Today's Date: ======= Jeremiah 11:1 ============ Jer 11:1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD saying,(KJV) Jeremiah 11:1 The worde that came to Ieremiah from the Lord, saying,(Geneva) Jérémie 11:1 La parole qui fut adressée à Jérémie de la part de l'Eternel, en ces mots:(FR) 1 ׃11 הַדָּבָר֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר הָיָ֣ה אֶֽל־יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ מֵאֵ֥ת יְהוָ֖ה לֵאמֹֽר׃ Jeremiah Jer 11:1 The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying, (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 11:2 ============ Jer 11:2 Hear ye the words of this covenant, and speak unto the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem;(KJV) Jeremiah 11:2 Heare ye the wordes of this couenant, and speake vnto the men of Iudah, and to the inhabitants of Ierusalem,(Geneva) Jérémie 11:2 Ecoutez les paroles de cette alliance, Et parlez aux hommes de Juda et aux habitants de Jérusalem!(FR) 2 ׃11 שִׁמְע֕וּ אֶת־דִּבְרֵ֖י הַבְּרִ֣ית הַזֹּ֑את וְדִבַּרְתָּם֙ אֶל־אִ֣ישׁ יְהוּדָ֔ה וְעַל־יֹשְׁבֵ֖י יְרוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃ Jeremiah Jer 11:2 "Hear the words of this covenant, and speak to the men of Judah and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem; (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 11:3 ============ Jer 11:3 And say thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel; Cursed be the man that obeyeth not the words of this covenant,(KJV) Jeremiah 11:3 And say thou vnto them, Thus sayeth the Lorde God of Israel, Cursed be the man that obeyeth not the wordes of this couenant,(Geneva) Jérémie 11:3 Dis-leur: Ainsi parle l'Eternel, le Dieu d'Israël: Maudit soit l'homme qui n'écoute point les paroles de cette alliance,(FR) 3 ׃11 וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם כֹּֽה־אָמַ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל אָר֣וּר הָאִ֔ישׁ אֲשֶׁר֙ לֹ֣א יִשְׁמַ֔ע אֶת־דִּבְרֵ֖י הַבְּרִ֥ית הַזֹּֽאת׃ Jeremiah Jer 11:3 and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel," Cursed is the man who does not heed the words of this covenant(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 11:4 ============ Jer 11:4 Which I commanded your fathers in the day that I brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying, Obey my voice, and do them, according to all which I command you: so shall ye be my people, and I will be your God:(KJV) Jeremiah 11:4 Which I commaunded vnto your fathers, when I brought them out of the lande of Egypt, from the yron fornace, saying, Obey my voyce, and doe according to all these things, which I commande you: so shall ye be my people, and I will be your God,(Geneva) Jérémie 11:4 Que j'ai prescrite à vos pères, Le jour où je les ai fait sortir du pays d'Egypte, De la fournaise de fer, en disant: Ecoutez ma voix, et faites tout ce que je vous ordonnerai; Alors vous serez mon peuple, Je serai votre Dieu,(FR) 4 ׃11 אֲשֶׁ֣ר צִוִּ֣יתִי אֶת־אֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֡ם בְּי֣וֹם הוֹצִיאִֽי־אוֹתָ֣ם מֵאֶֽרֶץ־מִצְרַיִם֩ מִכּ֨וּר הַבַּרְזֶ֜ל לֵאמֹ֗ר שִׁמְע֤וּ בְקוֹלִי֙ וַעֲשִׂיתֶ֣ם אוֹתָ֔ם כְּכֹ֥ל אֲשֶׁר־אֲצַוֶּ֖ה אֶתְכֶ֑ם וִהְיִ֤יתֶם לִי֙ לְעָ֔ם וְאָ֣נֹכִ֔י אֶהְיֶ֥ה לָכֶ֖ם לֵאלֹהִֽים׃ Jeremiah Jer 11:4 which I commanded your forefathers in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying, 'Listen to My voice, and do according to all which I command you; so you shall be My people, and I will be your God, '(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 11:5 ============ Jer 11:5 That I may perform the oath which I have sworn unto your fathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is this day. Then answered I, and said, So be it, O LORD.(KJV) Jeremiah 11:5 That I may confirme the othe, that I haue sworne vnto your fathers, to giue them a lande, which floweth with milke and hony, as appeareth this day. Then answered I and sayde, So be it, O Lord.