(nasb) ======= Luke 18:3 ============ Luk 18:3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.(KJV) Luke 18:3 And there was a widowe in that citie, which came vnto him, saying, Doe mee iustice against mine aduersarie.(Geneva) Luc 18:3 Il y avait aussi dans cette ville une veuve qui venait lui dire: Fais-moi justice de ma partie adverse.(FR) וְאַלְמָנָה הָיְתָה שָּׁם בָּעִיר וַתָּבֹא אֵלָיו לֵאמֹר שָׁפְטֵנִי־נָא מֵאִישׁ רִיבִי׃ ג Luke Luk 18:3 There was a widow in that city, and she kept coming to him, saying, 'Give me legal protection from my opponent.'(nasb) ======= Luke 18:4 ============ Luk 18:4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;(KJV) Luke 18:4 And hee would not of a long time: but afterward he said with himselfe, Though I feare not God, nor reuerence man,(Geneva) Luc 18:4 Pendant longtemps il refusa. Mais ensuite il dit en lui-même: Quoique je ne craigne point Dieu et que je n'aie d'égard pour personne,(FR) וְלֹא אָבָה לִשְׁמֹעַ בְּקוֹלָהּ יָמִים מִסְפָּר וְאַחֲרֵי־כֵן אָמַר בְּלִבּוֹ אַף כִּי אֵינֶנִּי יָרֵא אֶת־הָאֱלֹהִים וְאֶל־פְּנֵי אָדָם לֹא אֵפֶן׃ ד Luke Luk 18:4 For a while he was unwilling; but afterward he said to himself, 'Even though I do not fear God nor respect man, (nasb) ======= Luke 18:5 ============ Luk 18:5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.(KJV) Luke 18:5 Yet because this widowe troubleth mee, I will doe her right, lest at the last shee come and make me wearie.(Geneva) Luc 18:5 néanmoins, parce que cette veuve m'importune, je lui ferai justice, afin qu'elle ne vienne pas sans cesse me rompre la tête.(FR) הִנְנִי לָרִיב רִיב הָאַלְמָנָה הַזֹּאת כִּי־תַלְאֶה אֹתִי וְתָבֹא לְהֲצִיקֵנִי בִדְבָרֶיהָ יוֹם יוֹם׃ ה Luke Luk 18:5 yet because this widow bothers me, I will give her legal protection, otherwise by continually coming she will wear me out.'"(nasb) ======= Luke 18:6 ============ Luk 18:6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.(KJV) Luke 18:6 And the Lord said, Heare what the vnrighteous iudge saith.(Geneva) Luc 18:6 Le Seigneur ajouta: Entendez ce que dit le juge inique.(FR) וְעַתָּה שִׁמְעוּ־נָא נְאֻם הָאָדוֹן אֵת אֲשֶׁר אֹמֵר הַשֹּׁפֵט הַבְּלִיָּעַל׃ ו Luke Luk 18:6 And the Lord said, "Hear what the unrighteous judge said; (nasb) ======= Luke 18:7 ============ Luk 18:7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?(KJV) Luke 18:7 Now shall not God auenge his elect, which cry day and night vnto him, yea, though he suffer long for them?(Geneva) Luc 18:7 Et Dieu ne fera-t-il pas justice à ses élus, qui crient à lui jour et nuit, et tardera-t-il à leur égard?(FR) וֵאלֹהִים הַאִם לֹא יָרִיב רִיב בְּחִירָיו הַקֹּרִאים אֵלָיו יוֹמָם וָלָיְלָה וְרַחֲמָיו אֲלֵיהֶם יִתְאַפָּקוּ׃ ז Luke Luk 18:7 now, will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry to Him day and night, and will He delay long over them? (nasb) ======= Luke 18:8 ============ Luk 18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?(KJV) Luke 18:8 I tell you he will auenge them quickly: but when the Sonne of man commeth, shall he finde faith on the earth?(Geneva) Luc 18:8 Je vous le dis, il leur fera promptement justice. Mais, quand le Fils de l'homme viendra, trouvera-t-il la foi sur la terre?