, and cuppes, and said vnto them, Drinke wine.(Geneva) Jérémie 35:5 Je mis devant les fils de la maison des Récabites des coupes pleines de vin, et des calices, et je leur dis: Buvez du vin!(FR) 5 ׃35 וָאֶתֵּ֞ן לִפְנֵ֣י ׀ בְּנֵ֣י בֵית־הָרֵכָבִ֗ים גְּבִעִ֛ים מְלֵאִ֥ים יַ֖יִן וְכֹס֑וֹת וָאֹמַ֥ר אֲלֵיהֶ֖ם שְׁתוּ־יָֽיִן׃ Jeremiah Jer 35:5 Then I set before the men of the house of the Rechabites pitchers full of wine and cups; and I said to them, "Drink wine!"(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 35:6 ============ Jer 35:6 But they said, We will drink no wine: for Jonadab the son of Rechab our father commanded us, saying, Ye shall drink no wine, neither ye, nor your sons for ever:(KJV) Jeremiah 35:6 But they said, We will drinke no wine: for Ionadab the sonne of Rechab our father commaunded vs, saying, Ye shall drinke no wine, neither you nor your sonnes for euer.(Geneva) Jérémie 35:6 Mais ils répondirent: Nous ne buvons pas de vin; car Jonadab, fils de Récab, notre père, nous a donné cet ordre: Vous ne boirez jamais de vin, ni vous, ni vos fils;(FR) 6 ׃35 וַיֹּאמְר֖וּ לֹ֣א נִשְׁתֶּה־יָּ֑יִן כִּי֩ יוֹנָדָ֨ב בֶּן־רֵכָ֜ב אָבִ֗ינוּ צִוָּ֤ה עָלֵ֙ינוּ֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר לֹ֧א תִשְׁתּוּ־יַ֛יִן אַתֶּ֥ם וּבְנֵיכֶ֖ם עַד־עוֹלָֽם׃ Jeremiah Jer 35:6 But they said, "We will not drink wine, for Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, commanded us, saying, 'You shall not drink wine, you or your sons, forever. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 35:7 ============ Jer 35:7 Neither shall ye build house, nor sow seed, nor plant vineyard, nor have any: but all your days ye shall dwell in tents; that ye may live many days in the land where ye be strangers.(KJV) Jeremiah 35:7 Neither shall ye build house, nor sow seede, nor plant vineyarde, nor haue any, but all your dayes ye shall dwell in tentes, that ye may liue a long time in the land where ye be strangers.(Geneva) Jérémie 35:7 et vous ne bâtirez point de maisons, vous ne sèmerez aucune semence, vous ne planterez point de vignes et vous n'en posséderez point; mais vous habiterez sous des tentes toute votre vie, afin que vous viviez longtemps dans le pays où vous êtes étrangers.(FR) 7 ׃35 וּבַ֣יִת לֹֽא־תִבְנ֗וּ וְזֶ֤רַע לֹֽא־תִזְרָ֙עוּ֙ וְכֶ֣רֶם לֹֽא־תִטָּ֔עוּ וְלֹ֥א יִֽהְיֶ֖ה לָכֶ֑ם כִּ֠י בָּאֳהָלִ֤ים תֵּֽשְׁבוּ֙ כָּל־יְמֵיכֶ֔ם לְמַ֨עַן תִּֽחְי֜וּ יָמִ֤ים רַבִּים֙ עַל־פְּנֵ֣י הָאֲדָמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר אַתֶּ֖ם גָּרִ֥ים שָֽׁם׃ Jeremiah Jer 35:7 You shall not build a house, and you shall not sow seed and you shall not plant a vineyard or own one; but in tents you shall dwell all your days, that you may live many days in the land where you sojourn.'(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 35:8 ============ Jer 35:8 Thus have we obeyed the voice of Jonadab the son of Rechab our father in all that he hath charged us, to drink no wine all our days, we, our wives, our sons, nor our daughters;(KJV) Jeremiah 35:8 Thus haue wee obeyed the voyce of Ionadab the sonne of Rechab our father, in all that he hath charged vs, and wee drinke no wine all our dayes, neither wee, our wiues, our sonnes, nor our daughters.(Geneva) Jérémie 35:8 Nous obéissons à tout ce que nous a prescrit Jonadab, fils de Récab, notre père: nous ne buvons pas de vin pendant toute notre vie, nous, nos femmes, nos fils et nos filles;(FR) 8 ׃35 וַנִּשְׁמַ֗ע בְּק֨וֹל יְהוֹנָדָ֤ב בֶּן־רֵכָב֙ אָבִ֔ינוּ לְכֹ֖ל אֲשֶׁ֣ר צִוָּ֑נוּ לְבִלְתִּ֤י שְׁתֽוֹת־יַ֙יִן֙ כָּל־יָמֵ֔ינוּ אֲנַ֣חְנוּ נָשֵׁ֔ינוּ בָּנֵ֖ינוּ וּבְנֹתֵֽינוּ׃ Jeremiah Jer 35:8 We have obeyed the voice of Jonadab the son of Rechab, our father, in all that he commanded us, not to drink wine all our days, we, our wives, our sons or our daughters, (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 