(nas) Eze 3:2 καὶ διήνοιξα τὸ στόμα μου καὶ ἐψώμισέν με τὴν κεφαλίδα (lxx) Eze 3:2 Et aperui os meum, et cibavit me volumine illo:(vulgate) Ezekiel 3:2 So I opened my mouth, and he gaue mee this roule to eate.(Geneva) Eze 3:2 Da tat ich meinen Mund auf, und er gab mir den Brief zu essen(dhs) Eze 3:2 So I opened my mouth, and He caused me to eat that scroll.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 3:3 ============ Eze 3:3 He said to me, "Son of man, feed your stomach and fill your body with this scroll which I am giving you." Then I ate it, and it was sweet as honey in my mouth. (nas) Eze 3:3 καὶ εἶπεν πρός με υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου τὸ στόμα σου φάγεται καὶ ἡ κοιλία σου πλησθήσεται τῆς κεφαλίδος ταύτης τῆς δεδομένης εἰς σέ καὶ ἔφαγον αὐτήν καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ στόματί μου ὡς μέλι γλυκάζον (lxx) Eze 3:3 et dixit ad me: Fili hominis, venter tuus comedet, et viscera tua complebuntur volumine isto quod ego do tibi. Et comedi illud, et factum est in ore meo sicut mel dulce.(vulgate) Ezekiel 3:3 And he said vnto me, Sonne of man, cause thy belly to eate, and fill thy bowels with this roule that I giue thee. Then did I eate it, and it was in my mouth as sweete as honie.(Geneva) Eze 3:3 und sprach zu mir: Du Menschenkind, du mußt diesen Brief, den ich dir gebe, in deinen Leib essen und deinen Bauch damit füllen. Da aß ich ihn, und er war in meinem Munde so süß wie Honig.(dhs) Eze 3:3 And He said to me, "Son of man, feed your belly, and fill your stomach with this scroll that I give you." So I ate, and it was in my mouth like honey in sweetness.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 3:4 ============ Eze 3:4 Then He said to me, "Son of man, go to the house of Israel and speak with My words to them. (nas) Eze 3:4 καὶ εἶπεν πρός με υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου βάδιζε εἴσελθε πρὸς τὸν οἶκον τοῦ Ισραηλ καὶ λάλησον τοὺς λόγους μου πρὸς αὐτούς (lxx) Eze 3:4 Et dixit ad me: Fili hominis, vade ad domum Israël, et loqueris verba mea ad eos.(vulgate) Ezekiel 3:4 And he said vnto me, Sonne of man, goe, and enter into the house of Israel, and declare them my wordes.(Geneva) Eze 3:4 Und er sprach zu mir: Du Menschenkind, gehe hin zum Hause Israel und predige ihnen meine Worte.(dhs) Eze 3:4 Then He said to me: "Son of man, go to the house of Israel and speak with My words to them.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 3:5 ============ Eze 3:5 For you are not being sent to a people of unintelligible speech or difficult language, but to the house of Israel, (nas) Eze 3:5 διότι οὐ πρὸς λαὸν βαθύχειλον καὶ βαρύγλωσσον σὺ ἐξαποστέλλῃ πρὸς τὸν οἶκον τοῦ Ισραηλ (lxx) Eze 3:5 Non enim ad populum profundi sermonis et ignotæ linguæ tu mitteris ad domum Israël:(vulgate) Ezekiel 3:5 For thou art not sent to a people of an vnknowen tongue, or of an hard language, but to the house of Israel,(Geneva) Eze 3:5 Denn ich sende dich ja nicht zu einem Volk, das eine fremde Rede und unbekannte Sprache hat, sondern zum Hause Israel;(dhs) Eze 3:5 For you are not sent to a people of unfamiliar speech and of hard language, but to the house of Israel,(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 3:6 ============ Eze 3:6 nor to many peoples of unintelligible speech or difficult language, whose words you cannot understand. But I have sent you to them who should listen to you; (nas) Eze 3:6 οὐδὲ πρὸς λαοὺς πολλοὺς ἀλλοφώνους ἢ ἀλλογλώσσους οὐδὲ στιβαροὺς τῇ γλώσσῃ ὄντας ὧν οὐκ ἀκούσῃ τοὺς λόγους αὐτῶν καὶ εἰ πρὸς τοιούτους ἐξαπέστειλά σε οὗτοι ἂν εἰσήκουσάν σου (lxx) Eze 3:6 neque ad populos multos profundi sermonis et ignotæ linguæ, quorum non possis audire sermones: et si ad illos mittereris, ipsi audirent te:(vulgate) Ezekiel 3:6 Not to many people of an vnknowen tongue, or of an harde language, whose wordes thou canst not vnderstand: yet if I should sende thee to them, they would obey thee.