(nasb) ======= Luke 16:2 ============ Luk 16:2 And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of thee? give an account of thy stewardship; for thou mayest be no longer steward.(KJV) Luke 16:2 And hee called him, and saide vnto him, Howe is it that I heare this of thee? Giue an accounts of thy stewardship: for thou maiest be no longer steward.(Geneva) Luc 16:2 Il l'appela, et lui dit: Qu'est-ce que j'entends dire de toi? Give an accounting of your management, for you can no longer be manager.'(nasb) ======= Luke 16:3 ============ Luk 16:3 Then the steward said within himself, What shall I do? for my lord taketh away from me the stewardship: I cannot dig; to beg I am ashamed.(KJV) Luke 16:3 Then the stewarde saide within himselfe, What shall I doe? for my master taketh away from me the stewardship. I cannot digge, and to begge I am ashamed.(Geneva) Luc 16:3 L'économe dit en lui-même: Que ferai-je, puisque mon maître m'ôte l'administration de ses biens? Travailler à la terre? je ne le puis. Mendier? j'en ai honte.(FR) וַיֹּאמֶר הַסֹּכֵן אֶל־לִבּוֹ מָה אֶעֱשֶׂה כִּי־לֹקֵחַ אֲדֹנִי אֶת־פְּקֻדָּתִי מִמֶּנִּי לַעֲבֹד אֶת־הָאֲדָמָה לֹא־תוּכַל וּלְבַקֵּשׁ לֶחֶם נְדָבוֹת חֶרְפָּה הִיא לִי׃ ג Luke Luk 16:3 The manager said to himself, 'What shall I do, since my master is taking the management away from me? I am not strong enough to dig; I am ashamed to beg. And he said unto him, Take thy bill, and sit down quickly, and write fifty.(KJV) Luke 16:6 And he said, An hudreth measures of oyle; he saide to him, Take thy writing, and sitte downe quickely, and write fiftie.(Geneva) Luc 16:6 Cent mesures d'huile, répondit-il. And hee sayde, An hundreth measures of wheate. Then he saide to him, Take thy writing, and write foure score.(Geneva) Luc 16:7 Il dit ensuite à un autre: Et toi, combien dois-tu? He said to him, 'Take your bill, and write eighty.'(nasb) ======= Luke 16:8 ============ Luk 16:8 And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.(KJV) Luke 16:8 And the Lorde commended the vniust stewarde, because he had done wisely. Wherefore the children of this worlde are in their generation wiser then the children of light.(Geneva) Luc 16:8 Le maître loua l'économe infidèle de ce qu'il avait agi prudemment. Car les enfants de ce siècle sont plus prudents à l'égard de leurs semblables que ne le sont les enfants de lumière.(FR) וַיְשַׁבַּח הָאָדוֹן אֶת־בֶּן־הָעַוְלָה אֶת־הַסֹּכֵן אֲשֶׁר שִׂכֵּל אֶת־מַעֲשֵׂהוּ כִּי בְנֵי הָעוֹלָם הַזֶּה מַשְׂכִּילִים הֵם מֵעַל בְּנֵי הָאוֹר בְּדֹרֹתָם׃ ח Luke Luk 16:8 And his master praised the unrighteous manager because he had acted shrewdly; for the sons of this age are more shrewd in relation to their own kind than the sons of light. (nasb) ======= Luke 16:9 ============ Luk 16:9 And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.(KJV) Luke 16:9 And I say vnto you, Make you friends with the riches of iniquitie, that when ye shal want, they may receiue you into euerlasting habitations.(Geneva) Luc 16:9 Et moi, je vous dis: Faites-vous des amis avec les richesses injustes, pour qu'ils vous reçoivent dans les tabernacles éternels, quand elles viendront à vous manquer.(FR) וְאַף־אֲנִי אֹמֵר לָכֶם קְנוּ לָכֶם אֹהֲבִים בְּכֶסֶף מְקוֹר הָעַוְלָה וְכַאֲשֶׁר יָבֹא עַד־קִצּוֹ אָז יַאַסְפוּ אֶתְכֶם אֶל־מִשְׁכְּנוֹת עוֹלָם׃ ט Luke Luk 16:9 And I say to you, make friends for yourselves by means of the wealth of unrighteousness, so that when it fails, they will receive you into the eternal dwellings. (nasb) ======= Luke 16:11 ============ Luk 16:11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?