(Geneva) Jérémie 11:5 Et j'accomplirai le serment que j'ai fait à vos pères, De leur donner un pays où coulent le lait et le miel, Comme vous le voyez aujourd'hui. -Et je répondis: Amen, Eternel!(FR) 5 ׃11 לְמַעַן֩ הָקִ֨ים אֶת־הַשְּׁבוּעָ֜ה אֲשֶׁר־נִשְׁבַּ֣עְתִּי לַאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֗ם לָתֵ֤ת לָהֶם֙ אֶ֣רֶץ זָבַ֥ת חָלָ֛ב וּדְבַ֖שׁ כַּיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֑ה וָאַ֥עַן וָאֹמַ֖ר אָמֵ֥ן ׀ יְהוָֽה׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 11:5 in order to confirm the oath which I swore to your forefathers, to give them a land flowing with milk and honey, as it is this day."'" Then I said, "Amen, O Lord."(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 11:6 ============ Jer 11:6 Then the LORD said unto me, Proclaim all these words in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying, Hear ye the words of this covenant, and do them.(KJV) Jeremiah 11:6 Then the Lord saide vnto me, Cry all these words in the cities of Iudah, and in the streetes of Ierusalem, saying, Heare yee the words of this couenant, and doe them.(Geneva) Jérémie 11:6 L'Eternel me dit: Publie toutes ces paroles dans les villes de Juda Et dans les rues de Jérusalem, en disant: Ecoutez les paroles de cette alliance, Et mettez-les en pratique!(FR) 6 ׃11 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהוָה֙ אֵלַ֔י קְרָ֨א אֶת־כָּל־הַדְּבָרִ֤ים הָאֵ֙לֶּה֙ בְּעָרֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֔ה וּבְחֻצ֥וֹת יְרוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם לֵאמֹ֑ר שִׁמְע֗וּ אֶת־דִּבְרֵי֙ הַבְּרִ֣ית הַזֹּ֔את וַעֲשִׂיתֶ֖ם אוֹתָֽם׃ Jeremiah Jer 11:6 And the Lord said to me, "Proclaim all these words in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying, 'Hear the words of this covenant and do them. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 11:7 ============ Jer 11:7 For I earnestly protested unto your fathers in the day that I brought them up out of the land of Egypt, even unto this day, rising early and protesting, saying, Obey my voice.(KJV) Jeremiah 11:7 For I haue protested vnto your fathers, whe I brought them vp out of the land of Egypt vnto this day, rising earely and protesting, saying, Obey my voyce.(Geneva) Jérémie 11:7 Car j'ai averti vos pères, Depuis le jour où je les ai fait monter du pays d'Egypte Jusqu'à ce jour, Je les ai avertis tous les matins, en disant: Ecoutez ma voix!(FR) 7 ׃11 כִּי֩ הָעֵ֨ד הַעִדֹ֜תִי בַּאֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֗ם בְּיוֹם֩ הַעֲלוֹתִ֨י אוֹתָ֜ם מֵאֶ֤רֶץ מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ וְעַד־הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֔ה הַשְׁכֵּ֥ם וְהָעֵ֖ד לֵאמֹ֑ר שִׁמְע֖וּ בְּקוֹלִֽי׃ Jeremiah Jer 11:7 For I solemnly warned your fathers in the day that I brought them up from the land of Egypt, even to this day, warning persistently, saying, "Listen to My voice."(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 11:8 ============ Jer 11:8 Yet they obeyed not, nor inclined their ear, but walked every one in the imagination of their evil heart: therefore I will bring upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do: but they did them not.(KJV) Jeremiah 11:8 Neuerthelesse they would not obey, nor encline their eare: but euery one walked in the stubbernesse of his wicked heart: therefore I will bring vpon them all the wordes of this couenant, which I commanded them to do, but they did it not.(Geneva) Jérémie 11:8 Mais ils n'ont pas écouté, ils n'ont pas prêté l'oreille, Ils ont suivi chacun les penchants de leur mauvais coeur; Alors j'ai accompli sur eux toutes les paroles de cette alliance, Que je leur avais ordonné d'observer et qu'ils n'ont point observée.