(Geneva) Eze 3:6 ja, freilich nicht zu großen Völkern, die fremde Rede und unbekannte Sprache haben, welcher Worte du nicht verstehen könntest. Und wenn ich dich gleich zu denselben sendete, würden sie dich doch gern hören.(dhs) Eze 3:6 not to many people of unfamiliar speech and of hard language, whose words you cannot understand. Surely, had I sent you to them, they would have listened to you.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 3:7 ============ Eze 3:7 yet the house of Israel will not be willing to listen to you, since they are not willing to listen to Me. Surely the whole house of Israel is stubborn and obstinate. (nas) Eze 3:7 ὁ δὲ οἶκος τοῦ Ισραηλ οὐ μὴ θελήσωσιν εἰσακοῦσαί σου διότι οὐ βούλονται εἰσακούειν μου ὅτι πᾶς ὁ οἶκος Ισραηλ φιλόνεικοί εἰσιν καὶ σκληροκάρδιοι (lxx) Eze 3:7 domus autem Israël nolunt audire te, quia nolunt audire me: omnis quippe domus Israël attrita fronte est, et duro corde.(vulgate) Ezekiel 3:7 But the house of Israel will not obey thee: for they will not obey me: yea, all the house of Israel are impudent and stiffe hearted.(Geneva) Eze 3:7 Aber das Haus Israel will dich nicht hören, denn sie wollen mich selbst nicht hören; denn das ganze Haus Israel hat harte Stirnen und verstockte Herzen.(dhs) Eze 3:7 But the house of Israel will not listen to you, because they will not listen to Me; for all the house of Israel are impudent and hard-hearted.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 3:8 ============ Eze 3:8 Behold, I have made your face as hard as their faces and your forehead as hard as their foreheads. (nas) Eze 3:8 καὶ ἰδοὺ δέδωκα τὸ πρόσωπόν σου δυνατὸν κατέναντι τῶν προσώπων αὐτῶν καὶ τὸ νεῖκός σου κατισχύσω κατέναντι τοῦ νείκους αὐτῶν (lxx) Eze 3:8 Ecce dedi faciem tuam valentiorem faciebus eorum, et frontem tuam duriorem frontibus eorum:(vulgate) Ezekiel 3:8 Beholde, I haue made thy face strong against their faces, and thy forehead harde against their foreheads.(Geneva) Eze 3:8 Siehe, ich habe dein Angesicht hart gemacht gegen ihr Angesicht und deine Stirn gegen ihre Stirn.(dhs) Eze 3:8 Behold, I have made your face strong against their faces, and your forehead strong against their foreheads.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 3:9 ============ Eze 3:9 Like emery harder than flint I have made your forehead. Do not be afraid of them or be dismayed before them, though they are a rebellious house."(nas) Eze 3:9 καὶ ἔσται διὰ παντὸς κραταιότερον πέτρας μὴ φοβηθῇς ἀπ᾽ αὐτῶν μηδὲ πτοηθῇς ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν διότι οἶκος παραπικραίνων ἐστίν (lxx) Eze 3:9 ut adamantem et ut silicem dedi faciem tuam: ne timeas eos, neque metuas a facie eorum, quia domus exasperans est.~(vulgate) Ezekiel 3:9 I haue made thy forehead as the adamant, and harder then the flint: feare them not therefore, neither be afraid at their lookes: for they are a rebellious house.(Geneva) Eze 3:9 Ja, ich habe deine Stirn so hart wie ein Demant, der härter ist denn ein Fels, gemacht. Darum fürchte dich nicht, entsetze dich auch nicht vor ihnen, daß sie so ein ungehorsames Haus sind.(dhs) Eze 3:9 Like adamant stone, harder than flint, I have made your forehead; do not be afraid of them, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house."