(nas) Eze 1:4 καὶ εἶδον καὶ ἰδοὺ πνεῦμα ἐξαῖρον ἤρχετο ἀπὸ βορρᾶ καὶ νεφέλη μεγάλη ἐν αὐτῷ καὶ φέγγος κύκλῳ αὐτοῦ καὶ πῦρ ἐξαστράπτον καὶ ἐν τῷ μέσῳ αὐτοῦ ὡς ὅρασις ἠλέκτρου ἐν μέσῳ τοῦ πυρὸς καὶ φέγγος ἐν αὐτῷ (lxx) Eze 1:4 Et vidi, et ecce ventus turbinis veniebat ab aquilone, et nubes magna, et ignis involvens, et splendor in circuitu ejus: et de medio ejus, quasi species electri, id est, de medio ignis:(vulgate) Ezekiel 1:4 And I looked, and beholde, a whirlewinde came out of the North, a great cloude and a fire wrapped about it, and a brightnesse was about it, and in the middes thereof, to wit, in the middes of the fire came out as the likenesse of amber.(Geneva) Eze 1:4 Und ich sah, und siehe, es kam ein ungestümer Wind von Mitternacht her mit einer großen Wolke voll Feuer, das allenthalben umher glänzte; und mitten in dem Feuer war es lichthell.(dhs) Eze 1:4 Then I looked, and behold, a whirlwind was coming out of the north, a great cloud with raging fire engulfing itself; and brightness was all around it and radiating out of its midst like the color of amber, out of the midst of the fire.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 1:5 ============ Eze 1:5 Within it there were figures resembling four living beings. And this was their appearance: they had human form. (nas) Eze 1:5 καὶ ἐν τῷ μέσῳ ὡς ὁμοίωμα τεσσάρων ζῴων καὶ αὕτη ἡ ὅρασις αὐτῶν ὁμοίωμα ἀνθρώπου ἐπ᾽ αὐτοῖς (lxx) Eze 1:5 et in medio ejus similitudo quatuor animalium. Et hic aspectus eorum, similitudo hominis in eis.(vulgate) Ezekiel 1:5 Also out of the middes therof came the likenesse of foure beastes, and this was their forme: they had the appearance of a man.(Geneva) Eze 1:5 Und darin war es gestaltet wie vier Tiere, und dieselben waren anzusehen wie Menschen.(dhs) Eze 1:5 Also from within it came the likeness of four living creatures. (nas) Eze 1:7 καὶ τὰ σκέλη αὐτῶν ὀρθά καὶ πτερωτοὶ οἱ πόδες αὐτῶν καὶ σπινθῆρες ὡς ἐξαστράπτων χαλκός καὶ ἐλαφραὶ αἱ πτέρυγες αὐτῶν (lxx) Eze 1:7 Pedes eorum, pedes recti, et planta pedis eorum quasi planta pedis vituli: et scintillæ quasi aspectus æris candentis.(vulgate) Ezekiel 1:7 And their feete were streight feete, and the sole of their feete was like the sole of a calues foote, and they sparkled like the appearance of bright brasse.(Geneva) Eze 1:7 Und ihre Beine standen gerade, und ihre Füße waren gleich wie Rinderfüße und glänzten wie helles glattes Erz.(dhs) Eze 1:7 Their legs were straight, and the soles of their feet were like the soles of calves' feet. (nas) Eze 1:9 οὐκ ἐπεστρέφοντο ἐν τῷ βαδίζειν αὐτά ἕκαστον κατέναντι τοῦ προσώπου αὐτῶν ἐπορεύοντο (lxx) Eze 1:9 Junctæque erant pennæ eorum alterius ad alterum: non revertebantur cum incederent, sed unumquodque ante faciem suam gradiebatur.(vulgate) Ezekiel 1:9 They where ioyned by their wings one to another, and when they went forth, they returned not, but euery one went streight forward.(Geneva) Eze 1:9 Und je einer der Flügel rührte an den andern; und wenn sie gingen, mußten sie nicht herumlenken, sondern wo sie hin gingen, gingen sie stracks vor sich.(dhs) Eze 1:9 Their wings touched one another. The creatures did not turn when they went, but each one went straight forward.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 1:10 ============ Eze 1:10 As for the form of their faces, each had the face of a man; all four had the face of a lion on the right and the face of a bull on the left, and all four had the face of an eagle. (nas) Eze 1:10 καὶ ὁμοίωσις τῶν προσώπων αὐτῶν πρόσωπον ἀνθρώπου καὶ πρόσωπον λέοντος ἐκ δεξιῶν τοῖς τέσσαρσιν καὶ πρόσωπον μόσχου ἐξ ἀριστερῶν τοῖς τέσσαρσιν καὶ πρόσωπον ἀετοῦ τοῖς τέσσαρσιν (lxx) Eze 1:10 Similitudo autem vultus eorum, facies hominis et facies leonis a dextris ipsorum quatuor, facies autem bovis a sinistris ipsorum quatuor, et facies aquilæ desuper ipsorum quatuor.