(FR) 8 ׃11 וְלֹ֤א שָֽׁמְעוּ֙ וְלֹֽא־הִטּ֣וּ אֶת־אָזְנָ֔ם וַיֵּ֣לְכ֔וּ אִ֕ישׁ בִּשְׁרִיר֖וּת לִבָּ֣ם הָרָ֑ע וָאָבִ֨יא עֲלֵיהֶ֜ם אֶֽת־כָּל־דִּבְרֵ֧י הַבְּרִית־הַזֹּ֛את אֲשֶׁר־צִוִּ֥יתִי לַעֲשׂ֖וֹת וְלֹ֥א עָשֽׂוּ׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 11:8 Yet they did not obey or incline their ear, but walked, each one, in the stubbornness of his evil heart; therefore I brought on them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do, but they did not.'"(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 11:9 ============ Jer 11:9 And the LORD said unto me, A conspiracy is found among the men of Judah, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem.(KJV) Jeremiah 11:9 And the Lord sayd vnto me, A conspiracie is found among the men of Iudah, and among the inhabitants of Ierusalem.(Geneva) Jérémie 11:9 L'Eternel me dit: Il y a une conjuration entre les hommes de Juda Et les habitants de Jérusalem.(FR) 9 ׃11 וַיֹּ֥אמֶר יְהוָ֖ה אֵלָ֑י נִֽמְצָא־קֶ֙שֶׁר֙ בְּאִ֣ישׁ יְהוּדָ֔ה וּבְיֹשְׁבֵ֖י יְרוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃ Jeremiah Jer 11:9 Then the Lord said to me, "A conspiracy has been found among the men of Judah and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 11:10 ============ Jer 11:10 They are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to hear my words; and they went after other gods to serve them: the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers.(KJV) Jeremiah 11:10 They are turned backe to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to heare my wordes: and they went after other gods to serue them: thus the house of Israel, & the house of Iudah haue broken my couenant, which I made with their fathers.(Geneva) Jérémie 11:10 Ils sont retournés aux iniquités de leurs premiers pères, Qui ont refusé d'écouter mes paroles, Et ils sont allés après d'autres dieux, pour les servir. La maison d'Israël et la maison de Juda ont violé mon alliance, Que j'avais faite avec leurs pères.(FR) 10 ׃11 שָׁ֩בוּ֩ עַל־עֲוֺנֹ֨ת אֲבוֹתָ֜ם הָרִֽאשֹׁנִ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֤ר מֵֽאֲנוּ֙ לִשְׁמ֣וֹעַ אֶת־דְּבָרַ֔י וְהֵ֣מָּה הָלְכ֗וּ אַחֲרֵ֛י אֱלֹהִ֥ים אֲחֵרִ֖ים לְעָבְדָ֑ם הֵפֵ֤רוּ בֵֽית־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ וּבֵ֣ית יְהוּדָ֔ה אֶת־בְּרִיתִ֕י אֲשֶׁ֥ר כָּרַ֖תִּי אֶת־אֲבוֹתָֽם׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 11:10 They have turned back to the iniquities of their ancestors who refused to hear My words, and they have gone after other gods to serve them; the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken My covenant which I made with their fathers."(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 11:11 ============ Jer 11:11 Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they shall cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them.(KJV) Jeremiah 11:11 Therefore thus sayth the Lord, Beholde, I will bring a plague vpon them, which they shall not be able to escape, and though they crye vnto me, I will not heare them.(Geneva) Jérémie 11:11 C'est pourquoi ainsi parle l'Eternel: Voici, je vais faire venir sur eux des malheurs Dont ils ne pourront se délivrer. Ils crieront vers moi, Et je ne les écouterai pas.(FR) 11 ׃11 לָכֵ֗ן כֹּ֚ה אָמַ֣ר יְהוָ֔ה הִנְנִ֨י מֵבִ֤יא אֲלֵיהֶם֙ רָעָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר לֹֽא־יוּכְל֖וּ לָצֵ֣את מִמֶּ֑נָּה וְזָעֲק֣וּ אֵלַ֔י וְלֹ֥א אֶשְׁמַ֖ע אֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ Jeremiah Jer 11:11 Therefore thus says the Lord, "Behold I am bringing disaster on them which they will not be able to escape; though they will cry to Me, yet I will not listen to them. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 11:12 ============ Jer 11:12 Then shall the cities of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem go, and cry unto the gods unto whom they offer incense: but they shall not save them at all in the time of their trouble.