Nor let the eunuch say, "Behold, I am a dry tree."(nasb) ======= Isaiah 56:4 ============ Isa 56:4 For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;(KJV) Isaiah 56:4 For thus saith the Lord vnto the Eunuches, that keepe my Sabbaths, and chuse the thing that pleaseth me, and take holde of my couenant,(Geneva) Ésaïe 56:4 Car ainsi parle l'Eternel: Aux eunuques qui garderont mes sabbats, Qui choisiront ce qui m'est agréable, Et qui persévéreront dans mon alliance,(FR) 4 ׃56 כִּי־כֹ֣ה ׀ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֗ה לַסָּֽרִיסִים֙ אֲשֶׁ֤ר יִשְׁמְרוּ֙ אֶת־שַׁבְּתוֹתַ֔י וּבָֽחֲר֖וּ בַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר חָפָ֑צְתִּי וּמַחֲזִיקִ֖ים בִּבְרִיתִֽי׃ Isaiah Isa 56:4 For thus says the Lord, "To the eunuchs who keep My sabbaths, And choose what pleases Me, And hold fast My covenant, (nasb) ======= Isaiah 56:5 ============ Isa 56:5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.(KJV) Isaiah 56:5 Euen vnto them wil I giue in mine House and within my walles, a place and a name better then of the sonnes and of the daughters: I will giue them an euerlasting name, that shall not be put out.(Geneva) Ésaïe 56:5 Je donnerai dans ma maison et dans mes murs une place et un nom Préférables à des fils et à des filles; Je leur donnerai un nom éternel, Qui ne périra pas.(FR) 5 ׃56 וְנָתַתִּ֨י לָהֶ֜ם בְּבֵיתִ֤י וּבְחֽוֹמֹתַי֙ יָ֣ד וָשֵׁ֔ם ט֖וֹב מִבָּנִ֣ים וּמִבָּנ֑וֹת שֵׁ֤ם עוֹלָם֙ אֶתֶּן־ל֔וֹ אֲשֶׁ֖ר לֹ֥א יִכָּרֵֽת׃ ס Isaiah Isa 56:5 To them I will give in My house and within My walls a memorial, And a name better than that of sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name which will not be cut off. All of them are mute dogs unable to bark, Dreamers lying down, who love to slumber; (nasb) ======= Isaiah 56:11 ============ Isa 56:11 Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.(KJV) Isaiah 56:11 And these griedy dogs can neuer haue ynough: and these shepheards cannot vnderstand: for they all looke to their owne way, euery one for his aduantage, and for his owne purpose.(Geneva) Ésaïe 56:11 Et ce sont des chiens voraces, insatiables; Ce sont des bergers qui ne savent rien comprendre; Tous suivent leur propre voie, Chacun selon son intérêt, jusqu'au dernier: -(FR) 11 ׃56 וְהַכְּלָבִ֣ים עַזֵּי־נֶ֗פֶשׁ לֹ֤א יָֽדְעוּ֙ שָׂבְעָ֔ה וְהֵ֣מָּה רֹעִ֔ים לֹ֥א יָדְע֖וּ הָבִ֑ין כֻּלָּם֙ לְדַרְכָּ֣ם פָּנ֔וּ אִ֥ישׁ לְבִצְע֖וֹ מִקָּצֵֽהוּ׃ Isaiah Isa 56:11 And the dogs are greedy, they are not satisfied. And they are shepherds who have no understanding; They have all turned to their own way, Each one to his unjust gain, to the last one. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 56:12 ============ Isa 56:12 Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.(kjv) Isaiah 56:12 Come, I wil bring wine, and we wil fill our selues with strong drinke, and to morowe shalbe as this day, and much more abundant.(Geneva) Ésaïe 56:12 Venez, je vais chercher du vin, Et nous boirons des liqueurs fortes!