(vulgate) Ezekiel 1:10 And the similitude of their faces was as the face of a man: and they foure had the face of a lyon on the right side, and they foure had the face of a bullocke on the left side: they foure also had the face of an egle.(Geneva) Eze 1:10 Ihre Angesichter waren vorn gleich einem Menschen, und zur rechten Seite gleich einem Löwen bei allen vieren, und zur linken Seite gleich einem Ochsen bei allen vieren, und hinten gleich einem Adler bei allen vieren.(dhs) Eze 1:10 As for the likeness of their faces, each had the face of a man; each of the four had the face of a lion on the right side, each of the four had the face of an ox on the left side, and each of the four had the face of an eagle.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 1:11 ============ Eze 1:11 Such were their faces. Their wings were spread out above; each had two touching another being, and two covering their bodies. (nas) Eze 1:11 καὶ αἱ πτέρυγες αὐτῶν ἐκτεταμέναι ἄνωθεν τοῖς τέσσαρσιν ἑκατέρῳ δύο συνεζευγμέναι πρὸς ἀλλήλας καὶ δύο ἐπεκάλυπτον ἐπάνω τοῦ σώματος αὐτῶν (lxx) Eze 1:11 Facies eorum et pennæ eorum extentæ desuper: duæ pennæ singulorum jungebantur, et duæ tegebant corpora eorum.~(vulgate) Ezekiel 1:11 Thus were their faces: but their wings were spred out aboue: two wings of euery one were ioined one to another, & two couered their bodies.(Geneva) Eze 1:11 Und ihre Angesichter und Flügel waren obenher zerteilt, daß je zwei Flügel zusammenschlugen, und mit zwei Flügeln bedeckten sie ihren Leib.(dhs) Eze 1:11 Thus were their faces. (nas) Eze 1:12 καὶ ἑκάτερον κατὰ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ ἐπορεύετο οὗ ἂν ἦν τὸ πνεῦμα πορευόμενον ἐπορεύοντο καὶ οὐκ ἐπέστρεφον (lxx) Eze 1:12 Et unumquodque eorum coram facie sua ambulabat: ubi erat impetus spiritus, illuc gradiebantur, nec revertebantur cum ambularent.(vulgate) Ezekiel 1:12 And euery one went streight forward: they went whither their spirit led them, and they returned not when they went forth.(Geneva) Eze 1:12 Wo sie hin gingen, da gingen sie stracks vor sich, sie gingen aber, wo der sie hin trieb, und mußten nicht herumlenken, wenn sie gingen.(dhs) Eze 1:12 And each one went straight forward; they went wherever the spirit wanted to go, and they did not turn when they went.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 1:13 ============ Eze 1:13 In the midst of the living beings there was something that looked like burning coals of fire, like torches darting back and forth among the living beings. The fire was bright, and lightning was flashing from the fire. (nas) Eze 1:13 καὶ ἐν μέσῳ τῶν ζῴων ὅρασις ὡς ἀνθράκων πυρὸς καιομένων ὡς ὄψις λαμπάδων συστρεφομένων ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν ζῴων καὶ φέγγος τοῦ πυρός καὶ ἐκ τοῦ πυρὸς ἐξεπορεύετο ἀστραπή (lxx) Eze 1:13 Et similitudo animalium, aspectus eorum quasi carbonum ignis ardentium, et quasi aspectus lampadarum: hæc erat visio discurrens in medio animalium, splendor ignis, et de igne fulgur egrediens.(vulgate) Ezekiel 1:13 The similitude also of the beasts, and their appearance was like burning coles of fire, & like the appearance of lampes: for the fire ran among the beastes, and the fire gaue a glister, and out of the fire there went lightning.(Geneva) Eze 1:13 Und die Tiere waren anzusehen wie feurige Kohlen, die da brennen, und wie Fackeln; und das Feuer fuhr hin zwischen den Tieren und gab einen Glanz von sich, und aus dem Feuer gingen Blitze.(dhs) Eze 1:13 As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, like the appearance of torches going back and forth among the living creatures. The fire was bright, and out of the fire went lightning.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 1:14 ============ Eze 1:14 And the living beings ran to and fro like bolts of lightning. (nas) Eze 1:14 - - (lxx) Eze 1:14 Et animalia ibant et revertebantur, in similitudinem fulguris coruscantis.