(KJV) Jeremiah 11:12 Then shall the cities of Iudah, and the inhabitants of Ierusalem goe, and crie vnto the gods vnto whome they offer incense, but they shall not bee able to helpe them in time of their trouble.(Geneva) Jérémie 11:12 Les villes de Juda et les habitants de Jérusalem Iront invoquer les dieux auxquels ils offrent de l'encens, Mais ils ne les sauveront pas au temps de leur malheur.(FR) 12 ׃11 וְהָֽלְכ֞וּ עָרֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֗ה וְיֹשְׁבֵי֙ יְר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם וְזָֽעֲקוּ֙ אֶל־הָ֣אֱלֹהִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֛ר הֵ֥ם מְקַטְּרִ֖ים לָהֶ֑ם וְהוֹשֵׁ֛עַ לֹֽא־יוֹשִׁ֥יעוּ לָהֶ֖ם בְּעֵ֥ת רָעָתָֽם׃ Jeremiah Jer 11:12 Then the cities of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem will go and cry to the gods to whom they burn incense, but they surely will not save them in the time of their disaster. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 11:13 ============ Jer 11:13 For according to the number of thy cities were thy gods, O Judah; and according to the number of the streets of Jerusalem have ye set up altars to that shameful thing, even altars to burn incense unto Baal.(KJV) Jeremiah 11:13 For according to the number of thy cities were thy gods, O Iudah, and according to the number of the streetes of Ierusalem haue yee set vp altars of confusion, euen altars to burne incense vnto Baal.(Geneva) Jérémie 11:13 Car tu as autant de dieux que de villes, ô Juda! Et autant Jérusalem a de rues, Autant vous avez dressé d'autels aux idoles, D'autels pour offrir de l'encens à Baal...(FR) 13 ׃11 כִּ֚י מִסְפַּ֣ר עָרֶ֔יךָ הָי֥וּ אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ יְהוּדָ֑ה וּמִסְפַּ֞ר חֻצ֣וֹת יְרוּשָׁלִַ֗ם שַׂמְתֶּ֤ם מִזְבְּחוֹת֙ לַבֹּ֔שֶׁת מִזְבְּח֖וֹת לְקַטֵּ֥ר לַבָּֽעַל׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 11:13 For your gods are as many as your cities, O Judah; and as many as the streets of Jerusalem are the altars you have set up to the shameful thing, altars to burn incense to Baal. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 11:14 ============ Jer 11:14 Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear them in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble.(KJV) Jeremiah 11:14 Therfore thou shalt not pray for this people, neither lift vp a crie, or prayer for them: for when they cry vnto mee in their trouble, I will not heare them.(Geneva) Jérémie 11:14 Et toi, n'intercède pas en faveur de ce peuple, N'élève pour eux ni supplications ni prières; Car je ne les écouterai pas, Quand ils m'invoqueront à cause de leur malheur.(FR) 14 ׃11 וְאַתָּ֗ה אַל־תִּתְפַּלֵּל֙ בְּעַד־הָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֔ה וְאַל־תִּשָּׂ֥א בַעֲדָ֖ם רִנָּ֣ה וּתְפִלָּ֑ה כִּ֣י אֵינֶ֣נִּי שֹׁמֵ֗עַ בְּעֵ֛ת קָרְאָ֥ם אֵלַ֖י בְּעַ֥ד רָעָתָֽם׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 11:14 "Therefore do not pray for this people, nor lift up a cry or prayer for them; for I will not listen when they call to Me because of their disaster. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 11:15 ============ Jer 11:15 What hath my beloved to do in mine house, seeing she hath wrought lewdness with many, and the holy flesh is passed from thee? when thou doest evil, then thou rejoicest.(KJV) Jeremiah 11:15 What shoulde my beloued tarie in mine house, seeing they haue committed abomination with manie? and the holy flesh goeth away from thee: yet when thou doest euill, thou reioycest.(Geneva) Jérémie 11:15 Que ferait mon bien-aimé dans ma maison? Il s'y commet une foule de crimes. La chair sacrée disparaîtra devant toi. Quand tu fais le mal, c'est alors que tu triomphes!