Today's Date: ======= Jeremiah 36:1 ============ Jer 36:1 And it came to pass in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that this word came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,(KJV) Jeremiah 36:1 And in the fourth yeere of Iehoiakim the sonne of Iosiah King of Iudah, came this word vnto Ieremiah from the Lord, saying,(Geneva) Jérémie 36:1 La quatrième année de Jojakim, fils de Josias, roi de Juda, cette parole fut adressée à Jérémie de la part de l'Eternel, en ces mots:(FR) 1 ׃36 וַֽיְהִי֙ בַּשָּׁנָ֣ה הָרְבִיעִ֔ת לִיהוֹיָקִ֥ים בֶּן־יֹאשִׁיָּ֖הוּ מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֑ה הָיָ֞ה הַדָּבָ֤ר הַזֶּה֙ אֶֽל־יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ מֵאֵ֥ת יְהוָ֖ה לֵאמֹֽר׃ Jeremiah Jer 36:1 In the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, this word came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying, (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 36:2 ============ Jer 36:2 Take thee a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day.(KJV) Jeremiah 36:2 Take thee a roule or booke, and write therein all the wordes that I haue spoken to thee against Israel, and against Iudah, and against all the nations, from the day that I spake vnto thee, euen from the dayes of Iosiah vnto this day.(Geneva) Jérémie 36:2 Prends un livre, et tu y écriras toutes les paroles que je t'ai dites sur Israël et sur Juda, et sur toutes les nations, depuis le jour où je t'ai parlé, au temps de Josias, jusqu'à ce jour.(FR) 2 ׃36 קַח־לְךָ֮ מְגִלַּת־סֵפֶר֒ וְכָתַבְתָּ֣ אֵלֶ֗יהָ אֵ֣ת כָּל־הַדְּבָרִ֞ים אֲשֶׁר־דִּבַּ֧רְתִּי אֵלֶ֛יךָ עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֥ל וְעַל־יְהוּדָ֖ה וְעַל־כָּל־הַגּוֹיִ֑ם מִיּ֞וֹם דִּבַּ֤רְתִּי אֵלֶ֙יךָ֙ מִימֵ֣י יֹאשִׁיָּ֔הוּ וְעַ֖ד הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃ Jeremiah Jer 36:2 "Take a scroll and write on it all the words which I have spoken to you concerning Israel and concerning Judah, and concerning all the nations, from the day I first spoke to you, from the days of Josiah, even to this day. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 36:3 ============ Jer 36:3 It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.(KJV) Jeremiah 36:3 It may bee that the House of Iudah will heare of all the euill, which I determined to doe vnto them that they may returne euery man from his euil way, that I may forgiue their iniquitie and their sinnes.(Geneva) Jérémie 36:3 Quand la maison de Juda entendra tout le mal que je pense lui faire, peut-être reviendront-ils chacun de leur mauvaise voie; alors je pardonnerai leur iniquité et leur péché.(FR) 3 ׃36 אוּלַ֤י יִשְׁמְעוּ֙ בֵּ֣ית יְהוּדָ֔ה אֵ֚ת כָּל־הָ֣רָעָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֛ר אָנֹכִ֥י חֹשֵׁ֖ב לַעֲשׂ֣וֹת לָהֶ֑ם לְמַ֣עַן יָשׁ֗וּבוּ אִ֚ישׁ מִדַּרְכּ֣וֹ הָרָעָ֔ה וְסָלַחְתִּ֥י לַעֲוֺנָ֖ם וּלְחַטָּאתָֽם׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 36:3 Perhaps the house of Judah will hear all the calamity which I plan to bring on them, in order that every man will turn from his evil way; then I will forgive their iniquity and their sin."(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 36:4 ============ Jer 36:4 Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah: and Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the LORD, which he had spoken unto him, upon a roll of a book.(KJV) Jeremiah 36:4 Then Ieremiah called Baruch the sonne of Neriah, and Baruch wrote at the mouth of Ieremiah all the wordes of the Lorde, which hee had spoken vnto him, vpon a roule or booke.