Are you not children of rebellion, Offspring of deceit, (nasb) ======= Isaiah 57:5 ============ Isa 57:5 Enflaming yourselves with idols under every green tree, slaying the children in the valleys under the clifts of the rocks?(KJV) Isaiah 57:5 Inflamed with idoles vnder euery greene tree? and sacrificing the children in the valleys vnder the tops of the rocks?(Geneva) Ésaïe 57:5 S'échauffant près des térébinthes, sous tout arbre vert, Egorgeant les enfants dans les vallées, Sous des fentes de rochers?(FR) 5 ׃57 הַנֵּֽחָמִים֙ בָּֽאֵלִ֔ים תַּ֖חַת כָּל־עֵ֣ץ רַעֲנָ֑ן שֹׁחֲטֵ֤י הַיְלָדִים֙ בַּנְּחָלִ֔ים תַּ֖חַת סְעִפֵ֥י הַסְּלָעִֽים׃ Isaiah Isa 57:5 Who inflame yourselves among the oaks, Under every luxuriant tree, Who slaughter the children in the ravines, Under the clefts of the crags? (nasb) ======= Isaiah 57:6 ============ Isa 57:6 Among the smooth stones of the stream is thy portion; they, they are thy lot: even to them hast thou poured a drink offering, thou hast offered a meat offering. Should I receive comfort in these?(KJV) Isaiah 57:6 Thy portion is in the smooth stones of the riuer: they, they are thy lot: euen to them hast thou powred a drinke offering: thou hast offered a sacrifice. Should I delite in these?(Geneva) Ésaïe 57:6 C'est dans les pierres polies des torrents qu'est ton partage, Voilà, voilà ton lot; C'est à elles que tu verses des libations, Que tu fais des offrandes: Puis-je être insensible à cela?(FR) 6 ׃57 בְּחַלְּקֵי־נַ֣חַל חֶלְקֵ֔ךְ הֵ֥ם הֵ֖ם גּוֹרָלֵ֑ךְ גַּם־לָהֶ֞ם שָׁפַ֥כְתְּ נֶ֙סֶךְ֙ הֶעֱלִ֣ית מִנְחָ֔ה הַ֥עַל אֵ֖לֶּה אֶנָּחֵֽם׃ Isaiah Isa 57:6 "Among the smooth stones of the ravine Is your portion, they are your lot; Even to them you have poured out a drink offering, You have made a grain offering. Shall I relent concerning these things? And you have made an agreement for yourself with them, You have loved their bed, You have looked on their manhood. Was I not silent even for a long time So you do not fear Me?