(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 3:10 ============ Eze 3:10 Moreover, He said to me, "Son of man, take into your heart all My words which I will speak to you and listen closely. (nas) Eze 3:10 καὶ εἶπεν πρός με υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου πάντας τοὺς λόγους οὓς λελάληκα μετὰ σοῦ λαβὲ εἰς τὴν καρδίαν σου καὶ τοῖς ὠσίν σου ἄκουε (lxx) Eze 3:10 Et dixit ad me: Fili hominis, omnes sermones meos quos ego loquor ad te, assume in corde tuo, et auribus tuis audi:(vulgate) Ezekiel 3:10 He said moreouer vnto me, Sonne of man, receiue in thine heart al my words that I speake vnto thee, and heare them with thine eares,(Geneva) Eze 3:10 Und er sprach zu mir: Du Menschenkind, alle meine Worte, die ich dir sage, die fasse zu Herzen und nimm sie zu Ohren!(dhs) Eze 3:10 Moreover He said to me: "Son of man, receive into your heart all My words that I speak to you, and hear with your ears.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 3:11 ============ Eze 3:11 Go to the exiles, to the sons of your people, and speak to them and tell them, whether they listen or not, 'Thus says the Lord God.'"(nas) Eze 3:11 καὶ βάδιζε εἴσελθε εἰς τὴν αἰχμαλωσίαν πρὸς τοὺς υἱοὺς τοῦ λαοῦ σου καὶ λαλήσεις πρὸς αὐτοὺς καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτούς τάδε λέγει κύριος ἐὰν ἄρα ἀκούσωσιν ἐὰν ἄρα ἐνδῶσιν (lxx) Eze 3:11 et vade, ingredere ad transmigrationem, ad filios populi tui, et loqueris ad eos: et dices eis: Hæc dicit Dominus Deus: si forte audiant et quiescant.(vulgate) Ezekiel 3:11 And goe and enter to them that are led away captiues vnto the children of thy people, and speake vnto them, and tell them, Thus saith the Lord God: but surely they will not heare, neither will they in deede cease.(Geneva) Eze 3:11 Und gehe hin zu den Gefangenen deines Volks und predige ihnen und sprich zu ihnen: So spricht der HERR HERR! sie hören's oder lassen's.(dhs) Eze 3:11 And go, get to the captives, to the children of your people, and speak to them and tell them, 'Thus says the Lord God,' whether they hear, or whether they refuse."(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 3:12 ============ Eze 3:12 Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard a great rumbling sound behind me, "Blessed be the glory of the Lord in His place."(nas) Eze 3:12 καὶ ἀνέλαβέν με πνεῦμα καὶ ἤκουσα κατόπισθέν μου φωνὴν σεισμοῦ μεγάλου εὐλογημένη ἡ δόξα κυρίου ἐκ τοῦ τόπου αὐτοῦ (lxx) Eze 3:12 Et assumpsit me spiritus, et audivi post me vocem commotionis magnæ: Benedicta gloria Domini de loco suo:(vulgate) Ezekiel 3:12 Then the spirite tooke me vp, and I heard behinde me a noise of a great russhing, saying, Blessed be ye glorie of the Lord out of his place.(Geneva) Eze 3:12 Und ein Wind hob mich auf, und ich hörte hinter mir ein Getön wie eines großen Erdbebens: Gelobt sei die Herrlichkeit des HERRN an ihrem Ort!(dhs) Eze 3:12 Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard behind me a great thunderous voice: "Blessed is the glory of the Lord from His place!"(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 3:13 ============ Eze 3:13 And I heard the sound of the wings of the living beings touching one another and the sound of the wheels beside them, even a great rumbling sound. (nas) Eze 3:13 καὶ εἶδον φωνὴν πτερύγων τῶν ζῴων πτερυσσομένων ἑτέρα πρὸς τὴν ἑτέραν καὶ φωνὴ τῶν τροχῶν ἐχομένη αὐτῶν καὶ φωνὴ τοῦ σεισμοῦ (lxx) Eze 3:13 et vocem alarum animalium percutientium alteram ad alteram, et vocem rotarum sequentium animalia, et vocem commotionis magnæ.(vulgate) Ezekiel 3:13 I heard also the noyse of the wings of the beasts, that touched one another, and the ratling of the wheeles that were by them, euen a noyse of a great russhing.(Geneva) Eze 3:13 Und war ein Rauschen von den Flügeln der Tiere, die aneinander schlugen, und auch das Rasseln der Räder, so hart bei ihnen waren, und das Getön eines großen Erdbebens.(dhs) Eze 3:13 I also heard the noise of the wings of the living creatures that touched one another, and the noise of the wheels beside them, and a great thunderous noise.