(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 10:2 ============ Jer 10:2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.(KJV) Jeremiah 10:2 Thus saith the Lorde, Learne not the way of the heathen, & be not afraid for the signes of heauen, though the heathen be afraid of such.(Geneva) Jérémie 10:2 Ainsi parle l'Eternel: N'imitez pas la voie des nations, Et ne craignez pas les signes du ciel, Parce que les nations les craignent.(FR) 2 ׃10 כֹּ֣ה ׀ אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֗ה אֶל־דֶּ֤רֶךְ הַגּוֹיִם֙ אַל־תִּלְמָ֔דוּ וּמֵאֹת֥וֹת הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם אַל־תֵּחָ֑תּוּ כִּֽי־יֵחַ֥תּוּ הַגּוֹיִ֖ם מֵהֵֽמָּה׃ Jeremiah Jer 10:2 Thus says the Lord, "Do not learn the way of the nations, And do not be terrified by the signs of the heavens Although the nations are terrified by them; (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 10:3 ============ Jer 10:3 For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.(KJV) Jeremiah 10:3 For the customes of the people are vaine: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest (which is the worke of the handes of the carpenter) with the axe,(Geneva) Jérémie 10:3 Car les coutumes des peuples ne sont que vanité. On coupe le bois dans la forêt; La main de l'ouvrier le travaille avec la hache;(FR) 3 ׃10 כִּֽי־חֻקּ֥וֹת הָֽעַמִּ֖ים הֶ֣בֶל ה֑וּא כִּֽי־עֵץ֙ מִיַּ֣עַר כְּרָת֔וֹ מַעֲשֵׂ֥ה יְדֵ֥י־חָרָ֖שׁ בַּֽמַּעֲצָֽד׃ Jeremiah Jer 10:3 For the customs of the peoples are delusion; Because it is wood cut from the forest, The work of the hands of a craftsman with a cutting tool. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 10:5 ============ Jer 10:5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.(KJV) Jeremiah 10:5 The idoles stande vp as the palme tree, but speake not: they are borne because they cannot go feare them not, for they cannot do euill, neither can they do good.(Geneva) Jérémie 10:5 Ces dieux sont comme une colonne massive, et ils ne parlent point; On les porte, parce qu'ils ne peuvent marcher. Ne les craignez pas, car ils ne sauraient faire aucun mal, Et ils sont incapables de faire du bien.(FR) 5 ׃10 כְּתֹ֨מֶר מִקְשָׁ֥ה הֵ֙מָּה֙ וְלֹ֣א יְדַבֵּ֔רוּ נָשׂ֥וֹא יִנָּשׂ֖וּא כִּ֣י לֹ֣א יִצְעָ֑דוּ אַל־תִּֽירְא֤וּ מֵהֶם֙ כִּי־לֹ֣א יָרֵ֔עוּ וְגַם־הֵיטֵ֖יב אֵ֥ין אוֹתָֽם׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 10:5 "Like a scarecrow in a cucumber field are they, And they cannot speak; They must be carried, Because they cannot walk! Do not fear them, For they can do no harm, Nor can they do any good."(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 10:6 ============ Jer 10:6 Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy name is great in might.(KJV) Jeremiah 10:6 There is none like vnto thee, O Lorde: thou art great, and thy name is great in power.(Geneva) Jérémie 10:6 Nul n'est semblable à toi, ô Eternel! Tu es grand, et ton nom est grand par ta puissance.(FR) 6 ׃10 מֵאֵ֥ין כָּמ֖וֹךָ יְהוָ֑ה גָּד֥וֹל אַתָּ֛ה וְגָד֥וֹל שִׁמְךָ֖ בִּגְבוּרָֽה׃ Jeremiah Jer 10:6 There is none like You, O Lord; You are great, and great is Your name in might. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 10:7 ============ Jer 10:7 Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee.(KJV) Jeremiah 10:7 Who would not feare thee, O King of nations? For to thee appertaineth the dominion: for among all the wise men of the Gentiles, and in al their kingdomes there is none like thee.(Geneva) Jérémie 10:7 Qui ne te craindrait, roi des nations? Indeed it is Your due! For among all the wise men of the nations And in all their kingdoms, There is none like You. At His wrath the earth quakes, And the nations cannot endure His indignation. There is no one to stretch out my tent again Or to set up my curtains. Behold, it comes - A great commotion out of the land of the north - To make the cities of Judah A desolation, a haunt of jackals. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 10:23 ============ Jer 10:23 O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.(KJV) Jeremiah 10:23 O Lord, I knowe, that the way of man is not in himselfe, neyther is it in man to walke and to direct his steps.(Geneva) Jérémie 10:23 Je le sais, ô Eternel!