(FR) 15 ׃11 מֶ֣ה לִֽידִידִ֞י בְּבֵיתִ֗י עֲשׂוֹתָ֤הּ הַֽמְזִמָּ֙תָה֙ הָֽרַבִּ֔ים וּבְשַׂר־קֹ֖דֶשׁ יַעַבְר֣וּ מֵֽעָלָ֑יִךְ כִּ֥י רָעָתֵ֖כִי אָ֥ז תַּעֲלֹֽזִי׃ Jeremiah Jer 11:15 "What right has My beloved in My house When she has done many vile deeds? Can the sacrificial flesh take away from you your disaster, So that you can rejoice?"(nasb) ======= Jeremiah 11:16 ============ Jer 11:16 The LORD called thy name, A green olive tree, fair, and of goodly fruit: with the noise of a great tumult he hath kindled fire upon it, and the branches of it are broken.(KJV) Jeremiah 11:16 The Lord called thy name, A greene oliue tree, faire, and of goodly fruite: but with noyse and great tumult he hath set fyre vpon it, and the branches of it are broken.(Geneva) Jérémie 11:16 Olivier verdoyant, remarquable par la beauté de son fruit, Tel est le nom que t'avait donné l'Eternel; Au bruit d'un grand fracas, il l'embrase par le feu, Et ses rameaux sont brisés.(FR) 16 ׃11 זַ֤יִת רַֽעֲנָן֙ יְפֵ֣ה פְרִי־תֹ֔אַר קָרָ֥א יְהוָ֖ה שְׁמֵ֑ךְ לְק֣וֹל ׀ הֲמוּלָּ֣ה גְדֹלָ֗ה הִצִּ֥ית אֵשׁ֙ עָלֶ֔יהָ וְרָע֖וּ דָּלִיּוֹתָֽיו׃ Jeremiah Jer 11:16 The Lord called your name," A green olive tree, beautiful in fruit and form"; With the noise of a great tumult He has kindled fire on it, And its branches are worthless. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 11:17 ============ Jer 11:17 For the LORD of hosts, that planted thee, hath pronounced evil against thee, for the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have done against themselves to provoke me to anger in offering incense unto Baal.(KJV) Jeremiah 11:17 For the Lorde of hostes that planted thee, hath pronounced a plague against thee, for the wickednes of the house of Israel, and of the house of Iudah, which they haue done against themselues to prouoke me to anger in offering incense vnto Baal.(Geneva) Jérémie 11:17 L'Eternel des armées, qui t'a planté, Appelle sur toi le malheur, A cause de la méchanceté de la maison d'Israël et de la maison de Juda, Qui ont agi pour m'irriter, en offrant de l'encens à Baal.(FR) 17 ׃11 וַיהוָ֤ה צְבָאוֹת֙ הַנּוֹטֵ֣עַ אוֹתָ֔ךְ דִּבֶּ֥ר עָלַ֖יִךְ רָעָ֑ה בִּ֠גְלַל רָעַ֨ת בֵּֽית־יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל וּבֵ֣ית יְהוּדָ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר עָשׂ֥וּ לָהֶ֛ם לְהַכְעִסֵ֖נִי לְקַטֵּ֥ר לַבָּֽעַל׃ ס Jeremiah Jer 11:17 The Lord of hosts, who planted you, has pronounced evil against you because of the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have done to provoke Me by offering up sacrifices to Baal. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 11:18 ============ Jer 11:18 And the LORD hath given me knowledge of it, and I know it: then thou shewedst me their doings.(KJV) Jeremiah 11:18 And the Lorde hath taught me, and I knowe it, euen then thou shewedst mee their practises.(Geneva) Jérémie 11:18 L'Eternel m'en a informé, et je l'ai su; Alors tu m'as fait voir leurs oeuvres.(FR) 18 ׃11 וַֽיהוָ֥ה הֽוֹדִיעַ֖נִי וָֽאֵדָ֑עָה אָ֖ז הִרְאִיתַ֥נִי מַעַלְלֵיהֶֽם׃ Jeremiah Jer 11:18 Moreover, the Lord made it known to me and I knew it; Then You showed me their deeds. (nasb) ======= Jeremiah 11:19 ============ Jer 11:19 But I was like a lamb or an ox that is brought to the slaughter; and I knew not that they had devised devices against me, saying, Let us destroy the tree with the fruit thereof, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered.(KJV) Jeremiah 11:19 But I was like a lambe, or a bullocke, that is brought to the slaughter, and I knewe not that they had deuised thus against me, saying, Let vs destroy the tree with the fruite thereof, and cut him out of the lande of the liuing, that his name may be no more in memory.(Geneva) Jérémie 11:19 J'étais comme un agneau familier qu'on mène à la boucherie, Et j'ignorais les mauvais desseins qu'ils méditaient contre moi: Détruisons l'arbre avec son fruit!