(Geneva) Jérémie 36:4 Jérémie appela Baruc, fils de Nérija; et Baruc écrivit dans un livre, sous la dictée de Jérémie, toutes les paroles que l'Eternel avait dites à Jérémie.(FR) 4 ׃36 וַיִּקְרָ֣א יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ אֶת־בָּר֖וּךְ בֶּן־נֵֽרִיָּ֑ה וַיִּכְתֹּ֨ב בָּר֜וּךְ מִפִּ֣י יִרְמְיָ֗הוּ אֵ֣ת כָּל־דִּבְרֵ֧י יְהוָ֛ה אֲשֶׁר־דִּבֶּ֥ר אֵלָ֖יו עַל־מְגִלַּת־סֵֽפֶר׃ Jeremiah Jer 36:4 Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah, and Baruch wrote on a scroll at the dictation of Jeremiah all the words of the Lord which He had spoken to him. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 36:5 ============ Jer 36:5 And Jeremiah commanded Baruch, saying, I am shut up; I cannot go into the house of the LORD:(KJV) Jeremiah 36:5 And Ieremiah commaunded Baruch, saying, I am shut vp, and can not go into the House of the Lord.(Geneva) Jérémie 36:5 Puis Jérémie donna cet ordre à Baruc: Je suis retenu, et je ne peux pas aller à la maison de l'Eternel.(FR) 5 ׃36 וַיְצַוֶּ֣ה יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ אֶת־בָּר֖וּךְ לֵאמֹ֑ר אֲנִ֣י עָצ֔וּר לֹ֣א אוּכַ֔ל לָב֖וֹא בֵּ֥ית יְהוָֽה׃ Jeremiah Jer 36:5 Jeremiah commanded Baruch, saying, "I am restricted; I cannot go into the house of the Lord. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 36:6 ============ Jer 36:6 Therefore go thou, and read in the roll, which thou hast written from my mouth, the words of the LORD in the ears of the people in the LORD's house upon the fasting day: and also thou shalt read them in the ears of all Judah that come out of their cities.(KJV) Jeremiah 36:6 Therefore goe thou, and reade the roule wherein thou hast written at my mouth the words of the Lorde in the audience of the people in the Lordes House vpon the fasting day: also thou shalt reade them in the hearing of all Iudah, that come out of their cities.(Geneva) Jérémie 36:6 Tu iras toi-même, et tu liras dans le livre que tu as écrit sous ma dictée les paroles de l'Eternel, aux oreilles du peuple, dans la maison de l'Eternel, le jour du jeûne; tu les liras aussi aux oreilles de tous ceux de Juda qui seront venus de leurs villes.(FR) 6 ׃36 וּבָאתָ֣ אַתָּ֡ה וְקָרָ֣אתָ בַמְּגִלָּ֣ה אֲשֶׁר־כָּתַֽבְתָּ־מִפִּי֩ אֶת־דִּבְרֵ֨י יְהוָ֜ה בְּאָזְנֵ֥י הָעָ֛ם בֵּ֥ית יְהוָ֖ה בְּי֣וֹם צ֑וֹם וְגַ֨ם בְּאָזְנֵ֧י כָל־יְהוּדָ֛ה הַבָּאִ֥ים מֵעָרֵיהֶ֖ם תִּקְרָאֵֽם׃ Jeremiah Jer 36:6 So you go and read from the scroll which you have written at my dictation the words of the Lord to the people in the Lord's house on a fast day. And also you shall read them to all the people of Judah who come from their cities. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 36:7 ============ Jer 36:7 It may be they will present their supplication before the LORD, and will return every one from his evil way: for great is the anger and the fury that the LORD hath pronounced against this people.(KJV) Jeremiah 36:7 It may be that they will pray before the Lorde, and euery one returne from his euill way, for great is the anger and the wrath, that the Lord hath declared against this people.(Geneva) Jérémie 36:7 Peut-être l'Eternel écoutera-t-il leurs supplications, et reviendront ils chacun de leur mauvaise voie; car grande est la colère, la fureur dont l'Eternel a menacé ce peuple.(FR) 7 ׃36 אוּלַ֞י תִּפֹּ֤ל תְּחִנָּתָם֙ לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה וְיָשֻׁ֕בוּ אִ֖ישׁ מִדַּרְכּ֣וֹ הָרָעָ֑ה כִּֽי־גָד֤וֹל הָאַף֙ וְהַ֣חֵמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־דִּבֶּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֶל־הָעָ֥ם הַזֶּֽה׃ Jeremiah Jer 36:7 Perhaps their supplication will come before the Lord, and everyone will turn from his evil way, for great is the anger and the wrath that the Lord has pronounced against this people."