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 3:14 ============ Eze 3:14 So the Spirit lifted me up and took me away; and I went embittered in the rage of my spirit, and the hand of the Lord was strong on me. (nas) Eze 3:14 καὶ τὸ πνεῦμα ἐξῆρέν με καὶ ἀνέλαβέν με καὶ ἐπορεύθην ἐν ὁρμῇ τοῦ πνεύματός μου καὶ χεὶρ κυρίου ἐγένετο ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ κραταιά (lxx) Eze 3:14 Spiritus quoque levavit me, et assumpsit me: et abii amarus in indignatione spiritus mei: manus enim Domini erat mecum, confortans me.(vulgate) Ezekiel 3:14 So the spirit lift me vp, and tooke me away and I went in bitternesse, and indignation of my spirite, but the hand of the Lorde was strong vpon me.(Geneva) Eze 3:14 Da hob mich der Wind auf und führte mich weg. Und ich fuhr dahin in bitterem Grimm, und des HERRN Hand hielt mich fest.(dhs) Eze 3:14 So the Spirit lifted me up and took me away, and I went in bitterness, in the heat of my spirit; but the hand of the Lord was strong upon me.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 3:15 ============ Eze 3:15 Then I came to the exiles who lived beside the river Chebar at Tel-abib, and I sat there seven days where they were living, causing consternation among them. (nas) Eze 3:15 καὶ εἰσῆλθον εἰς τὴν αἰχμαλωσίαν μετέωρος καὶ περιῆλθον τοὺς κατοικοῦντας ἐπὶ τοῦ ποταμοῦ τοῦ Χοβαρ τοὺς ὄντας ἐκεῖ καὶ ἐκάθισα ἐκεῖ ἑπτὰ ἡμέρας ἀναστρεφόμενος ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῶν (lxx) Eze 3:15 Et veni ad transmigrationem, ad acervum novarum frugum, ad eos qui habitabant juxta flumen Chobar: et sedi ubi illi sedebant, et mansi ibi septem diebus mœrens in medio eorum.(vulgate) Ezekiel 3:15 Then I came to them that were led away captiues to Tel-abib, that dwelt by the riuer Chebar, and I sate where they sate, and remained there astonished among them seuen dayes.(Geneva) Eze 3:15 Und ich kam zu den Gefangenen, die am Wasser Chebar wohnten, gen Thel-Abib, und setzte mich zu ihnen, die da saßen, und blieb daselbst unter ihnen sieben Tage ganz traurig.(dhs) Eze 3:15 Then I came to the captives at Tel Abib, who dwelt by the River Chebar; and I sat where they sat, and remained there astonished among them seven days.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 3:16 ============ Eze 3:16 At the end of seven days the word of the Lord came to me, saying, (nas) Eze 3:16 καὶ ἐγένετο μετὰ τὰς ἑπτὰ ἡμέρας λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων (lxx) Eze 3:16 Cum autem pertransissent septem dies, factum est verbum Domini ad me, dicens:(vulgate) Ezekiel 3:16 And at the ende of seuen dayes, the worde of the Lorde came againe vnto me, saying,(Geneva) Eze 3:16 Und da die sieben Tage um waren, geschah des HERRN Wort zu mir und sprach:(dhs) Eze 3:16 Now it came to pass at the end of seven days that the word of the Lord came to me, saying,(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 3:17 ============ Eze 3:17 "Son of man, I have appointed you a watchman to the house of Israel; whenever you hear a word from My mouth, warn them from Me. (nas) Eze 3:17 υἱὲ ἀνθρώπου σκοπὸν δέδωκά σε τῷ οἴκῳ Ισραηλ καὶ ἀκούσῃ ἐκ στόματός μου λόγον καὶ διαπειλήσῃ αὐτοῖς παρ᾽ ἐμοῦ (lxx) Eze 3:17 Fili hominis, speculatorem dedi te domui Israël, et audies de ore meo verbum, et annuntiabis eis ex me.(vulgate) Ezekiel 3:17 Sonne of man, I haue made thee a watchman vnto the house of Israel: therefore heare the worde at my mouth, and giue them warning from me.(Geneva) Eze 3:17 Du Menschenkind, ich habe dich zum Wächter gesetzt über das Haus Israel; du sollst aus meinem Munde das Wort hören und sie von meinetwegen warnen.