(FR) הֵן אֲנִי אֹמֵר לָכֶם כִּי־יָחִישׁ לָרִיב רִיבָם אַךְ בֶּן־הָאָדָם בְּבֹאוֹ הֲיִמְצָא אֱמוּנָה עֲלֵי־אָרֶץ׃ ח Luke Luk 18:8 I tell you that He will bring about justice for them quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?" (nasb) ======= Luke 18:12 ============ Luk 18:12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.(KJV) Luke 18:12 I fast twise in the weeke: I giue tithe of all that euer I possesse.(Geneva) Luc 18:12 je jeûne deux fois la semaine, je donne la dîme de tous mes revenus.(FR) אָנֹכִי צָם יוֹמַיִם בַּשָּׁבוּעַ וּמְעַשֵּׂר אֲנִי אֶת־כָּל־תְּבוּאֹתָי׃ יב Luke Luk 18:12 I fast twice a week; I pay tithes of all that I get.'(nasb) ======= Luke 18:13 ============ Luk 18:13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.(KJV) Luke 18:13 But the Publican standing a farre off, woulde not lift vp so much as his eyes to heauen, but smote his brest, saying, O God, be mercifull to me a sinner.(Geneva) Luc 18:13 Le publicain, se tenant à distance, n'osait même pas lever les yeux au ciel; mais il se frappait la poitrine, en disant: O Dieu, sois apaisé envers moi, qui suis un pécheur.(FR) וְהַמּוֹכֵס עָמַד מֵרָחוֹק וְלֹא הֵעִיז לָשֵׂאת אֶת־עֵינָיו לַמָּרוֹם וַיִּסְפֹּק עַל־לִבּוֹ וַיֹּאמַר רַחֶם־נָא אֱלֹהִים עַל־חֹטֵא כָּמֹנִי׃ יג Luke Luk 18:13 But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to lift up his eyes to heaven, but was beating his breast, saying, 'God, be merciful to me, the sinner!'(nasb) ======= Luke 18:14 ============ Luk 18:14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.(KJV) Luke 18:14 I tell you, this man departed to his house iustified, rather then the other: for euery man that exalteth himselfe, shall be brought lowe, and he that humbleth himselfe, shalbe exalted.(Geneva) Luc 18:14 Je vous le dis, celui-ci descendit dans sa maison justifié, plutôt que l'autre. Car quiconque s'élève sera abaissé, et celui qui s'abaisse sera élevé.(FR) הֵן אֲנִי אֹמֵר לָכֶם כִּי־נִצְדָּק שָׁב הָאִישׁ הַזֶּה לְבֵיתוֹ מִן־הָאִישׁ הַהוּא כִּי הַמִּתְנַשֵּׂא בְגַאֲוָתוֹ יִשָּׁפֵל וּשְׁפַל רוּחַ יִנָּשֵׂא׃ יד Luke Luk 18:14 I tell you, this man went to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted."(nasb) ======= Luke 18:15 ============ Luk 18:15 And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them.(KJV) Luke 18:15 They brought vnto him also babes that he should touche them. No one is good except God alone. Sell all that euer thou hast, and distribute vnto the poore, and thou shalt haue treasure in heauen, and come followe mee.(Geneva) Luc 18:22 Jésus, ayant entendu cela, lui dit: Il te manque encore une chose: vends tout ce que tu as, distribue- le aux pauvres, et tu auras un trésor dans les cieux. (nasb) ======= Luke 18:24 ============ Luk 18:24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!(KJV) Luke 18:24 And when Iesus sawe him very sorowfull, he said, With what difficultie shall they that haue riches, enter into the kingdome of God!(Geneva) Luc 18:24 Jésus, voyant qu'il était devenu tout triste, dit: Qu'il est difficile à ceux qui ont des richesses d'entrer dans le royaume de Dieu!(FR) וַיַּרְא אֹתוֹ יֵשׁוּעַ וַיֹּאמַר מַה־קָּשֶׁה לְבַעֲלֵי עשֶׁר לָבֹא אֶל־מַלְכוּת הָאֱלֹהִים׃ כד Luke Luk 18:24 And Jesus looked at him and said, "How hard it is for those who are wealthy to enter the kingdom of God!