(vulgate) Ezekiel 1:14 And the beastes ranne, and returned like vnto lightning.(Geneva) Eze 1:14 Die Tiere aber liefen hin und her wie der Blitz.(dhs) Eze 1:14 And the living creatures ran back and forth, in appearance like a flash of lightning.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 1:15 ============ Eze 1:15 Now as I looked at the living beings, behold, there was one wheel on the earth beside the living beings, for each of the four of them. (nas) Eze 1:15 καὶ εἶδον καὶ ἰδοὺ τροχὸς εἷς ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἐχόμενος τῶν ζῴων τοῖς τέσσαρσιν (lxx) Eze 1:15 Cumque aspicerem animalia, apparuit rota una super terram juxta animalia, habens quatuor facies.(vulgate) Ezekiel 1:15 Nowe as I behelde the beastes, beholde, a wheele appeared vpon the earth by the beastes, hauing foure faces.(Geneva) Eze 1:15 Als ich die Tiere so sah, siehe, da stand ein Rad auf der Erde bei den vier Tieren und war anzusehen wie vier Räder.(dhs) Eze 1:15 Now as I looked at the living creatures, behold, a wheel was on the earth beside each living creature with its four faces.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 1:16 ============ Eze 1:16 The appearance of the wheels and their workmanship was like sparkling beryl, and all four of them had the same form, their appearance and workmanship being as if one wheel were within another. (nas) Eze 1:16 καὶ τὸ εἶδος τῶν τροχῶν ὡς εἶδος θαρσις καὶ ὁμοίωμα ἓν τοῖς τέσσαρσιν καὶ τὸ ἔργον αὐτῶν ἦν καθὼς ἂν εἴη τροχὸς ἐν τροχῷ (lxx) Eze 1:16 Et aspectus rotarum et opus earum quasi visio maris: et una similitudo ipsarum quatuor: et aspectus earum et opera quasi sit rota in medio rotæ.(vulgate) Ezekiel 1:16 The facion of the wheeles and their worke was like vnto a chrysolite: and they foure had one forme, and their facion, and their worke was as one wheele in another wheele.(Geneva) Eze 1:16 Und die Räder waren wie Türkis und waren alle vier eins wie das andere, und sie waren anzusehen, als wäre ein Rad im andern.(dhs) Eze 1:16 The appearance of the wheels and their workings was like the color of beryl, and all four had the same likeness. (nas) Eze 1:17 ἐπὶ τὰ τέσσαρα μέρη αὐτῶν ἐπορεύοντο οὐκ ἐπέστρεφον ἐν τῷ πορεύεσθαι αὐτὰ (lxx) Eze 1:17 Per quatuor partes earum euntes ibant, et non revertebantur cum ambularent.(vulgate) Ezekiel 1:17 Whe they went, they went vpo their foure sides, and they returned not when they went.(Geneva) Eze 1:17 Wenn sie gehen wollten, konnten sie nach allen ihren vier Seiten gehen und sie mußten nicht herumlenken, wenn sie gingen.(dhs) Eze 1:17 When they moved, they went toward any one of four directions; they did not turn aside when they went.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 1:18 ============ Eze 1:18 As for their rims they were lofty and awesome, and the rims of all four of them were full of eyes round about. (nas) Eze 1:18 οὐδ᾽ οἱ νῶτοι αὐτῶν καὶ ὕψος ἦν αὐτοῖς καὶ εἶδον αὐτά καὶ οἱ νῶτοι αὐτῶν πλήρεις ὀφθαλμῶν κυκλόθεν τοῖς τέσσαρσιν (lxx) Eze 1:18 Statura quoque erat rotis, et altitudo, et horribilis aspectus: et totum corpus oculis plenum in circuitu ipsarum quatuor.(vulgate) Ezekiel 1:18 They had also rings, and height, and were fearefull to beholde, and their rings were full of eyes, round about them foure.(Geneva) Eze 1:18 Ihre Felgen und Höhe waren schrecklich; und ihre Felgen waren voller Augen um und um an allen vier Rädern.(dhs) Eze 1:18 As for their rims, they were so high they were awesome; and their rims were full of eyes, all around the four of them.