(KJV) Luke 16:11 If then ye haue not ben faithful in the wicked riches, who wil trust you in the true treasure?(Geneva) Luc 16:11 Si donc vous n'avez pas été fidèles dans les richesses injustes, qui vous confiera les véritables?(FR) וְעַל־כֵּן אִם לֹא־נֶאֱמָנִים הֱיִיתֶם בְּהוֹן מָשְׁחָת מִי יַפְקִיד אֶתְכֶם עַל־הוֹן אֱמֶת׃ יא Luke Luk 16:11 Therefore if you have not been faithful in the use of unrighteous wealth, who will entrust the true riches to you? (nasb) ======= Luke 16:12 ============ Luk 16:12 And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own?(KJV) Luke 16:12 And if ye haue not bene faithfull in another mans goods, who shall giue you that which is yours?(Geneva) Luc 16:12 Et si vous n'avez pas été fidèles dans ce qui est à autrui, qui vous donnera ce qui est à vous?(FR) וְאִם נֶאֱמָנִים לֹא הֱיִיתֶם בְּקִנְיָן עֹבֵר לַאֲחֵרִים קִנְיָן עֹמֵד לְנַפְשְׁכֶם מִי יִתֵּן לָכֶם׃ יב Luke Luk 16:12 And if you have not been faithful in the use of that which is another's, who will give you that which is your own? (nasb) ======= Luke 16:13 ============ Luk 16:13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.(KJV) Luke 16:13 No seruaunt can serue two masters: for either he shal hate the one, and loue the other: or els he shal leane to the one, and despise the other. (nasb) ======= Luke 16:22 ============ Luk 16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;(KJV) Luke 16:22 And it was so that the begger died, and was caried by the Angels into Abrahams bosome. (nasb) ======= Luke 16:24 ============ Luk 16:24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.(KJV) Luke 16:24 Then he cried, and saide, Father Abraham, haue mercie on mee, and sende Lazarus that hee may dippe the tip of his finger in water, & coole my tongue: for I am tormented in this flame.(Geneva) Luc 16:24 Il s'écria: Père Abraham, aie pitié de moi, et envoie Lazare, pour qu'il trempe le bout de son doigt dans l'eau et me rafraîchisse la langue; car je souffre cruellement dans cette flamme.(FR) וַיִּצְעַק וַיֹּאמֶר אָבִי אַבְרָהָם חָנֵּנִי־נָא וּשְׁלַח אֶת־אֶלְעָזָר לִטְבֹּל אֶת־קְצֵה אֶצְבָּעוֹ בַּמַּיִם לְהָקֵר אֶת־לְשׁוֹנִי כִּי בֹּעֵר אָנֹכִי עַל־הַמּוֹקֵד הַזֶּה׃ כד Luke Luk 16:24 And he cried out and said, 'Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue, for I am in agony in this flame.'(nasb) ======= Luke 16:25 ============ Luk 16:25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.(KJV) Luke 16:25 But Abraham saide, Sonne, remember that thou in thy life time receiuedst thy pleasures, and likewise Lazarus paines: now therefore is he comforted, and thou art tormented.(Geneva) Luc 16:25 Abraham répondit: Mon enfant, souviens-toi que tu as reçu tes biens pendant ta vie, et que Lazare a eu les maux pendant la sienne; maintenant il est ici consolé, et toi, tu souffres.(FR) וַיֹּאמֶר אַבְרָהָם זְכָר־בְּנִי כִּי נִתַּן לְךָ כָּל־טוּבְךָ בְּחַיֶּיךָ וְאֶלְעָזָר בָּאַתְהוּ כָּל־רָעָה וְעַתָּה הוּא מֹצֵא תַּנְחוּמִים וְאַתָּה בְּמָצוֹק׃ כה Luke Luk 16:25 But Abraham said, 'Child, remember that during your life you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus bad things; but now he is being comforted here, and you are in agony.