35:9 ============ Jer 35:9 Nor to build houses for us to dwell in: neither have we vineyard, nor field, nor seed:(KJV) Jeremiah 35:9 Neither builde wee houses for vs to dwell in, neither haue we vineyard, nor fielde, nor seede,(Geneva) Jérémie 35:9 nous ne bâtissons point de maisons pour nos demeures, et nous ne possédons ni vignes, ni champs, ni terres ensemencées;(FR) 9 ׃35 וּלְבִלְתִּ֛י בְּנ֥וֹת בָּתִּ֖ים לְשִׁבְתֵּ֑נוּ וְכֶ֧רֶם וְשָׂדֶ֛ה וָזֶ֖רַע לֹ֥א יִֽהְיֶה־לָּֽנוּ׃ Jeremiah Jer 35:9 nor to build ourselves houses to dwell in; and we do not have vineyard or field or seed. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 35:10 ============ Jer 35:10 But we have dwelt in tents, and have obeyed, and done according to all that Jonadab our father commanded us.(KJV) Jeremiah 35:10 But we haue remained in tentes, and haue obeyed, and done according to all that Ionadab our father commaunded vs.(Geneva) Jérémie 35:10 nous habitons sous des tentes, et nous suivons et pratiquons tout ce que nous a prescrit Jonadab, notre père.(FR) 10 ׃35 וַנֵּ֖שֶׁב בָּֽאֳהָלִ֑ים וַנִּשְׁמַ֣ע וַנַּ֔עַשׂ כְּכֹ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־צִוָּ֖נוּ יוֹנָדָ֥ב אָבִֽינוּ׃ Jeremiah Jer 35:10 We have only dwelt in tents, and have obeyed and have done according to all that Jonadab our father commanded us. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 35:11 ============ Jer 35:11 But it came to pass, when Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came up into the land, that we said, Come, and let us go to Jerusalem for fear of the army of the Chaldeans, and for fear of the army of the Syrians: so we dwell at Jerusalem.(KJV) Jeremiah 35:11 But when Nebuchad-nezzar King of Babel came vp into the land, we said, Come, & let vs go to Ierusalem, from the hoste of the Caldeans, and from the host of Aram: so we dwel at Ierusalem.(Geneva) Jérémie 35:11 Lorsque Nebucadnetsar, roi de Babylone, est monté contre ce pays, nous avons dit: Allons, retirons-nous à Jérusalem, loin de l'armée des Chaldéens et de l'armée de Syrie. C'est ainsi que nous habitons à Jérusalem.(FR) 11 ׃35 וַיְהִ֗י בַּעֲל֨וֹת נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֥ר מֶֽלֶךְ־בָּבֶל֮ אֶל־הָאָרֶץ֒ וַנֹּ֗אמֶר בֹּ֚אוּ וְנָב֣וֹא יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם מִפְּנֵי֙ חֵ֣יל הַכַּשְׂדִּ֔ים וּמִפְּנֵ֖י חֵ֣יל אֲרָ֑ם וַנֵּ֖שֶׁב בִּירוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃ פ Jeremiah Jer 35:11 But when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against the land, we said, 'Come and let us go to Jerusalem before the army of the Chaldeans and before the army of the Arameans.' So we have dwelt in Jerusalem." (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 35:12 ============ Jer 35:12 Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying,(KJV) Jeremiah 35:12 Then came the word of the Lord vnto Ieremiah, saying,(Geneva) Jérémie 35:12 Alors la parole de l'Eternel fut adressée à Jérémie, en ces mots:(FR) 12 ׃35 וַֽיְהִי֙ דְּבַר־יְהוָ֔ה אֶֽל־יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ לֵאמֹֽר׃ Jeremiah Jer 35:12 Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying, (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 35:13 ============ Jer 35:13 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Go and tell the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, Will ye not receive instruction to hearken to my words? saith the LORD.(KJV) Jeremiah 35:13 Thus saith the Lorde of hostes, the God of Israel, Goe, and tell the men of Iudah, and the inhabitants of Ierusalem, Will ye not receiue doctrine to obey my wordes, saith the Lord?(Geneva) Jérémie 35:13 Ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées, le Dieu d'Israël: Va, et dis aux hommes de Juda et aux habitants de Jérusalem: Ne recevrez-vous pas instruction, pour obéir à mes paroles? dit l'Eternel.