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 1:19 ============ Eze 1:19 Whenever the living beings moved, the wheels moved with them. And whenever the living beings rose from the earth, the wheels rose also. (nas) Eze 1:19 καὶ ἐν τῷ πορεύεσθαι τὰ ζῷα ἐπορεύοντο οἱ τροχοὶ ἐχόμενοι αὐτῶν καὶ ἐν τῷ ἐξαίρειν τὰ ζῷα ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς ἐξῄροντο οἱ τροχοί (lxx) Eze 1:19 Cumque ambularent animalia, ambulabant pariter et rotæ juxta ea: et cum elevarentur animalia de terra, elevabantur simul et rotæ.(vulgate) Ezekiel 1:19 And when the beastes went, the wheeles went with them: and when the beasts were lift vp from the earth, the wheeles were lift vp.(Geneva) Eze 1:19 Auch wenn die vier Tiere gingen, so gingen die Räder auch neben ihnen; und wenn die Tiere sich von der Erde emporhoben, so hoben sich die Räder auch empor.(dhs) Eze 1:19 When the living creatures went, the wheels went beside them; and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 1:20 ============ Eze 1:20 Wherever the spirit was about to go, they would go in that direction. And the wheels rose close beside them; for the spirit of the living beings was in the wheels. (nas) Eze 1:20 οὗ ἂν ἦν ἡ νεφέλη ἐκεῖ τὸ πνεῦμα τοῦ πορεύεσθαι ἐπορεύοντο τὰ ζῷα καὶ οἱ τροχοὶ καὶ ἐξῄροντο σὺν αὐτοῖς διότι πνεῦμα ζωῆς ἦν ἐν τοῖς τροχοῖς (lxx) Eze 1:20 Quocumque ibat spiritus, illuc, eunte spiritu, et rotæ pariter elevabantur sequentes eum: spiritus enim vitæ erat in rotis.(vulgate) Ezekiel 1:20 Whither the spirit led them, they went, & thither did the spirite of the wheeles leade them, and the wheeles were lifted vp besides them: for the spirit of the beastes was in the wheeles.(Geneva) Eze 1:20 Wo der Geist sie hin trieb, da gingen sie hin, und die Räder hoben sich neben ihnen empor; denn es war der Geist der Tiere in den Rädern.(dhs) Eze 1:20 Wherever the spirit wanted to go, they went, because there the spirit went; and the wheels were lifted together with them, for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 1:21 ============ Eze 1:21 Whenever those went, these went; and whenever those stood still, these stood still. And whenever those rose from the earth, the wheels rose close beside them; for the spirit of the living beings was in the wheels. (nas) Eze 1:21 ἐν τῷ πορεύεσθαι αὐτὰ ἐπορεύοντο καὶ ἐν τῷ ἑστάναι αὐτὰ εἱστήκεισαν καὶ ἐν τῷ ἐξαίρειν αὐτὰ ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς ἐξῄροντο σὺν αὐτοῖς ὅτι πνεῦμα ζωῆς ἦν ἐν τοῖς τροχοῖς (lxx) Eze 1:21 Cum euntibus ibant, et cum stantibus stabant: et cum elevatis a terra, pariter elevabantur et rotæ sequentes ea, quia spiritus vitæ erat in rotis.~(vulgate) Ezekiel 1:21 When the beastes went, they went, & when they stoode, they stoode, and when they were lifted vp from the earth, the wheeles were lifted vp besides them: for the spirite of the beastes was in the wheeles.(Geneva) Eze 1:21 Wenn sie gingen, so gingen diese auch; wenn sie standen, so standen diese auch; und wenn sie sich emporhoben von der Erde, so hoben sich auch die Räder neben ihnen empor; denn es war der Geist der Tiere in den Rädern.(dhs) Eze 1:21 When those went, these went; when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up together with them, for the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 1:22 ============ Eze 1:22 Now over the heads of the living beings there was something like an expanse, like the awesome gleam of crystal, spread out over their heads. Such was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell on my face and heard a voice speaking. (nas) Eze 1:28 ὡς ὅρασις τόξου ὅταν ᾖ ἐν τῇ νεφέλῃ ἐν ἡμέρᾳ ὑετοῦ οὕτως ἡ στάσις τοῦ φέγγους κυκλόθεν αὕτη ἡ ὅρασις ὁμοιώματος δόξης κυρίου καὶ εἶδον καὶ πίπτω ἐπὶ πρόσωπόν μου καὶ ἤκουσα φωνὴν λαλοῦντος (lxx) Eze 1:28 velut aspectum arcus cum fuerit in nube in die pluviæ. Hic erat aspectus splendoris per gyrum.(vulgate) Ezekiel 1:28 As the likenesse of the bowe, that is in the cloude in the day of raine, so was the appearance of the light round about.