(dhs) Eze 3:17 "Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear a word from My mouth, and give them warning from Me:(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 3:18 ============ Eze 3:18 When I say to the wicked, 'You will surely die,' and you do not warn him or speak out to warn the wicked from his wicked way that he may live, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand. (nas) Eze 3:18 ἐν τῷ λέγειν με τῷ ἀνόμῳ θανάτῳ θανατωθήσῃ καὶ οὐ διεστείλω αὐτῷ οὐδὲ ἐλάλησας τοῦ διαστείλασθαι τῷ ἀνόμῳ ἀποστρέψαι ἀπὸ τῶν ὁδῶν αὐτοῦ τοῦ ζῆσαι αὐτόν ὁ ἄνομος ἐκεῖνος τῇ ἀδικίᾳ αὐτοῦ ἀποθανεῖται καὶ τὸ αἷμα αὐτοῦ ἐκ χειρός σου ἐκζητήσω (lxx) Eze 3:18 Si, dicente me ad impium: Morte morieris, non annuntiaveris ei, neque locutus fueris ut avertatur a via sua impia et vivat, ipse impius in iniquitate sua morietur, sanguinem autem ejus de manu tua requiram.(vulgate) Ezekiel 3:18 When I shall say vnto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die, and thou giuest not him warning, nor speakest to admonish the wicked of his wicked way, that he may liue, the same wicked man shall die in his iniquitie: but his blood will I require at thine hande.(Geneva) Eze 3:18 Wenn ich dem Gottlosen sage: Du mußt des Todes sterben, und du warnst ihn nicht und sagst es ihm nicht, damit sich der Gottlose vor seinem gottlosen Wesen hüte, auf daß er lebendig bleibe: so wird der Gottlose um seiner Sünde willen sterben; aber sein Blut will ich von deiner Hand fordern.(dhs) Eze 3:18 When I say to the wicked, 'You shall surely die,' and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 3:19 ============ Eze 3:19 Yet if you have warned the wicked and he does not turn from his wickedness or from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered yourself. (nas) Eze 3:19 καὶ σὺ ἐὰν διαστείλῃ τῷ ἀνόμῳ καὶ μὴ ἀποστρέψῃ ἀπὸ τῆς ἀνομίας αὐτοῦ καὶ τῆς ὁδοῦ αὐτοῦ ὁ ἄνομος ἐκεῖνος ἐν τῇ ἀδικίᾳ αὐτοῦ ἀποθανεῖται καὶ σὺ τὴν ψυχήν σου ῥύσῃ (lxx) Eze 3:19 Si autem tu annuntiaveris impio, et ille non fuerit conversus ab impietate sua et a via sua impia, ipse quidem in iniquitate sua morietur: tu autem animam tuam liberasti.(vulgate) Ezekiel 3:19 Yet if thou warne the wicked, and he turne not from his wickednesse, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquitie, but thou hast deliuered thy soule.(Geneva) Eze 3:19 Wo du aber den Gottlosen warnst und er sich nicht bekehrt von seinem gottlosen Wesen und Wege, so wird er um seiner Sünde willen sterben; aber du hast deine Seele errettet.(dhs) Eze 3:19 Yet, if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.(nkjv) ======= Ezekiel 3:20 ============ Eze 3:20 Again, when a righteous man turns away from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I place an obstacle before him, he will die; since you have not warned him, he shall die in his sin, and his righteous deeds which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require at your hand. (nas) Eze 3:20 καὶ ἐν τῷ ἀποστρέφειν δίκαιον ἀπὸ τῶν δικαιοσυνῶν αὐτοῦ καὶ ποιήσῃ παράπτωμα καὶ δώσω τὴν βάσανον εἰς πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ αὐτὸς ἀποθανεῖται ὅτι οὐ διεστείλω αὐτῷ καὶ ἐν ταῖς ἁμαρτίαις αὐτοῦ ἀποθανεῖται διότι οὐ μὴ μνησθῶσιν αἱ δικαιοσύναι αὐτοῦ ἃς ἐποίησεν καὶ τὸ αἷμα αὐτοῦ ἐκ τῆς χειρός σου ἐκζητήσω (lxx) Eze 3:20 Sed et si conversus justus a justitia sua fuerit, et fecerit iniquitatem, ponam offendiculum coram eo: ipse morietur quia non annuntiasti ei. In peccato suo morietur, et non erunt in memoria justitiæ ejus quas fecit: sanguinem vero ejus de manu tua requiram.(vulgate) Ezekiel 3:20 Likewise if a righteous man turne from his righteousnesse, and commit iniquitie, I will lay a stumbling blocke before him, and he shal die, because thou hast not giuen him warning: he shall die in his sinne, and his righteous deedes, which he hath done, shall not be remembred: but his blood will I require at thine hand.(Geneva) Eze 3:20 Und wenn sich ein Gerechter von seiner Gerechtigkeit wendet und tut Böses, so werde ich ihn lassen anlaufen, daß er muß sterben.
