They trust in confusion and speak lies; They conceive mischief and bring forth iniquity. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 59:16 ============ Isa 59:16 And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.(KJV) Isaiah 59:16 And when he sawe that there was no man, hee wondered that none woulde offer him selfe. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 59:18 ============ Isa 59:18 According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence.(KJV) Isaiah 59:18 As to make recompence, as to requite the furie of the aduersaries with a recompence to his enemies: he will fully repaire the ylands.(Geneva) Ésaïe 59:18 Il rendra à chacun selon ses oeuvres, La fureur à ses adversaires, La pareille à ses ennemis; Il rendra la pareille aux îles.(FR) 18 ׃59 כְּעַ֤ל גְּמֻלוֹת֙ כְּעַ֣ל יְשַׁלֵּ֔ם חֵמָ֣ה לְצָרָ֔יו גְּמ֖וּל לְאֹֽיְבָ֑יו לָאִיִּ֖ים גְּמ֥וּל יְשַׁלֵּֽם׃ Isaiah Isa 59:18 According to their deeds, so He will repay, Wrath to His adversaries, recompense to His enemies; To the coastlands He will make recompense. (nasb) ======= Isaiah 59:19 ============ Isa 59:19 So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.(KJV) Isaiah 59:19 So shall they feare the Name of the Lorde from the West, and his glory from the rising of the sunne: for the enemie shall come like a flood: but the Spirit of the Lord shall chase him away.(Geneva) Ésaïe 59:19 On craindra le nom de l'Eternel depuis l'occident, Et sa gloire depuis le soleil levant; Quand l'ennemi viendra comme un fleuve, L'esprit de l'Eternel le mettra en fuite.(FR) 19 ׃59 וְיִֽירְא֤וּ מִֽמַּעֲרָב֙ אֶת־שֵׁ֣ם יְהוָ֔ה וּמִמִּזְרַח־שֶׁ֖מֶשׁ אֶת־כְּבוֹד֑וֹ כִּֽי־יָב֤וֹא כַנָּהָר֙ צָ֔ר ר֥וּחַ יְהוָ֖ה נֹ֥סְסָה בֽוֹ׃ Isaiah Isa 59:19 So they will fear the name of the Lord from the west And His glory from the rising of the sun, For He will come like a rushing stream Which the wind of the Lord drives. My Spirit that is vpon thee, and my wordes, which I haue put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seede, nor out of the mouth of the seede of thy seede, saith the Lord, from hencefoorth euen for euer.(Geneva) Ésaïe 59:21 Voici mon alliance avec eux, dit l'Eternel: Mon esprit, qui repose sur toi, Et mes paroles, que j'ai mises dans ta bouche, Ne se retireront point de ta bouche, ni de la bouche de tes enfants, Ni de la bouche des enfants de tes enfants, Dit l'Eternel, dès maintenant et à jamais.(FR) 21 ׃59 וַאֲנִ֗י זֹ֣את בְּרִיתִ֤י אוֹתָם֙ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה רוּחִי֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָלֶ֔יךָ וּדְבָרַ֖י אֲשֶׁר־שַׂ֣מְתִּי בְּפִ֑יךָ לֹֽא־יָמ֡וּשׁוּ מִפִּיךָ֩ וּמִפִּ֨י זַרְעֲךָ֜ וּמִפִּ֨י זֶ֤רַע זַרְעֲךָ֙ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה מֵעַתָּ֖ה וְעַד־עוֹלָֽם׃ ס Isaiah Isa 59:21 "As for Me, this is My covenant with them," says the Lord: "My Spirit which is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your offspring, nor from the mouth of your offspring's offspring," says the Lord, "from now and forever."