(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 36:8 ============ Jer 36:8 And Baruch the son of Neriah did according to all that Jeremiah the prophet commanded him, reading in the book the words of the LORD in the LORD's house.(KJV) Jeremiah 36:8 So Baruch the sonne of Neriah did according vnto all, that Ieremiah the Prophet commanded him, reading in the booke the wordes of the Lord in the Lords House.(Geneva) Jérémie 36:8 Baruc, fils de Nérija, fit tout ce que lui avait ordonné Jérémie, le prophète, et lut dans le livre les paroles de l'Eternel, dans la maison de l'Eternel.(FR) 8 ׃36 וַיַּ֗עַשׂ בָּרוּךְ֙ בֶּן־נֵ֣רִיָּ֔ה כְּכֹ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־צִוָּ֖הוּ יִרְמְיָ֣הוּ הַנָּבִ֑יא לִקְרֹ֥א בַסֵּ֛פֶר דִּבְרֵ֥י יְהוָ֖ה בֵּ֥ית יְהֹוָֽה׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 36:8 Baruch the son of Neriah did according to all that Jeremiah the prophet commanded him, reading from the book the words of the Lord in the Lord's house. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 36:9 ============ Jer 36:9 And it came to pass in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, in the ninth month, that they proclaimed a fast before the LORD to all the people in Jerusalem, and to all the people that came from the cities of Judah unto Jerusalem.(KJV) Jeremiah 36:9 And in the fift yeere of Iehoiakim the sonne of Iosiah King of Iudah, in the ninth moneth, they proclaimed a fast before the Lord to all the people in Ierusalem, and to all the people that came from the cities of Iudah vnto Ierusalem.(Geneva) Jérémie 36:9 La cinquième année de Jojakim, fils de Josias, roi de Juda, le neuvième mois, on publia un jeûne devant l'Eternel pour tout le peuple de Jérusalem et pour tout le peuple venu des villes de Juda à Jérusalem.(FR) 9 ׃36 וַיְהִ֣י בַשָּׁנָ֣ה הַ֠חֲמִשִׁית לִיהוֹיָקִ֨ים בֶּן־יֹאשִׁיָּ֤הוּ מֶֽלֶךְ־יְהוּדָה֙ בַּחֹ֣דֶשׁ הַתְּשִׁעִ֔י קָרְא֨וּ צ֜וֹם לִפְנֵ֧י יְהוָ֛ה כָּל־הָעָ֖ם בִּירֽוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם וְכָל־הָעָ֗ם הַבָּאִ֛ים מֵעָרֵ֥י יְהוּדָ֖ה בִּירוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃ Jeremiah Jer 36:9 Now in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, in the ninth month, all the people in Jerusalem and all the people who came from the cities of Judah to Jerusalem proclaimed a fast before the Lord. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 36:10 ============ Jer 36:10 Then read Baruch in the book the words of Jeremiah in the house of the LORD, in the chamber of Gemariah the son of Shaphan the scribe, in the higher court, at the entry of the new gate of the LORD's house, in the ears of all the people.(KJV) Jeremiah 36:10 Then read Baruch in the booke the wordes of Ieremiah in the house of the Lord, in the chamber of Gemariah the sonne of Shaphan the secretarie, in the hier court at the entrie of the new gate of the Lordes house, in the hearing of all the people.(Geneva) Jérémie 36:10 Et Baruc lut dans le livre les paroles de Jérémie, aux oreilles de tout le peuple, dans la maison de l'Eternel, dans la chambre de Guemaria, fils de Schaphan, le secrétaire, dans le parvis supérieur, à l'entrée de la porte neuve de la maison de l'Eternel.(FR) 10 ׃36 וַיִּקְרָ֨א בָר֥וּךְ בַּסֵּ֛פֶר אֶת־דִּבְרֵ֥י יִרְמְיָ֖הוּ בֵּ֣ית יְהוָ֑ה בְּלִשְׁכַּ֡ת גְּמַרְיָהוּ֩ בֶן־שָׁפָ֨ן הַסֹּפֵ֜ר בֶּחָצֵ֣ר הָעֶלְי֗וֹן פֶּ֣תַח שַׁ֤עַר בֵּית־יְהוָה֙ הֶֽחָדָ֔שׁ בְּאָזְנֵ֖י כָּל־הָעָֽם׃ Jeremiah Jer 36:10 Then Baruch read from the book the words of Jeremiah in the house of the Lord in the chamber of Gemariah the son of Shaphan the scribe, in the upper court, at the entry of the New Gate of the Lord's house, to all the people. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 36:11 ============ Jer 36:11 When Michaiah the son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, had heard out of the book all the words of the LORD,(KJV) Jeremiah 36:11 When Michaiah the sonne of Gemariah, the sonne of Shaphan had heard out of the booke all the wordes of the Lord,(Geneva) Jérémie 36:11 Michée, fils de Guemaria, fils de Schaphan, ayant entendu toutes les paroles de l'Eternel contenues dans le livre,(FR) 11 ׃36 וַ֠יִּשְׁמַ֗ע מִכָ֨יְהוּ בֶן־גְּמַרְיָ֧הוּ בֶן־שָׁפָ֛ן אֶת־כָּל־דִּבְרֵ֥י יְהוָ֖ה מֵעַ֥ל הַסֵּֽפֶר׃ Jeremiah Jer 36:11 Now when Micaiah the son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, had heard all the words of the Lord from the book, (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 36:12 ============ Jer 36:12 Then he went down into the king's house, into the scribe's chamber: and, lo, all the princes sat there, even Elishama the scribe, and Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, and Elnathan the son of Achbor, and Gemariah the son of Shaphan, and Zedekiah the son of Hananiah, and all the princes.(KJV) Jeremiah 36:12 Then hee went downe to the Kings house into the Chancellours chamber, and loe, all the princes sate there, euen Elishama the Chancellour, and Delaiah the sonne of Shemaiah, and Elnathan the sonne of Achbor, and Gemariah the sonne of Shaphan, and Zedekiah the sonne of Hananiah, and all the princes.(Geneva) Jérémie 36:12 descendit à la maison du roi, dans la chambre du secrétaire, où étaient assis tous les chefs, Elischama, le secrétaire, Delaja, fils de Schemaeja, Elnathan, fils d'Acbor, Guemaria, fils de Schaphan, Sédécias, fils de Hanania, et tous les autres chefs.(FR) 12 ׃36 וַיֵּ֤רֶד בֵּית־הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ עַל־לִשְׁכַּ֣ת הַסֹּפֵ֔ר וְהִ֨נֵּה־שָׁ֔ם כָּל־הַשָּׂרִ֖ים יֽוֹשְׁבִ֑ים אֱלִישָׁמָ֣ע הַסֹּפֵ֡ר וּדְלָיָ֣הוּ בֶן־שְׁ֠מַעְיָהוּ וְאֶלְנָתָ֨ן בֶּן־עַכְבּ֜וֹר וּגְמַרְיָ֧הוּ בֶן־שָׁפָ֛ן וְצִדְקִיָּ֥הוּ בֶן־חֲנַנְיָ֖הוּ וְכָל־הַשָּׂרִֽים׃ Jeremiah Jer 36:12 he went down to the king's house, into the scribe's chamber. And behold, all the officials were sitting there--Elishama the scribe, and Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, and Elnathan the son of Achbor, and Gemariah the son of Shaphan, and Zedekiah the son of Hananiah, and all the other officials. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 36:13 ============ Jer 36:13 Then Michaiah declared unto them all the words that he had heard, when Baruch read the book in the ears of the people.(KJV) Jeremiah 36:13 Then Michaiah declared vnto them all the wordes that he had heard when Baruch read in the booke in the audience of the people.(Geneva) Jérémie 36:13 Et Michée leur rapporta toutes les paroles qu'il avait entendues, lorsque Baruc lisait dans le livre, aux oreilles du peuple.(FR) 13 ׃36 וַיַּגֵּ֤ד לָהֶם֙ מִכָ֔יְהוּ אֵ֥ת כָּל־הַדְּבָרִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר שָׁמֵ֑עַ בִּקְרֹ֥א בָר֛וּךְ בַּסֵּ֖פֶר בְּאָזְנֵ֥י הָעָֽם׃ Jeremiah Jer 36:13 Micaiah declared to them all the words that he had heard when Baruch read from the book to the people. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 36:14 ============ Jer 36:14 Therefore all the princes sent Jehudi the son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, unto Baruch, saying, Take in thine hand the roll wherein thou hast read in the ears of the people, and come. So Baruch the son of Neriah took the roll in his hand, and came unto them.