(FR) 13 ׃35 כֹּֽה־אָמַ֞ר יְהוָ֤ה צְבָאוֹת֙ אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל הָלֹ֤ךְ וְאָֽמַרְתָּ֙ לְאִ֣ישׁ יְהוּדָ֔ה וּלְיֽוֹשְׁבֵ֖י יְרֽוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם הֲל֨וֹא תִקְח֥וּ מוּסָ֛ר לִשְׁמֹ֥עַ אֶל־דְּבָרַ֖י נְאֻם־יְהוָֽה׃ Jeremiah Jer 35:13 "Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, 'Go and say to the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, "Will you not receive instruction by listening to My words?" declares the Lord. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 35:14 ============ Jer 35:14 The words of Jonadab the son of Rechab, that he commanded his sons not to drink wine, are performed; for unto this day they drink none, but obey their father's commandment: notwithstanding I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but ye hearkened not unto me.(KJV) Jeremiah 35:14 The commandement of Ionadab the sonne of Rechab that hee commaunded his sonnes, that they should drinke no wine, is surely kept: for vnto this day they drinke none, but obey their fathers commaundement: notwithstanding I haue spoken vnto you, rising earely, and speaking, but ye would not obey me.(Geneva) Jérémie 35:14 On a observé les paroles de Jonadab, fils de Récab, qui a ordonné à ses fils de ne pas boire du vin, et ils n'en ont point bu jusqu'à ce jour, parce qu'ils ont obéi à l'ordre de leur père. Et moi, je vous ai parlé, je vous ai parlé dès le matin, et vous ne m'avez pas écouté.(FR) 14 ׃35 הוּקַ֡ם אֶת־דִּבְרֵ֣י יְהוֹנָדָ֣ב בֶּן־רֵ֠כָב אֲשֶׁר־צִוָּ֨ה אֶת־בָּנָ֜יו לְבִלְתִּ֣י שְׁתֽוֹת־יַ֗יִן וְלֹ֤א שָׁתוּ֙ עַד־הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֔ה כִּ֣י שָֽׁמְע֔וּ אֵ֖ת מִצְוַ֣ת אֲבִיהֶ֑ם וְאָ֨נֹכִ֜י דִּבַּ֤רְתִּי אֲלֵיכֶם֙ הַשְׁכֵּ֣ם וְדַבֵּ֔ר וְלֹ֥א שְׁמַעְתֶּ֖ם אֵלָֽי׃ Jeremiah Jer 35:14 "The words of Jonadab the son of Rechab, which he commanded his sons not to drink wine, are observed. So they do not drink wine to this day, for they have obeyed their father's command. But I have spoken to you again and again; yet you have not listened to Me. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 35:15 ============ Jer 35:15 I have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me.(KJV) Jeremiah 35:15 I haue sent also vnto you all my seruants the Prophetes, rising vp earely, and sending, them, saying, Returne nowe euery man from his euill way, and amende your workes, and goe not after other gods to serue them, and ye shall dwel in the lande which I haue giuen vnto you, and to your fathers, but ye would not encline your eare, nor obey mee.(Geneva) Jérémie 35:15 Je vous ai envoyé tous mes serviteurs, les prophètes, je les ai envoyés dès le matin, pour vous dire: Revenez chacun de votre mauvaise voie, amendez vos actions, n'allez pas après d'autres dieux pour les servir, et vous resterez dans le pays que j'ai donné à vous et à vos pères. Mais vous n'avez pas prêté l'oreille, vous ne m'avez pas écouté.(FR) 15 ׃35 וָאֶשְׁלַ֣ח אֲלֵיכֶ֣ם אֶת־כָּל־עֲבָדַ֣י הַנְּבִאִ֣ים ׀ הַשְׁכֵּ֣ים וְשָׁלֹ֣חַ ׀ לֵאמֹ֡ר שֻׁבוּ־נָ֡א אִישׁ֩ מִדַּרְכּ֨וֹ הָרָעָ֜ה וְהֵיטִ֣יבוּ מַֽעַלְלֵיכֶ֗ם וְאַל־תֵּ֨לְכ֜וּ אַחֲרֵ֨י אֱלֹהִ֤ים אֲחֵרִים֙ לְעָבְדָ֔ם וּשְׁבוּ֙ אֶל־הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־נָתַ֥תִּי לָכֶ֖ם וְלַאֲבֹֽתֵיכֶ֑ם וְלֹ֤א הִטִּיתֶם֙ אֶֽת־אָזְנְכֶ֔ם וְלֹ֥א שְׁמַעְתֶּ֖ם אֵלָֽי׃ Jeremiah Jer 35:15 Also I have sent to you all My servants the prophets, sending them again and again, saying: 'Turn now every man from his evil way and amend your deeds, and do not go after other gods to worship them. Then you will dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your forefathers; but you have not inclined your ear or listened to Me.