(KJV) Jeremiah 36:14 Therefore all the princes sent Iehudi the sonne of Nethaniah, the sonne of Shelemiah, the sonne of Chushi, vnto Baruch, saying, Take in thine hande the roule, wherein thou hast read in the audience of the people, and come. So Baruch the sonne of Neriah, tooke the roule in his hand, and came vnto them.(Geneva) Jérémie 36:14 Alors tous les chefs envoyèrent vers Baruc Jehudi, fils de Nethania, fils de Schélémia, fils de Cuschi, pour lui dire: Prends en main le livre dans lequel tu as lu, aux oreilles du peuple, et viens! Baruc, fils de Nérija, prit en main le livre, et se rendit auprès d'eux.(FR) 14 ׃36 וַיִּשְׁלְח֨וּ כָל־הַשָּׂרִ֜ים אֶל־בָּר֗וּךְ אֶת־יְהוּדִ֡י בֶּן־נְ֠תַנְיָהוּ בֶּן־שֶׁלֶמְיָ֣הוּ בֶן־כּוּשִׁי֮ לֵאמֹר֒ הַמְּגִלָּ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר קָרָ֤אתָ בָּהּ֙ בְּאָזְנֵ֣י הָעָ֔ם קָחֶ֥נָּה בְיָדְךָ֖ וָלֵ֑ךְ וַ֠יִּקַּח בָּר֨וּךְ בֶּן־נֵרִיָּ֤הוּ אֶת־הַמְּגִלָּה֙ בְּיָד֔וֹ וַיָּבֹ֖א אֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ Jeremiah Jer 36:14 Then all the officials sent Jehudi the son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, to Baruch, saying, "Take in your hand the scroll from which you have read to the people and come." So Baruch the son of Neriah took the scroll in his hand and went to them. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 36:15 ============ Jer 36:15 And they said unto him, Sit down now, and read it in our ears. So Baruch read it in their ears.(KJV) Jeremiah 36:15 And they saide vnto him, Sit downe now, and reade it, that we may heare. So Baruch read it in their audience.(Geneva) Jérémie 36:15 Ils lui dirent: Assieds-toi, et lis-le à nos oreilles. Et Baruc lut à leurs oreilles.(FR) 15 ׃36 וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ אֵלָ֔יו שֵׁ֣ב נָ֔א וּקְרָאֶ֖נָּה בְּאָזְנֵ֑ינוּ וַיִּקְרָ֥א בָר֖וּךְ בְּאָזְנֵיהֶֽם׃ Jeremiah Jer 36:15 They said to him, "Sit down, please, and read it to us." So Baruch read it to them. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 36:16 ============ Jer 36:16 Now it came to pass, when they had heard all the words, they were afraid both one and other, and said unto Baruch, We will surely tell the king of all these words.(KJV) Jeremiah 36:16 Now when they had heard all the wordes, they were afraid both one and other, & said vnto Baruch, We will certifie the King of all these wordes.(Geneva) Jérémie 36:16 Lorsqu'ils eurent entendu toutes les paroles, ils se regardèrent avec effroi les uns les autres, et ils dirent à Baruc: Nous rapporterons au roi toutes ces paroles.(FR) 16 ׃36 וַיְהִ֗י כְּשָׁמְעָם֙ אֶת־כָּל־הַדְּבָרִ֔ים פָּחֲד֖וּ אִ֣ישׁ אֶל־רֵעֵ֑הוּ וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙ אֶל־בָּר֔וּךְ הַגֵּ֤יד נַגִּיד֙ לַמֶּ֔לֶךְ אֵ֥ת כָּל־הַדְּבָרִ֖ים הָאֵֽלֶּה׃ Jeremiah Jer 36:16 When they had heard all the words, they turned in fear one to another and said to Baruch, "We will surely report all these words to the king."(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 36:17 ============ Jer 36:17 And they asked Baruch, saying, Tell us now, How didst thou write all these words at his mouth?(KJV) Jeremiah 36:17 And they examined Baruch, saying, Tell vs nowe, howe diddest thou write all these wordes at his mouth?(Geneva) Jérémie 36:17 Ils posèrent encore à Baruc cette question: Dis-nous comment tu as écrit toutes ces paroles sous sa dictée.(FR) 17 ׃36 וְאֶ֨ת־בָּר֔וּךְ שָׁאֲל֖וּ לֵאמֹ֑ר הַגֶּד־נָ֣א לָ֔נוּ אֵ֗יךְ כָּתַ֛בְתָּ אֶת־כָּל־הַדְּבָרִ֥ים הָאֵ֖לֶּה מִפִּֽיו׃ Jeremiah Jer 36:17 And they asked Baruch, saying, "Tell us, please, how did you write all these words?
